Mitsui Garden is always a great hotel to stay in. The staff is super friendly and helpful. My room overlooked the ocean on the 25th floor. Very peaceful and quiet area to be in. 10/10 will book Mitsui Garden in the future.

We booked this hotel so our son could use the pool but the pool didn’t open until 3, we waited, took him along and they said kids under 150cm were not allowed in pool for safety reasons. Also annoyed that we requested no smoking/no pets room but were put on smoking floor and pet toys were in the room, room smelled strange. Parking lot was full so we had to park down the street and restaurant was full so we could not eat breakfast, lunch or dinner there even though we tried to pre-book, we were pre warned it would be busy over New Years but very annoying they do not prioritise their guests. Hotel was very clean and it had great views of Fuji and the harbour.

Sleek, immaculately clean high-floor hotel with beautiful modern rooms. Amazing views toward Fuji from the rooms and outside lounge. Fantastic quality bath/shower, and the usual funky Japanese toilet. The hotel is somewhat hidden within an office building, and like all except the most exclusive dozen 5-star hotels around Tokyo, it's still somewhat geared more towards the domestic \"salaryman\" rather than international visitors - only Japanese language channels on the TV, etc, and perhaps only 50% of the reception staff particularly fluent in English. Cons: Pointlessly small outside pool (which exists only to tick a box it seems). Ok fitness room but 10kg max dumbbells is silly (more a place for stretching!). Overall, highly recommended, and can be great value compared to cental Tokyo. It has to be said there's a limited number of things to see and do in Yokohama other than shopping and restaurants really - day trip into Kamakura is the main draw, but it's only 20mins or so direct to Shibuya in Tokyo as well.

The staff were helpful but not very flexible. The hotel entrance was difficult to find on both the 1st and 2nd floors, which made check-in a bit frustrating. If you’re arriving from the Sakuragicho direction, be prepared for a fairly long walk. Breakfast was just soso, and very crowded.

Lack of flexibility and customer service

The place is clean and the rooms are comfortable. However, I found the hotel disappointing. First of all I had to pay for the day when I arrived. And every time I purchased a breakfast or any other item, it needed to be paid upfront. As opposed to charging things to the room and then just settling your final bill on checkout, which is what most hotels do. They have your credit card on file so I’m not really sure why they are charging upfront for everything. In addition, the front desk staff need to improve their English. Instead of being able to communicate English, they usually have to go back to the manager’s office behind the desk and get an explanation writing. Each room should have a Nespresso machine. A coffee maker is standard and should not be only for suites. Finally, the gym should be open 24 hours or at least as of 5 AM. 6 AM is too late and if you are travelling from North America and are jet lagged, you may want to use the gym at odd hours.

This hotel was so beautiful. It was one of four I stayed at when visiting Japan. Right across the street is the Yakohoma Art Museum and then a 4 minute walk there’s a huge shopping center in the landmark tower where you can take a super fast elevator to the top floor to view Japan. There’s so many restaurant options and shopping. I loved staying at this hotel. There was also a delicious restaurant in the hotel that we dined at. It was Japanese take on Italian. I enjoyed it very much. The hotel also has a pool. We loved this hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

This is the nicest hotel we ever stayed in.The staff are outstanding and very hospitable and kind.The manager of the rooms department, Riri, went above and beyond to make our stay in Japan very memorable and the wow factor. The pools, laundry facilities, buffet, cleanliness and the environment was superb.The rooms were much larger than most in Japan.The views from the hotel were stunning especially the rooms facing the harbour. The back rooms faced Mt.Fuji.They supplied many personal items if needed as razors, toothbrushes, combs etc.It is very convenient to walk to the train to go to the cruise terminal and to travel to Tokyo etc. Many restaurants, shopping, transportation,and beautiful safe surroundings.We cannot say enough about the whole excellent hotel experience.

We booked this last minute as we decided to change plans and don't regret our decision at all! Wonderful hotel with fantastic views! Breakfast was really good with alot of options! The French toast in particular was delicious!
The hotel was a little hard to find. We knew it was on the 20th floor but originally we pulled up to the wrong building - the security guard was quick to direct us to the correct building. Parking was easy and once they directed us to the hotel, we had no issues.
All in all, I would highly recommend staying here. Metro station is close, lots of food options close by, shopping close and even an amusement park!

This hotel is premium and has the right personnel to make it a very pleasant experience and place to relax.
Our only concern was guidance to get to reception. Signage was limited and the twists and turns necessary to navigate through the structure was a bit of a challenge. Fortunately a receptionist was on the right level to provide guidance.
It would be more helpful if the email sent for an advanced check in also has a mapped guidance to find reception which is uniquely on the 20th floor… VERY important information.

Lovely hotel, lovely staff.
Breakfast was great, lots of choice.
My wife is a vegetarian so not quite as good a choice as it was for me.but still good.
Hotel views are amazing.
Close to Sakuragicho station and Minatomirai station.
Yokohama is so underrated. As far as I'm concerned keep it that way. It's part of its charm.
Would love to go back.
Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

It’s a walk to figure out the entry- then your check in starts at the 20th floor. ;) the pool is open 1500-2100. And it’s only like 2ft tall outside, it’s a cool vibe though. Breakfast pretty awesome for about $23 a person. Rooms are clean, spacious and the location is great. Make sure u plan your day and route so u don’t waste time in train stations getting around is a mind game for new travelers to Japan.

We had to walk back down to complain about it before they are willing to switch us to another room. We even arrived earlier than check in time, so I think customer service can be improved.

This is a great hotel, centrally located. It has three different shopping malls right next to it, a great breakfast buffett, and with in a short walk from two different train stations. The bed is extremely comfortable, the shower and tub very nice and the pool has a great view. I highly recommend for couples and family's. If traveling with children there is an amusement park next to the hotel.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. Getting to the lobby was slightly tricky but had we not been jetlagged, I probably would have seen the sign that said \"get on the elevator and go to the 20th floor\". The breakfast buffet was very good with a number of options. We chose not to do the buffet every day due to wanting to explore other options but we did eat there 3 out of the 6 mornings. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Overall everything was great and would stay here again. We had a few of the city and off the the side a view of Mt. Fuji!

This place is excellent! It is my second time staying and I will come back again. Very convenient location. Has onsite coin laundry and some rooms with laundry machines which just makes life easier on vacation. Staff is always helpful. I purchased breakfast this time around and the food was delicious. Location is so good. I caught a Narita bus (to and from) to a close hotel which made it easier to get to hotel than using train. Look forward to returning soon!

Excellent and clean stay. Such a beautiful view of the Yokohama pier we got lucky and got a view of Mount Fuji that we woke up to everyday. Spectacular and clean room. Would highly recommend staying here. It’s about a 23 minute walk from Yokohama station, but there is a station only 5 minutes where the mall is located near Queens tower and very easy to use.
