This property is very close to station just 1 min walk which liked very much. Also the breakfast was very good it had lot of items which I liked too. The room doors and bathroom faucet does need some attention but overall not a bad place to stay. We received our room on the 4 th floor so got spacious balcony which was attached with our room. The breakfast area is on the top 5th floor. So had some good views of Signa. The Signa station is very safe and was well lite with LED lights. Overall a good place to stay when visiting Florence.

I do not recommend this hotel. Breakfast was cold and did not look fresh. The shower door was damaged, we could not freshen up in the morning. Informed receptionist but nothing was done. Asked to be compensated and the same was refused. Also Hotels.com did nothing to compensate us for the inconvenience. Will not be using this website again.

The hotel was 25min away with train from Florence. The train was very close to the station which had plenty of connections to Florence.
However, the area felt very unsafe, the hotel was stuck in the past, visually horrible. The noise of the trains were to loud. The toilet was dirty with pee drops around the WC. The handles from the sink/shower were stuck and you couldn’t control the water temperature. The breakfast food was disgusting. Not recommended at all.

Sadly, we were not satisfied at all.

Pros
- Friendly staff.
- Close to the train station; 20 mins by train to Florence.
- Free parking.

Cons
- Dirty (also seen in previous comments): The shower was moldy. The tables had thick black dust on them.
- Loud: We could hear the other neighbors flushing the toilet in the middle of the night (a very loud sound).
- Hard to flush the toilet (needs renovation).
- Breakfast: Average at best.
- Close to the train station (a pro and a con depending on the preference): Loud and you can hear the trains go by constantly.

All in all, the hotel needs to pay more attention to cleanliness and it requires renovation. It is not worthy of its 4 star title.

Was disappointed as the Hotel.com advertised it as having free parking. This I imagine is parking with/at the hotel. This was not the case, the free parking was several blocks away which is not conducive to a mother traveling alone with her children, trying to wrangle luggage in an unfamiliar city etc. Also the restaurant in the hotel is no longer open if you were looking for on site lunch/dinner.

We chose this hotel for its location outside Bologna. We wanted to be able to park our rental car for free safely while touring Bologna by public transportation. It was perfect for this, the bus stop was less than a block away. Also staff was so helpful rearranging our room when our daughter was able to join us there without prior notice. It was perfect for us!!!

Decent mid-range hotel near Florence

I chose Hotel Europa (in Signa, Italy) to avoid the chaos of trying drive into Florence and find a hotel with parking nearby.

There is some free parking near the hotel (parking spots with white lines), but the paid parking (parking spots with blue lines) is not expensive compared to general parking rates in Europe. We were at the hotel for less than 48 hours and paid probably 15 Euros at the meter for parking the entire time.

The hotel property is older and desperately needs renovating. It was probably state of the art in the 1980's but now, really dated. But the hotel is convenient and very clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating and someone was at the desk at all hours.

The train station is literally 3 minutes walking across the square and costs just over 2 euros into Florence. It is so much nicer than trying to navigate the chaos of the pedestrian only and heavily touristed central Florence area.

The only issue was the air conditioning. It just did not work well and it was VERY hot in the area during the summer. There is also a trip switch on the door to the veranda that turns it off every time you open the door.

The hotel was right next to the station and the hotel reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. Very helpful. Gave us a train timetable as soon as we arrived.
Room was not bad.
Breakfast would have been good BUT if you arrived later than 8am you would probably not get much. Breakfast room was short-staffed and one morning couldn't be bothered to clear the tables.
But overall it was good value for money and I would recommend it.

Great location!

This hotel is perfectly situated 20 mins from Florence meaning it is very easy to use as a base for sightseeing as the train system is great and cheap (2.50 euros into Florence) . Good breakfast selection, Bed was soooo comfy we looked forward to getting in every night!. Shower room was very small but we ere able to use without problem, we didn't come away to spend all our time in room. Shame there were no English speaking TV channels but not end of world. Good fridge in room. Lovely restaurant just over the road (Enrichos) which was very reasonably priced, worth noting Tuesday is there 'closed' night as we didn't know this but managed to get sandwiches from snack machine at Signa train station. Also bar over the road which was nice although opened and closed at odd times Hotel so easy to find - right outside train station, but was surprisingly quiet. Staff extremely helpful printing out timetables and helping organise day out and breakfast bag as were had to leave before breakfast. Would highly recommend this hotel, so reasonably priced and fab location.

A pleasant stay it was.

Had a brief holiday to Florence for 4 days which was well enjoyed. For the price we paid to stay at Hotel Europa, the value was exceptional. It was sizable, clean, refreshed daily and welcoming. Nice shower and facilities. The fellow who greeted us at reception was very sweet and, when we arrived, gave us advice on where to go in Florence with a map, and gave us a timetable of the train times from Signa train station. The train station is literally over the road and very convenient. There are some lovely views around the hotel, as well.

The continental breakfast was also good, although a few improvements would be appreciated. Please keep the milk chilled! And the scrambled egg could be better.

Thanks for your help in giving us a great holiday.

The hotel is fine and represents good value. We drove from UK and were touring Tuscany. The hotel is situated next to the railway station and it is an 18 minute 2.5 euro journey to Florence. There was safe parking in and around the hotel square. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast ok. If you seek them out there are some good cheap local restaurants.

The train station is right by the hotel. If you are on a tight budget trip, this might be a good option stay here cheap, take the train to Florence and take the train back. The room is very small and the shower is very small. The furniture is very old and gross.

A real find.

Average hotel with above average staff. They went above and beyond and this makes the difference. It was right across the road from the train station, perfect to discover Florence and Pisa. The staff explained the train timetable and which trains to catch and which not to, helped us with printing and they assisted us with a very early morning departure by arranging an out of hours breakfast downstairs for us. I would stay here again and recommend to anyone. The only thing I would say to the hotel is that we would have liked to know more about what they offered internally such as bar and restaurant as would have used those too, however they may have not yet been open. We were a family of 3.

We stayed at this hotel from Sept. 11-14, 2011. I actually accidentally booked it in Signa, Florence rather than Florence but we were very pleased with our stay. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. the room was clean, quiet, and probably the most comfortable bed we had during our 2 week stay in Italy. We had to take a 15 min. trian ride into Florence (SMN) each day, twice a day, but we loved that it was so quiet for sleeping, after an exhausting journey from the US.

O pior de tudo foi o barulho absurdo da tubulação que faz quando alguém aciona a descarga, é muito alto e incômodo, você acorda no meio da noite de tão auto. Além disso não tem frigobar nem telefone no quarto (nunca vi isso!). O café da manhã é assim razoável, o básico pra não passar fome, mas nada de mais sem muitas variedades. Agora a localização é excelente, principalmente se você não quer pagar a fortuna que os hotéis perto das atrações turísticas de Firenze cobram. O Hotel fica numa cidade próxima chamada Signa e você vai desta cidade até a estação principal de Firenze (Santa Mari Novela) num trem regional que sai da estação que fica perto do do hotel (saiu do hotel, atravessou a rua, tá dentro da estação, não dá nem 100
metros). O bilhete custa só R$ 2,80 (em maio de 2024) e leva menos de meia hora. Em frente ao Hotel tem um restaurante-pizzaria muito bom.

Nous n’avons pas pu dormir du fait que la chambre sentait très mauvais (sûrement cadavre d’animal dans le conduit), salle de bain avec moisissures dans la douche, poils, les murs sales et surtout punaises de lits. Résultat, nous avons dormis dans la voiture.

Hotel in posizione molto vantaggiosa, situato a Signa (FI) in pratica esci dall'hotel ed entri in stazione (realmente una ventina di passi) da dove in 20 min. circa si raggiunge Firenze, nella piazza è facile trovare parcheggio sulle strisce blu a pagamento dalle 8:30 alle 19:00 al costo di 1,20€/h e 8€ intera giornata. La struttura è palesemente un po' datata, ma le camere sono pulite, confortevoli e adeguatamente spaziose, anche se le suppellettili risentono della datazione, in particolare il bagno della nostra camera aveva una finestra in alluminio anodizzato con diversi punti ossidati e sporchi, il phon a muro quantomeno da riparare, ma andrebbe ormai sostituito, anche se funzionante (allego foto). Come punto di appoggio per visitare Firenze, Siena e Pisa è ottimo, peccato per qualche pecca dovuta alla manutenzione/pulizia del bagno. Rapporto prezzo qualità però ottimo, una tripla 2 adulti e una bambina di 9 anni 70€ per una notte 25/03/2023 colazione a buffet inclusa, devo dire ricca ma con prodotti di qualità medio bassa e 6€ di tassa di soggiorno.

Hotellet lever slet ikke op til de fire stjerner. Værelserne er meget små og meget dårlig stand. Der var beskidt og slidt alle vegne. Aircondition fungerede ikke og larmede helt vildt. Morgen maden var virkelig dårlig.
Personalet var venlige og lobbyen var fin.
Vi havde booket to nætter, men blev der kun en enkelt nat grundet standarden.

Une très bonne adresse afin de visiter Florence sans soucis... La gare à proximité à des trains chaque 1/4 heure, pour 2€60 le trajet. Sinon, l'hôtel est impeccable... Accueil et services aux petits soins. Le petit-déjeuner est complet et succulent. Les chambres, reposantes, possèdent tout le minimum requis pour un séjour reussi.

Hotel situato fuori dalla stazione di Firenze Signa. Parcheggio inesistente se non in strada con strisce blu. Non si capisce nella descrizione di :hotel in riva all'arno visto che non è per niente così.

酒店在2020年1月被中国同胞收购了，然后就遇到疫情，生意惨淡，都是同胞，照顾一下吧。酒店位置就在Signa火车站广场上，没有专属停车位，但是周围停车都是免费的，前台一个当地美女和几个中国美女都挺热情的。唯一需要吐槽的就是硬件设施太老化了，不太符合四星级标准。
