The stay at the hotel was very good,all the staff was willing to help us.The first night our room had no heat and it was cold,so we complained the next morning and they checked and because we had right,they apologized and immediately changed our room.The breakfast was nice and they had incredible coffee!The room was clean and tidy and also we had all the day hot water.

We booked this property based upon the travel times provided in the listing.

These are grossly misguiding with almost everything being a 45 min drive.

The shower in our room was broken and the shower head when turned on would shoot to the ceiling with the water pressure and this could only be used by hand as the clip was broken (you could see they had badly tried to repair it)

We got no wifi at the property, we couldn’t sign in with a code or with name and room number.

There was no cast to tv from your phone to watch Netflix’s despite it saying so on the TV as there was no connector and the tv had no Netflix despite showing it on the remote, staff advised it was an after market remote and that Netflix wasn’t available.

The beds were tiny tiny tiny as a 5’8” female weighing 172lbs I was to large to fit in this cot style bed.

The ac also didn’t work and the room was very hot.

Not sure if they saved the worst room for those booking through Expedia as the hotel was advertising rates at €250 a night but even at €100 a night this hotel is grossly overpriced for the condition.

If you are a tourist, do not stay at this hotel the distance to main Florence sites is about 45-60 minutes - the cost of a taxis is 70-85 euros each way. The description of the distance/time is incorrect. Taxis or Ubers are not available in the area of the hotel - if you are lucky, you may find one in 30 mins or more. The carpet at the room was dirty full of stains. Very old. The AC was loud and leaking water. The staff were rude and unprofessional. The experience in the 2 hours that we were there was terrible. We ended up finding another hotel and losing the money paid.

Two-night stay with my wife. The hotel was really good overall. There is a large arcade with dozens of shops right behind the hotel, a 3-minute walk. Breakfast was really delicious and varied. The bed and mattress were comfy, though the pillows were paper-thin. Unfortunately, we witnessed a robbery, which seems to happen daily in this country as you may already know. It happened within seconds; the window was smashed and whatever was inside the car was taken and the thieves drove off through the main road. It happened in the free parking area on the hotel grounds 10 meters away, right in front of the hotel entrance. Moral of the story: pay the 7€ per night for the hotel's private parking and avoid getting your trip ruined. And my message to the hotel: installing a camera that films the street/free parking area would save a lot of headache and provide more security overall.

The location of the hotel is very good for us , but the door key didn’t work , we needed to go down to reception every day to get it re activated , which was annoying because we had already gone upstairs.
The internet was not working until we got a code from reception although we registered our name and room number several times and that only worked for one day . Otherwise everything else was fine . The room was clean , the breakfast was nice .

I regret to say that my recent stay at this hotel was anything but pleasant. Upon entering our room, we were greeted with an overwhelmingly pungent poop smell. To add to the discomfort, the bathrooms were in an appalling state; there was fecal matter on the toilet seat and the shower was riddled with black mold. Despite our initial shock, we decided to ask for a room change, only to be met with an extremely rude afternoon staff member who dismissively used the \"Non me ne frega niente\" hand gesture when addressing our concerns. Thankfully, the morning staff were more considerate and tried their best to assist us.

However, our issues didn’t end there. The rooms were notably dim, the AC barely functioned, and to top it all off, our room keys deactivated daily, causing further inconvenience.

While the hotel's location might seem ideal for those looking to visit Florence, don't be fooled. Arranging transportation was a challenge, and the posted bus times are highly unreliable.

All in all, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. While there were a few kind staff members, the overall experience was overshadowed by the numerous problems we encountered.

If you are traveling to Florence and do not have a car I would not recommend this hotel. It’s a 20 min walk to the train station along a pretty busy roadway with few sidewalks and a taxi to Florence will cost you €50.

I stayed here here three weeks for business trip. I was in room 105 and then in room 222. Room 105 had a broken shower door and mold at the bottom of the shower. Room 105 had a terrible view. Room 222 had a great view and shower door worked and less mold in shower. Maintenance needs to be improved. There is also a problem with the TV remotes in both rooms, they did not work very well.

Cleaning of rooms was good and clean towels everyday was welcome.

Breakfast was good. Coffee and warm
Croissants in the morning as well as hard boiled eggs and cold cuts is great for the price.

Bed was comfortable and curtains keep the sun out. Some customers slam door shut so that could wake you if you want to sleep in.

There is no minibar but there is a machine to buy cokes and water. The price is very high on these machines. 2 euro for a can of coke. If you go to the shopping mall you can buy a 2 liter bottle of water for 50 cents. I don’t know why Ibis decided to charge so much for the drinks in the machine. There is also a place to weigh your luggage in lobby, why charge 1 euro to weigh? Seems a bit much.

The hotel is next to a big shopping mall. So there are lots of places to eat there. Walking to train station is also possible but there are no sidewalks in parts of the walk. I would not recommend walking to it. Best to take a taxi to the station.

Parking not private this mining is not sure you parking next the hotel and is not sure you found space yes is big commercial area parking but in the nigth for a lonley woman no fear. Aircon not good you can't touch plus my window was close try to open and it was nigth time i don't want call for a cervice check befoure . And now 2018 way ibis do not have a kettle in each room comon every little hotel too they offer a little treat for the costumer. Some tea and coffe. i use ibis a lot specially in france i travell from england but never found a kettle .

Good option outside Florence

We were doing a road trip through Tuscany and looking for a budget hotel near Florence. Ibis Prato was perfect! Good location on the side of a mall, with great options of stores and restaurants! Important to notice that you need to have a car to reach Florence center (30min from the hotel). Breakfast was amazing, with fresh pancakes and croissants! We do recommend it!

Nice hotel great for the price you paid. If you are driving it's an excellent location to visit Florence. If you plan to depend on public transport like we did not do great depending on the day you go. We were there during Easter weekend and no buses runs on Easter Sunday. Had to pay to s taxi to get to nearest station which also had very few trains running. Retiring back there is no taxi stand at the station was not happy to stand and wait for s taxi hence had no choice but to walk finding our way back. Staff was very pleasant but one unfortunately gave us wrong info about buses in Sunday. If not for location during public holidays for transportations it was a very good

Decent base for exploring by car

This hotel made a great base for us to explore the Florence / Pisa / Tuscany region for 3 days. For a budget hotel everything is of decent quality apart from the air conditioning which is not very effective and quite noisy, but we were still able to get a decent night's sleep. Don't expect to sleep past 8am as you will be woken by the sound of doors slamming shut every few seconds, but for the price and everything else these are minor niggles. With a car this location is very convenient being just a short distance from the motorway. We also discovered to our pleasant surprise there is a large shopping centre/mall just a 5 minute walk behind the hotel (you just have to walk across the big car park) which has a number of eating places. We went there for breakfast and dinner a couple of times.

Modern Hotel about 10 miles from Florence

The Hotel is next to an excellent shopping centre. You can catch a bus from just around the corner into the centre of Florence which is under 2 euros return (tickets from the newsagents next to the Tobacconist in the centre)
The only complaint we had was the lack of air conditioning in the rooms.

She was English speaking and helped us unravel a disaster of having our luggage and passport stolen. Martina went out of her way to make phone calls, give us directions, and interpret things we did not understand on forms. Abbiamo soggiornato in coppia presso l’ibis Firenze Prato Est. Conoscendo già la catena, non avevamo particolari aspettative, sapendo che lo stile è piuttosto standardizzato e simile in tutte le strutture.
La posizione è sicuramente uno dei punti di forza: molto comoda, vicina alla strada veloce che collega rapidamente a Firenze e proprio di fronte al centro commerciale Centro Commerciale I Gigli.
La camera era pulita, dallo stile un po’ asettico e minimalista, con la classica impronta nordica: semplice, funzionale ed essenziale. Il letto era comodo, anche se il matrimoniale risultava leggermente più piccolo rispetto allo standard. Presente la moquette, che personalmente non amo molto. Inoltre, i dettagli fanno la differenza: angoli delle porte sbucciati, fughe delle mattonelle del bagno annerite e specchio rovinato. Nel complesso la stanza avrebbe bisogno di qualche intervento di manutenzione: da rivedere.
Abbiamo usufruito anche del servizio colazione ma, sinceramente, per il costo di 14€ a persona l’abbiamo trovata decisamente cara rispetto all’offerta proposta. Sul versante salato c’era pochissima scelta, mentre per il dolce erano disponibili quattro tipi di cornetti e due torte: nel complesso si può fare decisamente di meglio.
Parcheggio esterno gratuito, ampio ma non coperto, comunque molto comodo.
Nel complesso, una soluzione pratica per un breve soggiorno.

Funcionários muito atenciosos e prestativos, pedimos para mudar de quarto por causa do carpete e prontamente resolveram, além de dar informações e orientações da região.
Ponto fraco é a iluminação do quarto com apenas duas lâmpadas e dois abajures tudo muito fraco deixando o quarto uma desconfortável penumbra e impossível de fazer a leitura de um livro.
Outro ponto que não agradou foi a falta de espaço para colocar as malas, uma média e uma grande ficando no chão, no meio do caminho e ainda sem uma iluminação adequada, mais desconforto.
Enfim, numa outra oportunidade deixará de ser uma alternativa de hospedagem.

Aria condizionata non funzionante. impossibile dormire. Un bagno si sudore! Immaginate una camera esposta tutto il giorno al sole, con ampie vetrate ( apribili solo di dieci cm.). Era un autentico forno, da stare male. Alle mie proteste il personale si è dimostrato per nulla interessato a trovare una soluzione al problema. Non solo: disidratato e accaldato chiedo una bottiglia d'acqua e questa mi viene fatta anche pagare!!!!
Per concludere: tramite Expedia (gentilissimi) chiedo una compensazione almeno parziale per la pessima notte trascorsa ma l'hotel, pur essendo a conoscenza del problema con l'aria condizionata, RIFIUTA qualsiasi compensazione. MAI PIU' IBIS
