The decor was fitting to the name of the hotel. Three pieces of classic style matching artwork was a nice addition to the decor (most of the European hotels we’ve stayed in over the last month having nothing on the walls!) Great view of the river.

Large bathroom with a very handy stool! Happy to find a mini fridge (apparently a very rare find in Europe so far). Nice to have water and a couple of beverages supplied. Luggage rack and counter space were appreciated. Very nice thick towels.

Comfy bed but they haven’t switched to the think duvet that most European hotels we have stayed at have done but instead still use a top sheet and light coverlet. The thick duvets are so cozy.

Room was very clean except for the floor. Picked up a lot of debris on our bare feet.

I would recommend this hotel. It’s only a 10 minute walk to some restaurants and about that from the train station. However, the latter walk is not fun with roller bags as the condition of the sidewalks is terrible.

For a single traveler this hotel is perfectly situated. It’s only 10 minutes walk to the city centre and 8 minutes walk to Prato Centrale station. I had no view of the river instead I had the next door building back view. It didn’t really bother me. I am as runner and this hotel is a great base to do my run. Love the place and will definitely book this place again,

If your visiting Prato , this is an economic clean hotel very well situated to walk into the centre .10 mins . Breakfast was fine , but the rooms small and need renovating . We slept well . Good quality hotel with caring approach to guests.

Friendly staff who were always happy to help, a decent room overlooking the river and a great range of options for breakfast made this a worthwhile stay. My room was clean and had a comfortable bed & good shower. Prato itself isn't the most stunning of tourist towns, but it's not far from Firenze (Florence) and is only an hour's train ride from Lucca. There's a wide range of local restaurants a few minutes' walk from the hotel and the station is nearby.

Enjoyed my stay here. The room was comfortable with a nice outlook. It is just outside the walls of the city but still central.

The Breakfast was a little disappointing with the fruit juice being more like cordial and too many sweet options rather than fresh fruit. However, it was very reasonably priced.

The location of the hotel quite good in front of the bisenzio river, very quiet. Very well attended by the hotel staff. If you are traveling with a vehicle, the hotel provides you free parking in the public parking lot that is on the same street as the hotel. Nice breakfast too. Very clean room. I recommend using Art Milano Hotel.

Art Hotel of Disappointment

The first room we were given had been smoked in to the point we had to request another room. The front desk gentleman was really nice about switching our room though. Our second room, which looked exactly like the first room was surface clean. Meaning there was no clutter on the floor and the bed was made but the longer we stayed in the room we noticed more and more things that had not been cleaned, the floor seemed to get stickier throughout the night. Also, the bed was rock hard, not sure if they were saving money on the mattress but rock hard to the point we didn't sleep. Also, the pillows were super flat, almost like not having a pillow. We also had a rental car and the hotel did not have dedicated parking, just on street. We asked the front desk individual where we should park and he just sort of waved at the street. He also informed us it was public parking and the hotel had no liability for anything that happened to our car...we had no confidence our car would be there in the morning...

The hotel was used for touring various places in Italy by train. The hotel is in a quiet location less than 10 minutes from the railway station. The rooms were large and had good air conditioning. The room overlooked the road and river but was still quiet. The breakfast was very good with a good choice of items.

I made a reservation through Expedia for a triple room but then a day or so later saw that single rooms had come available so I cancelled the triple and got the single. I received a confirmation from Expedia. However, when I got to the hotel I was given a triple. When I tried to explain the issue to the front desk the woman there became very unpleasant, telling me \"that is what you booked so that is what you got.\" Needless to say I was in Italy and they weren't budging so I stayed in the room they gave me. When I checked out, the charge was 70 euros more than the rate I booked when I thought I was getting a triple room! The hotel was nice but this experience was really unpleasant and expensive. Waiting to see what Expedia does to rectify this.

The hotel was great for our needs - we were attending a local conference. Breakfast really good for 8 Euros. Slight downside was the room was very small and the toilet dripped nearly all night! I should have mentioned it as one of the other guests had the same and they fixed it. Hotel staff lovely.

Disappointing, bad situation poorly handled

Hotel is in a decent location. Building is nice.
I was in Prato for a conference. This hotel was the hotel recommended by the conference organizers (who also stayed in the hotel).
The good: Breakfast: Classic european breakfast. Everything you would need. Thats about it.

THE BAD (AKA EVERYTHING ELSE)
THE BIG ALARM: On my second last night, the entire hotel was subjected to over 1 hour of the fire alarm at approximately 3am. This meant, of course, both the initial panic that there really was a fire, followed by unease that while there was no fire no fire authority came to the hotel to verify this, and finally, over 1hr of sleep lost due to the disruption. Night staff at the hotel were unsympathetic.

Most frustratingly, upon checking out, the hotel staff were unwilling to compensate me for the disruption in any way. There was absolutely no apology, no discount for that night, no refund, nothing. Not at all. This was the last straw and I will absolutely never be staying at the Art Hotel Milano, or any other hotel part of that hotel group. This negative experience in addition to the inflated price was simply too much for me to tolerate.
I, and my conference attendees will certainly be sharing our experience with the conference organizers who I hope will think twice before choosing that hotel. I will also be advising any friends or family who travel to Prato to avoid the hotel.

Very far to walk from Prato station to hotel lugging with heavy luggages. At least 15 mins walk, need to cross a bridge to get to hotel. Nothing at night in the surrounding area. No WIFI in room! Only works at lobby and corridor. Not worth considering. Not value for money. Go somewhere else.

Good location near train station but do take a 5 minute walk into Prato's local tourist area. We were lucky enough to experience this past weekend, the festival of summer. Only 20 minutes by train to Florence for €2.50 each. Grocery store only 2 minutes away from hotel, we packed a picnic lunch to take with us when we went to Florence. Great running trails right in front of hotel along the river.

We and a number of other supporters, booked for a single night stay to watch a rugby match (I Cavaliere Prato vs London Irish in the Amlin Cup) and the hotel was ideal. Quite smart, very clean - rooms and facilities good, close enough to encourage many of us to take a walk around Prato town) and really good breakfast buffet (unlike the Florence hotel we'd just stayed at!). Would recommend it BUT suggest to any other travelling supporters, that they organise mini-buses to take them to the stadium which is quite some distance out of town..

superb location

Despite the reference to Milano in the name, this hotel is in Prato, near Florence. Very short (7 min), picturesque walk to Prato Centrale railway station along and across the river and through the park. The room was compact but with room to move. Air conditioning in the room was fully adjustable, but never really cooled to the thermostat setting so opening the window and braving the mosquitos was the preferred sleeping mode. The bathroom was well appointed; a slight problem with the seal under the shower screen was reported and had been fixed the next day. Staff really helpful and friendly. Would stay again and recommend.

Art Hotel Milano is great if you are looking for a budget hotel and are prepared to trade luxury for price. It's well-located - 5 mins from the train station, and 5 mins for the old centre of Prato. But it's old and maybe tired. Having a single room, mine was small and at the back (no river views). However, the air conditioning worked a treat in the hot Italian weather. But the shower head didn't function properly. Staff are helpful and speak English. Basic and clean at a good price. Just don't expect to be as comfortable as at pricier hotels.

I think the hotel was ok. I would not rate it for four star. Nothing special to tell or to complain. There was a few minutes walk just about every where and in some point I hoped I would have chosen some other hotel more near to the actually city centrum. Rooms were not that big but quite tidy (and cleaned daily). Service was friendly and they spoke a little english so we did cope pretty nicely.

Art Hotel Milano

The hotel Milano is located very close to the Prato train station which made for easy trips into Florence/Firenze (train tickets were cheap, 2 euros each way). The hotel itself was in decent condition, though nothing spectacular. Breakfast was not included with our room reservation, but we could buy a coffee at the hotel bar in the morning. The only real negative factor about this hotel was the extremely small \"garage\", which could only accomodate approx 6-7 cars and large vehicles such as a mini van were nearly impossible to jockey around inside for purposes of entry/exit. The hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful. This hotel is a good alternative to staying right in the center of Florence, and also much more affordable.

A practical place to stay

A fairly basic standard of hotel. One irritation was that there was no fixed shower head and the hand held shower was on too short a hose. For those who do not like baths this is a significant disadvatage. The hotel is ideal if proximity to the railway station is important and is in easy walking distance of the centre of town. The breakfast was very ordinary and not included in the price of the room.

Im Ganzen hat uns gefallen, paar Punkte möchte ich erwähnen. Das Bett war zu kurz, nicht für Gäste ab 1.70cm. Die Duschkabine ist eng. Beim Frühstücksbuffet, wenn Rühreier oder Kuchen ausgegangen ist, wurde nicht nachgefüllt. Parkmöglichkeiten gleich gegenüber dem Hotel oder die Parkgarage vom Hotel (10€ pro Tag), sehr steil. Die Stadtmitte 5 Min zu Fuß. Florenz 20 min. Autofahrt, Outlet 15 min Aitofahrt. Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit, spricht auch deutsch.

出張時毎回利用させていただいてます。2024年12月に再訪、5年ぶりに泊まりましたが、ホテル内のいろんな箇所が改装されたようで、とても綺麗になってました。
プラートチェントラート駅にも近く、プラートの中心街へも徒歩で行けるので便利。
施設内は清潔で快適に過ごせます。
ホテルの前は川が流れていてせせらぎが絶えず聞こえます。

En la reserva indicaba que el aparcamiento era gratis y no era gratis, había en la calle delante del hotel unas 8 plazas de parking que si estaban libres bien si no tenías que buscar sitio para aparcar, en hotel te ofrecía aparcamiento a 10€ la noche, cuando indican que es gratis.
Habitación individual muy pequeña y sin nevera para ser un hotel 4 estrellas.
La ventana de la habitación no cerraba bien y entraba viento.
