Hotel was easy to find using GPS. The parking was very convenient!
The front information table at the side of the entrance was very neglected. It needed dusting and cleaning badly.
Our guest room smelled of smoke.(a smoker's room) In fact, the next night when I pulled out my pjs, I could smell smoke residue. (We do not smoke). Also, the room floor had not been swept and the nightstands had to be washed. I wanted to inform the staff the next morning and she said they have nothing to do Expedia reservations. In fact, I couldn't get a receipt from the front desk person as I checked out. I used Expedia for all of my other hotel reservations and I received a receipt from all except for this hotel. Greatly disappointed. I would not stay here again.
Upon checking in, the staff rep. said dinner was to be served at 7:30. We returned to the lobby to find out that there is no dinner on weekends for guests. Staff also told us we could find a bank close by. After driving around to find a bank for some time, we found an ATM. however, it stated that it could not service my request. We did find the \"Edone\" restaurant. Dinner was the highlight of our stay in Prato. Staff should have a list of reccommended places to offer guests.

For the amount charged, there needs to be a review done. Breakfast was always the same. The INTERNET never works, or works sometimes, not good for business needs. No facility available at the hotel to arrange tours around Florence, Pisa etc.....all is left to the tourist who come from other places and not having much knowledge of the region. The option to even book online is not possible as then the need arises to go over to Florence to start a tour....this should be changed to have pick up directly from this Hotel to provide convenience to travelers and tourists. Otherwise the Hotel is good and i could consider staying again if these minor points are taken into consideration and addressed.

The staff was amazing. Super helpful. The room was great. I had 3 adults and one teenager in my group and our room was perfect! It had a bedroom, a living room with a full size fold out sofa (which was super comfortable) and two bathrooms. It was great! The only, small critic would be the pillows on the beds were not comfortable. Breakfast included a really nice variety of foods.

Not convenient, We would not return there!!

The hotel is located well for us.But, the hotel is planned not suitable for guests who come with a suitcase or more; the parking is not connected to the hotel, so you have to carry it from the ground floor garage up to the street and then to the lobby located on the basement ( no elevator and no connection between the two!!) then you have to go up again and find your way to the elevator (again, very complicated, and hard to find your way around). If you are not in a good physical shape; I won’t recommend it! No service was offered to help us with the luggage. The lady working in the lobby was not sympathic. Did not try to explain how to enter the parking (again, really complicated, and no intercome there so that we could ask someone because we didn’t understand where to press in order to get in the parking!!
The hotel was maby planned as something other then a hotel.I don’t know what was it.
They promised an air condition, but it did not work, and it was really hot, and the room did not have a good smell. But, the room was spacious and clean. There was a parking (as I explained before) And the breakfast was nice.

Convenient hotel for exploring the area

It was easy to explore the area from this hotel. A taxi ride to Florence was half an hour or so depending on the time of day. Or there was a good rail link. There were several good restaurants within 10 or 15 minutes walk.

This was our second visit to the hotel. For us it's very convenient as we have family living nearby in Prato. Overall the hotel is great - comfortable, spacious rooms, clean and tidy, attentive staff and good breakfasts all at a very reasonable price. Will definitely consider using again.

Comfortable hotel 30 min walk from Centro

I had a very large room at Wall Art Hotel - queen-sized bed, kitchen table, cabinets, desk, plenty of floor space. The hotel staff were pleasant, polite, and helpful. The lift is quite small, so several trips with baggage may be necessary. The room was clean, and was cleaned well throughout my stay, although there were mosquitoes and I got badly bitten, but opening windows was necessary as the room was quite warm throughout the day (at least during my stay in late April). The bed was comfortable and the shower pressure was good. All amenities listed were provided, although it would have been nice to have had a kettle and an iron. I can't comment on the breakfast buffet as I skipped it, and I didn't attend dinner. However, the dining room is large and warm, and the atmosphere whenever I passed by was happy and filled with conversation. Some commenters have said that it can be confusing to find one's room, and while I stayed in the main building where reception is located, this is true because there are several buildings for rooms. I saw the staff bring someone to direct guests upon request. Wifi was very fast, but did not work in my room between midnight and 7am. It is a 30 minute walk from Wall Art to Centro Station and into the centre of Prato, and if you take the river route it is a very pleasant walk in Spring. The location is peaceful and quiet at night. It seems like the hotel is oriented towards business people. I found my stay pleasant, efficient, and comfortable.

Nice Stay in Prado without internet!

the hotel had two buildings which did not connect. Parking was somewhat difficult but free. The room was great, two single bead and a queen pullout bed. The breakfast was in the first building and we had to go outside to get there. Overall the breakfast buffet was very good. The only drawback was that there was no internet in the room. Internet was only in the lobby and in the breakfast room.

Slightly misleading but a good hotel

I needed somewhere to stay for a few nights while i attended a conference. The hotel is tidy and clean and the breakfast was great. There was however no wifi anywhere in the hotel apart from the foyer but the staff managed to arrange a modem for me in my room on my second day. There isn't any room service until after 6pm and its only available until 9pm. There is also no bar to \"have a drink at after a busy day\", and there are no coffee making facilities in the room. Location was good though with only a 15 minute walk to Prato centre and a short drive from the airport. Its just a shame about some of the misleading information.

All 3 days wifi didn't work on the 5th floor. Even after repeated complaints, no action was taken.

Gaining access to the hotel on a Sunday afternoon with two large suitcases proved difficult. Our room was large but sparsely furnished with good air conditioning. The room was very clean and was regularly serviced to a high standard. The bathroom was again, clean, but did not have a functioning shower and the breakfast was plentiful but of average quality. Overall, the hotel was reminiscent of one with a better past than was evident currently.

If Ikea did Hotel's

If your looking for a room in Ikea this is it! There was nothing really wrong with it, it just lacked any sort of character. Suffice to say apart from sleeping in the room my Wife and I spent very little time in the hotel as we had only booked it for a night before Mugello MotoGP 2013. It has secure parking which was nice as we had travelled in our little Boxster.It's easy walking distance into the centre of Prato where we found an excellent restaurant to dine at.

A very nice breakfast with helpful staff who spoke english better than I spoke Italian. All around very functional but I will be looking for something with a little more character next time.

Worst hotel in our stay in Italy

It was our first hotel in a list of 8 hotels we stayed during our trip, and definitely it was the worst experience we had. Staff was HORRIBLE - inefficient, unfriendly, incapable and untruthful. After a tiering flight from the USA to Florence at 10:30 pm when we were deep in our sleep the air conditioning alarm went off ( like a fire alarm) we called but were not helped at all. The noise was so loud that people from other rooms came to see what was the problem. The noise only stopped after we yanked the alarm off the wall - since no one in the hotel was willing to do anything about it. Next night, after having to fight with them for over one hour because they locked us out of our room and wanted to charge us for \"fixing\" the alarm, we finally were able to get back to our room, and around the same time (10:30 pm) the noise started again.... and again we did not get any help from them so we told them we would be sleeping in the reception area, they finally put us in a different room. DEFINITELY, DO NOT STAY THERE, there are plenty of hotels in Italy, and most of them have pretty good service!

We stayed at Wall Art in July 2011. The rooms are very nice, neat, and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodated our requests. The breakfast was nice as well, plenty of choices and lots of food. The location to Florence is great, as it's our of the hustle of the city, but close enough to get their for the day. Prato is a lovely city as well, with lots of great food and shops. The location is just a bit off of the beaten path, however, it's well worth the stay.

The reception was helpful in accommodating my need such as printing out the itinerary etc. The air conditioned room was quite spacious and comfortable with the Internet connection and a nice view. The all you can eat breakfast buffet was quite good with hams, eggs, bacons, sausages, cheeses, cereals, yogurts, breads, fruits and cakes plus drinks (coffee, water, juices and milk). This hotel provided a relaxed and comfortable home base to our visit in Italy. What more can you ask!

Very Impressed

We liked this hotel a lot. The 'art' elements are a little contrived, stuck on. It adds to the experience but it's not worth staying here for the art. We used the hotel as the Florence area base on our Honeymoon and, while it wasn't a traditional honeymoon hotel in any respect, it was clean, comfortable and served ourpurposes well. We found it easy to use as a base, easy to travel (by car or train) to many places in Tuscany and far beyond. The staff were all pleasant and helpful, the breakfast was a great example of a common continental buffet. Our room had a kitchen installed but we were told not to use it because we hadn't paid for an apartment. This made no sense, the hotel rate was more than the apartment rate. The hotel always seemed empty until breakfast, I thought this was a good thing as there was no noise. We will visit Tuscany again, we will use Prato as our base again and we will stay in this hotel again.

Decorso e pulito ma poca attenzione ai dettagli. Per esempio nel bagno nonostante fossimo in due c’era un solo asciugamano, niente sapone, solo Shampoo. Minibar praticamente vuoto, niente caffè te o bevande ma solo due bottigliette di acqua.

L'hotel nelle parti comuni è piuttosto datato e mostra i segni dell'usura. Le camere sono state ben ristrutturate. Il telefono in camera non funzionava. Ho trovato tracce di polvere agli angoli della camera. Al mio arrivo ho trovato il parcheggio riservato ai disabili (ho il tagliando) occupato da un'auto senza tagliando e segnalato alla direzione non hanno provveduto a farla rimuovere. Colazione decisamente migliorabile.Trovo che le recensioni siano esagerate. Buono il prezzo ma non tornerò.
