Not a four star stay, cery dissapointing.

We arrived and the gentleman at the front desk was less than warm at reception- didn’t provide us with any information about the hotel or surrounding area, did mot tell is how to get to our room or wifi, no one available to offer to help with luggage which included stairs. We were given a two floor room and the aircnditioner upstairs did not work amd it was too hot to sleep. The manager pointed
To his black suit and said, I am not hot. The temperature that day was 37% Celsius. We left in the morning bit we had difficulty canceling a second night. The breakfast was sufficient but minimal and again the staff seemed almost depressed, like a funeral was occurring

It was a pleasant and unexpected surprise for a hotel near the Florence airport. The feeling was luxurious. I was given an unsolicited upgrade to the room. The view was picturesque.
Breakfast was included and their restaurant area is just as luxurious.
Everything went well except that the hotel holds events and that evening they had some event that involved loud music until very late. Sleepless night. There was no air conditioning in the hotel because it is not turned on until June, I was told. And I have to mention the wifi reception was weak, only being able to use it in a particular area the room. Otherwise, it would have been a perfect stay.

A short hop from the airport, but an oasis of calm

We had a very late flight from Florence airport and rather than spend the day in the sweltering heat of the city with no cooling options, we booked a very cheap day at 500 Firenze so we could chill by the pool and shower before going to the airport nearby. What luck! The pool area is beautiful with comfortable beds and great drinks and snack service. The hotel itself is very well done with stylish common areas and comfortable rooms. If they provided a free shuttle bus to the centre of Florence, I think that this would be THE place to stay.

Posto davvero gradevole con ottimo ristorante poco fuori dall’autostrada A1. Camere spaziose con letto molto comodi. Unica nota è che di notte vengono spenti i condizionatori automaticamente e mi sono svegliata verso le 4 del mattina molto accaldata non potendo fare nulla e quindi sono rimasta più di un’ora sveglia nel letto :/

We stayed at Hotel Firenze for 5 days and it is a fantastic hotel. The rooms are beautiful and the beds very comfortable. The shower is powerful and lots of free toiletries, the moisturiser is especially good.The only thing missing from the room is a kettle, being a tea addict that would have been a plus. The restaurant is excellent with perfect service and food. The staff work very hard and nothing is too much trouble. The grounds around the hotel are all well maintained and there are plenty of little cosy seating areas all with lovely flower pots very pretty. The pool is great with plenty of comfy seats and sun beds around the pool. It’s Cold when you first enter the pool but so refreshing when it’s so hot. There is a lifeguard on duty from about 9.30 am - 8.30pm and he also provides towels. The pool is cleaned daily and is open from 10am to 8pm daily. The hotel really is great. The only problem, is a car would have been very handy, to get to Florence you have to take a train and although close to the hotel all the roads are not safe to walk on as there are no pavements so if you haven’t got a hire car you have to rely on taxis which cost between 22 - 30 euros depending on the time of day each way to the station. This can get expensive. So be aware car hire is sensible if deciding on this hotel. Don’t be put off by this as it really is a great place to stay. I was very sad leaving.

Great Service makes a hotel stay enjoyable!

Hotel 500 has always been our preferred business property in the Prato/Firenze area! It is a very beautiful property, fabulous service by people like Mateo, Marina, Danny and the rest of the staff. The maid service was impeccable!! We were there over 20 nights so we should know. Everyone was so helpful.

Everything is very nice and stylish. The only minus is that the pool staff (lifeguard) is very lazy. At 12 there were no sunbed ready nor umbrellas. Very disappointed to lay on raw firm sunbed.

Bit disappointed but would go again

I have been to the hotels many times. I am kind of fond of it... Nevertheless this time I was a bit disappointed. Starting from the restaurant where portions have never been so small and really overpriced and waiters never so disattentive, borderline rude. I found a big spider in my room so they gave me another room which happened to be the suite. Nice, nothing to say! But then there was a generator just outside that kept going all night long and made it impossible to sleep.
Buffet breakfast is good and offer a good choice

Beware of Noisy Events held at Hotel!

BEWARE OF NOISY PARTIES! - beautiful and comfortable property (very comfortable beds) BUT they have a lot of events (weddings, birthdays, etc.) so we were kept awake by music (ends around midnight?) when on one side of hotel and when moved to other side facing pool had people from that night’s party loudly hanging out on seating area right outside rooms on that side. This happened multiple nights - including a Sunday night.

Nice hotel close to the airport. Beautiful facility very tastefully decorated with lots of character. Not many restaurants close by but a large shopping mall with a few eating options if you don’t need anything too fancy. Breakfast at the restaurant was good and handy if you are on a schedule to get an early flight. Room and king size bed were a treat for Europe’s standards and very comfortable. We would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

Nice place but loud parties, terrible staff

The facility itself met all expectations - nice pool, modern facilities in the room, clean. However, the restaurant on site is greatly over rated and expensive and the service left a LOT to be desired. I went with my family to enjoy a quiet home base from which to enjoy a few day trips into the Tuscan countryside, after the hustle and bustle of Rome and Florence. Our first night (Wednesday) met all expectations, even though the restaurant was very expensive (overly so). However, on Thursday evening, there was a very loud party going on just across the courtyard from our room. I went to the desk at 10:00 to enquire and was assured that it would only last until 11:30. When that time came and went with the party still raging, I went to the desk again and was told by a different employee that the party was held every Thursday and continued at least until 12:30. It was over by around 12:45, but I then had trouble settling into sleep. When I was finally able to speak to the front office manager, she was very unconcerned and rude in fact. She felt that since the party was organized be someone else, it was not their responsibility and there was really nothing they could do. She would not offer any explanation as to why we were not warned of the party, why a family was put in the direct line of fire of the noise or why I was mislead by her staff that it would be over earlier than it was. She and the other front desk staff were rude and unconcerned.

AC turned off at 2am and during the day

Stayed at this hotel after a week of cycling in Tuscany to get a good night's sleep before flying home. Needless to say this was ruined when the AC was turned off for the entire hotel at 2am. Apparently this is normal for this hotel. Room temp soared even with opening the windows. Not even in the smallest, oldest Tuscany villas did they do this.. brutal.

One for the Italians or those on business.

A beautiful villa unfortunately, these days being encroached upon by industrialisation. Though once inside the complex you would not know it. The staff are as helpful as they can be, though there is a bit of a language barrier at the front desk as well as the restaurant/bar. Unless Laura is on front desk. Not totally the staff fault but if your an international hotel it does help to have English. I opted for this hotel as it was 1.5km from the statzione Pratignone. So we could get a taxi. Turns out the taxi’s only come from Prato €20-29 or Florence, €35-40 or rely on car hire. I opted for a delux room and it was spacious and clean, with a ddecent tv. Unfortunately only Italian channels were available. I asked if the aircon could be fixed and the maintainable man came to do it. More on that later. Outside the pool and surrounding areas were generous clean and full of flora. By the pool was quiet and relaxing. The restaurant was lovely, well laid out and full of old nickknacks, giving a sense of authenticity. The menu was typical Tuscan along with the wine, though others were available from a large on view rack. The only question I had was that a steak can with just canelli beans and the menu did not contain any veg or salad you could add. This was eventually sorted by adding ensalata course to the main. Probably not authentic Tuscan. Back to the aircon. This is on only 0600-0900 and 1800-0200 so between 0200 and 0600 open the window and get mosquetoed to death.

They turn off AC at night

We were there for 2 nights earlier this week. On the first night, we came back pretty late - so we didn't notice - but on the 2nd night, we couldn't sleep because the room was very hot. The AC would not turn on. We asked the staff - he said it is the hotel policy to turn off AC between 2AM and 7AM. He refused to turn it on. We asked for a fan - but he said all fans were out. We tried sleeping again - could not - I went out protested again with no better result.

I decided to sleep in the garden sofa outside of the lobby at 3AM. The desk guy said \"go ahead\". Then - every 1 hour he came - woke me up and asked me to go in - I said I can't get back to the hot room. He said he can't let me sleep there - I asked him to go ahead and call the Police.

I called Orbitz to ask them and figure something out. Orbitz's response was pathetic - they basically couldn't do anything.

Then - at 7AM - they still didn't turn on the AC. When I complained again - the maintenance guy came in and attached some wires to the control and made it to work - but it stopped working again at 9AM - we complained again and they fixed again - we checked out at 12 noon.

While checking out - I asked them if they would do something in terms of waiver of any payments because of what they put us through. They flatly refused.

Horrible staff - horrible experince.

I am sending Orbitz a legal letter asking for compensation for that terrible night.
I will also ask them to de-list this horrible hotel.

Wanted to stay longer!

It was so beautiful. It was like staying in the country, however, you’re not that far from the city. You do need a car, though. The food was amazing and we had the best waiter, Andrea. He was so helpful and explained everything we were going to eat on the special menu for that day. If we hadn’t booked the air BnB in the city center of Florence already, we definitely would have stayed there instead.

We stayed in Florence only one night but our stay here at Hotel 500 Firenze made me want to stay longer. The bathrooms were modern and spotless and the shower was wonderful. There were very comfortable beds, quality linens and great lighting. The breakfast was AMAZING. They had everything one could ask for and the wait staff was pleasant and helpful (of course they struggled with English a little but we were in their country). I would definitely stay here again. I should note we had a rented car for the week and it was easy to get in and out of downtown Florence (not that any driving in Italy is pleasant) without trouble. There was plenty of parking and the grounds were convenient.

Very nice hotel, clean and comfortable, but it was way too far from the city center. It was a $55 taxi ride or a 40 minute bus ride into town each day. If you want to be in the heart of Florence this is not the hotel for you. If that doesn't matter much definitely stay here!

I stay at the Hotel 500 for business a couple of times a year. It is in a perfect location for me and I like the hominess of the hotel property. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is great. The staff is also friendly and helpful. I will return to this hotel for business again next time.

Beautiful and beware

Booked this in Feb for July at a particular rate. When it came to paying the bill at the hotel I was told that I had to pay a different rate for staying during the weekend and a different rate for staying during the week. The receptionist was not helpful. They seemed to be surprised that we were staying for 14 days & explained their reaction by describing themselves as a 'business hotel' . That possibly explains why none of the menus changed, only 4 hangers in the wardrobe & no usual brochure in the room giving you information about the hotel. Positioning oneself as a 'business hotel' obviously allows one not to deliver some things . The 'tone' used by those who had some command of English (& there aren’t many so brush up on your Italian) was a bit ‘tetchy’. Taxi fares - a round trip to and from Florence, very little change out of 100 Euros! On the food front - some decent stuff, mostly beef and duck, a 'green salad' was a rarity and the absence of a little onion in any salads made for a boring munch! One of the cooks looking at our order made motions that we were a bit 'mad in the head' - over the potato or chips request. What can I say, we Irish like our spuds you Italians like your pasta! Get over it - and its very bad form to engage in that kind of behaviour in front of your customers. On the upside the hotel is gorgeous! The reception rooms are amazing especially the library. The pool area is lovely just beware of the ants stock up on your Vit B1!

We stayed at the Frienze 500 August 17-19. We wish we had more days. The hotel is Tuscan Dream.

The rooms are a perfect blend of modern - rustic. The rooms are a great size with all the amenities you could wish for.

Breakfast was terrific, with made to order cappuccino, good selection of juices, fresh baked selection of croissants and buns. Good selection of cheeses and prosciutto.

It's proximanity to Florence leaves the hotel and it's infinity pool deserted except 2-3 groups of people. At times it felt like the pool was exclusively ours.

In short looking forward to going back. We can not wait!!!

Very nice hotel with friendly helpful staff. located outside the busy Florence district. Close enough to visit during the day (Florence). Very close to airport and major highway. Located in an warehouse,,, industrial area....but not a bad place. I would call this an oasis destination. This is our second trip to this hotel and would return without hesitation. Bring your own alarm clock or you won't know what time it is in the middle of the night. I would bring a small flashlight for safely finding the restroom at night.

Nice resort with clean rooms and a good pool. Florence is a bit of a drive, and the nearby train station has VERY limited schedule to Florence. Overall nice stay for the price ($105) on a Saturday night, but wouldn't pay full price for this location if trying to visit Florence.

Great hotel for a short stay.

We used this hotel as a one night stop as it is very conveniently close to the motorway. You have to go through an industrial estate to get there but it is well worth it. The hotel is in lovely grounds and is extremely quiet. There is a lovely pool which we had to ourselves. The rooms are spacious and very well equipped. The breakfast and evening meal were excellent quality , delicious and reasonably priced. Staff were lovely and spoke several languages. No faults found at all and we had only one regret, that we only stayed the one night.

The staff at Hotel 500 Firenze was fabulous, especially Frederick and Simone. They were very helpful in assisting us in returning our rental car and getting to the airport. The drawbacks to the hotel is the location. There is nothing close worth seeing. The restaurant at the hotel was the only option and tankfully it was very good. I wish the air conditioner worked better. It was not very cool. Also, the modern layout of our room was stylish,but lacked any bedside tables and the only telephone was in the bathroom. This made it hard to hear for the early wakeup call. As with many modernly decorated rooms, the lighting was very poor and made the room dark. The pool and grounds area are lovely. We chose the hotel because it was close to the airport in Florence and it worked fine for that. The highlight of the stay was the professionalism of Frederick and Simone.

Carina la struttura anche se andrebbe rivista almeno sulle camere, da un 4 stelle mi aspetto aria condizionata funzionante e una TV che non ti costringa a stare attaccata alla scrivania per sentire l'audio. Chambre très propre mais aucune air climatisée fonctionnelle dans tout l’hôtel. Nous sommes arrivés à 15h pour une seule nuit avant de prendre l’avion et impossible d’avoir une réservation au restaurant de l’hôtel pour le souper pour 2 personnes car déjà complet. L’hôtel est isolé et loin des restaurants. Nous avons tout de même réussi à acheter une sandwich pour huit euros!

Un soggiorno dalle h 17:00 alle h 9:00….

All’arrivo camera caldissima con quasi 40 gradi fuori, priva di aria condizionata non coerente con l’offerta lamentandomi mi è stato detto che l’avrebbero accesa dalle 17:00 alle 9:00 perciò nelle ore più calde senza. frigo bar caldo. Personale e posto eccellente pulizie comprese lo consiglio primavera e autunno .

Abbiamo apprezzato molto la posizione della struttura che permette di raggiungere in 2 minuti il centro Asmana, il centro commerciale i Gigli e permette in pochi minuti di raggiungere Firenze. Al nostro arrivo un bel viale alberato da cartolina faceva intravedere una struttura storica molto carina. La camera pulita e dotata di tutto il necessario con un kit di cortesia ampio e comodo(unico neo forse è l’uso dei mini flaconi di bagnoschiuma anziché i formati più grossi). Il personale che abbiamo incontrato si è rivelato gentile e gli interni della struttura erano ben arredati e trasmettevano un’ottima atmosfera. L’unica pecca onestamente è il sistema di climatizzazione, dalla nostra camera non riuscivamo a controllarlo in nessun modo e onestamente mi pareva un po’ datato. Per concludere, ho trovato l’esperienza della colazione non proprio al top: scelta di cibo essenziale (forse meno disponibilità del salato rispetto al dolce) e i tavoli un po’ troppo vicini. Tirando le somme non ci siamo trovati male anzi, solo qualche piccolo difetto facilmente risolvibile.

Dejligt og meget flot sted, dog var der mangel på vedligeholdelse både ved poolområdet og på værelset. Fugtskader på værelset, da badekarret var utæt. Lampe hang ude i poolen. Flere parasoller virkede ikke, den ene var der et stort hvepsebo i, som der umiddelbart ikke blev gjort noget ved.
Området omkring hotellet er et industriområde og motorvej er lige ved siden af. Til trods for dette nød vi opholdet, stedet er meget charmerende.

rustig slapen en super vriendelijke personeel.

Oase van rust te midden van drukte

Op een plaats die je compleet niet verwacht ( dicht bij industrie ) kom je hier in een oase van rust terecht. Met een heerlijke keuken en een enorme keuze aan wijn. Voor mij als whiskyliefhebber vond ik het heel jammer dat ze een mooie keuze aan whisky’s hebben, maar dat die enkel daar voor de show waren. Voor de rest geen opmerkingen

La mi sfortuna in fatto di alberghi è ormai cosa nota a tutti, ma penso di essere stato ripagato di tutte le camere e strutture orrende degli ultimi 2 anni soggiornando al 500. Uno dei migliori alberghi in cui sia stato, è inutile che mi dilunghi perchè basta dire che non c'era nemmenk una cosa fuori posto, TUTTO PERFETTO!

Bellissima struttura, le camere ristrutturate ma di pessimo gusto ,il bagno con la vasca non e proprio il top se non vieni pulito bene ,intorno all vasca era pieno di muffa e anche su la doccia....muffa che veniva via con il dito. Le camere non insonorizzate infatti si sentiva tutto dalla camera accanto.La nostra camera era molto buia e le lampade non aiutvano.Per metere in carica il telefono bisognava togliere qualche lampada.La colazione buona ma con pocca scelta.

Sono stato in questo albergo per due notti per lavoro e l'esperienza non è stata negativa anche se la struttura si presenta bene ed è poco distante da Firenze.
La prima notte la stanza era piena di zanzare, comprensibile per una struttura immersa nel verde ma sarebbe stato necessario controllare prima di rendere la stanza disponibile. Durante la notte, fatta presente la cosa in reception mi è stato fornito un fornelletto repellente. La stanza era priva di carta igienica. Al rifacimento della stanza non è stato rimpiazzato il bagno schiuma e durante la notte è stato disattivato il condizionatore. Fatto notare alla reception viene risposto che questo è centralizzato e che viene staccato all'1 di notte. Per quanto riguarda il ristorante, cena e colazione discrete ma in entrambi i casi le attese sono state bibbliche. Visto il prezzo pagato il servizio non è stato minimamente all'altezza.
