Our host, Ugo & Luigi were most welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed morning conversations with our hosts and other guests. Ugo and Luigi helped us with navigating to and from Sorrento. We enjoyed being a bit out of the city in the quiet of the country side. Very relaxing and great views. The father and son team- Luigi and Ugo both speak English which was a big help to us and other guests. Highly recommend Casa Mazzola:)

Luigi and Ugo, the father and son owners of Casa Mazzola, do a fantastic job.

Their property is beautiful and well maintained, and their service and dedication to their hosts was one of the best I’ve experienced. We absolutely loved the fresh and healthy breakfasts each day, and the quiet and serene setting of the property itself.

They went out of their way to accommodate us in so many ways and were very patient and warm with our young (wild) children.

They made us feel comfortable and right at home - Highly recommend staying here! Lovely location in the hills overlooking the sea, beautiful property, and truly amazing hosts.

Casa Mazzola deserves more than 10/10!!! Beautiful and charming property with great views and is a family run business. Ugo, his sister and his father Luigi are absolutely amazing people and helpful and made our stay memorable. Ugo picked us up from the train station and made us coffee on our arrival. The breakfast is so wonderful. There is a bus stop in front of the property and takes you to Sant’Agnello and Sorrento. Highly recommend this to all people to make their trip to the area special and memorable. Would definitely come back again

Great artistic bed and breakfast

We stayed at this very cute and unique bed and breakfast tucked in the hills of Sorrento, and it was absolutely wonderful. The view of the coast is stunning, and the property has a lovely pool that made our stay even more relaxing.

The hosts were incredibly pleasant and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. The room was well-equipped, with a kitchen that allowed us to easily cook meals, and they even provided a crib for our 2-year-old, which made traveling with a toddler much easier.

We also loved that the B&B is just a short drive to a charming village with authentic, local restaurants—far away from the hustle and bustle of the busy coastline, yet still perfectly located to explore the area.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic Sorrento experience with all the comforts of home!

Peaceful and Beautiful B&B

We stayed for 4 nights at Luigi and Ugo's B&B. The B&B is in the most beautiful setting with incredible views that photos cant begin to capture. The accommodation is perfectly located for a peaceful stay, not far from the action of Sorrento. We used all the public transport options which were easy to navigate, affordable and allowed us to stay in this wonderful accommodation whilst being able to visit Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi and Capri. Luigi and Ugo were the perfect hosts and ensured we were looked after and had everything we needed during our stay, whilst also helping us plan our day trips, travel and restaurants. We were sad to leave and would recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a quiet escape.

Ugo and Luigi are wonderful hosts that are very attentive and helpful. The room was spacious and had an unbelievable view. Each room has its own space on the balcony to sit out and enjoy the sunshine. The pool is small but was refreshing after a long, hot day. The surrounding area of the B&B is beautiful and filled with quirky art. The parking area is gated and safe. I would highly recommend this B&B and would definitely come back again!

Amazing destination very close to Sorrento. The views are gorgeous, rooms clean and comfortable, and extremely friendly host.. Pool was refreshing and plenty of space for the intimate setting. Pictures dont even do it justice. I would definitely send friends and family here (already recommended). I only wish we could have stayed longer!

So many things were unique about this bed and breakfast. First the host Luigi and his son Ugo were so friendly and thoughtful. They made you feel so welcome! Your room will also have an unforgettable charm from the seaside artwork to the panoramic view of Sant’agnello and the ocean. To truly get the most of your stay I would spend a few afternoons just out on your large deck/patio taking in the views, reading a book or soaking in the sun. What a tremendous opportunity to get the relaxation you need. After a morning or early afternoon in Sorrento or neighboring towns it is good to retreat to your oasis in the hills of Sant’agnello.

The property sits high up in the hills and looks down on Sant'Agnello and the Bay of Naples. Beautiful views, relaxing pace of life.
The owners are fantastic and will do anything for their guests. Local knowledge - everyone seems to know Luigi and you always get the best price! - always available to help. We loved it. I really do not have enough superlatives

One point to note - You do need a car if you want the flexibility to get around.

Amazing Stay

You will not find more accommodating hosts than Luigi, Ugo and Daniella. You will feel like you are family and not a guest. Luigi gave us a hand drawn map of Capri on an 8x11 piece of paper and labeled and numbered the order of the spots we should visit. That piece of paper is going in a frame because you can not buy souvenirs or memories like that.

The location is up in the hills of Sant'Agnello and delivers amazing views of the Bay of Naples. The location does cause a challenge if you do not have a car but with the local bus picking up and dropping off near the B&B and Luigi and Ugo providing shuttle service from 8-11 on the hour, it is manageable.

The rooms were clean and spacious. We were lucky enough to garner one of the rooms with a view of the Bay of Naples.

Breakfast each morning was a nice assortment of local meats, cheeses, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit, bread and pastries. There were also several juice, tea and coffee choices.

They also offer various services for a fee and we took them up on the laundry service as we were five days into a 12 day vacation and wanted some fresh clothes.

I highly recommend staying at Casa Mazzola and hopefully we will get the opportunity to visit them again as well.

A beautiful Italian retreat with charming hosts

A wonderful stay with Ugo and Luigi at Casa Mazzola. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome and looked after - it felt like our 'home' for the whole duration of our stay.

The B&B itself is charming - the rooms are spacious and clean, the view of the bay is stunning and the host services were impeccable.

It's worth noting it is a bit far out of Sant'Agnello, however both the local bus and the B&B shuttle service made getting around very simple. We got the bus or shuttle to Sant'Agnello most days and then walked into Sorrento - the walk takes around 20/30 mins, but I believe there is a bus you can use.

Overall, a terrific stay at Casa Mazzola - we wish Ugo and Luigi all the best and hope to return one day!

Luigi and Ugo went above and beyond to ensure our stay was the best it could be. Luigi provided valuable local information on sights and recommendations and saved us a lot of time and money. The free shuttle to Sant Angelo of an evening was very helpful as it is a little bit out of Sorrento. It was so nice to come back to the peaceful, relaxing vibe of Casa Mazzola after crazy days touring and the view from our room was next level! The best place to stay on the Sorrento peninsula

We had a fabulous week at Casa Mazzola. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed warmly by Luigi - which set the tone for the whole week. The house is great - beautiful rooms with Luigi's art work throughout and also access to the pool terrace, which has a view of the sea to die for. Breakfast is great with Ugo's cakes a real centrepiece. It is a real gem of a place to stay - so close to all of the attractions of the Sorrento peninsula and Amalfi coast, yet far enough away to be a real quiet retreat, removed from all the buzz of Sorrento.

The biggest attribute which sets this place apart is the hospitality and helpfulness of the hosts - Luigi sat with us every day to help us plan what we wanted to do - and it is advice worth following. The free shuttle service in the evening also meant that we did not have to take the car out and struggle to park when going out for dinner.

We could not recommend this place highly enough.

I think this may have been the best place that I have stayed in all my travels. It was perfectly located up the hill from Sorrento providing spectacular water front views. Excellent small family run B&B in a quiet area in the hills overlooking Sorrento with a wonderful view from the terrace. Luigi and his son Ugo are both the most charming, kind and helpful of hosts. Whilst having a car is ideal, as there are no paths to walk on nearby, the family will give you a lift to the local station or restaurant if required. Our rooms were clean, cool and comfortable and the continental breakfast of fresh fruit, breads, cheese and home made cakes was delicious. There is a small splash pool but this was not filled with water when we stayed. We would definitely stay again and would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a quieter place to stay away from the busy streets of Sorrento. We particularly enjoyed Ravello, Capri and Vesuvius but you need to leave early when you visit any of the popular sites to get a parking space as they get extremely busy during the day. Overall we had a wonderful holiday made extra special by the thoughtfulness and guidance given to us by Luigi and Ugo.

This is the perfect location for a Sorrento visit

I spent a long time looking at places in and around Sorrento, in need of easy walking distances. Sorrento itself is loud and incredibly crowded. Ugo and Luigi at Casa Mazzola have a beautiful hilltop B&B with amazing views of the Bay of Naples. Transportation was no problem as Ugo picks up his guests at the Circumvensia train station, and for getting to and from the city center a local bus runs every hour up and down Casa Mazzola's street for one Euro. Nice people. Comfy bed, great breakfasts.

They had maps on all the locations we were intereated in seeing. The location itself was a bit tricky at first, but they had well marked signs and once you arrive the view is breathtaking!!! Amazing views and nice hosts. Very clean and comfy bed. Great sized room and bathroom. Very unpleasant having to walk down a narrow road with speeding cars to catch a local bus back and forth into town. The town also has narrow streets with narrow or no sidewalks and heavy traffic. Restaurants are closed during afternoons until 7:30pm. The local train to town from Naples is dirty and packed.

Perfect B&B with amazing views and staff

Myself and two friends stayed at Casa Mazzola for one week and we all thoroughly loved our stay here! Luigi & Ugo are so welcoming, friendly and helpful and we really appreciated all the advice they gave us for trips and things to do (Luigi draws very detailed maps and explains how to get to places and what is good to do which was very useful and kind of him!).
The B&B has amazing views of Sorrento as it is so high up, which does mean that you have to get the bus (or drive if you have hired a car) down to Sant Agnello then walk into Sorrento or the opposite way to Piano (which does the best ice cream at a place called Bar Della Rose). It was not a problem getting the bus down as Luigi & Ugo give you a timetable of bus times and they are available to pick you up from the meeting point in the evening for free when the buses have stopped running which was so good of them!
There is nothing we would have changed about this holiday, the breakfast was delicious every morning with everything needed including homemade cakes made by Luigi and the best bruschetta! We enjoyed visiting Pompeii and also Positana and the Amalfi Coast (however the bus journey there was not enjoyable!).
Luigi and Ugo really made the holiday for us as they were so accommodating and kind, nothing was ever too much to ask and someone was always available to help if needed! Thank you both so much and we would all highly recommend anyone to come to Casa Mazzola!

Beautiful B&B overlooking the Bay of Naples

We were warmly welcomed by hosts Luigi and Ugo to Casa Mazzola, a beautiful, artistically decorated house in the mountains overlooking the bay in Sant'Agnello. We were so impressed by the loveliness of the room and the incredible view of the valley leading down to the sparkling blue sea, with Mount Vesuvius on the right. The bay at night os just as stunning. The whole house is decorated with Luigi's original artwork, mosaics and ironwork. Breakfast was fresh fruit salad, home baked cakes, bread, jam, charcuterie and cheese, delicious. Our hosts were generous, and always offered us advice on getting about and we learnt about local beauty spots. They offer a shuttle service back to Mazzola each evening after 8.00 when the buses stop. We took the train to Pompeii and we also visited Ravello in the mountains above Amalfi. Ugo advised us to get the red hop on hop off bus for the best views of the Amalfi coastline. The last stop was Capri, we advise taking the SNAV ferry rather than the smaller ferries if the sea is choppy! Wonderful place, amazing food and stunning beauty, lovely hosts, we thoroughly recommend Casa Mazzola.

So much more than a Hotel or a B&B.

The Casa Mazzola is a fantastic place to stay and a great base from where to visit the many interesting places in the area. The owners are very nice people who make you feel very welcome and have really become our friends. The view from our bedroom/patio of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius is stunning. A car is useful (although not essential) but it requires a confident driver to deal with some narrow roads and the scooters buzzing around in Sorrento and along the Amalfi coast. We had trips out to Vesuvius, Herculaneum, Pompeii, Capri, Ravello. A regular bus service can take you cheaply down to St. Agnello where we walked a short distance to Sorrento most nights. The owners also run an hourly shuttle service in the evening. Before you travel anywhere, the owners will give you directions, tell you where to go, where not to go, where best to park your car, what to see, etc. A nice continental breakfast buffet was provided every morning, with freshly made home made cakes. We had a fantastic holiday doing many of the things we had dreamed of and the Casa Mazzola and its people made our experience even more special.

Charming B&B with a view

My husband I have just got back from Sorrento. We stayed at Casa Mazzola and loved every minute. The hosts are extremely helpful, very welcoming and make you feel at home. They always find time to make recommendations and answer all your questions:-) The hotel is located on a hill and offers fantastic views over the coast with Vezuvius in the background. It is away from the noise of busy Sorrento, but close enough if you would like to walk to the centre. The hosts offer a free bus shuttle from the hotel to the centre of Sant' Agnello, where you can either catch a bus or walk to Sorrento.
We loved everything about the place - the location, view, peace and quiet, breakfast, service. Ugo and Luigi are always there to help and make sure you are enjoying your stay. We would love to get back...

Amazing host-beautiful views

This B&B is nestled high in the hills with beautiful views overlooking Sorrento. The hosts Ugo and Luigi couldn't do enough for you. Every morning they would ask us what our plans were and then produce little maps showing us how to get there and even telling us the best and cheapest places to park. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh and the rooms large and very clean. I would definitely recommend this place!

It's a lovely place with a nice view from the mountains. Luigi was very friendly and helpful. Shower was a little small and only provided with basic amenities. However, breakfast was good. There is a pool but it is more for kids to splash and soak. Would def recommend this b&b if you don't mind the location.

The best ever Sorrento experience!

This is the best, most amazing experience possible. Luigi and Ugo are very kind and gracious hosts. The view of the bay of Naples from the large patio is totally awesome. Luigi and Ugo are great, picking us up at the train station, taking us to Stellalucca restaurant, and showing us Sorrento trips. They know everything about the area and how is the best way to see it all. Casa Mazzola is more rural, I enjoyed seeing all sorts of birds, chickens, and even a braying donkey, lemon groves and olive orchards. A five star experience at a very affordable rate.

Casa Mazzola is in a fantastic out-of-town location high on the hill facing the bay of Naples. The rooms are quirky, displaying the owners personal artistic style, but very comfortable. The references to 'not being en-suite' are strange as all the three (of eight) we had, certainly were. The owners go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and help you have a good holiday. The breakfast is simple but fresh and tasty. Having a car is helpful but not essential but beware - driving in Sorrento is an experience in itself - the roads are narrow and there appear to be no rules of the road - especially for the motorbikes / vespas that are everywhere! If you're hiring a car, make it a small one! There's lots to see and do but the beaches are not great (and crowded / expensive) until you go on to the Amalfi coast. Parking is expensive everywhere, as is fuel. The food and drink is reasonably priced, with plenty of places to eat. Capri is a must visit trip. Overall we had a great time, and even got used to the driving!

We had a very short stay unfortunately but loved everything about it. The accommodations were perfect for our family. We felt very welcome. The room was very clean and large enough for the family. The hosts were very very helpful and brought us to town and back about 5x. Breakfast was lovely.

This was a family holiday with a teenager. The location was beautiful, the accommodation perfect, but most of all the owners were extremely friendly and went out of their way to be helpful and welcoming. We used the holiday as a base for trips to various sights around this region.

Authentic Italian!

If you want to enjoy true Italian hospitality, accompanied by spectacular views then this is the place for you. The hosts, Luigi and Ugo, will make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. They are incredibly helpful, nothing seemed too much for them and they were always willing to help. It was an absolute pleasure to stay there and I will certainly return. I can confidently recommend them to you.

Casa Mazzola is a great find

Owner Luigi can't do enough for his guests. He offers the best advice for each day's itinerary and is more than happy in the evenings to drop you at the local restaurant or pick you up from the town. Since the Casa is up in the hills the views are gorgeous and you are well-placed to explore Sorrento and Amalfi Coast. Breakfast is so tasty and fresh and we'll miss Luigi's tomatoes in olive oil to start our day!

Uniquely decorated B&B with great views

Delightful and beautifully presented B&B perched high above Sorrento with terrific views across the Bay of Naples towards Vesuvius. Proprietors are very welcoming and freely give detailed and helpful local information and practical assistance in making transport connections and accessing sights and attractions. Great base for visits to Pompeii, Ercolanum, Vesuvius and the Amalfi coast.

Fantastic b n b with great hosts

I stayed at Casa Mazzola with my wife for 3 nights in October whilst on a honeymoon.

As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Luigi who always went the extra mile to make us feel happy and at home. Him and his son Hugo displayed a warmth that I can honestly say I have never experienced at any other B n B.

We were concerned that, because we didn't have a car, that travelling would be a problem - but it wasn't at all! The bus to Sorrento leaves from right outside the B n B and in the evenings Luigi and Hugo even give you rides for free. They also give fantastic restaurant recommendations that never left us disappointed.

If you going to Sorrento and want a B n B, look no further than Casa Mazzola!

This place is amasing. The room was uge and had beds for 3 people. Comfortsble bedding. The place sits on a high point overlooking the bay of naples. You can sit on tje patio and see
Sorrento and the ssea below. Luigi and Ugo were perfect hosts. Great bkfst friendly atmosphere. You became family. They even drove us to a resturant on first night. They 9gave detailed directions and maps

Great Stay!

Very nice place to stay especially if you want to stay in quieter Sant'Angello. Bus comes every hour outside the front gate, however stops running at 7:30pm. Don't worry Casa Mazzola offered a free shuttle to the town piazza. It's about a 20 minute walk from the piazza of Sant'Angello to Sorrento's main piazza. Great staff ! Would highly recommend.

Very helpful staff, lovely place

Lovely place and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Some rooms have facilities for self catering and have views overlooking the sea, others are more basic but still clean and pleasant. The only pool is really a paddling pool, ideal for children but no pool for adults. However it is a pretty location, quiet and comfortable and Luigi and his son are very accommodating giving lots of very helpful tips and advice on where to go and offer lifts into the town when required. Also, there is a bus service from outside the B&B so you are free to explore Sorrento, Pompei and the Amalfi Coast.

Hospitality beyond compare

It's plain to see that Luigi and Ugo's philosophy is to make their guests as happy as possible. The breakfasts are superb, the rooms littered with Luigi's artwork and the plunge pool a welcome break from the heat. Our room had a stunning view of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. Luigi and Ugo gave us useful information to make sight seeing easy. It was possible to be as sociable with other guests as we wanted to. We didn't hire a car and although Casa Mazzola is out of town (a plus as we were away from the noise and crowds), we didn't have any trouble getting around as true to their word, they would give us a lift into town and pick us up when the last bus had gone. We took advantage of the private boat trip to Capri, stopping for a swim or two in the way and the family agreed it was our best day of the whole fortnight. We had easy access to public transport to go to Vesuvius, Pompei, Herculaneum, Naples, Sorrento, Piano di Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast and were spoilt for choice for good places to eat. Casa Mazzola welcomed us with open arms and we had a wonderful holiday based there. I'd recommend staying there for at least two nights so that you get to enjoy the buffet breakfast twice and get to enjoy the superb views. The family's own olive grove sits just below the b&b and a bit further down the road is the Gargiulo factory that produces extra virgin olive oil from their olives. My family was lucky to mix with guests from all over the world. Highly recommended.

Lovely hotel in the hills above Sorrento.

We had a fantastic week at Casa Mazzola. The family room was spacious, clean and air conditioned with a lovely terrace and a great view. The breakfast was great too. Ugo and Luigi were fantastic hosts who could not do enough for us and gave us maps and detailed guidance for our day trips and advice on restaurants etc. They even loaned us a lilo and mended my daughter's shoe! Would highly recommend.

Charming family-friendly B&B who go the extra mile

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Mazzola and would have no hesitation in recommending this charming and family-friendly B&B to others.

Our room had windows and a balcony with superlative views over the Bay of Naples and an effective air conditioning system (fortunately for us as it was very hot). Casa Mazzola served an excellent breakfast every morning and gave helpful and honest advice about places to see and how to get there.

They were particularly helpful in organising transport, which might otherwise have been a problem as the location is a bit remote. They booked a transfer for us from and to the airport which went very smoothly. They also advised on local bus services, handing out slips with the times of buses into St Agnello and back, and they also had an arrangement with some of the local bars and restaurants in St Agnello who will provide customers staying at Casa Mazzola with a lift back there.

Our room and several other parts of the hotel were decorated with artwork by the hotel proprietor himself which we found charming and entertaining.

The electrical system at the hotel has sockets which take three round pins arranged in a vertical line, which we were not familiar with and which did not match any adaptors we had or could find. However, the hotel lent us a set of adaptors which fitted the UK plugs on the electrical equipment we had with us. With a certain amount of careful management we were thus able to keep our phones, kindles, laptop etc. charged.
