Nice Stay in Stuttgart

This is an excellent place to stay if you are visiting the Porsche factory and/or Museum. It’s a 6 minute walk. The room was clean and the bathroom was stocked. We appreciated the extra pillow.

The breakfast brunch was delicious.

The only suggestion would be to have basic toiletries for sale with the other items at the front desk

There is a smell of cigarettes in the hallway.
Also, there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the room. I requested a hotel room change, and the staff kindly changed it for me.

The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was very convenient as there were many supermarkets within walking distance from the hotel. However, the hotel was located at a residential area requiring commuting by train to get into the city. The Zuffenhausen station is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel but the walkways were undergoing repairs, causing problems especially with transporting our heavy luggage.

Good hotel as base to visit Porsche

We selected the hotel since it is near the Porsche museum, which is no more than a 15 minute walk away.
The hotel is about 15 minute walk from Zufanhaussen train station which is has more train connections into the city centre, than the station at Porscheplatz.
The hotel itself is in a quiet area and has a super market just up the road.
The hotel provides a very good breakfast covering cooked, continental and cereals.
The room was clean and well maintained with good free wifi.

Like air conditioning?

This hotel has a great staff and the overall facility seems well maintained. A couple items to think about before you book. Not all rooms are air conditioned. If you want two beds in a room they are twin beds pushed together that you can seperate. (These are not air conditioned). The staff was fantastic in putting us into different rooms so we would have air. Something to note though, all a/c is turned off from 10pm-7am (22-7). If you don’t like open windows, and like cool when you sleep, you should consider this before choosing this hotel. They also have no adjoining rooms so if you’re bringing your family you still need to from room to room in the hallway.

I am happy that I did not trust the horror reviews that I've seen online. The hotel was perfect for me. My main reason for travelling was to visit a Christmas market and as it was quite early in the season, the only one in the Stuttgart area that was already open was in Ludwigsburg which is 2 stops away from the hotel on the S Bahn. Stuttgart city centre is not that far on the S Bahn either and the trains are frequent. The tram stop nearby is also useful as line 15 from it goes to the TV tower which is the symbol of Stuttgart. The hotel itself has just been refurbished and everything looks brand new. We did hear some noise upon arrival ,so some refurbishment work must still be going on, but that was because we arrived early. We had no trouble with noise whatsoever as we were out during the day. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast costs 15 Euros per person but as it's a buffet it keeps you full till dinner time. The Porsche museum is walking distance away and there are many supermarkets in the area. Stuttgart is not particularly picturesque and a city of great distances so no matter where you stay you need to travel for sightseeing, therefore why not stay here which is comfortable, convenient, friendly and affordable.

My experience, WOW! Culture shock and yet accepting to the slight change for seventeen days. Lost a little weight of all the walking, I am not complaining, something that I needed to do. I was very ecstatic when I arrived at Burg Hohenzolleren castle! Hechigen, Germany. What a epic tale of a history story.

Me and my family stayed for one night in June 2017. The cost was a little higher than what might be considered \"budget\", but was fair for the area. The room had a good TV, but only German-speaking hotels were available. The refrigerator did not work (however in all fairness, as we really didn't need it, we didn't complain either). The shower was modern, but the door was somewhat narrow and difficult for a larger person to get through. We did appreciate secure parking garage, as street parking wasn't really available, though we had a pay a nominal fee. The hotel building appeared to be undergoing renovation. The hotel staff we met spoke English reasonably well.

Avoid if you are disabled!

This hotel was listed as accessible do as I suffer from very debilitating rheumatoid arthritis I went ahead and booked it. We requested an accessible room with walk in shower and what we got was a room with a shower that was about the size of a skinny supermodel with a step up and in about a foot high. My partner has to lift me in. It was not at all accessible. Also there are steps up to the front of the hotel. The is a lift from the underground car park BUT it only takes you to the floor above reception and then there's stairs down to the restaurant and check in desk, ridiculous. The breakfast was €9 on top of the room cost and it was awful. Also you have to pay €6 to park per night. All in all not pleasant. Horrible built up industrial area as well.

Comfortable hotel but Wi-Fi service is very bad.

This was our first stay at this hotel and we stayed for two nights. Overall the room was clean and comfortable and the location was exactly what we were looking for. There is a good supermarket nearby which is very convenient. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. The only negative comment we have relates to the very poor Wi-Fi service which was only available on an intermittent basis when sitting in the lobby of the hotel. The service was not accessible from our room which was very inconvenient. The front desk staff was not able to remedy the situation with the Wi-Fi during our stay. The hotel management should have addressed this issue a long time ago considering we now live in 2017. We will try another hotel the next time we are in Stuttgart.

Decent stay, but little things are off

There is nothing truly wrong with this hotel. It just had some annoying details. The building was in good shape, and well maintained. My room was clean, and everything worked.

But...

The \"included\" wifi is for only one device per room. They charge for additional devices. Even if you pay for upgraded wifi (per device), you are still limited by the network strength. Wifi for me and some other guests was useless in the rooms. I do not know which rooms worked, or if only the second floor had problems. No good reasons were given at the desk. I gave up and just worked in the lobby. I think this is not acceptable for many business travelers who carry multiple devices that use wifi.

The booking description on Expedia does not offer an included breakfast option, suggesting that it must be included already. It is not. The price is reasonable, but it felt like a surprise. I always include the breakfast when it is offered.

There is no AC, despite being a modern appearing hotel. This is not emphasized, though I know this is common for many Deutsche buildings. The advantage of thick sound insulating glass is lost if you need to open the windows. And you must choose between leaving your room visible to the street or having drapes block the air flow.

Overall, it is clean and affordable, despite little items. And maybe lots of this is in the fine print of the listing, but I now expect a certain standard and consistency in Expedia listings after so many bookings.

Old, Run-down hotel

This hotel was very disappointing to say the least. The only thing good about it was the nice man at the front desk. Everything else was below average. The room has no air conditioning, the lighting was very dark, carpet was old and sticky, the bathroom felt dirty, and the wifi not only did not work in the room, but we were only given one access code per person. Therefore, when it says free wifi, this is not entirely true. I was forced to do work in the lobby because it was the only place the wifi actually worked. The only reason we stayed in this hotel was because it is walking distance to the Porsche Factory, otherwise there is nothing else around besides a grocery store. I would not recommend this hotel.

A great stay

Looking at some of the reviews I see their point. But, we need to remember the cost of staying here. This is a budget type hotel in my opinion and thats not being disrespectful. I would recommend Hotel Zuffenhausen and would stay here again. Its in an excellent location for Porsche if you're visiting and also a short journey from Stuttgart Central Station with its shops and restaurants.

Disappointing experience.

We had a long wait to check in. There was only one elderly man on reception who was slow to deal with a group in front of us and, even after the formalities appeared to spend time simply chatting when it was obvious that there was a queue forming - by this time two other (separate) people were also waiting. We have stayed in this hotel twice before but this time found it really tired looking and carpets etc needing a good deep clean. The hotel was very full and, clearly, they were ill-equipped to cope with so many at breakfast. The included buffet breakfast itself was good but on the second morning we were put in a make-shift dining area in the basement - with only coffee and rolls downstairs. If we wanted other items on offer we had to go upstairs again and take them back. The first night was very noisy with other guests still shouting etc at around 5 am. Since reception closed at 11pm there was no-one to sort it out.

The hotel condition is very run down, with broken tiles at the toilet, springy bed that don't feel comfortable and dirty looking room.
Location is quite inaccessible with no train station nearby or a decent place for food.
It is not value for money.

Furniture and carpets quite old but the room was pretty clean and quiet. There was a small fridge in the room which was very handy but there was no kettle. Breakfast are too expensive but coffee is free in the lobby. I would say it was OK in overall and I would book it again.

I chose this hotel for it proximity to the amazing Porsche Museum which was 10 minutes walk fromm the Hotel and did not disappoint. This is simply a business corporate hotel there to service the industry in the area and as a travelling couple it was the wrong context for us. We found the bar and restaurant closed when we arrived but they did have free coffee at reception. Hotel was the poorest sound proofing I have encountered for a while. Typical of box building hotels.

Check in was smooth all the front office staff could not do enough to help me out with train schedules and a like they were very informative when it came down to restaurants and places to go see and places to eat breakfast was very good and not to expensive as far as hotels go in Europe, but this hotel is in need of a bad update it had a sewage smell to it now for the good part it was only a block walk to the Porsche complex this is not a swanky hotel or a boutique hotel it is what it is cheap and close to the Porsche complex end of story. **1/2.

Great staff but do not be fooled

The room was cozy and clean. The Internet router was set an hour behind local time which wrecks havoc with services like Skype. The staff was extremely friendly except the manager who hid when I tried to cancel my stay. Stay off the 5th floor if you are sensitive to bad smells I think something died in the hallway. The book in the room says there is laundry service, however according to the staff there is none. If you are over 6ft tall the showers may be a tight squeeze. Again, I want to say the staff was extremely nice and helpfull.

great location if you want to visit porsche museum

As the title says...Porsche museum is 10 min walk(you can see it from the front doors of the hotel)....also great if you want to pop into Stuttgart centre which is about 15 mins on the s-bahn and the hotel is also very quiet.

Downsides are that the bar and restaurant are not open(as far as i could tell they only do breakfast)...also be carefull which option you choose when you pay for wifi as the charge an additional 9 euros for more than 1 device. There is not much around the area to do so with the bar closed it gets boring pretty quick!

For the money its pretty good....go in with low expectations and you won't be disappointed!

Good location for the Porsche museum, train, and grocery store. We only stayed one night, so our experience is limited. Staff was very polite and courteous. Price was good. Main complaint is smell of smoke and odors in lower floors.

Nice hotel. Train station is a 7 - 10 min walk

Overall good. Would stay again. Carpets could do with replacing but overall a pleasant stay.

We stayed in this hotel for three nights. Clean rooms, tasty breakfast. I am not sure about good transport connection to the city center because we were travelling by car but in general we liked the hotel.
