It was ok, very mid. If you’re an adult looking for a quiet vacation, hotel is not for you since there are a ton of kids. The room I book was also very average, really just a place to sleep, the safe didn't work, the soap and shampoo aren't even usable. The good thing about this place tho is the food. The breakfast buffet saves it. Also if you're into pools hurray for you. Again, budget friendly and very average.

We dine in for lunch since we arrived noon. We order Texas Burger. The burger was good but disappointing because they have beets in the burger. The pepperoni pizza is ok not as good as Landers or Shakeys. Good thing I brought my hair dryer they don’t have one in the room. When I told the staff he said I have to call. No wash rug and hand towel either. They just provide a bath towel.

Disappointing and NOISY!

Noisy. VERY noisy. I've stayed at quieter Disney hotels You would think a resort would be quiet, not this one. Many tourists feel they can make a lot of noise late at night. Hotel staff does nothing to stop it. Woke up every morning to screaming kids from the pool. (my room had ocean view where pool is). If you are a solo guest, hotel staff at restaurant will neglect you for group guests. I to make effort constantly to get someones attention. I felt like I didn't exist. The elevators were a disaster. A busy resort with only 2 elevators and the floor buttons did not work. To go up, I had to go all the way down first, then the elevator will go up. To go down, I had to ride the elevator all the way to top floor first, then go down. Sometimes the elevator would skip my floor (4) all together. I was at the resort for almost 2 weeks. The elevators were NEVER fixed. If you want a quiet resort AVOID this place. Overpriced for what you get. Food was average and poor quality. The cooks were probably ok but the ingredients were of poor quality. Meat was terrible, full of grizzle fat and most of it inedible. The only they made right was rice. But go figure. It's the Philippines.

Great family venue

I booked this last minute due to a change in direction and although I thought I would hate this family hotel as a solo traveller, it was great.
I loved that the beach area was quiet and the gym was empty. The room was standard layout and functional. For families this is a great hotel, lots to do!
There are lots of events going on which can get quite noisy but they all finished at a decent time.
My only negative would be - as a solo traveller they didn't expect this. While say trying to order food I was ignored for a while as the assumption was someone would join me, it would have been nice to have been asked instead of having to approach the bar to get someone's attention.

The entire Solea hotel resort complex had pleasing amenities - open spaces, recreational indoor & outdoor activities, aquatic & watersport activities, and vast amount of swimming pools during our stay. The food, though, wasn't good; had us on the downside.

The resort was very nice but the room we stayed in was not so nice. We were charged extra for my child to use the waterpark. We had to pay for none motorise activities and even for using the floaty. Most of the staff are very friendly.

2 day stay at Solea

It’s a nice place. A lot of swimming pool that is mostly 4 ft deep. Buffet was good. They had the buy 1 get 1 free at the time we stayed. Staff were friendly and accommodating but the price is too expensive for for a 3-4 star resort.

Disappointing Service and Room

We checked in a little late that day. I booked a room with water view and all I got was barely a view...a corner room with a leaking air conditioner. Made several call to request to be moved but was told it was fully booked. Eventually went down to the main desk and miraculously, they did have another room!
Photos of the rooms from your website are quite deceiving. It made it look nice and modern but reality, it needed some up keeping...the towels and sheets were over used and old.
It really was quite disappointing! The only thing that was nice was the pools shared with Solea. There was a water park onsite but you have to pay extra to use it. They were renovating their restaurant so we had to go to Solea for breakfast...food was nothing to be excited about.

The place was amazing! Like super!!! I liked the idea that it was by the beach, amazing pools and a mini water park! I just have a concern on how the staff communicate, specifically the front desk, from the moment we checked in abnd out, they have little interaction, not smiling, very slow, abnd to top that, the room wasn't ready when we arrived, we arrived 2hrs late ao I suppose it was already set up, but we waited long. I would recommend to retraining the front desk personnel right away

Overall, it was nice. Awesome pool area. It's combined with adjacent Solea Resort right now because 75% of Best Western is under construction. Due to the construction, there were no pool or beach bathrooms or showers open, which was annoying. Also, smoking on the balcony of the room is not allowed, which is really stupid. They make smokers go to a little area that's rarely cleaned and where ants will bite you relentlessly. So, I can't smoke OUTSIDE on my room's balcony; instead I'm forced to walk for 5 minutes and then get eaten by ants. Every time I come to the Philippines, smokers are hated more. Next visit I expect to be tased and beaten if I light up.

We arrived late in the evening and the hotel was fully booked. Our room was very dusty, the sheets were musty and the bathroom had stains. It was not possible to check the sea view as the balcony door would not open and the room phone was inoperative.

The next day, we transferred to a different room that was an improvement, although it could have been cleaner - especially the floors. At busy times, the hotel can run out of hot water, so be sure to take a shower early.

Breakfast at Solea next door is excellent. There is a greatchoice and food is replenished quickly. Evening food is good value too, although there is no happy hour at the weekend, which is a shame. Also, the rooftop bar is pleasant, but you will pay 50% more for the same drink than at the equally pleasant pool bar so it's not really worth it.

There are plenty of helpful pool attendants, so swimming is safe for kids, and a fun children's pool with lots of interesting features to amuse little ones.

Beware that the hotel has a lot of functions - especially at weekends - involving outside guests and loud music/PA systems. One one day, the pool was closed to hotel guests.

Overall, the staff at this hotel are fabulous, but management need to back them up with decent support and maintenance. Whatever the price point, rooms must be spotlessly clean.

If you can get cheap deal and have kids who enjoy swimming, it is worth staying at Best Western.

1) Room is okay with amazing view.

1) Check-in and Check out are both an hour late and earlier than the usual 2 PM and 12 Noon.
2) When we checked-in, the front desk called us that we had to pay an additional Php 1800 for 2 persons because what was covered during my stay was just 2 Adults and 2 Kids without reviewing that I specifically placed 4 Adults when I booked via Hotels.com
3) We ate at nearby resort -Solea which was within the compound of the Best Western Sandbar, both my mom and brother had stomach ache after.
4) The toilet has black molds and mildew in the floor and walls.
5) The ref was not working. We told their staff 4 times but no one really fixed until we checked out.
6) The internet and cable were hardly working also.
7) The elevator and lobby pools were wet. I do understand that its a resort and it was also raining that night but they should at least be mindful about it because it can cause accidents.
8) The beach was dirty so you can only swim in the salt water lagoon and pool.
9) Breakfast was so-so. The beef tapa was overcooked so the texture was like eating rubber.
10) When we checked out there was no one in the front desk and to think it was their check out time.
11) A little bit too pricey from all the issues we encountered.

The infinity pool at adjoining Solea lacks clear identification of depth changes and is therefore somewhat dangerous

Served its purpose - nothing special

The hotel was disappointing. There was no adult pool and one had to put up with screaming kids, not so much the fault of the children, rather the adults who should have been supervising them. The area around the hotel is somewhat run down, what I would term a speculative venture that's still waiting for the neighbourhood to catch up. The restaurant has the vibe of a cafe, plastic chairs etc, although the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The menu was limited, with a bias towards the Korean market, the country most represented amongst the guests. There is a sister hotel, Solea Resort, adjacent where guests can use the bar and restaurant, although not the infinity pool. Had we know it existed we would have booked to stay at the other hotel. I'm glad we only stayed 3 nights - there is just nothing to do. At the time of our visit they were attempting to relocate sand washed away from the concrete sloping shore to the artificial lake between the hotel and the sea - it's a sloping concrete shore with sand over and will wash away every time it rains - I guess it's job creation for the local population.

Nice hotel but no beach or three pools!

The staff, minus the front desk, were so kind and helpful. Always ready to stop and chat for a moment. The front desk just felt loke the had a job to do, not rude, but not as the rest.

The room was big enough for a young family of four. Everything was provided for when I needed it. Food was food and drinks were cold. The resort itself is pretty clean and well kept.

while there are 3 pools, only one, which was the smallest, was open to use... There is an infinity pool, but not the best for two young kids. It seems as they are remodeling or building... Not too sure what is going on... But the pool does get crowded as the biggest pool is not open till next month. There is no beach... There is sand... There is a bar... There is no beach... The beach on the man made lagoon is not a beach... The beach in front of the ocean is not a beach.

Overall, my kids loved it there, had no problems swimming away, enjoying the sun, food and drinks and just relaxing. 3 days, four nights... Just about the right amount of time!

The room that I had was pool facing which was excellent. If you got a room facing the construction of the sister hotel next door (expected completion date September 2017), the noise and view may put you off. The hotel is just 2 years old and the staff working there are friendly. If you are looking for a beach experience, you will be disappointed as there is no beach at this resort. The clientele are majority Korean and stay for 3-4 nights maximum.

Outside the hotel, there are no recognised shopping areas or restaurants but there is a 7 Eleven within 15 minutes’ walk of the hotel (turn left of hotel exit and left on the main road). If you are looking for a hotel just to relax and get a sun tan, then this is an ideal hotel. There areas apart from the poolside to get a lounger.

Poolside prices are around £2.50 for a beer and £5.00 for a snack basket which is enough for two people. There is no payment required for using the sun loungers. This hotel is unknown to the taxi drivers from Mactan Cebu airport. August 2015 price for a metered taxi from the airport to the resort was 215 pesos depending on traffic. If you call a taxi from the hotel, it will cost you 100 pesos extra for the taxi to come to the hotel. Do not change too much cash at the airport as the exchange rate is terrible. Use an ATM (HSBC, CitiBank) or bring US dollars cash. Local ATM's charge 200 pesos.
Breakfast is good and caters for most needs. If you are a rice and meat lover then you will not be disappointed.

Room very clean + well kept. A few tiny black ants chillin' on toilet floor but didn't really affect us. Only bad thing =shower. TERRIBLE cuz very low water pressure when using hot/warm water, literally only 3 trickles coming out of the shower head; using cold water was a lot better though (still low pressure but at least we could get our hair wet in a few seconds. (We were a group of 3 young guys so we didn't really care if the water was cold.)

Staff extremely helpful and made an effort to answer all queries. Trustworthy too (accidentally forgot DSLR in room for half a day and room service didn't steal it - such mistakes not recommended though :P)

1 restaurant@hotel: Really cheap food + booze (booze cheaper than soft-drinks! Cocktails/beer all below 150 pesos)
The most expensive food there = below 500 pesos. Buffet Breakfast = around 380 pesos (8.4 USD)
In general, food prices in Cebu were quite low. (On the street in the Cordova area we found entire roast chickens for 140 pesos - 3 USD... WHOLE roast chickens! And they tasted amazing - we got one each haha)

Nice and new...missed on a few details

My wife and i chose this hotel because it was our honeymoon and it seemed to be quiet and isolated. Well it was isolated but sadly it was not that quiet as there was construction going on (grinders going all evening) on the northeast side and dump trucks and bulldozers going day and night on the property to the west, this took away from the relaxing quiet we were looking for.

Also of note was the poor bathroom design with no tub and a floor grade that allowed 80% of the floor to be covered in water while showering. Towels seemed as though they must have been bought second hand and were not soft and were often stained.

Bring beach shoes if you plan on on going into the water from the beach as the rocky base is sharp

We had lunch buffet but was not at all pleasant.siomai was too dry, and who would put pancit in buffet? Plus ribs with no meat or too much fat. I asked if we can order a la carte, i was told to wait for an hour, we were a family group of 16, they could have made more sales with us. Servers were at first unwelcoming, but i gave them a 500 pesos tip just to make them happy, then they start to be accomodating. I understand the situation that some filipino customers are demanding and does not tip at all..anyway, u need to upgrade your outdoor shower, there's hardly any water that comes out. Not worth coming back to think room is $105 ...

Seemed to me that guest was not very much welcome, yes, welcome drinks was served but the overall service experience was not. Buffet was not at all pleasing and tasteful, i asked if we can order a la carte, i was told that i have to wait for an hour. Menu prices was reasonable but the food was too small of portions. Not a good place to bring families. The room i paid was not worth it at all. Showers for use by the pool, hardly ever functioned?.worth the experience, but not worth going back!

This hotel seems very new. Enthusiastic lobby staff and very comfortable and clean rooms, even at standard level. Pool facilities are a great attraction. Great island views also. Location is further from airport than I originally anticipated, but it was no issue as I was being picked up by relatives the next day. It is not the kind of hotel that is an easy stroll to neighbouring attractions as it is very enclosed, although taxis and pedicabs are readily available. Restaurant system was a little confusing - the buffet service always looks \"closed\" - and restaurant staff a bit slow, though very friendly. Good security. Rates are very reasonable for the high quality of service and facilities. While waiting for my (late) relatives to pick me up, a friendly reception girl chose to sit and keep me company, which was very kind and reassuring for this lone female traveller! Apparently the building is being developed further which means extra improvements. Would stay here again and recommend to others.

Took a lot of time to check in guests even if pre check in processes were established few hours before.

Faulty wireless card payment machine.

Rusty edges in the balcony and toilet.

Pools seemed unclean and filthy.
Guests didn't follow hygien protocols with no proper swimwear.
A water park and pools intended for the children.

Children who were using the bigger water slide seems crowding up in the bigger slide and no visible personnel who could monitor the children inside the infrastructure. It could be dangerous if theres no adult supervision.
Children were pushing each other in that hole.

Difficult to find an adult section for this hotel.

Kids pay for breakfast it is only 2 adults included in the room.

Very nice view over Pools to Sea. Spacious room.

For a change in routine (b'fast buffet) we ordered Roomservice.

Roomservice not acceptable: We ordered 2 American B'fast in Room in the morning. After 50 min. and 2 more calls, it finally arrived. Looked good and rich.
But:
Hashbrowns really warm, but eggs already cold. We called again for pepper and salt. Didn't arrive until we finished last few bites.
Then for the Toast and butter plus marmelade we found out, that the knives were missing.... used fork...

We were charged, of course, but with all the hassle it's just not worth it to order Roomservice. Guesd, not enough trained personell. We had same problem in other hotels, too. Just not comparable to Europe or U.S.

Evening buffet was good lots of choices. But as usual in Ph., lots if dishes not warm after few minutes.
We found the better solution to go for dinner to be the Grill place next to the Waterpark. Hardly any people and the food was great, even picked up a Crispy Pata from main restaurant for my wife - and served both meals at the SAME time! Compliment to Bryant and Bedz and the others.

Do to the heat the Pools were not very crowded during day. Many kids were at Waterpark and had lots of fun with the Guys in charge.

여름 나라에서 나오는 것이라곤 뜨거운 물 뿐이고 그마저도 쫄쫄쫄
구관인줄 알았으나 사진에서 봤던 방도 아니고, 청결하니도 않았음
물 때문에 방 바꿔달라고 몇번 요구했는데 풀북이라고 거절 . 6층이 모두 똑같다고 하더군요. 숙박시설이 그 정도로 물이 안 나온다면 방을 아예 내주지 않았어야 맞겠죠?
그러다 세번 네번 말하니 방 바꿔줬어요. 거기도 마찬가지로 뜨끈한 물만 질질 나오고 수도 꼭지는 뿌서져있고 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 환불 못받은게 여전히 억울할 지경이에요.
이런 후기 안쓰는 편인데 부모님 모시고 간 여행이라서 더 화가 납니다. 막탄은 모르겠고 씨뷰는 최악입니다. 제발 좋자고 떠난 여행에서 저희처럼 피해보지 않도록 기록해둡니다.

솔레아시뷰리조트 솔직후기

전객실이 씨뷰라 정말 좋았어요 ! 근데 수압이 너무 약해서 ㅜ 애먹었어요ㅠㅠ 새로생긴 솔레아리조트에 루프탑바에가고싶었는데 못가서 아쉽습니다 ㅜ 여기리조트 주변은 갈곳이 너무 없고 어둡고 위험해서 밤에 나가 놀고싶으신분들은 세부시티쪽으로 리조트잡는걸 추천합니다 !

穴場的ホテル

想像していたよりもずっと良かったです。
アリが出るというレビューがあったので、「アリの巣ころり」を買っていきましたが、気になるほどのありは出ませんでした（数匹は出ましたが）。
フロントの方の対応も非常に良かったですし、ウォーターパーク（一人600ペソ）もあり、子供もしっかり楽しめました。
朝食ビュッフェの品数は、今まで行ったどのホテルよりも充実していて、高級感もありましたが、全体的に甘めの味付けだったのが少し残念でした。
夕食は、ビュッフェもありますが、アラカルトで食べたほうが、安くてすごくおいしいです。
ホテルの外には、小さな雑貨屋がある程度で、タクシーでマリバゴ地区まで20分ほどで行けます。
タクシーはフロントで頼めば、メータータクシーを呼んでくれ、ホテルマンが運転手に必ずメーターを使うように指示してくれます。どこに行くにしても、「メータープラス100ペソ」となりますが、安心して使えます。
家族5人で予約をしていたのですが、チェックイン後、13歳の娘の分の料金をもらっていないと言われ、2泊分で4500ペソ請求されたことと、部屋のタオルが臭かったことが残念でした。
チェックイン時2部屋で4000ペソのデポジットがありましたが、レストランの食事代はすべてデポジットで賄えました。
全体的に見れば、コストパフォーマンスはかなり優れたホテルだと感じました。
ほとんどのお客が韓国人で、日本人にとってはすごく穴場的なホテルだと思います。

근처 솔레아 리조트에서 조식을 먹고 수영장도 활용할 수 있고 라운지바 1잔 프리 쿠폰을 제공해 주셔서 리조트에 있는 모든 서비스를 다 이용해보고왔어요 !
근처에 K마트가 있어서 급한 장보기를 할 때는 편하지만 밤에는 좀 무서웠습니다 ㅠㅠ

皆さん書いている通りです。

空港タクシーはベストウエスタンでは通りが悪く、SOLEAの方がずっと理解してもらえます。入口
ゲートからレストラン、プール全て共用で、ベストウエスタン部分は宿泊棟のみと考えたら間違え
ありません。従業員は非常にフレンドリーでよく話しかけられます。宿泊比率は韓国人6割でフィリピンの方が3割、残りが他の国の方といった感じでしょうか。確かにホテルでタクシーを頼むとメーター+100ペソが通り相場のようです。建物は古いが部屋はよく手入れされていて清潔感は有り。
食事は美味しい部類です。充実しているのは子供向けプール。遊具が多く一日遊んでいられます。家族向けお勧めでしょう。

トイレの水が流れず（修理を依頼しましたが直らず）タンクに自分で水を入れて使っていました。とても不便でした。
部屋の机には細かいアリがいて殺虫剤を購入。
とにかく田舎。

Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Pool für Erwachsene zu Flach. Strand schlecht. Da derzeit Umbautätigkeit, Essen im Nachbarhotel mit Abrechnung über Best Western geht in Ordnung.

日本人にはおすすめできません

プールや客室などは綺麗です。ですが日本の感覚で宿泊すると駄目ですね。タオルや水が人数分足りなくてフロントにお願いしても持ってきません。ある程度の諦めが必要ですね。あと宿泊者のほとんどが韓国人です。

Fint och trevligt hotell

Snyggt och trevligt hotell. Mycket fin trädgård med bra sol och bad. Nackdel att det inte finns någon strand. Också lite trist att hotellet inte har någon egen restaurang utan frukost och annan mat får man äta hos grannen Solea. Personalen på Solea är fantastisk och det är dom även på Sandbar förutom i receptionen där dom är ganska nonchalanta. Rent och snyggt överallt. Restaurangpersonalen på Solea är supertrevliga och maten är mycket bra. Finns en trevlig bar på taket på Solea.
Kan absolut rekommendera detta hotell.

손님들 90% 한국인 관광객 리조트안에 들어오면 그냥 한국입니다. 코르도바지역이다보니 나갈때는 밴 을 빌려타고 나가야합니다. 6방을 잡았는데 모두 화장실 물이 약해 잘안내려갑니다,.참고하세요.조식은 평범합니다.

Hotel zum Entspannen

Wir hatten zuerst 6 Nächte gebucht und dann nochmal um drei verlängert. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück wird im angrenzenden Solea Mactan eingenommen. Hier wird alles geboten, was man von einer asiatischen Küche erwartet. Der Kaffee allerdings ist miserabel, aber eben alles Geschmackssache. Dafür waren die nachmittäglichen Cocktails zur Happy Hour umso besser. Wir haben unseren eigenen mitgebracht. Der Pool ist Spitzenklasse. Die gesamte Anlage gepflegt. Das Reinigungspersonal täglich bemüht. Allgemein lässt nur der Standard der Toiletten zu wünschen übrig. Sehr kinderfreundlich. Die Klimaanlage und zusätzlicher Fan angenehm leise. Die Lage ist etwas fernab, aber mit Motorbikes oder Taxi kommt man schnell und günstig überall hin. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen. Wir kommen wieder.
