A quirky, very old building. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice and well-cooked, although it would have been nice to have some cereal and/or fruit juice.

We were in room 4 and it was very hot at night. I wouldn't want to stay there in the height of summer.

The free car park was great but it was difficult to find when we arrived. Some prior information would have been helpful,

We had a wonderful 6 nights at the hotel. The bed was comfy and the room was clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. The pub served nice meals and there is a lovely courtyard to sit in the sun with a drink and or food. A fantastic location for local cafes and sightseeing.
Our only comment was that you need to be able to walk up stairs unaided. The building is an old building with uneven floors and a circular staircase to the bedrooms. Our bathroom although functional and clean was very small making it difficult to get in and out of the shower.

This is a quaint place to stay. Full of history and alleged ghosts but we did not meet any! The staff are fab and we ate our evening meal there which was delicious. The room was fab.

Had a great stay at the Angel and Blue Pig! The room was spotlessly clean and right by the street, which worked well for me. The staff were genuinely welcoming, really friendly and helpful throughout. The breakfast was excellent.

What I loved most was the cozy communal area with a beautiful fireplace. And if you're driving, they've got proper parking on-site, which is always a bonus in these historic towns.

One fascinating thing I discovered through a bit of research using Claude while learning more about Lymington, is that there are historic tunnels running beneath the building! It's these kinds of hidden historical details that really add character to a place and connect you to the town's story in unexpected ways.

Would definitely recommend if you're visiting the area.

First room had bath with no shower head holder and bed under low slanting wall. But mentioned this and moved to another room with a shower. Quaint building and friendly staff but did have to wait along time to get assistance at reception.

Sadly the room let them down. Expedia sold it to us as a Super Delux Bedroom.
It certainly was not!! We understand due for a complete! Upgrade in January 26 and boy, it needed it!!!!!

Excellent stay apart from the useless shower with no water pressure. Very very bouncy floor boards which made one pitch and roll with any walk around the room. Not for anyone with mobility or balance issues. Good parking. Lovely staff.

Great staff! Clean hotel! Lovely big rooms. Just a bit cold! The heaters not as warm in the bedroom compared to the bathroom. Otherwise wonderful place.
Maybe needs some painting and new carpets in the bedroom! But overall was great and would stay there again!

Nice breakfast, Irish server very good. Good range of coffee and tea with kettle in room. Three floors of stairs to climb. As they wound round and had a striped carpet I found this very difficult as I suffer from vertigo. Hard to carry a suitcase such a long way up and down. Shower was of hand held variety, difficult to get hot water and flow poor. Soap holder over bath very dirty. Parking good.

Unpleasant rooms.

Looks lovely in the photos but is in poor condition and dirty in reality. I got one of the rooms in the photos.
Paint peeling, damp, mold, cobwebs, dirty table, dirty carpets with evidence of the last guest left behind.

Bathroom was dirty and shower had so little water flow it was difficult to wash properly.

Fortunately was only staying one night and the bedsheets were acceptable in terms of cleanliness.

Dinner and breakfast fantastic but the smell of drains in the morning makes you gag. Nathan knows this that’s why he asks someone to run the shower and sink before we check in to keep it down. The smell is in

Lovely, lovely staff, approachable, friendly and helpful. Our delux room was beautiful and equipoed adequately. Appeared very popular for dining and drinking with live music on set nights. The only downside was noise from tbe street, traders setting up early Saturday morning and hearing guests above whenever they walked due to squeaky floorboards plus inconsiderate guests allowing doors to slam. This said with parking included, it was reasonably priced and i would stay here again.

I stayed there for one night, and unfortunately, it was a very windy night. We were woken up multiple times—about 4 or 5—because the building made loud creaking and banging noises throughout the night. Even walking on the wooden floor produced loud, unsettling sounds. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and we didn’t really enjoy our stay. The hotel seems to be in need of renovation. I didn't find it a 4 star hotel and didn't really like the cleanness.

Convenient location but noisy

This is a pub hotel on the high street so it was very noisy during the night. There was repair work going on during the night across the road which was quite disturbing.

Location is very convenient for the ferry terminal.

A warm welcome and delightful staff but, unfortunately that's where good bit ends. The hotel is extremely run down and in desperate need of a full renovation. My room was tired and extremely basic. The standard of housekeeping was poor with thick dust in the bathroom, mildew in the shower, a cracked basin and the bedroom wasn't much better with strange oddments of furniture. The room was very noisy from what I would guess is the main boiler which fired at regular intervals throughout the night. Dinner was not good enough. Great location but I won't be returning.

Interesting old building, conveniently situated half way up the High Street, very nice and helpful staff. Unfortunately my single room was badly organised, with no bedside table on which to put a lamp and other things easily reached from the bed (even though there was space for one). There were gaps in the window frames and cracked glass that let the cold air through (fortunately the heater was very effective at wsrming the room). The temperature of the shower was very hot, almost scalding, with no way to lower the temperature as far as I could tell. I could have asked the very nice and helpful staff, but was leaving that morning so didn't have the opportunity

Lovely spacious, clean room with all facilities you’d expect. Super comfy bed. Cosy lighting for atmosphere, but would benefit with additional brighter light source for working or make up. My room was on 3rd floor, up steep stairs - so check you have a lower floor if stairs are a problem for you.

Nice little spot for a short break

Just a night away in the New Forest for my birthday. Lovely little quirky pub. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with decent amenities (tea, coffee, fluffy towels, nice toiletries, decent TV). We had booked to go out for dinner but if we come again we will try the pub menu as it smelled delicious. Only a couple of tiny gripes… one was that hair dryer cable was a little short for a plug point near a mirror in our room, and the other was that someone needs to Sharpie some numbers on the keypad to get into the car park as they were all faded off and it took us a few attempts to get the gate to open. Otherwise we’d happily stay again as the pub and Lymington are lovely.

A lovely stay with a friend. Hotel staff were friendly and attentive. We found our room, the furthest point of the hotel up 3 flights of spiral stairs. It was clean and comfortable however due to a water leak along the corridor, the room smelt damp. Comfy bed and pilllows, had a good nights sleep! We also enjoyed a wonderful meal in the restaurant. Visitors should however be given better directions to the carpark which is around the back. Thanks for a lovely stay

Old hotel/pub so limited with what facilities are available.

Small room in the attic, so the eaves limit where beds, wardrobes, bath, basin, toilet etc goes.

Window didn't close fully, noisy from room next door and corridor outside.

Only a handheld shower attachment.

Expected better for the price paid. Thankful we were only stopping one night!
