Very nice, clean hotel, the bed was comfortable, and the hotel was in an excellent location, close to the train station, close to some good restaurants and cafes, and close to the meeting spots for our tours. The staff was very friendly and gave us a coupon for the restaurant next door where we had a very delicious lunch. We did try the breakfast at the hotel one morning, but it was okay, and I'd recommend going to a cafe for breakfast.

3 stars because:
1. Shower was leaking water badly.
2. Sink was pretty clogged
3. Every time when the AC was starting the electricity was going off for 1-2 seconds.

Finally had a room with working AC! Although electric interruptions occured daily, it wasn't a deal breaker. The room was spacious and fit my needs. The surrounding area is full of food and adventure. This a great place to stay when you are in Sorrento.

The hotel is down the street from the train station, which was very convenient for us. It was also close to everything. Check in process was very smooth as well as the checkout and the staff were pleasant and helpful and answer a lot of questions. I highly recommend this hotel for friends and family.

I really enjoyed the location of Hotel Nice. It was close to the train and bus station and not too far to get down to the water if you don’t mind walking. I enjoyed sitting out in the balcony watching the busy street below.

No luggage assistance when we arrived. The room was on a third floor with no elevator access after the 2nd floor so we had to carry our bags ourselves. The second day the elevator broke and we had to walk up and down.

The A/C could not cool the room properly so the room was not comfortable when it was time to retire.

The jacuzzi bath was not as we expected. The jets were small and did not provide much massage.

I would not return to this property and room.

It’s a Nice clean hotel about a 15 minute walk to the center of town. Close to the train station therefore some areas around the property aren’t as clean as other areas of town but this is NOT the hotel’s problem. The hotel is excellent and a good value. My room even had a balcony.

Very enjoyable. Excellent staff. Immaculately clean.
After an overly long train trip (we were detoured en route doubling the travel time), we really appreciated that the hotel was such an easy walk from the train station. Gennaro checked us in and gave us a great restaurant recommendation for dinner.
We enjoyed breakfast every morning before we started our day. Breakfast room staff was always helpful, warm and friendly.
We very much enjoyed our down time on the terrace as well.

What I love about the hotel is its location. Just steps away from the train station and the bus stop for the SITA buses to Amalfi is just around the corner too. It's walkable to Piazza Tasso and 10 min to Sorrento Port. A hidden gem is the restaurant next to the hotel Osteria new Cortile which serves great paninis and cold cuts.

Hotel is quite new, we had the Lou Lou suite. Size of the room is pretty big. We didnt use the tub but the shower is great. Only issue is that you need to climb a set of stairs to get to the suite located on the 3rd floor. But the hotel is a great find - decent price and the accessabilty is awesome.

Hotel Nice provides great value for the money. It's bright, clean, and in a great area. The continental breakfast was very enjoyable--it's not a heavy breakfast, just pastries, coffee and juice, fruit, yogurt, etc. The staff is terrific! They speak English and know the area. The location was perfect for us too--it's only a block away from the railroad/bus station. This made day trips to Pompeii, Capri and Amalfi very easy. We definitely would stay there again if in Sorrento.

Wonderful hotel with plenty of space and comfortable bed. Great big windows that open up to let air in, but when they are shut it really forêts out the noise. Be close to the train station too. Close to restaurants and shops. Enjoyed it very much!

We enjoyed the rooftop deck as we sat underneath the Stars and enjoyed a bottle of wine to end our night in Sorrento. plenty of places to eat nearby and shopping is very convenient.

This was a nice clean hotel of reasonable size and good amenities. It was 5-7 minutes walk from the direct center of town and it was very quiet. Staff was always there and responsive. Continental breakfast was good but not large. Pillow and bed were very comfortable. Air condition worked perfectly and since my wife and I like it cold, we were very happy.

Overall it didn't blow us away but we would stay there again for sure.

Closed to the train station, SITA bus stop, so it was very noisy day and night. The room was good size, clean, except towels looked gray color. The reception staff was nice. Breakfast was very limited. Overall, it was overpriced for 1 star hotel, the rate was even more than a 4-star hotel in Sorrento.

Location is excellent to enjoy beautiful Sorrento. You can easily walk to the marina, to the shops and restaurants. The staff are very friendly and great at what they do. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We loved sitting on the rooftop patios sipping coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.

The accommodations were nice and the beds were comfortable! The elevator was out of service but the gentleman at the front desk offered to help with luggage. The decor was beautiful and unique! There is a terrace we didn’t get to see but sounded beautiful. Guests on the same floor were incredibly loud/arguing late at night and it seemed to continue for a while, but it was only one evening. The location is PERFECT for the train station, multiple popular restaurants, and it is just a short walk to the beach. It is also next to multiple taxi stops!

The staff was incredibly helpful going above and beyond. we had an early morning tour and they even open the breakfast area 30 minutes early for us for our convenience. and they were very helpful in arranging taxi service back to the train station in Naples. The breakfast buffet was really good. The proximity to the train station was only two minutes so that was very very convenient. I would highly recommend this hotel and definitely would stay there again. The Positano room with Jacuzzi was super nice!!

We stayed in the Amalfi room and it was great. Can’t ask for a better location. Right on the edge of all the shopping and restaurants so it’s quiet at night and easy walk to the fun. Walk to the port was about ten minutes. Staff was friendly and room was clean.

The hotel was located in a great area, right near the train station and at the centre of town close to many restaurants and stores. It was also easy walking distance to the ferry terminal but a lot of stairs to get there. There is an elevator to the second floor only so if you don’t like stairs make sure you are not on the third floor.

Hotel 'NOT NICE'

It's called hotel nice but it should be called hotel 'not nice'.

If you are happy to be woken up in the morning with a extremely loud banging sound coming from the cafe below this is the place for you!

We told reception on our first night and they denied knowing of any noise and didn't offer to move us rooms or anything. Speaking to other guests at breakfast they all said they could hear it and woke them up too, i would not recommend staying here! We even checked out early because we just couldn't deal with the noise any longer.

If you're looking for a relaxing stay in Sorrento I advise not to stay here!

Sorrento is a great place to have a home base while visiting other places like the Amalfi coast and Pompeii, etc. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful. The breakfast is nice. Unfortunately my tiny room was outdated, was facing on the main street (thank God for ear plugs!), and the shower sprayed water in every direction except downwards! The hotel can use some upgrading. But overall I found the people of Sorrento fun and very friendly. It's a beautiful little town. This hotel is a stone's throw from the train station and does have a great outdoor terrace.

We booked & prepaid for 2 nights thru Expedia but after checking in, needed to shorten our stay to 1 night. The day we checked in, we asked front desk if we could cancel 2nd night for a refund & were told it would be \"no problem.\" Just to be sure, I called Expedia that day, & Exp called hotel front desk to independently confirm that it would be ok to cancel 2nd night & get a refund. Exp said the person they spoke to at front desk said he wasn't the mgr and couldn't confirm that I could cancel. When I checked out the following day, I asked the (different) man at the front desk named Alfonso if it was OK if I cancelled the 2nd night. At first he misunderstood me & thought I was asking if there were any vacancies for that night & said \"we are fully booked\" [hotel is conveniently located near Sorrento train station] -- so I don't think there was any problem with hotel finding someone else to take my room. I clarified that I wanted to cancel night #2 & get a refund & Alfonso also said \"no problem.\" After I returned to the US I called Expedia again. They said they still hadn't heard back from hotel but had a record that I had called Expedia the day I checked in, and told me that when Exp. had called the hotel, someone named Julio at front desk changed the dates of my stay in their system but needed to get authorization to process my refund. Later that day Exp said hotel still refused to refund me the 2nd nite, but Exp refunded me! Bravo, Expedia! Moral: get it in writing!!

Hotel was lovely, brilliant location just 2 mins walk from train and bus station. We booked economy room and it was in the 3rd floor, our friends were in 2nd floor and it was so much nicer. There is no pool but we knew this when booking and found it a drawback as weather was so hot. We went down to beach and hired sun beds for €15 for the day. When we arrived at hotel we were disappointed with our room when we saw our friends room, we asked if we could change to 2nd floor, they offered us a room on 2nd floor and told us it would be smaller than the one we had so we decided not to move and it didn’t impact on our holiday at all, staff were extremely courteous friendly helpful and nice. Breakfast was very tasty and a lovely choice available. All in all we had a lovely stay.

I enjoyed staying at Hotel Nice in Sorrento. I really felt at home. This is a small hotel and in a great location - just a short walk from Sorrento Train Station and Sorrento Town Centre (Piazza Tasso). All the staff could not have not have been nicer, helpful or more friendly - from housekeeping to the breakfast staff, but especially, the daytime and night time receiption staff. They were great. Rooms were excellent - clean, comfortable and the bed was perfect. The bathroom was lovely. The only downside was the width of the door entering the spacious shower - it was a bit narrow for me. Other than that, the hotel was excellent and one of the best things about my 4 day trip to Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. Good value for money. Well done to everyone and \"Thank You\" for a great stay.

The room was on the main st and was not soundproofed so got absolutly no sleep for 5nights. Had to shower with shower door open because shower was so small. Literally too small for a small female.

Far exceeded my expectations

The location of this hotel was perfect. Right by the train station (we never heard the train) and close enough to walk to the main square. We had booked and then decided to extend an extra night, the hotel was great about letting us have the same room so we did not have to check out and back in again! The room was large, shower small, but not an issue. Breakfast was tasty each morning and the staff in there very nice and accommodating. We had meats and breads and torts. All in all very yummy and plentiful. There was a beautiful upper floor deck as well with lots of comfortable seating.
Check in/out was easy and the front desk was very helpful daily if we needed tips or recommendations, no matter who was sitting there,we had outstanding service. I highly recommend this hotel, will use them again when we return to Sorrento in the future.

We love staying in this hotel especially thanks to Gennaro who was very pleasant young man and explain things to us. It is doing a lot of renovation in this hotel. Breakfast was plentiful.
The location is excellent right in front of train station and buses. Close to all the shops and is the center of Sorrento.
We will definately stay there again and highly recommend this hotel.

First, let's get one fact out on the table. This isn't the Ritz, it's not a Holiday Inn, and in fact, it's not even a Motel 6. On the hotel's own web site they describe themselves thus, \"Accommodation is ideal for families, students, couples and backpacker travelers looking for an upgrade from hostel accommodation.\"

So with the above in mind, this is a great value. The hotel is 200 feet from the train station and central to shopping and restaurants. The room was clean and WiFi connection excellent. The breakfast offered was okay. Staff are friendly and very helpful. They made change for a large Euro note and directed me to a good laundry.

The only hitch I had was my room location. I had asked for a room away from the street, and what I got was right on the street one floor up. Nevertheless, the windows are pretty well insulated and traffic was light at night, so it proved not to be a problem after all.

I probably would have given them 5 stars if it weren't for the room location and the absence of a towel rack and a simple soap dish in the shower. The only place to put soap and shampoo was on the floor of the shower, and reaching down for it in the small shower stall was not easy

Hotel Nice, Sorrento, Italy

Small, very clean hotel in town centre. No facilities in hotel, ie bar, restaurant etc. but loads if eating places close by. Not much of a view from room but only in it to sleep. Very good price and air con worked well. Would recommend as a good budget hotel.

Central, no frills, near town centre.

Staff very helpful and welcoming. Family run hotel. Very close to train station and bus from
Airport. Ideal for visitors wanting to explore the area. Supermarket close and sandwich type bars. Restaurants within easy walking distance. On main road so traffic noise but my room had shutters which reduced the sound. Not for those who want a pool and to lounge around. It suited me very well. Breakfast was good, self service.
