Wonderful stay, which exceeded our expectations. Our hosts Emyr and Tracey were very welcoming. We found the guest house to be well equipped, very comfortable, and extremely clean with fresh decoration. We loved the feature wall in our room depicting a scene of Sherwood Forest. A real bonus to be in such a quiet and peaceful location. Breakfast was very good, great choice and quality, with hot food being freshly cooked. Fully recommend, we will be returning.

I had the best time here, its so peaceful, stunning views and a very clean, spacious room. But to top it off the couple running it were the nicest people you will ever meet. They know so much about the history of the surpunding area and will give you advice for activities to do if you are ever stuck. I would highly recommend staying here and i will 100% be returning

The rooms are lovely, and always kept spotless throughout your stay. The breakfasts are incredible. They aim to please everyones preferences. Everything is delicious whatever they serve up. I highly reccomend this B and B.

Two night business trip. Friendly greeting by Emyr on arrival with information about the accommodation and local things to see and do. Whole place was clean and tidy with a comfortable room which included a few little extras that were very much a surprise. I'll definitely book again when I'm next in the area.

Lovely location, very close to some countryside walks. Only had an overnight here but managed to take an evening stroll around the Vicar Water country park which is on the properties doorstep.
Hosts very helpful and welcoming.

I came away on a business trip to Mansfield and stayed here for 1 night. What a gem of a find! The hotel was great for its price with a peaceful location, very clean room and incredibly comfy bed. 15/10 for the hospitality with the owners being genuinely lovely people who went above and beyond to help me when I had forgotten something required for my work (thank you again for letting me borrow the sack trolley!!) I will 100% be staying here again when I'm next in this part of the country and it gets my highest recommendation.

A Wonderful Stay

I recently stayed at the hotel for a work trip and had a fantastic experience. The hotel was exceptionally clean and comfortable, making it a perfect home away from home. The owners were incredibly friendly and chatty, always ready to help with anything I needed.

The location is ideal – it's set in a lovely country area with beautiful walks, yet conveniently close to shops and places to eat. The free parking was a great bonus, and I always felt safe during my stay.

The breakfast was top-notch, both in quality and generosity. The owners made sure I had a hearty meal before heading off to work each day. I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a bigger room, which added to the overall positive experience.

After a lovely warm welcome we were shown to a bright spacious comfortable room. I particularly liked the lovely comfy sofa (instead of a spindly chair you have to take turns on like most hotel rooms). There is everything you need in the room, fridge with water, tea/coffee facilities, toiletries etc. The breakfast menu was varied and plentiful. The hosts delightful, we will return.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, the owners made me feel incredibly welcome. They went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, even clearing the snow off my car and offering me coffee while I worked in my room.

The hotel was impeccably clean, and the breakfast was of excellent quality. Additionally, the parking was convenient and free of charge, which was a great bonus. I've never felt so welcomed anywhere, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a warm and hospitable stay.

Absolutely lovely hotel, down a little road to a beautiful hotel, ample parking in a quiet and rural area. Greeted at the door, rooms were large, modern and spotless. Was nice to have a couch to sit on to watch tv or just chat instead of having to sit on the bed. Information booklet was great, had a nice dinner at the dog and duck and breakfast was lovely, personal touches like remembering names and what our plans for the day were made it even more amazing. Beautiful bridlepaths near the property with nice views for some fresh air. Would definitely come again and stay longer if ever in the area. Felt like being back home in Scotland with the rural area !

Great weekend break

My first stay here & I'm looking forward to my 2nd visit,my friends who also stayed love the place.We were met in the car park by Emyr & as soon as we stepped inside i knew i would love bridleways,we had room 9 overlooking the car park on the ground floor & no noise whatsoever,everywhere was spotlessly clean,room & bathroom was just so lovely,tea & coffee facilities were just fab,excellent hairdryer provided,fabulous toiletries in the bathroom to use,breakfast was everything you wanted,breafast room was spotlessly clean too,was sad to leave,location for us was great as friends live nearby & restaurants chosen were not too far away,bridleways is just fabulous & would highly recommend, would stay longer next time & do some walking around the area..

A very warm welcome from the owner who greeted me by name as I entered. I booked the single room which had all you could ask for. A very cleverly designed resently refurbished room. Comfortable bed . Freeview TV. Nice shower. Free eye mask and earplugs and bottle of cold water from the fridge in the room.
