The hotel had newly been refurbished, so our room was brightly fitted out and very clean (and was also spacious).
All the staff were very friendly and wishing to help, which made for a very enjoyable stay overall.

Everything was good. There was a little confusion over breakfast. When I had been checked in I asked, \"What time is breakfast?\" and was given the hours. When I came down next morning I was told I hadn't ordered breakfast. I asked, or rather suggested, that it would have been helpful if I had been asked if I wanted breakfast when I checked in.
A small item that could have been avoided with better training.

Pleasant member of staff greeted us on arrival and checked us in without any issues. Basic room but expected that for the very reasonable price. Bed sheets and linen clean, bed comfotable, bathroom and shower area clean. Windows open to allow fresh air in but did find that the cable restrctors just pulled out of their locking mechanism so need fixing as was on the first floor, and would be easy for a child to open the window and fall.

The room was clean, but tired (tear in curtain, dents in wall, older furniture and beds.
Main issue was that I booked the room (twin) as it said two single beds. I assumed this would mean two beds with a proper mattress on each, however, it was two beds that obviously are normally used together as a double, probably with a proper mattresses. We had what can be described as a thick mattress topper or a very thin, unsprung, roll mat. This was disappointing.
The food was good and the staff friendly and accommodating. The location was good for what we wanted and the parking good (and included).
I just can’t understand why a company would give a ‘kind of’ twin to a customer that specifically wanted a twin, when (I assume) there must be better and more specific twin rooms available; it wasn’t cheap. This aspect of our stay made it slightly disappointing.
Other than this, a good stay… the twin ‘beds’/‘mattresses’ experience, means that I would think twice about using that particular hotel again.

Ibis Chesterfield North - recommended

Great location, easy to find via satnav. Close to M1 motorway junction, so was convenient to get to Sheffield for the event we were attending.
Check in was quick and easy.
Room was big enough and had what we needed. The only thing that seemed a bit odd was there was only two bath towels, no hand towels in the bathroom.

Never again!

The carpet reminded me of a bad Wetherspoons, I wish I’d brought my flip flops. Late into the night, other guests were talking loudly in the corridor. The bathroom tiles were cracked and the shower was scolding hot. The pillows were hard as rocks. Did I enjoy the experience? No. Will I be staying here again? No.

Average hotel. You get what you pay for! Breakfast is sufficient. Windows let cold and noise get in. Sleep is difficult due to traffic and road noises all night.

This is a good place to stay. It is close to the motorway and also a Harvester restaurant next door. We just found it a little noisy when housekeeping had the laundry delivered at 7am.

It was a clean Room with a comfortable bed a walk in hot shower the receptionist changed our room from 1st floor to ground floor when he saw my wife's condition with arthritis so we had a really pleasant stay thank you.

Disappointed!

The room looked a bit tired. Cracked bathroom floor, very slippy floor in shower- no shower mat.

Biggest issue was the noise with arguing residents on the same floor. Very noisy, aggressive and abusive to each other.

Bed was uncomfortable and the duvet was flimsy. Unlikely to stay here again. Gone downhill since we stayed a few months ago.

The Staff were very helpful at all times.
The kitchen had its problems but the staff held its side up well done.

New floor tiles please!

First room, the toilet did not flush efficiently. We were moved without problem, but the second room had no settee, a small tv, and the bathroom floors tiles had lots of cracks in them. Otherwise, the room was clean, tidy and quiet.

Unexpected stay due to snow forecast!

The staff were extremely helpful and wery happy to provide extra coffee tea and sugar. Extra duvet was brought to the room when asked as the room was very cold due to a sharp change in the weather. However we managed to get the room warmed up and didn't need the extra duvet by bed time. Bathroom sink soap dispenser was empty but a replacement was brought up immediately. So excellent room service!!
It was an unexpected stay due to the weather forecast for snow and an early morning check in at the nearby hospital. The result was perfect, thank you.

Nice hotel, handy for the M1

As usual, the staff were helpful and courteous. Room was clean. Despite ongoing renovations at the adjoining pub, there wasn't any undue noise.
Nice to have 4x AC EV chargers in thd car park.
Good location gif Chesterfield of Sheffield and thd Peak District.

Lovely hotel, staff were friendly and helpful.
Room was clean but a little updating needed. Breakfast was amazing! Loved the jam and Nutela in dispenser rather than individual plastic pots. Love the yoghurt in glass jars too. All round a lovely hotel. Would stay again

It would be nice to have rooms with more shelves and places to put things in the bathroom. I realize it's not always practical for one night stays but we were there for 4 nights so a bit more shelving would be nice.
Carol was great on reception so a big thank you to her for her kindness. All the staff were great.😃

I read reviews about this hotel which said it was tired, it was, however it was clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Nice fresh sheets, the bed didn’t have a plush mattress but i found it comfy enough. The shower worked well and i was pleased that there was a grab rail which was also fitted in the correct place. The staff were friendly and helpful. I found it a very convenient location too, easy to find and close to other options for eating . Dobbies garden centre was 3 minutes away so it was nice to look round there as well as have a good breakfast (it had more choice than the Hotel).

If you would actually like to sleep in there I would suggest you bring some ear defenders! Not suitable for family's! It's so noisy there was loads of people slamming doors swapping rooms shouting standing in corridors all hours car alarm going off in car park noise of traffic so hot in there. The beds are rock solid. Hadn't been cleaned at all. Still old Walter bottles under our bed, dust everywhere. Will not be returning

Cheap for a reason. Very tired dirty. Staff were very good though.

Room was dirty and smelt, common areas were the same. Corridors stunk, very musty etc. Had to swap rooms as the window didn’t close, same issue in the new room. Could hear lots of noise from the pub next door for a lot of the night. Please stay somewhere else, really bad hotel.

Great location for onward travel

Good hotel in good location for travel. Next door to a pub and a McDonalds. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Room was clean and spacious with a good shower. It's right near the road but not noisy. We didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on that but we would stay here again.

Stay here when visiting family, basic stuff beds ok rooms ok bathrooms need a facelift but the shower was hot
Didn't have any food this time
The only criticism is smoking and smokers sometimes there's a whiff of stale smoke in the lift
Also some of the rooms need a deep clean as some aren't adhering to the no smoking in rooms .
Maybe the management could carry out the threat of £100 fixed fines

Great Location for the M1

As usual, the reception staff made us both welcome (again). Our room was clean and tidy.
The hotel's location is excellent for access to the M1 at junction 30 (about 1/4 mile away). Therefore, it's easy to get to places to visit.

I would not stay again or recommend.

Justba place for the night but not a place to be comfortable in. Dated, worn room. Didnt want to take my shoes off. Needs to be downgraded to a 7. Heating was ok and managed in the room. Shower was OK. Bed was not appealing and was not flat. Tilted slightly. Didnt try the breakfast but parking is free and Harvester is next door.

We had a brilliant stay this weekend! The staff were fantastic, so helpful, kind and friendly. My husband needed extra covers as he feels the cold, and we were given another duvet. I'm disabled but there wasn't an accessible room free as it was the bank holiday, but staff went out of their way to find me a shower seat and provided a non slip rubber mat so I would be safe in the shower. There were clear warning signs in the bathroom, and notices that non slip mats were available and safety rails fitted. Breakfast was nice with a fair choice of items.
The bar drink choice was a bit limited, and some areas of the building would benefit from a lick of paint, but it was excellent value for money and I would definitely stay again.

We booked an accessible room as my husband has a disability. Even though the room was very nice, it would have been nice to have the usual disabled facilities in the bathroom such as grab bars, raised toilet seat and a wetroom level floor shower. It also didn't have an emeegrncy cord. You had to request a shower mat but it would have been more beneficial to have a slip free shower tray and more grab bars in the shower. Unfortunately my husband was not able to have a shower as he was too nervous. Overall though, an excellent, comfortable stay with good facilities.
