Lovely hotel, with lovely clean, well appointed rooms. We stayed on a Saturday when the football was on next door, but other than the lobby being busier you wouldn’t have known. Lad at reception was friendly and the Hilton chocolate chip cookie was a nice touch. Only thing to consider would be perhaps providing the option for a firmer pillow, but appreciate this is entirely personal preference.

The bar staff and the staff who run the breakfast are also really helpful and nice.

the room are specious ,kleen , looks as if refurbished recently, the only problem we have the central heating wast working and the weather that night was very cold ,but when we called the receptionist was very helpful offered us either the maintenance will come and check it or move use us to another room which we did ,staff are helpful and the breakfast was good , car park was reasonable £15 pounds for 24 hours park

They took a deposit of 50 pounds at the time of check in, which was not stated anywhere on the website, and it still has not been returned. I needed to take full pictures and video before and after to protect my rights. I would never stay in this hotel again. The soap bottle was empty and I had to call them to replace it, which shows no one checked the room properly. I was also bitten by a strange insect in the bathtub. The kettle was extremely dirty and covered with salt deposits. Overall, the stay was far too expensive for the service I received. I have stayed in Hilton hotels many times in different areas, but this one was below zero.

Breakfast was disappointing sausages/bacon overdone and very greasy.
Had planned on ordering a cocktail when we returned from dinner before returning to room but the Barman told us that the equipment was being washed currently so he couldn’t do them he came back with if we wanted to wait until the next person started in 20 mins we could have a cocktail. We just headed back to our room at this point but very disappointed with his level of customer service.

I stayed here for just one night and had a really pleasant experience. Check-in was warm and welcoming, with the lovely surprise of cookies on arrival – a great touch after a long journey. The hotel itself feels very modern and clean throughout, and the room was no exception: stylish, well-kept, and with a very comfortable bed that made for a great night’s sleep.

Breakfast was another highlight, with plenty of good options at the buffet and everything tasting fresh and delicious. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, adding to the overall relaxed atmosphere.

The location is excellent too, with the city centre easily reachable on foot. For a short stay in the city, this hotel ticked all the boxes – I’d happily stay again.

Lovely hotel and fantastic breakfast. The staff who were running breakfast were efficient and friendly.
The front desk staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming- both at night and the morning. Just note that parking is not free and it costs £15 per 24 hours. Would have been nice to know this prior to the trip as may have chosen a different hotel as price was a factor.

Well, lets start with the positive..

The room is a decent size and clean.

The issues with this hotel..

You have to pay for parking!
For a 2 night stay, cost me £30. Also the car park is shared with the football ground.. I can see this being an issue if a match is on.

There is no desk in the room.. there is lots of space for it!

The rooms aircon is terrible.. it was running constantly set at 17, I dont think the room dropped below 25. Lol, it was like 15 degrees outside in the morning but nearly 30 in the room.

We had a problem with our air conditioning, once we alerted the lobby we had a new room within 10 minutes. The staff COULD NOT have been any more friendly and accommodating. This is a nice hotel with large comfortable rooms, but the experience here was thoroughly unenjoyable. A room down the corridor from mine was having a party all night long with thumping h loud dance music. I complained to reception at 1am, then tried again at 1.30 but nobody answered the phone, and I finally managed to get a reply from reception at 3am to complain again. This hotel really needs to deal with anti-social guests in a better way as it is totally unfair to charge for a room and then deny sleep!

On top of this the hotel tried to charge me twice for the stay, but full payment was taken from my bank a week before arrival. I had to show my bank statement to prove it. And £15 for parking is utter theft!

Our stay at the hotel was brilliant quick and easy check in and after driving to Sheffield from Glasgow the cookie on arrival was a lovely touch. The room was spacious and very clean . Bar area was vey airy and staff were very attentive . The star of the show was Victoria who was working at breakfast time . Great location, friendly and attentive staff and the room and food were really nice. The only gripe I have is with the light switches - there's a certain one that has to be on for the others (like the bathroom) one to come on but it wasn't labelled or anything. Every time I needed light it was trial and error of the switches! Please make this clearer.
