The room was horrible the curtains had stains the sofa bed was broken it was moving couldn’t sleep on it, it was that bad I had spoken to someone and she said I will speak to manager but don’t think we can do anything right now so no I would highly recommend not to stay at this hotel it looks nice from the outside but the family rooms are totally run down old dirty they can’t even wash there curtains stains all over it but disgusted to be honest they need to do better these sofa bed needs to be replaced we pay to have a extra sofa bed and then we get things like that broken sofa bed with rips in it disgusting will never be coming back to this hotel, I have spoken with hotel tried to get things sorted as I paid £100 for one night and they refused to give any type of refund or do anything about it absolutely disgusted they quick to take the money but the rooms are horrible be careful when booking this hotel especially family rooms and they are totally old backdated nasty rooms

The location is not very good for the city centre - it's a 10 minute walk but all up a steep hill. The mattress was very firm. Some guests went to breakfast in their pyjamas! When I spoke to the receptionist about it she said they can't specify what guests wear although they did apparently stop one guest from having breakfast barefoot on grounds of health & safety. Not sure if this is a regular occurance but hotels with pools specify no pool wear in eating areas so surely there can be a \"no night wear\" policy!

From the outside the hotel is typical of some of Sheffield's brutal grey architecture, however inside couldn't be more different; a fresh, inviting hotel. From the moment we stepped in, we were met with a warm welcome. The room was spacious and very clean. In the morning the breakfast staff were particularly friendly and happy, as we're cleaning staff we encountered. Breakfast was superb, so much choice and constantly replenished. Ignore the first impressions of the hotel from the outside, I'd highly recommend this venue.

We had a one night stay and it was very good from start to finish, staff were amazingly helpful and very welcoming nothing was no trouble...........the cleanliness of the room was excellent, but I found the bed uncomfortable 😣 it felt a bit lumpy............ Good for the price

Overall, our stay was good. All the staff we had contact with were friendly and helpful. The room was well equipped and clean. Hotel was well situated for walking to places we wanted to go to. Unable to book a car parking place but fortunately we found one on JustPark which was much cheaper anyway.
As we were staying for 2 nights we were happy to use the same towels and hung them up (as requested by the sign in the room) rather than leaving them on the floor to be changed. They were all changed, so not very eco-friendly!
We didn’t enjoy the breakfast very much. The bacon was fairly tasteless. There was no choice of eggs and the scrambled eggs weren’t nice - possibly powdered eggs were used? Bread was cheap. Potato things weren’t very good.
Tea bags were weak and there was no option to have skimmed/semi-skimmed milk. Although there was plenty of other milks for cereal.
It was quite busy when we went for breakfast. Some large tables were being used by single people or couples. It might be helpful if staff could seat people at appropriately sized tables during busy times?
It was really convenient to have the bar to use when we got back late in the evening. Also an adequate food menu - nothing fancy, but that’s all you want really! The staff were lovely.
I’m unsure about the charge, because I was charged £180 for booking but my bill from the hotel when we checked out was only £153.
Overall, I would stay there again.

Banging doors throughout the night from other guests. Then banging doors in the morning from the staff! The breakfast is the worst experience ever, with huge queues, so we went elsewhere and paid. The night before in the Perimier Inn was much better and cheaper.

Overpriced, very basic room, too dark, almost no light, bathroom door not locking, neither staying closed. No sofa or chairs except 1 for a booking of 3. Looked to be a haunted room on 1st floor.
£15 for parking in a tier-4 city of England, where no one wants to live or migrate, a day light robbery, parking entrance/exit is a test of your skills. Not recommended at all.

This is a good hotel made excellent by the friendly, attentive, professional and fun front of house staff. Nothing was to much trouble. In fact hats off to all the staff. They were all incredible.

The rooms are big, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The air-con was icy cold on a hot August day. The bathrooms are modern with a powerful hot shower. Ironing boards and irons in every room. Centrally located. Breakfast was included in the price and plentiful. Hot, cold, fresh waffles, fabulous.

We stopped for 2 nights for my son’s wedding at Kelham Island and these guys made the run up and the following morning so hassle free. There were 4 generations of our family stopping and we all agreed our stay was perfect.

Fantastic Staff
