The room was clean and tidy, we was at the front of the building and the lights outside did light up the room during the night the curtains didn't block out the lights. The bathroom smelt a bit of pee and the bath had a lot of marks in it the shower was good but extractor fan didn't work, it was a bit noisy during the night I could hear the staff and other people turning up and leaving. The lady on the front desk was polite and helpful.

Woken up at 5.30am by fire alarm. A false alarm set off by someone using shower and not shutting bathroom door do steam set off to be alarm.

The fire alarm system really does need updating so that this does not happen.

Problem with room initially allocated. Had not been cleaned properly. Toilet had not been cleaned and flushed. When flushed it proved to be blocked.

Reception lady very helpful, welcoming and cheery. Swapped rooms without fuss.


Poor night's sleep due to traffic noise from M1. Needswindows refitted with better noise proof glazing.

Gutters also need attention. Rain during night overflowed gutters and also noisy as it did so.

The room was clean and fresh on arrival and in perfect order. We had a good night’s sleep with very little noise around. The receptionists were welcoming, polite and efficient. However, a £5 charge for parking was a surprise. If it is in the small print Hotels.com failed to highlight this extra charge which is disappointing.

An overnight stay with my dog.

A comfortable, nice size room. Overall the room was fine the only point of improvement would be the bathroom suite was tired looking and was worn in places.

Nice grassed area outside to get the dog out while we stayed. (not enclosed/secure)

Also never had to pay additional parking when staying at a motorway hotel outside of the London area. Only £5 but an additional cost upon arrival. Although signage did suggest this was included if you booked direct with Days Inn.

£5 charge per car for guests was taking it to far. Staff was not welcoming at all. didn't read number of guests and pretended that they are doing us favor. We had exact number of guests as booked but reception was rude. Wouldn't recommend this for the money we paid. Go few miles away and decent one would be easily found.

Get what you pay for, which is fine with me!

On arrival, requests for sofa bed made up and cot available not completed. Reception grabbed linen for bed and a cot and made these up myself. Receptionist advised later a different room was set up for us but someone else assigned to that room. Slight frustration after a long day, but mistakes happen.

Room fine, pretty clean. Decorating a little poor (eg paint on mirror frame) but not that bothered all in all when using as a bade for a couple of nights.

Quick easy check-in, polite staff. Quick & easy parking, although if booking via Hotels.com or Bookings.com there will be a £5 parking charge per car on arrival which can be made by cash or card at reception, If booked direct via the Wyndham Hotels booking then parking is FREE… think this should be mentioned at time of booking. Motorway services in walking distance next door with different food outlets available. There is a microwave within reception available to use if bringing own food.Enjoyed having kettle within room.

I have already sent this to Days Inn .
The room was extremely tired and worn. There seemed to be, what looked like , a blood stain on the Duvet under the cover. The curtains (on the ground floor next to the entrance) were broken and difficult to close. The woodwn frame arounfd the bathroom door was rotten. Partially missing and still had been painted over. No plug sockets near the beds . One had been blanked over . Stained carpet . I was glad I brought slippers. Just overall. Very disappointing.

Clean, great price but unbearably noisy

Hotel was fine, very good value for money and easy access etc but the noise that comes from people walking around in the room above you sounds like they are walking around your room. Couldn't get a decent sleep at all, no problem with the bed or anything it's just the creaking and cracking coming from the ceiling was horrendous. I don't like leaving negative reviews because as I say it was really inexpensive and clean, but just incase you are a light sleeper, maybe ask for a room on the top floor, whichever that may be

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The customer service was excellent, especially from Katie at the reception, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She always ensured we got the same room each time we returned, just as we requested. The location is perfect, and the price is very reasonable for the quality of service provided. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying here again!

This hotel doesn't have a spa, sauna, bar or restaurant. But for all that it lacks in things like that it makes up for in heart. The rooms are spacious and clean with lots of tea and coffee. The beds are extremely comfortable and every night was a quiet, peaceful rest. But the staff here are the real stars of the show! They are so helpful, and no request is too much. They look after you like you are family. They were so welcoming to our dogs and the area outside is perfect for exercising them. Just a few minutes walk away is the welcome break services and while this is expensive there are lots of food options available to you and they even allow the dogs in the main area. I definitely recommend the chopstix food! Best chinese I've had in a long time. Truly a very enjoyable stay here, we're well rested and felt very looked after. Huge thanks to the hotel manager, whose name I sadly failed to get. I have to mention the amazing Tina, Chris and Katie, those three members of staff in particular made every effort to make us feel welcome and make sure all our needs were met. I look forward to our next stay here! Big thank you, Days Inn!
