Arrived, got told there was a £100 deposit which IS NOT detailed when you book (even Travelodge don’t), no directions to room which found us circling the block, room was very basic and one bed un-sleepable (twin room). As long as you’re happy with VERY basic then this is ideal.

Ideal location close to many things. Room was all you need and clean. Staff were great. Only thing I would knock it on is the bed was passed its best many years ago. Not a good nights sleep to say it was so quet.

We booked 3 double rooms at the last minute (due to some other issues) turned up at 9.30pm to find we had 3 twin rooms, and it was £20 more per room if we wanted a double. On line both rooms are the same price! And a £100 damage deposit required. The rooms were probably what we expected for the price. Old and tired decor but servicable. Positives - tea, coffee and biscuits, bathroom amenities, big & clean towels, toilet paper folded to a point. Negatives - toe nails under bed, dead skin on mattress, pubic hair on pillow, tv remote not working, only 1 plug socket which was difficult to get to, very old furniture with damage, limescaled kettle. In all it did the job we needed, before driving 400 miles home but not somewhere if you are looking for a nice night away.

Was made to pay a security bond of £100 on arrival. In an email that was sent it said this could be paid in cash but on arrival cash was refused and was told we couldn't stay unless this was paid by card. If you broke everything in the room you should still have received change from your £100 very cheap furnishings no view very poor hotel avoid at all cost

Have stayed here a few times under it's previous name/ownership so was a little disappointed to find a considerable price increase this year and not a massive amount done to justify it. Yes the rooms had been decorated and were clean as always but the beds are creaky and mattresses in need of replacing/upgrading. Staff are lovely - helpful and friendly. Restaurant has changed though with a smaller menu available. Husband disappointed that his favourite mixed grill was not included, neither was the offer of a free pint with meals over £10 which we always enjoyed in previous years. Breakfast is reasonably priced and was well cooked - very good kitchen staff.
All in all, this is still a clean and convenient place to stay for a night, but it's no longer the great value for money that it used to be.

Very run down motel style accommodation. Doorways go out to the cat park area which is normal for American motels, but might not be expected for people in the UK. Had someonentry to get in through my window at 4am but on hearing me speak ran off. Police were in site shortly after so guess they tried other rooms too. The bed was meant to be a double but was two singles of differing heights pushed together under a topper which led to a slope.

This is the fourth time of staying here. The Restover is excellent value for money. Beds have been upgraded, rooms are clean, warm and more than adequate for stopover or a couple of days exploring surroundings. Staff are friendly and helpful, chef in restaurant is excellent. Food is always good, reasonably priced and enough choice to suit us, drinks also reasonably priced although some people may find the choice a little limited. Great location for Sheffield, Rotherham and Doncaster too.

The heater doesn't even switch on never mind work in room 24 and I had the same problem last year, which I believe was in the same room.
I can't believe that either nobody has complained about it since then and/or that anything has been done to rectify it, in all that time.

Neds and bath / toilet very clean but the walls were grubby with torn paperin places. A couple of holes where screws had been taken out and left. There were footprint marks pn the radiator as if someone had lain on the floor stamping trainers or noots against it. O wiped one off and left the rest. The bed headboard was scratched and paint scraped off. The grouting in tge bathroom between wall and was dirty and there was no toilet roll holder. If I could have afforded it I would have left but fhat was not possible.

This hotel is in a trading estate and by a motorway but was quiet at night nothing else around locally to walk to and do. Cheap and cheerful but staff really friendly food really good - we were made to feel welcomed- clean and comfortable and would definitely stay again for business purposes fully suited our needs - no complaints at all thanks to them for looking after us. Cheap but you get what you pay for a bed for the night and food and drink at reasonable price.
