We were greeted at 7pm by a wonderful front desk agent who kindly booked us in for a meal. From this point onwards the staff made our stay pleasant. The only disappointment we had was that the pool that was advertised on the website was no longer at the hotel hence the 4stars for amenities.

Stayed for 1 night, fire alarm went off at 3am. Everyone went to the muster point. One member of staff had a really bad attitude and another came outside with a clipboard asking people for their room number. This would work if he had asked everyone instead of asking a couple of people and then missing some out and then asking others. It was an absolute joke. Turned out to be an issue in the control room. Finally got it turned off around 3:30am we all went back to the rooms. Just about managed to fall asleep again and bang the alarm goes off again after 4am. That was enough for me I got up and left. If you want a sleepless night and rude staff then this hotel is right up your street. Definitely not for me.

First time in a holiday inn, great hotel the food was expensive for a plastic and tomato sorry cheese toasted sandwich maybe i would have enjoyed it more had it been toasted !! TV in my room was not working so had to walk a long way down to reception to get help that was done straight away, a lot of talking after i had gone to my bed from where i do not know as my bed was so so comfortable that i put up with it, would definitely stay again

Very nice room except that the mattress was awful and had a big dip in the middle and could feel the springs. Rung reception and managed to change to a room 2 doors down. Not ideal to change rooms at midnight but was unable to change mattress.

Lovely newly refurbished room. Great restaurant, food delicious- service was a bit patchy but didn’t impact on enjoyment. Brilliant for outlet shopping just down the road. Curtains no not cover the window, so woken up by daylight, when the sun starts to rise.
If Premier Inn can use black out curtains, that cover the whole window, surely the Holiday In should be able to.

The room was outstanding. Comfortable bed, fridge, safe, chairs and a clean shower room. The shower could do with a descale, as the water was going in all directions from the waterfall shower head. The main problem with the room was that it was noisy. The fridge was in a cupboard which made the fridge more noisy than it should have been. Everytime the thermostat switched it off or on, it went with a bang! Also we could hear everything the people in the next room were doing ( as in talking,making a cuppa, their tv etc). Such a shame as it really let the room down.

Soap containers were empty. Took 2hours of multi requests for soap. Apparently all rooms have NO AC. Room was 27c. Minimal ability to open the window- so almost no ventilation. Offered a fan... this was of no help. Food poor quality. Rooms on 1st floor still require youb to walk a flight of stairs... Overall, I had I had a very poor experience at this Hiltonn Double Tree. Save your money and stay at the nearby Hilton Garden. I certainly won't be back.

Bustling restaurant for the morning and evening. Food was good, but dinner price might be a bit high (but thats mainly due to the country's rising cost and inflation).

Room was great, modern, comfortable, clean. Questionable shower design that might lead to small puddles outside due to the cubicle is risen and the inner drainage is shallow, plus not much of a screen to contain water bouncing off the inner cubicle to the outer floor. Water pressure could be better.
Rooms with connecting doors should be removed (sealed) or not given to guests who dont know their neighbors. Could literaly hear them showing affection to each other and other times their TV.

Other than that, plenty of car parking space, large compound and you dont hear the motorway either as its just far enough.

I've stayed in this venue a few times for work. Unfortunately this time there was hair in my shower and on the wall when I went to go and use it, but as it was late when I noticed I couldn't be bothered to move my room as I had unpacked and had an early start. If you do have an issue with your room let them know while you're on site regardless of the time, as they won't acknowledge anything if you bring it to their attention after.

All very good , except for the significant lack of availability of dinner on both nights of our stay, due, we were told, to very large event on both nights. We were not told of this until our arrival although it must have been known well in advance.
On the Sunday morning the drinks machines were breaking down and queue for cooked food was very long. The staff were over loaded and unable to resolve coffee machine problem. Chaotic.
