Good room, clean and all the things you normally have. Peaceful area and even though there was a wedding party and a prom, we were unable to gear them. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice and we had the pizzas at dinner in the bar which tasted great(note for hotel- provide scissors or pizza cutter not knives for customers to cut pizza).
Didn't use leisure facilities but will do next time and looked good.
Downside for us was the room doors don't just shut, they bang- the 6am bang of the door near us wasn't really how we wanted to wake up- they need slow catches. Other than that it was a lovely stay and will go back. Good access into Nottingham amd other local sites for visitors.

It was the kind of experience that could have been great, but was let down by details. Staying for multiple nights, the simple act of providing clean mugs for drinks would mean that the place felt welcome. It's the only hotel I've ever stayed in where we had to do our washing up. The reception staff stated that replacing mugs or ensuring that they were clean \"depended on the length of stay\" - suffice to say that, at no point, had we stayed long enough for that to happen. That, and not replenishing coffee/tea/biscuits every day (but doing so on some days, making it feel like it was missed rather than actively not done).

Additionally, two single duvets zipped into one cover is fine, if it did not mean that one part of the duvet was doubled over to fit, so one of us got double-thickness duvet and a very overheated few nights. It may not have been as uncomfortable as it was (the mattress was OK, but had definitely seen better days) if there was aircon, but at least the lack of that was known in advance. Breakfast was good value, though, and the leisure facilities were excellent.

What should have been excellent as a place to stay was marred by unnecessary little things. A shame.

Ridiculously busy set up of an open day full of cadent gas engineers all clogging up the walkways which was quite dangerous with a lot of tripping hazards for us normal guests. Poorly organised and chaos everywhere. All vehicles were just abandoned in the car park, again mainly cadent engineers attend attending the open day. Terrible from start to finish.

Beautiful room, great amenities such as restaurant and bar ( also serves food in the bar area) , pool and hot tub. Including free parking and free full breakfast which was very good. The grounds are well kept with lots of places to relax and enjoy the views. You can also eat and have drinks outside if you want to. Room was cleaned daily with fresh towels.

Really liked the location and quality of the hotel! Loads of green areas around for walks, kids go run around and kick about! The hotel is expansive, very generous rooms and decent food! Not much variety on the menu in the restaurant and including breakfast if you don’t eat pork you have limited options

The only point of improvement would be restaurant service, we waited for over an hour for our dinner and having a toddler and a new born it wasn’t a good experience we saw many tables served before ours and some that came after us got their food first, don’t want to think more of it but wasn’t nice to experience

My stay at the hotel was genuinely warm and welcoming from the moment I arrived. The atmosphere felt comfortable and inviting, making it easy to relax straight away. The staff were exceptional throughout my visit—always friendly, approachable, and more than happy to help with anything I needed, no matter how small. Their attentiveness really made a difference and added a personal touch to the experience.
One of the highlights was the all-you-can-eat breakfast. There was a great variety of options to choose from, all fresh and well-prepared, catering to different tastes. It was a perfect way to start the day and definitely exceeded my expectations. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay, and I would happily return.

We stayed for a night and had a really lovely time there. We enjoyed their spa facilities and the delicious breakfast! The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. Our 17 year old boys had tons of fun in their games room playing table tennis, snooker and giant kerplunk and also played tennis outside. We will definitely be back to visit!

Sadly the friendliness and helpful nature of the staff cannot excuse some of the basic fundamental issues that I have experienced over the last few stays at this hotel. I decided to stay here as I am a keen swimmer and the facilities here are great in that regard. Unfortunately I seem to be unable to get the same quality of room between stays even though I always book the same room type. If it’s not noisy pipes it is television sets that don’t work properly or some other basic requirement that is lacking. It’s a real shame as it has the potential to be a really great hotel but is being mis-managed with not enough emphasis on hotel maintenance.
A special mention should be made to Sanda, Megan and Felicity on the desk who all went out of their way to make up for the hotel’s shortcomings, and I can’t praise them enough.
Hotel management however need to stay behind.

The room was nice and seemed to have been quite recently repainted. I echo some of the other reviews - there needs to be somewhere to hang towels in the bathroom! Desperate need for a towel rail. Bed comfortable. Pool was a nice bonus but restricted times for kids - which can be difficult to explain to young children! Breakfast buffet good but only 1 hot drinks machine working leading to long queues.

Sounds petty but I would rather have known how far the room was from reception prior to arriving, was a right trek and we had a fair bit of luggage too! Would have requested something closer.
The photos look like it’s a small hotel but it’s not.. also take your own toilet roll the ones provided are terrible! Otherwise lovely stay! Thankyou!

Upon initially arriving and getting to our room, we were immediately frustrated to find that there was only one bed to share between three people. It wasn’t even a proper double bed — it was two single beds pushed together, which was uncomfortable and unacceptable for the booking.

Later, we went to get a drink using some spare change we had, only to be told that the hotel is card-only throughout, including the bar. We were unable to use our cash despite it being legal tender, which was not made clear beforehand.

The hotel was also extremely loud throughout the night. Noise from neighbouring rooms, both above and next to us, resulted in a very poor night’s sleep. I raised this with the manager, Sebastian, who was not particularly willing to offer any assistance or solution.

The following morning, breakfast was another disappointment. Luke, the restaurant manager, did try his best, but the overall service was very poor. There was no hot food available, and many guests were complaining. Everyone was simply told that “the chef was trying his best”, which didn’t help the situation.

Overall, this stay fell far below expectations due to poor room setup, noise issues, lack of flexibility, and disappointing service. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again nor recommend it to others.

We stayed with our grown up children for a night to catch up and relax together. The hotel is lovely and spacious and even though they had a Christmas party going on we didn't feel that we had been pushed out. We ate in the bar in the evening and the food was good. There was a minor hiccup with the order but resolved with no fuss.We used the spa facilities which were all clean and working. We had to wait to use the sauna steam and jacuzzi, it was quite busy and there was no restriction on the amount time you can spend in each so some stayed in the sauna for quite a while meaning many were waiting to use it. We still enjoyed our time there nevertheless.

I always say that when I am going for a short visit to meet family & friends over Christmas, I only need a hotel to provide me with a nice clean, comfortable room, a good sleep, a hot shower & a good breakfast to set me up for the day. Eastwood Hall provided all of these in abundance!

Everything from parking up to finding reception, signing in and getting about was spot on. The staff were all friendly, helpful and polite & what else can I say! It went beyond what I expect for my stay so thankyou Eastwood Hall 🙏

Fantastic room. Very clean and comfortable. Great facilities. I have no idea why I haven’t used this facility before, the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Particularly liked the way the bar staff made everyone feel welcome and asked them where they came from and what they had been doing in the day. Very personable and made the hotel seem very friendly.

Unfortunately, due to sheer bad luck, we were located a room next to a group that were screaming, shouting, arguing etc well past midnight. The whole group must’ve used room 165 as a base. This resulted in me going to reception at 23.25 to ask what time guests should be a reasonable time to tone it down. The bar and games room were open so ideally they could have partied there. I had to call reception again at midnight as this was still carrying on but the staff did come and sort this out and handled it well.

Apart from this, this is a fabulous hotel and i wholeheartedly recommend it.

Very pleasant stay for a family!

We had a wonderful stay - from the staff on reception to the leisure club. We used the pool and the games room which kept the kids entertained! Our room was big and spacious, each child had their own single bed, along with the large super king bed! The room was clean and modern with everything we needed, including a few welcome snacks!
We thought the bar and restaurant area were lovely, and enjoyed a cooked breakfast where there was plenty to choose from!
Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

This was a very nice hotel to stay in and very good for dog-owners. They had left us a couple of bowls, a jar of treats and a blanket which was all very nice. The grounds are nice, we saw rabbits and deer. Parking was very easy with plenty of spaces. Room was comfortable and nicely furnished, however the seating in the bar area was not particularly comfortable for someone with a bad back. The only issue we had was with the bar-staff. While they were pleasant enough, when they brought our food out they didn;t ask if we wanted anything with it (ie condiments, sauces and so on). We went up to the bar to ask, had to wait a while before anyone came over to serve and then once we asked for some sauces we were then forgotten! This despite the fact that they were just stood around chattign amongst themselves for 10+ minutes. Eventually, the chap we had asked walked past and said \"I've forgotten your sauce, my bad\" and walked off! Not the end of the world of course, but not great. When coupled with the fact that the prices of drinks were ridiculously expensive I would certainly recommend going for a walk into the town and trying one of the local pubs rather than drinking/eating there. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and would happily stay there again if in the area

Our first impressions were positive—an impressive old hall nestled in the peaceful English countryside near Eastwood. The setting is charming and tranquil.

We chose the prepaid buffet breakfast option for our four-night stay, which we later regretted. I follow a gluten-free diet, so a traditional cooked English breakfast is usually a safe and satisfying choice. Unfortunately, regardless of what time we arrived, the food was consistently overcooked and greasy. The fried eggs were particularly unpleasant—hard, wrinkled, and swimming in oil.

We raised the issue with management, but there was no improvement the following day. As a result, we didn’t bother reporting other concerns, as it seemed pointless to spend more time waiting in reception to speak with someone.

That said, the property isn’t without its merits. The gym is well-equipped, and the pool is suitable for lane swimming. However, the entire place feels vast and stuck in a bygone era. In hindsight, four nights felt far too long.

Rooms are nice, the only thing i can criticise is the difference in price of standard and superior, in superior you get a dressing gown and a few complimentary drinks and snacks,in standard you don't,but the price difference for my stay was around £70 more for superior than standard. I thought the price was a bit extreme just for a few cheap extras
