Only issue was one of the lifts which did not access the ground floor. This made it difficult to get our luggage to the ground upon checkout.

We had a terrible dining experience. Starter ok - We waited one hour for our mains. My salmon served on a bed of rice was so dried out it was inedible. Looked like it had been left under the heat lamp for ages. Crispy and very dry. You could lift the whole dish up in one go - horrible. My partners cod loin wasnt any better and his veg was actually black and burnt. Amazed they actually served it to us. Four of the desert items were off the menu and we were under a time constraint anyway.
Considering we paid for this in advance and no way of getting any refund it was highly disappointing.

Toilet seat was dirty and the shower bath tap was faulty. This was sorted quickly after we mentioned it to reception.
A fire alarm sounded around 0545 on the last day of our stay and carried on going on and off intermittently. We rang reception who initially said it was a false alarm caused by young kids messing about, but a continuous alarm sounded at about 0600 which caused us to evacuate our room. A senior staff member said that an investigation into the event was underway and anyone who wanted breakfast or had to pay for parking would not have to pay as a gesture of goodwill. Unfortunately when I asked about this later at reception I was unable to get a refund as I had paid my bill on arrival! However I did appreciate the gesture.

There was a knocking noise from the ceiling in room 412. It happenened 90% of the time we wete there, so consiquently disturbed our sleep both nights, it sounded like air in pipes. Did not ask to move rooms due to hotel beeing busy and only having smaller rooms available

Fire alarm was activated around 5.30am. The alarm initially only sounded on and off and then the alarm became constant. This triggered an evacuation, which we were left standing outside with very little information.

It’s very tired and smells of damp. At the weekends, even when paying for an upgrade, you are faced with loud music from the nightclub over the road. The air conditioning was broken and locked on a low setting so we were freezing all night. The bed was hard and the executive lounge is like a teachers meeting room. Just not worth the money.

Nice hotel, Staff etc..as before.... but..... We always book similar adjoining/neighbouring rooms where available, if unavailable, a response would have been appreciated. Our messages appear to have been ignored and, on arrival, we found that one of the two booked Premium King Rooms had been changed to a twin on a different floor to accommodate an unrelated corporate group booking. We had received a stock response offering us an upgrade offer to \"Premium\" rooms that we had already booked (?) so on this occasion, the personal service experienced before was sadly lacking as well as getting the feeling of being Guests who can be shoved aside to make way for a more important booking..We won:t be returning, and I do believe that they would not really care about this.

3rd tine staying at this hotel. Really good central location and short walk into the centre of Nottingham. Another advantage is that it has a massive car park on site and a (slightly) discounted rate. Loved the bed so much we almost stayed a 2nd night!

The hotel is in a good location, very close to the Theatre Royal and Concert Hall. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable but took over the room. The bathroom in room 731 smelt damp. Seal to shower screen was suspect allowing water to spill over. Breakfast was good quality and lots of choice.

However, the main reason we booked this hotel is because we have an electric car and we needed to charge it overnight.
There are only 2 chargers at the hotel and neither were working. When I rang the hotel for assistance they were unhelpful, advising me that the chargers had nothing to do with the hotel.
As a result the following day I had to waste time finding a charger and wait for the car to be charged.
However, the main reason we booked this hotel is because we have an electric car and we needed to charge it overnight.

The hotel was lovely unfortunately parts of Nottingham suffered like so many cities with homeless people. Being in a city there is no outdoor space or views to speak of but very nice hotel and staff were good. Parking on site was an asset although at £18 per night a little expensive. Our standard room was adequate and the bed was large and comfortable. Would have preferreed a freestanding shower but they do state whn booking all showers are over the bath. The toilet handle was loose and required regrouting but otherwis the stay was very enjoyable.

I had emailed twice (no response) and called ahead requesting an early check in. I spoke to someone who said I could have one for an additional £30. When we arrived this was not in the system so we had to downgrade the room (I wasn’t charged for the upgrade). Not the end of the world but poor service. When we went to our room I noticed that there was only one set of towels (there were 2 of us). I asked one of the maids working on the floor to put another set in the room but when I came to have a shower in the morning, realised that she hadn’t.
When we checked out we were directed by the receptionist to the lift to the carpark - when we got to it, it was out of service and we had to walk up 6 flights with all our bags. If we’d been warned in advance we could have collected the luggage once we had picked up the car.
None of these things are huge deals but the overall impression of the service and hotel was that staff were a bit slapdash and not committed to good customer service.

We loved everything about the hotel room and staff except for one thing, there is supposed to to a coffee maker in all rooms and we just got a kettle that didn't have a plug socket near by so you had to either plug it in on the floor or on the small bedside table. Its a small issue but having a coffee maker in the room can sway our choice of hotel.

Hotel is dated. Beds are very uncomfortable. Shower is terrible. Bar manager was the worst part Omar he was extremely rude to us all. When ordering food he stopped the order said kitchen was closed but there was still 10min left. Mentioned i stay at a lot of marriott properties and thia would never happen his response was \"then you should stay there\". Front desk staff were very good and bartenders also were great.
