Room were very clean and welcoming. Bed was very comfortable. Nothing was too much for the staff. Everyone was so helpful and polite. Large choice at breakfast and everything was cooked to perfection. The spa facilities were a lovely bonus. We've stayed at a number of Crowne Plaza hotels but I have to say Nottingham is our favorite. The staff are a real credit to the hotel. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

The air conditioning wouldn’t work in the room and was reported twice and not repaired.
A fan was supplied but that just blew the hot air around the room and was very noisy.
I understand that problems occur, but this clearly wasn’t working before we were assigned the room.
Finally no discount or future credit for the discomfort was offered. The staff were polite but didn’t seem inclined to solve the issue.

Really enjoyed the overnight stay. The hotel is well situated in Nottingham. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Dinner was very nice and the hotel has a nice relaxed feel to it. Only issue in my room was some of the surfaces were a bit dusty. Apart from that I would stay again.

Lovely stay. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Really convenient for The Royal Concert Hall for someone with limited mobility. Whole hotel is a little tired, but was clean and facilities were excellent. The bathroom in the room was well proportioned but the toilet was situated under a grab rail which made it virtually inaccessible for a larger person, sitting sideways was the only option. The restaurant was lovely, but was under staffed, there only appeared to be one (lovely, helpful) waiter trying to deal with the whole restaurant.
Breakfast was plentiful and varied, though if you came down towards the end there was less choice.
Have been to other hotels in this chain that were slightly more up to date, this one could perhaps do with a bit of a boost.

Good location. Breakfast was very good. Room was clean and spacious. Lots of seating areas.

Car park was convenient but be warned the spaces are very small and really struggle to fit most cars and have space to open doors. Also the height is low and if you have a car that is low it will hit the bottom on the slopes. £18 per day or cheaper if paid in advance with room (on hotel.com).

This hotel is in a great location in the centre, clean well appointed rooms. A good breakfast and great dining area. The only down side is noise in the rooms, woken several times with late night noise from folk in the corridor.

Great clean and tidy room, well appointed. Breakfast was delicious high quality food. Bar area is very nicely designed and ambient, as is the lobby.

Only issue was one of the lifts which did not access the ground floor. This made it difficult to get our luggage to the ground upon checkout.

We had a terrible dining experience. Starter ok - We waited one hour for our mains. My salmon served on a bed of rice was so dried out it was inedible. Looked like it had been left under the heat lamp for ages. Crispy and very dry. You could lift the whole dish up in one go - horrible. My partners cod loin wasnt any better and his veg was actually black and burnt. Amazed they actually served it to us. Four of the desert items were off the menu and we were under a time constraint anyway.
Considering we paid for this in advance and no way of getting any refund it was highly disappointing.

Only negative side at breakfast no waiting staff to serve tea and coffee .
The machine alternative is a poor substitute with many guests struggling to operate the drinks vending machine .

Toilet seat was dirty and the shower bath tap was faulty. This was sorted quickly after we mentioned it to reception.
A fire alarm sounded around 0545 on the last day of our stay and carried on going on and off intermittently. We rang reception who initially said it was a false alarm caused by young kids messing about, but a continuous alarm sounded at about 0600 which caused us to evacuate our room. A senior staff member said that an investigation into the event was underway and anyone who wanted breakfast or had to pay for parking would not have to pay as a gesture of goodwill. Unfortunately when I asked about this later at reception I was unable to get a refund as I had paid my bill on arrival! However I did appreciate the gesture.
My wife and I stay here when we visit relatives as it is very clean and convenient with a great breakfast and attached car park which is a bonus in the city centre.

There was a knocking noise from the ceiling in room 412. It happenened 90% of the time we wete there, so consiquently disturbed our sleep both nights, it sounded like air in pipes. Did not ask to move rooms due to hotel beeing busy and only having smaller rooms available

It’s very tired and smells of damp. At the weekends, even when paying for an upgrade, you are faced with loud music from the nightclub over the road. The air conditioning was broken and locked on a low setting so we were freezing all night. The bed was hard and the executive lounge is like a teachers meeting room. Just not worth the money.

Hotel room itself was nice with good facilities but it was not ready with cleaner still in when we arrived. Reception was ridiculously undermanned (only one person)on our check out & delayed our departure.

Nice hotel, Staff etc..as before.... but..... We always book similar adjoining/neighbouring rooms where available, if unavailable, a response would have been appreciated. Our messages appear to have been ignored and, on arrival, we found that one of the two booked Premium King Rooms had been changed to a twin on a different floor to accommodate an unrelated corporate group booking. We had received a stock response offering us an upgrade offer to \"Premium\" rooms that we had already booked (?) so on this occasion, the personal service experienced before was sadly lacking as well as getting the feeling of being Guests who can be shoved aside to make way for a more important booking..We won:t be returning, and I do believe that they would not really care about this.

The hotel is in a good location, very close to the Theatre Royal and Concert Hall. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable but took over the room. The bathroom in room 731 smelt damp. Seal to shower screen was suspect allowing water to spill over. Breakfast was good quality and lots of choice.

Lack of car chargers

Lovely hotel, food and location.

However, the main reason we booked this hotel is because we have an electric car and we needed to charge it overnight.
There are only 2 chargers at the hotel and neither were working. When I rang the hotel for assistance they were unhelpful, advising me that the chargers had nothing to do with the hotel.

As a result the following day I had to waste time finding a charger and wait for the car to be charged.

Room clean with tea & coffee provided.
Only issue was that they put us in an “assisted” room which was more suitable for elderly people. It had a support bar for getting on & off the toilet & support rail the bath / shower.
This actually made it extremely difficult to sit on the toilet in a comfortable manner & not knock your arm on the support bar.

We had a drink in the bar. Staff were great but again the toilet facilities let it down. Cubicles extremely small and very difficult to get in & out of. I am only a small person & I struggled. I genuinely do not know how larger people would be able to get into the toilet cubicles to use the toilet.

Overall pleasant stay but would request a different room next time, as did not request an assisted/ disabled access room.

The hotel was lovely unfortunately parts of Nottingham suffered like so many cities with homeless people. Being in a city there is no outdoor space or views to speak of but very nice hotel and staff were good. Parking on site was an asset although at £18 per night a little expensive. Our standard room was adequate and the bed was large and comfortable. Would have preferreed a freestanding shower but they do state whn booking all showers are over the bath. The toilet handle was loose and required regrouting but otherwis the stay was very enjoyable.

Basic, bland and poor service.

I had emailed twice (no response) and called ahead requesting an early check in. I spoke to someone who said I could have one for an additional £30. When we arrived this was not in the system so we had to downgrade the room (I wasn’t charged for the upgrade). Not the end of the world but poor service. When we went to our room I noticed that there was only one set of towels (there were 2 of us). I asked one of the maids working on the floor to put another set in the room but when I came to have a shower in the morning, realised that she hadn’t.
When we checked out we were directed by the receptionist to the lift to the carpark - when we got to it, it was out of service and we had to walk up 6 flights with all our bags. If we’d been warned in advance we could have collected the luggage once we had picked up the car.
None of these things are huge deals but the overall impression of the service and hotel was that staff were a bit slapdash and not committed to good customer service.
The bed was comfortable and the receptionist who checked us in was friendly.
