My family and I had a very good 1 night stay at this hotel. The reception manager was very friendly and helpful and this excellent customer service continued to the bar service and to breakfast the next morning.

Didn't actually eat in the restaurant but did have a couple of pints both nights, with some chips, and a choccy brownie with icecream the 2 night. Both delicious.

Very clean, spacious room and bathroom with walk-in shower. Friendly staff. Only downside is the drinks availability in the bar - no Draft Guinness even though there's two pumps! But they had Guinness zero? Only Draft lager is Grolsch and Peroni. We have stayed here many times over the years, as it's a convenient place to stay, we are both from the area and have family and friends nearby, but might have to consider staying somewhere else in future.

Whilst the hotel is clean and modern, our room was only a few steps away from the noisy bar with an open door between the room corridor and the bar. The air conditioning unit started making strange noises every hour, for 20 minutes at a time, from 4 in the morning. When we complained about it in the morning we were told that there was nothing to be done and we should have complained in the middle of the night, when we clearly were in no mood to walk around the hotel at that time of night.

We had an executive room which was very nice. Breakfast was good.
Negatives: there was a function going on in the hall and the music was so loud I couldn't hear the TV The fire alarm kept going off every 5 minutes for about 2 hours with false alarms which made it difficult to relax

Excellent two days, hotel was very modern and attractive. Easy to park, quiet and handy location. The highlight was the team, every person we spoke to / interacted with were polite, friendly and genuinely helpful. Honestly we had such an amazing time. The staff downstairs were absolutely incredible; special mention to Liam for arranging the football match screening 😊
My only wish for the next visit; is for the room heating to be fixed quicker, our room was really cold and we had to call and even come down in person several times to finally get someone upstairs. I also wished someone had responded to my message on the app. Nonetheless, my family and I had a great time and we will be definitely revisiting ☺️

We stayed for a night to attend a family funeral so were unfamiliar with the area. The hotel was excellent. Modern, clean, food was excellent, great service and the rooms and facilities top notch. We really appreciated the black out curtains too. We only want to stay in Holiday Inns going forward, they can’t be beat!

Decent sized room, great bathroom, very clean. I would recommend asking for a room away from the lifts or above the kitchen. We were in room 117 opposite the lifts. They ping every time someone comes or goes and people are coming and going till 2 am. Also being above the kitchen, you have constant extractor fan noise.

I booked the hotel because it had parking, and was surprised to find you had to pay on arrival. I probably missed the very small print saying this. It was £10 overnight.

We ate in the restaurant as we arrived late, basic burgers/pasta/pizza. We all had burgers which were very well done, bordering on the burnt side.

Would I stay here again? Yes, I probably would, but I would probably also look for a hotel slightly further out that has free parking. Would I eat in the restaurant again? Probably not.

Overall an okay stay, nothing special but nothing to put me off coming back again if the price was right.

Hotel in a great location for where we were going, lovely room very clean and comfy bed.

The staff at the hotel were very good at front of house. I had sent a request regarding the room location and they did exactly as asked for. Nice touch.
Always greeted as passing by desk or bar areas.
Breakfast take for 3 days and always good and well refreshed, keeping things fresh and available. Did ask for a tray to take food back to our room for my wife, rapidly made available and a nice personal message made on the tray cover! Very nice touch.
Used hotel for a family gathering, shall be back next year. Thanks to all the staff and that includes the excellent room staff too!
