The view from the property was amazing. Lots of activities to do but most come at an additional charge which is added to your bill at the end of the week. Self catering accommodation was clean and spacious but dated. Self catering really is totally self catering...you need to provide all cleaning materials e.g. sponge, tea towel, washing up liquid. 1 loo roll provided at start of week but that's it. Shuttle bus is a welcomed bonus and we used it nearly every day especially for getting supplies from the shop in Garda. Site shop has limited opening hours and stocks only the very basics. The lake and area is stunning which is why we enjoyed the holiday so much. Communication was difficult for English speaking guests and a lack of a welcome pack meant we had to keep asking at reception about the basics. We were self catering but booked in at the restaurant for one meal after the receptionist told us it was 14 euro per head for adults and 8 euros per child. We were misinformed and the meal ended up being nearly 90 euros for 2 adults and a child plus drinks on top. The meal was lovely but we felt rushed through with little break between courses. We used the spa during family hour which my daughter loved although it was obviously very full of families so if you want a relaxing spa experience pay extra and go on your own when it's adults only. Gym was a bonus and one of the few things you can use for no additional charge. The yoga man was helpful but not pushy which was good.4 out 5.

Everything clean and friendly staff in the main. Kids liked the entertainment and sports facilities for older kids. Apartment didn't really have a patio/balcony to speak of, more a corridor which was a bit annoying given most other apartments seemed to have a better patio area. No inflatables allowed in the pool.

Resort and amenities looked amazing - we however arrived late and only stay one night. Looked great for the whole family - recommend that you stay at least 3-4 days. Local flavor is spectacular.

Stayed in apartment it had excellent facilities. Within and around the hotel facitilities are great. Note it is a aporox 30 minute walk to the town but the hotel run a shuttle bus. There are excellent restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

Good location for Family Holiday with own transpor

We love Lake Garda and this accommodation did not disappoint - offered what we needed for family holiday with 14 / 11 and 9 yr old - They loved the pool and the Astro turf and played football with other children most evenings. The Apartments have character - old buildings with pleasant terrace/ patio area overlooking Lake in the distance. Compared with other accommodation we have stayed in - both Campsites and Apartments around the Lake Garda area - this location had the least friendly staff. The receptionist for the Apartments was most definitely not impressed with her role and offered little Customer Service or a friendly welcome. The Apartment kitchen had adequate facilities, the Bathroom and bedrooms clean and comfortable - Garda - fabulous and we used the shuttle bus service too which was handy for an evening trip to Garda.

Apartments quite basic

Stated fully equipped kitchen but we found it far from what we are used to for an equipped kitchen on holiday. No oven, hob and microwave only. Very few utensils making basic cooking difficult. The facilities on site and daily programmes run are good for entertainment. Found the prices at the bars reasonable. Reception staff not particularly friendly but rest of staff were. Plenty of sun beds all day and it was mid August.

Magnificent view of the lake.

Our apartment was spacious and located up the hill overlooking the lake. Beautifil view anytime of the day.

Services could be improved by providing washing up liquid for dishes, extra loo roll and cork screw. Wine glasses would also be nice.

Reception could be a little more flexible, we were told apartment check out starts at 8am, not handy when you have a flight to catch. We got attended to eventually, after someone from another department had time.

But the view.... amazing.

The resort is fantastic for young families with the Olympic sized swimming pool and tennis courts. Entertainment was excellent but you will need a car. The resort is 2km uphill from the lovely town of Garda but it is very very busy in August. The service was excellent and all round a fab 2 weeks.

Lovely location with nice views. Clean apartments. We have two young children and it only has a shower. A bathtube would have been better. Tried to book hotel restaurant for 3 nights but fully booked all nights. A nice variety of activities for children. The hotel outdoor pool is massive but was bit cold to use it when we were there. The hotel indoor pool was only for adults so it was ashame we couldn't take the children for couple hours. You have to pay for wifi daily. Overall though it was v good.

Great holiday of activities/sports/sightseeing

As a family of 4 (with kids aged 12 and 15), this was a great choice as we used 4 days at the hotel (using the pool, tennis, football, volleyball, water polo, table tennis) plus 5 days sight seeing (walk to Bardolino, swim in the lake), day trip to Venice, visit to Gardaland theme park, and Caneva World water park.
Shuttlebuses to town negate the distance from town and mean you can eat in Garda as needed.
We stayed in an appt. so were happy to buy our own food from supermarket near Garda bus Station. Initially thought we needed a car but got on fine without one.

Our appt was basic, clean, with fantastic view of the lake, overlooking olive, lemon and fig trees.

Tennis was 10 euro/ hr plus 12 euro to hire the only 2 rackets they have

Lots of space, great amenities that were readily available

Just be patient and remember you are on holiday

Stayed here previously (year before). This year there were no air-con rooms left, it was 37*c for a few days, so I recommend the air-con room option if you can get it.
We changed rooms as I wasn't happy with the first - view wasn't the best (block 'F') as i was staying for 10 days. Moved to block 'D' great view and balcony. Block 'C' = same view, with air-con from what i can work out. Blocks A, B, C & D are at he top of the resort (it's on a hill).
Resort is quiet, secure, welcoming, well laid out, clean and has good parking if you're taking your car.
Free shuttle bus into Garda which takes 5 mins.
Pool and pool area are excellent with a few pool activities throughout the day to give a you a rest from lying down.

Lake Garda can be expensive to get to - Poiano apartments are the alternative.

They are basic, but you don't go to this region of Italy to watch TV. It's comfy enough, with acceptable facilities and a nice base for your trip.

Great value for money stay out of season, not sure it would be suitable for couples in high season but great for families with children! Bit of a distance from town centre but does have a decent free shuttle bus. Could do with extending the hours of this I think.

A nice spot in a great location.

Very nice location. There are a lot of steps to get to some of the apartments and it's on a hill so not really for people whole don't like too much effort. Everything closes at midnight - the bar etc., and there is a free shuttle to Garda in the morning and afternoon.

Great location with spectacular views

We (my husband and 2 year old son) had a great stay at the Poiano apartments. The rooms were clean, the location stunning, and the facilities (pool, playground etc) and services (free shuttle bus to Garda town, and golf buggy around the resort) were excellent. One thing to note is the additional cost of the bed linen, towels and cot use. The resort is quite hilly, and was a bit of a workout with the pram, but worth it for the stunning views overlooking the lake.
There are several restaurants a short walk from the resort and an endless supply of bars and restaurants available in Garda town, which is about 5 minutes away by shuttle bus, or approx. a 30 minute walk.

well laid out hotel complex in beautiful setting

we had booked a one-bed self-catering apartment and were upgraded to a 2-bed bungalow in its own gardens. The accommodation was well equipped but we were unaware that bedding and towels were not included and there would be no cleaning service. We had to pay 16 euros each for linen which had to last all week as a fresh set would require paying again. We also had to provide our own toilet rolls.
However the resort and the pool were lovely and there were plenty of sunbeds whatever time you went to the pool. The resort was located a good 40 min walk from Garda but there were free minibuses into the town at certain times. Sometimes there were too many guests so we had to wait for it to return. A car would be useful but was not essential and we were able to travel the area on buses and boats.
The hotel shop had very little in it but there were several wellstocked supermarkets in Garda and plenty of restaurants.
The resort was a good base for exploring Lake Garda, particularly for families with children or those with a car.

Staff very welcoming and friendly. Web site pictures are true. Resort has breath taking views but they must watch out for tree's that are growing fast and may take out some views in the future from peoples apartments. Apartment was clean and a good size. Patio could do with a little attention but chairs and table were fine. You need to be good on your legs are there are lots of steps but there is a golf cart and staff member who will move you and your luggage around. Mini Bus is good. Wonderful pool and very good pool bar not expensive.

Beautiful Location, great service

Myself and mum enjoyed a very pleasant stay, staff were friendly, we arrived earlier than the checkin time of being 3pm and they allowed us to get into our room, being 7 months pregnant we had a buggy ride to the front door of our apartment and Fabio assisted in getting our bags to the self catering apartment. The apartment was spacioud enough for two people, I would suggest them upgrading TV's and allowing access to other channels including english, however who needs a TV when you have a nice spacious private balcony to enjoy the views of the lake and a nicely prepared salad made from your very own kitchen.

Nice place to stay for a week...

We had a good week at Poiano Resort. Our apartment was self-catering and contained a small kitchenette - it was absolutely fine for what we needed and had asked for. The resort is well kept and although we didn't have too much interaction with the staff (due to being self-catering), they were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the onsite restaurant which was not good value for money. I'm not sure if they were just having a bad day but the food was not to standard and we were not made to feel at all welcome, despite having booked ahead. Overall, a nice place to stay.

What a Dump !!!

Stayed in the apartments: what a dump. First apartment looked like it had been furnished by the Romans, with old and tatty furniture, beds and curtains. After complaining, we were moved to a newer block, which was slightly better, but nowhere near good enough for the price charged. Basic kitchen with no oven or microwave, and small fridge. Hotel provide bedding, but don't make up the beds for arrival.

Spa facilities included steam room which I wanted to use, but were €12 per person per day.

Complete rip off. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Skønt resort med dejlig beliggenhed. Meget ren og pæn lejlighed og suveræne udendørs faciliteter.
Lejligheden var utrolig sparsomt udstyret. Meget lidt køkkenudstyr - ingen vinglas eller proptrækker (i Italien :)) og prisen for leje af padelbane er absurd dyr.

Weitläufiges Resort, großer Pool, toller Ausblick

Das Poiano Resort liegt oberhalb von Garda und bietet teilweise einen traumhaften Blick auf den See.
Der Fußweg zum See ist auf Grund der Entfernung und des ansteigenden Geländes sehr mühsam und nicht für Jeden machbar. Auch die Wege innerhalb des Resorts sind weit.
Das Resort bietet einen Shuttle Service (9-Sitzer Bus) zum See an, (9.30 - 12.30 und 16.30- 21.00). Der Bus fährt permanent hoch und runter (Ausstieg Busbahnhof in Garda).
Es gibt einen tollen, rießigen Pool mit vielen Liegen und Sonnenschirmen. Schade, Poolauflagen fehlen und die Plastikliegen sind etwas unbequem.
Ein Poolhandtücher gibt es pro Person und Aufenthalt - Handtuchwechsel wird mit 2,50 € berechnet.
Wir hatten zu viert ein Apartment für 4-6 Personen (2 sep. Schlafzimmer - 1 Doppelbett, zwei getrennte Betten) Küchenzeile und Wohnzimmer mit Couch und Esstisch mit Stühlen. Auf der Terrasse gab es einen kleinen runden Tisch mit 4 Stühlen (leider auch ohne Sitzpolster).
Bedauerlich fanden wir die Tatsache, dass wir den Wein mangels fehlender Weingläser aus dem Sprudelglas trinken mussten.
Für die Mahlzeiten (Frühstück/Abendessen) muss man sich ein Timeslot buchen. Frühstück 1 stündig 7.30/8.30 oder 9.30 Uhr. Dies kann individuell täglich geändert werden.
Die Frühstücksauswahl ist für italienische Verhältnisse sehr gut, aber immer gleich d.h. jeden Tag der gleiche Käse, die gleich Wurst, die gleichen süßen Teilchen etc..
Kaffee vom Automat. Frisch geschnittenes Obst (Melone und Ananas) und zus. Obst.

Vi havde et dejligt ophold på Poiano Resort. Fin rummelig lejlighed, dog lidt mangelfuld i køkkenafdelingen. Lækker stor pool, men poolområdet blev ikke rengjort ordentligt. Fint resort men lidt i den dyre ende i forhold til hvad du får.

Fint och rent hotell. Fin utsikt över Gardasjön dock ligger hotellet ca tio minuter med bil från själva centrum. Härligt stor pool. God och varierad frukostbuffé. Parkering på gatan utanför lägenheten. Flertal aktiviteter erbjuds ex vattenpolo, bågskytte, tennis, fotboll, golf etc. Ca en timme med bil till Verona och Sirmione. Kör man norrut längst sjön ses otroligt fina vyer också! Rekommenderas!

Grand complex hotelier avec une centaine d'appartements. La communication et les procédures pour le check-in, le check-out, et pour le petit déjeuner étaient laborieux. Gros manque de communication entre les équipes. Personnel peu aimable. Il n'y avait ni gel douche ni shampoing dans l'appartement. Il y a apparement des créneaux pour prendre le petit déjeuner et ils ont voulu faire payer le petit déjeuner à notre enfant de 3 ans.

Schöne Anlage -Gute Lage- Mittelmäßige Appartments

Schöne Gesamtanlage, die noch weiter ausgebaut wird (Golf, Fussballfeld). Schöner Blick von den oberen Zimmern. Gutes Sport-Angebot (Tennis, Fussball, Beachvolleyball, Tischtennis, Fitness).

Das Appartment war zwar grundsätzlich sauber, aber Wohnraum ist sehr eng mit wenig Komfort (keine Wanne, kein Geschirrspüler, keine Kaffeemaschine, keine Küchenutensilien wie Geschirrtuch, Schwamm oder Badutensilien (außer 3 kleine Seifen). Unser Appartment war etwas weit weg von Rezeption und den Sportangeboten.

Abends an manchen Tagen (nicht ersichtlich wann) sehr nette Live Musik. Pool ist schön groß aber leider nicht beheizt. D.h. selbst mit Neo im Herbst nicht zu benutzen - für den Sommer sicher toll.
Einige Rezeptionsmitarbeiter waren sehr nett, einige wirkten genervt, z.B. bei dem Hinweis dass die Heizung nicht funktioniert - wobei das sehr schnell behoben wurde. Restaurant-/Bar personal sehr nett.

Garda - eine wunderschöne und sehr entspannte Stadt war in nur 5Min mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants in der Nähe. Von Garda her kommt man gut in viele andere schöne Städte wie Bardolino, Lazise, Pescheira, Riva del Garda oder mit der Fähre nach Sirmione oder Salo, Limone..

Insgesamt würde ich das Hotel weiterempfehlen, wenn man keine hohen Ansprüche an das Appartment hat.

Die Lage ist gut, leider derzeit wegen Landschaftsarbeiten tagsüber zeitweilig echt laut durch schwere Baumaschinen!
Die Apartments in unserer Reihe sind leider sehr dunkel und düster! (man hatte den Eindruck wer über Expedia bucht kriegt die alten und dunklen Wohnungen denn es waren einige auf der Sonnenseite frei und während unseres Aufenthalts unbewohnt). Im Bad gibt es 2 lange Glasablagen (juhuuuu) was für mich als Kosmetikjunkie wirklich wichtig ist.
Die Liegen am Pool sind ausreichend vorhanden aber könnten mal eine Reinigung mit Dampfstrahler vertragen und eine Auflage wäre schön gewesen gibt es aber nicht.
Die Damen am Check-In sind gerade mal korrekt aber nicht freundlich…. Beim Check-Out wird man in den Minimarkt nach nebenan geschickt und zahlt seine Unterkunft zwischen Brötchen und Eiern! Ich fand das sehr seltsam. Sowas dient nicht gerade der Kundenzufriedenheit.
Zusammengefasst: schöne Anlage mit grossem Pool und schönem Garten, gute Lage, aber man hat den Eindruck wie im Flugzeug es gibt Economy und Businessclass.

Fint rent anlegg.

Alt fint! 2ting: Det burde være en parkeringsplass til hver leilighet. Når du kommer sent, må du muligens på leiting etter parkeringsplass. Og rengjøring/skifte av handduker/sengeklær burde være automatisk, men vi måtte ringe til resepsjonen for å få det byttet.

Godt sted for familier.

Gode velindrettede lejligheder med aircondition.
Dejlig stor swimmingpool. Mulighed for at spille tennis og andre boldspil.
Manglede mulighed for indkøb af frisk morgenbrød på stedet.
Dårlige parkeringsforhold - alt for mange biler ift. antal p-pladser.
