To celebrate my sister’s achievements, I wanted to treat her with a hotel accommodation and a special meal. She wanted a Hokkaido buffet at a buffet restaurant called Bridge at this hotel. The assistant manager, Mr. Yamada went above and beyond along with the staff to ensure we had a special table by the window at our desired time regardless of super-booked reservations. My sister was delighted and made her a special memory that would stay forever. The hotel staff know how to provide surprise and delight to customers.

I needed a break and decided to treat myself. This hotel is a go-to place and my stay was perfect. The hotel was hosting a trick-or-treat Halloween event collaboratively with Hiroshima TV station and I saw happy kids with parents. Perfect hotel in such a friendly atmosphere.

I recently stayed at this hotel for a getaway trip with my sister, and it was an exceptional experience. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay special with personalized touches. From the warm welcome greetings at check-in to the freshly-squeezed orange juice served by the Assistant Manager, Mr. Yamada of BRIDGES, during breakfast, every detail was thoughtfully handled.

We stayed on the Club Floor, which included access to the Club Lounge, adding an extra layer of comfort to our visit. The attentiveness of the staff was truly impressive—they genuinely care about making every guest's stay memorable and pay close attention to customer preferences, especially for special occasions.

I highly recommend this hotel for its outstanding service and dedication to creating a remarkable experience for its guests.

Consistently deliver excellent services

I had a busy week and wanted to just relax to recharge myself. The staff understood my needs and made my stay extremely comfortable by bringing a room key enabled for an additional day to stay in the same room and listening to my needs. It was “in the moment” decision and I did not want to be bothered by going to the reception area to change the key. I highly recommend this hotel after you had an intensive business trip or a family gathering, and you want to just have your “me” time.

We were family of 3. My bed was right next to the open living setup, where sink station was right next my bed, so I couldn't sleep well, every time anyone woke up. The room setup didn't feel like family friendly. May be for a solo business traveler even though the cost was not low.

not much to do near the hotel. we therefore rely on the hotel restaurants. for some reasons all restaurants were always fully booked for all 3 meals. but when going to the restaurants., it was always empty. we were really disappointed since we paid a lot of money for this hotel. it was our last 2 days in japan and we wanted to spend it away from the crowd and all the action. very disappointing . lots of staff and polite but not useful .

Perfect location in Hiroshima

Perfect location right in Hiroshima Station. Accessible to all public transport. Rooms are big. Buffet breakfast offers a wide variety of Western and Japanese breakfast. The Lounge offers a great meal and snacks with wine etc for happy hour.

Over priced, overly crowded , old and outdated

There is no security between the floors in this hotel. So you can use the lift to go to any floor without a room key card. This also works for people off the street so make sure not to leave valuables in your room as the door is open when they clean.

The layout of the room means the bathroom and toilet open directly into the sleeping area and the hand basin is in the open facing your bed. Our room smelled strongly of bleach because of the shower and it was was not pleasant. The carpet was dirty in our room and could use a stream clean.

The club lounge is very small, with very few options so don't waste your money getting the upgrade. The breakfast queue was very long and if you go after 7.30 am expect to be waiting for the plethora of tour groups to take their time.

The location is awesome if you want to be next to the train station. It is 1.5 to 2.5 miles away from all the major attractions. The buffet breakfast was absolutely amazing, it was great to get up have a great breakfast and then head out to explore everyday. The bath tub in the room was awesome to take a hot bath at the end of the day. There are no views of the city or anything except train tracks and the drop off for the train. If you love amazing views this place doesn’t have them. Other hotels will have views of parks and water. The train station has lot of restaurants, shopping and even a great little grocery store all within a few minute walk of this hotel.

Great location for a break on Hiroshima - as so near to Shinkansen station - with bus and trams all finishing there. Took train to Miyakoma island and retirement via tram. Also lots of good value and quality restaurants recently opened in a big station development. We had a great city view as also room are 8th floor or more. Went to top bar for a drink but was empty and felt soulless. Timing was probably the issue - no one there - didn’t eat in hotel but picked up
Some quality cakes from coffee shop !

Hotel staff were terrific. Helped us with train information. Very clean. Breakfast was plentiful - fresh juices, coffee, eggs made to order. It was very cold one night and while we wanted to explore, we didn’t want to go outside. We ate sushi at the restaurant and it was wonderful!

Breakfast is good, including both western and Japanese styles.

Many choice of restaurants near the hotel, rental car place is also the next door; the king size room is the Western king size bed, very rare for stay in Japan.

I spend a lot of time in Hiroshima and have stayed at many hotels in the city but this was my first stay at the Sherton because it is often the most expensive of all the hotel choices. I often wondered if it was a good value for the cost. There were many nice elements but at te same time there were many awkward moments. The Sherton obviously caters to a very International clientele. For this reason, I was surprised that the check in process was awkward. For example, instead of asking if we would like to arrange a late check out, the receptionist asked when we would like to leave as if there is an option to leave as late as you would like. It was my birthday and the receptionist presented a small bouquet of flowers to my husband and wished him a happy birthday. We rserved a room on an Executive Floor with Lounge access. The room was large by Japanese standards and had a King size bed. The room was clean. There is a Nespresso coffee machine and a small fridge/mini bar that only contained two cans od Pepsi and two cans of Pepsi Zero. Although I read many reviews regarding the small size of the Club lounge and the limited offerings, I decided to wait and see for myself rather than trust other reviewer's opinions. In this case, I should have trust the other reviewers. It is the smallest lounge in any hotel I have ever stayed at. The offerings were very limited during what they were calling \"Tea Time\" and \"Happy Hour\" So is the Marriot a good value for the money, probably not.

One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in.
We were on the last leg of our 12 day Japan tour and stayed here for two of those nights.

Beautiful spacious room with a gorgeous view of the city. Also a large soaking tub really helped everyone relax after so much walking.

This hotel is located right outside the doors of Hiroshima station so it couldn't be any more convenient.
The staff was super friendly as well.

There was a nice food court area right outside of the hotel in Hiroshima station that we really enjoyed.
My son and I spoke hardly any Japanese but we had no trouble at all getting around and the staff was very accommodating.
We loved our stay and I can't wait to come back.

The staff was extremely friendly and we were even able to get into the room 1.5 hours earlier - which allowed us to get immediately started on our sightseeing!

The room was the most spacious room from all hotels we had and it was clean and luxurious with an awesome view!

The Club was really nice and had a great atmosphere for taking a break and getting something to eat and drink in the evening and morning. My wife liked the coffee!

On top of everything - the Hotel is just beside the trainstation with great Shinkansen connections - only a few steps to go. As such, there were plenty of good food places around in very short walking distance.

Last but not least - Hiroshima has three bus lines which can be used to easily get around to visit all the cultural and historic places. When we were there, it was really hot and humid and as such this was really convenient!

The staff were nice, the hotel clean, and right there at Hiroshima Station. The hotel food was ridiculously priced by any standard (especially breakfast), and the “open concept” bathroom
is going to be a deal breaker for a lot of people that might be sharing a room and might not want audience when they shower or use the toilet (glass doors that transition from mostly frosted to transparent; ladies, everyone in the room will see your breasts). There’s no place to change privately unless you fit in the armoire.

Our favorite hotel whenever we visit Hiroshima. Short walk from the Shinkansen gate to the hotel’s 2F entrance — all on the same level and all covered from rain, etc. Easy access to the town (streetcar) and surrounding towns (Shinkansen or JR Lines). Staff are very courteous and helpful. Good breakfast buffet. Rooms are spacious and clean. Only one item for improvement — the king size bed in our room was starting to show its age. Still, always happy to have a king size bed in Japan:)

Modern open concept washroom was why I gave this hotel 4 stars is the toilet and shower area were not private enough. My daughter could hear me use the toilet while brushing her teeth. You need to be very comfortable with your roommates 😁.

The hotel is connected to Shinkansen gate at Hiroshima Station and the Station Mall. There are many restaurants and souvenirs and food shops within the building. The room was quiet except that you might hear a subtle train sound at night when it is quiet. The sink space and bathroom are roomy, clean and well-designed. The bedding was a bit heavy but this is probably because of eco-friendly cotton filling? Overall, it is very convenient for both business and sightseeing.

This hotel is connected to the train station with a covered walkway. Very convenient if it is raining heavily. Breakfast buffet was nice. Easy to eat at the train station, too.

One drawback is the room was not really family friendly. The unlockable and almost see through bathroom doors although pretty were not very functional.
