One of the nicest APAs I've stayed at, so let's compress the review of the room/hotel/area and mostly complain about the thing that's on my mind: The room-cleaning. **The positives. *Everything felt super-clean. *The vent blowing in outdoor air was a nice touch. *A block of 9 vending machines near the hotel! It was nice. **Neutral. *The roll of toilet paper was re-triangled each cleaning day, which feels TOTALLY UNNECESSARY to me. **Negatives. *Why are you trying to force me to take two jackets in little boy's sizes, and hang them in my room? On the first cleaning day, you HUNG THEM BACK UP in my room. WHY😂 They spent the remainder of my stay in an APA bag, hanging in front of my room. *Could you stop 'putting stuff back?' I create the room layout that I like, and I'd much prefer it stay that way until I check out. A hotel room is a person's sanctuary for the duration of their stay; having things moved around feels like a violation of that sanctuary. eg. the shower amenities; the box of facial tissue; the origami crane. *The room's thermostat was nearly useless. I'd turn it down to 16 and it would STILL make the room uncomfortably warm (24-ish?) when it came on. I wound up turning it from 'standby' to 'on' when I wanted to warm up the room, then turning it back off. Annoying. *Is \"salting\" an icy sidewalk not a thing in Japan? I slipped and fell, and my bum is still sore.😑

Location was good, not overly loud location, but there did not seem to be effective elevators nor laundry services for the size of this hotel. There are only 7 washer/dryer combo units for a building with 14 floors! The walls are also thin and you can hear every knock from your neighbors. I don't think our room was vacuumed before we checked in.

No “in room” air conditioning. Massive waits for the elevator. Waits for everything. Too many rooms and people. Not enough space. It does have an onsen, but it’s so busy. We were on top floor, corner unit. It was the smallest hotel room I’ve been in Japan. This hotel is close to the station. And that’s the only perk I noticed. I don’t often leave negative reviews, if you want to stay here to save a few bucks. Try one night. But I’d find a hotel with less sheer number of rooms.

Basic rooms are 11m2 which is just a bit too small for a couple with bags for several weeks travel. Personally I was a little claustrophobic. It’s manageable but not great, our view was of a wall.
But these APA hotels do have onsens and are well located and well cleaned and staffed.

Staff was incredible. They accommodated my mom's gluten free needs even though we did not provide that info before we arrived. They worked very hard to modify each dish and was about to give my mom the experience of wonderful traditional Japanese food without the gluten. They were so friendly and helpful. This is a nice smaller town with lovely canals and I would stay at this hotel again.

This is a business style Japanese hotel. It usually has a lot of amenities including a restaurant, convience store, and public bath. The room itself is a little small but it has all that you need. Theres also a laundry room in the hotel. The hotel is roughly 5 minutes walking from hiroshima station, and around 25 minutes walking from Hiroshima castle. It's in a central location.

We were able to check our bags early as we had gotten to the hotel before checkin. When we went to check in they had us check in through a computer system. There was someone there walking you through how to do it (so I dont see why they couldnt just check us in themselves). We got to the room and it was a decent size. Beds were comfortable and it was a nice over night stay.

Property is in a superb position close to metro station and so easy to navigate to any part of Tokyo from this station. Staff are polite, friendly and accommodating. Hotel is clean, well kept and provides an excellent service. Room size a bit on the small side but not a complaint. Would definitely recommend.

This APA hotel follows the same format as the other ones I have stayed in. The room is the same suze and layout os identical. The staff were all excellent. The breakfast space was big and it even had a omelette station. Location us great too. The place loses a star because the small room size is balanced by the fact there is room under the bed for storage of luggage, how ever in thus room the bed did not have the space, so the small room was cramped because nowhere to store luggage. The other hotels had a usb charging point, tjis room didn't. Lots of sockets, but I only had 1 chargi g adaptor, which I assume is the same for most people. Having the usb meant i could charge 2 things, here I couldn't.

This hotel is just a stone's throw away from Hiroshima Central Station. I have stayed at the hotel twice. We got a room on the top floor.

The room is clean, and the bed is comfortable, but it is tiny and very tight for two people. The room was very hot and stuff and the air conditioning did not work very well. The only option was to open the window a crack, which keeps the temperature bearable.

The onsen is great. The breakfast is also very good, with both western and Japanese options.


I would recommend the hotel, but make sure you get a bigger room and check the air conditioning is working properly.

Couldn’t have been better for what I needed. Close to the station to drop off bags and then 30 minute walk through the city to get to the Peace Memorial Park was perfect after the Shinkansen from Tokyo.
All the staff were great and very helpful, I will definitely book here again when visiting Hiroshima.

Hotel is right across the river from the station in Hiroshima so that was convenient. The peace museum was probably about a five or six block cab ride so that was cool. Nice chill mellow APA as always!

Very close to the Hiroshima train station. It would be even more accessible if it wasn’t the construction thats going on at the station. I had to go through the undergrounds to get across the river.

Would be nice to include a humidifier especially in the dry days. The heating wasn’t that comfy. It’s either to stuffy or too cold turning it off.

I have used APA hotel before when traveling to other parts of Japan and always liked my stay. But I didn't enjoy my stay at this property as much. This property has poor cleaning and was kind of a deal breaker. I could see dust on the floor all over the room since day 1 (how can they not see that while vacuum cleaning?). There were some stains on the black sheet that they put out on the bed as well. I guess that's something we have to deal with for the cheaper price range they offer.

Pros - location, service

Tips - don’t do by the number of reviews or rating read it.

Room sizes are awfully small, the bed can be accessed only from one size this should give you the idea that the room is just big enough that a double can fix in.
Maybe try twin bed, it will have more space but be mindful about double one.


Centralized AC - it’s centralized so if the hotel staff believes it’s winter they turn it on to heating mode and you cannot do anything about it.
It’s actually suffocating given the temperature is high, small room size.
We survived using air purifier/humidifier.

Location is good and it’s fully booked but it depends on personal preferences. So please check reviews before it’s too late like us!

The cleanliness in the room needs to be improved. I didn't like that they claim to have daily housekeeping but they only provide the amenities outside the room, unless you requested the room to be made up. The room was cleaned and sheets changed by the fourth day. The onsen is nice but there is no cold pool and is vey crowded with many people. Good that they have washing machines with dryers.

The maid service doesn't invade every day. Only every three days. I like that. The rooms are so small, I have to turn sideways to get into the bathroom. The desk chair is impractical because the desk is so close to the bed, there is no room for the chair. No closets. No dresser. Only six hangars on two wall pegs. Tiny! But, it is in the heart of the busy city. If you don't need to spend much time in the room, the price is right for this hotel.
