We would definitely come back to Orvieto next time we’re in Italy, and hotel corso will be one of our first picks. Rooms are recently renovated, high quality, and the location is perfect - close enough to the restaurants but also to the funicular so you don’t have to drag your luggage too far. Breakfast was great as well.

We stayed at this proprty near the end of our Italian tour around Tuscany as we headed to Rome. It was a WONDERFUL hotel, right in the heart of the action, close to all the tourist \"must see\" sites and VERY walkable. Such amazing restaurants close by and the front desk was very helpful with questions. The bed was VERY comfortable and the lovely patio on the 2nd floor was used to sip a glass of wine or two. I would highly recommend hotel.

Hotel Corso is cute and quaint in an ideal location, but unfortunately the hotel has some flaws that made our stay uncomfortable. The bed felt like we were sleeping on box springs. The AC unit did not work and you can’t open the windows because there was an army of mosquitos waiting to come in outside our window. We also had trouble closing our door and keeping it locked which was a bit of a hassle trying to slam our door shut multiple times. The walls are also very thin and I could hear other guests phone volume, so I could imagine our door slamming must’ve been a disturbance to others too. The rooms were clean though and the staff were nice and made us fresh cappuccinos in the morning.

We stayed at Hotel Corso for 3 nights. The first night we were put in room 23 which faces the outdoor area. It was full of loud students using it as a social hub - till after 11.00 pm. Someone from the hotel eventually came up and told them to leave, but ruined our sleep. In the morning we asked to be moved, which happened without any problems. We slept well the next two nights. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was great and the location was fantastic. Good value to stay nearly the historic centre.

A Slice of Ancient Orvieto
Taking in Orvieto after a 12-day cruise was a sort of detox before returning home. The town turned out to be a total delight, with a surprisingly grand cathedral, wonderful wines and a chance to explore the Etruscan culture. The hotel was charming and convenient for our non-guided walking tours. Staff at Hotel Corso does not really speak English, but they are very willing to help make arrangements. We never found good food in Orvieto, but perhaps the locals are keeping it for themselves. Loved the 2nd floor patio for unhosted Happy Hour!

Great older hotel. Very nice staff, breakfast and room. It is an older hotel but well maintained. Location is about mid-way between the fumiculare and the duomo so walking from the train with luggage was not a big problem.

Orvieto is a wonderful small, town, highly recommend a visit! Love the streets, church, caves, shopping, wine, cheese....ALL! The hotel reception gentleman was EXCELLENT! Ran to check on our room when we arrived and then quickly checked us in. The room was nice, a bit on the small size. The shower was EXTREMELY SMALL and so was the TV. Although breakfast was included in room rate, we did not have a coffee pot in our room. We like a cup of coffee first thing. When I went down to the breakfast area, the gal did not know what I wanted. However, when the nice man was on duty, things were perfect! Also, the air conditioning control was handled by the hotel, so we couldn't adjust to our liking.....but for the money, location, cleanliness.....all good!

Orvieto is a nice little town with a big cathedral-shaped attraction, in hindsight I'd have rather visited on a day-trip but it IS worth visiting. Hotel Corso is about 5 mins walk from the funicular and it's about another 5 mins to the Cathedral on a quiet, gently sloping road. The place was very pleasant with a nice breakfast spread just perhaps a little pricey compared to similar hotels in other cities.

This was a pleasant hotel with a friendly staff. The only problem was that the temperature was in the low 90's F., and the air conditioning in our room was not quite up to the task. We would probably stay there again at a time when the weather was cooler.

The hotel corso was a cute place to stay, and the breakfast was great! My only complaints would be that the bed was too firm, and the air conditioning wasn't very cold.

Nice Hotel In Charming Orvieto.
We are Rick Steves fans and appreciate his hotel recommendations. Hotel Corso met our needs but could use a freshen up. Upgraded bed linens would be my first suggestion. Breakfast was minimal however cappuccinos were ample. The location is great...a little farther down the hill from the Duomo but an easy walk. Well priced. We appreciate the upgrade to a Triple room providing ample room for our belongings.

Good place to stay. Breakfast as adequate as expected from a 3 star no hot food. Everything was satisfactory to god, except the beds. They were really old and worn out (as if like sleeping in a boat).

Drove to Orvieto. Parked in nearby car park less than 10 mins away between hotel and Duomo (there is a closer one but we entered the city from the Duomo end).
Breakfast was fairly simple with good cappuccino and cereals, fruit salad, rolls, croissants, cakes, cheese and meats.
Had superb lunch at Restaurante Maurizio 1 minute from Duomo.

Just like a fairy tale
Great location in the town, cute rooms, great breakfast, wonderful staff. Public balcony on third floor with view of town with tables. We spent 9 days in Italy and this was favorite hotel.

Although tmost of the staff spoke little english, they were wonderful. The breakfast was a delicious array of varied choices w/ great service. My favorite was the small terrace just next to our room. Overall very pleased w/ everything!

Pleasant and Convenient
The location is on the main street but not in the busiest area so it was very convenient. We could walk everywhere, even to the funicular. The hotel is small but charming. Clean and comfortable. The smallest shower I have ever been in. LOL The owners are always on hand.

Great choice in Orvieto!
There are not too many hotel choices right in the center of Orvieto but this is a really great option! It is right on a main street and no other hotels around so you can easily access everything in the small town. They have a huge breakfast selection and a nice lady there making coffee, espressos, etc. They even have parking available in an underground garage super close. The rooms were smaller but had everything you need! They decorated them so cute with slippers and flower petals. The doors are really thin so we could hear a lot but in the morning that also meant we could smell the fresh baked goods. The rooms were very clean and the staff was adorable and friendly. Great location so we would for sure stay again!

This hotel is starting to be rundown & threadbare.
The hotel is perfect located - three minutes walk from the top of the fenicular (which takes two minutes). It is family run, staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast is quite good. The only thing is that there are starting to be signs of things 'not working' and the sheets, although clean, are a bit threadbare. ADVICE to hotel: Get rid of all the dusty artificial flowers - they add nothing and get dusty.

Great location
The hotel is in a great location, on the main walking thoroughfare through Orvieto, but far enough away from the center to be quiet. The room unfortunately was very smoky, which the front desk said they had little control over (the prior guests were Italian). The room was clean, aside from a dirty towel left behind when we arrived. The breakfast was adequate and included an espresso. The front desk was very helpful with directions and advice for where to park- you have to find free parking, which is limited, and it doesn't come with the hotel. Overall very nice and a good deal.

The hotel was a short, pleasant three block walk from the delightful funicular ride. The room was comfortable, clean, quiet, and right in the center of all we came to visit. The staff was very accommodating and kept our bags so we could tour past our check out time. I would definitely recommend it.

Hotel Corso, a warm retreat in a most interesting Hilltown
This hotel was not too far from train station if your luggage is light (and you are walking.) But, it did seem quite a distance from Duomo and other attractions a lot farther up the main via. Still, the service was always excellent and cheerful, especially the man who was at the desk in morning, then again later in afternoon and evening. English not a problem. Some beautiful marble stairs, or very modern elevator, allowed easy access to the room. My room was very quaint, and quite roomy. There were marble steps from the bath up into the room proper, and, tho beautiful, that might prove a problem for some persons. I approached them with caution always. The breakfast was delicious, and your choice of coffee was served immediately. I would definitely go back!
