Super clean and super friendly staff!!

Amazing town between Rome and Florence. This Hotel was super clean and had a very comfortable bed. They served a very good breakfast and the staff were very friendly!! I would definitely go back to this hotel!!

Cheap stay near Orvieto.

Quick overnight in Orvieto. Very inexpensive with parking and breakfast. Room was adequate. AC didn’t really work. Just a few minutes drive to parking by Duomo. Not bad for the money.

Pristine walk up with concerns on either side

The entrance to the hotel is very nice but the empty building to the right and RV's to the left take away from what could be a beautiful entrance. The Orvieto experience is beautiful and the hotel offered warmth and shelter for our sightseeing. The room was nice but very cramped. Orvieto is a town I recommend on everyone's wish list and I feel is won't disappoint.

A pleasant stopover.

This was an overnight stop heading South. The hotel was perfectly acceptable and comfortable. We did not eat in the hotel and neither did we venture into the vicinity.

The personnel working this hotel were super. Any need was quickly met, any recommendation sought for meals or sightseeing were very helpful. Breakfast was good. Large rooms. Only problem was no outlet available in the bathroom for electric razor, etc.

Perfect for Us (Minus Wi-Fi)

Excellent Room, larger than most European rooms. Clean, fresh, and just a happy type room. Large bathroom, very small shower. Free parking always appreciated. Dog friendly, we Love. Breakfast was normal European style - every morning woke up to the smell of baked, hot croissants – who doesn’t Love that. We had dinner one night. (I do not know if they normally have dinner? The outside sign said there was a restaurant, but did not see a menu anywhere.) There was a tour staying at the hotel, and when we asked about dinner they said no problem but it was a set menu – we would be having what the tour was having. We had no problem with that. We lucked out because they ran out of chicken so my husband and I got steak. The dinner was nothing to rave about, but it was very good and appreciated after a long day of sightseeing.

The Wi-Fi would have been a huge issue if we didn’t have our phones. There was no Wi-Fi connection our entire stay. We could not use our laptop. No, we did not let the front desk know because we expected the same answer you always get.

All in all, perfect for our short stay to visit Civita di Bagnoregio, Monster Park, and Villa Lante. Thank You so much!

First site not always right

First site when you come to gate is what looks like a bombed out hotel, but as you drive up the long rough drive you come to a nice looking hotel. We stayed three nights, staff nice, nice breakfast, have to drive aways for dinner as they have no restrauant as advertised. I would stay here again, staff very helpful.

A very nice hotel with friendly staff.

I arrived at this hotel,not knowing that it's a bit outside of Orvieto, and at first, thought that could be a problem. But it turned out that the room was simply great. Very spacious and full of light. Very nicely and comfortably furnished. Almost luxurious. There were three balconies to the room and a very large and beautifu bathroom, with everything you need in it. There was a very nice and big terrace in front of the hotel, with nice outdoor chairs and tables, where it was a great pleasure to sit in the evening and afternoon, enjoy reading, a drink and admiring the view. Breakfast, included in the price, was very nice. And above all, the staff of the hotel were extremely nice and helpful, as to information and room service and even a ride to the train station. I'd be glad to return!

Great place to stay in Orvieto.

Stayed here only 1 night but regret not staying longer as the value was outstanding, large comfortable rooms with great facilities, warm and friendly staff (sadly with little English but helpful and courteous. The location requires a car or younger legs as it is 1 mile to Orvieto old town and the only good restaurants in the area (prob. within 10 miles or so our GPS said and some locals we asked) We found Orvieto very nice but with pricey restaurants and rather unfriendly locals. Believe the locals see tourists as a nuisance rather than the boon to the local economy they undoubtably are.

in a lovely setting with sweeping entrance lined with trees. Just at the base to Orvieto, we were up in orvieto on a 10 minutes motorbike trip. No food in the hotel but we were happy to eat from the range available in orvieto.

Location is perfect. Hotel is very nice and clean. The only problem was with the AC. It is \"controlled\" from the front desk. Make sure the receptionist turn it on. She forgot to do it for us and it was around 90F in the morning. Otherwise it was perfect.

Convenient plays to stay near Orvieto

Convenient plays to stay near Orvieto. The hotel is a little outside the town ( about 35-40 min walking distance ) . There is not so much to do nearby. Just for the night during your trip. But the staff is very helpful, room is nice size, clean. Breakfast is quite good. In Orvieto try to visit the Trattoria La Mezza Luna ( Via Ripa Serancia 3 ). We had there EXCELLENT food : Carbonara - outstanding !, Tortellini alla Panna - super ,etc + desert - all of it for reasonable price. One of the best restaurants on our trip to Italy.

The rooms are large, clean and comfortable, and there was a lovely view of the old town of Orvieto from our balcony. But the walls are thin: you can clearly hear normal conversation in the next room. When we were there, two coachloads of Japanese/Korean tourists arrived, whose conversations were conducted at a level higher than I would call normal. Breakfast was a joke. There was no coffee. When I found someone to ask for some, she managed to look both pained and faintly disgusted. She went away without a word, and eventually returned with two tall glasses of lukewarm milky coffee. Ridiculous. Many of the staff looked like they hated their lives, and couldn't crack a smile even if they won the lottery. Maybe it was a bad day, maybe it was the coach parties. It didn't feel like a holiday.

The room was comfortable enough but there was nothing on their website explaining that the restaurant doesn't open for groups of less than 20 people. We therefore had to trek 2km up a 1 in 5 hill each day for dinner. No breakfast available day two.

A nice visit

It would be difficult to have a better hotel experience than ours May 23, 2014. Having been in several hill towns we knew we dodn't want to drive into Orvieto, so we chose this one based on the free parking and proximity to the escalator to get into town. But the receptionist Yvonna was interested in the client and was eager to cover all our wants. She opened the chapel and spoke of the history of the hotel and its name. She arranged an early breakfast to allow us plenty of time to make our flight from Rome. She was knowledgeable about the surrounding tourist sites in Umbria and Tuscany. The accomodations were perfect.

This is a strange location, difficult to find and very sparsely populated. It took asking three times to get directions which got us to the hotel and then there was nearly no one there. Kind of eerie but quiet and adequate.

Very enjoyable, but without a GPS, very difficult to find, so got there late. Staff didn't mind and were friendly and cooperative throughout. Narrow choices at breakfast, but all you wanted, and never rushed, if you got there before styop time. Extended my stay, because so peaceful and restful.

Good place

Good economical place to stay somewhat away from the city center. We arrived by car and parking was very easy and free. However, we needed to drive to one of the garages and take the lifts to the city center rather than walk. Actually no big deal and cheap to use parking/lift up into town. Machines take cash, no worries about chip cards. The hotel was clean and the room huge by italian standards in this price category. Clean, no frills but good. Stay here I recommend.

Modern Hotel on Outskirts of History

We stayed in a comfortable, clean 4 person \"room\" that was well laid out for two parents and two adult kids. One room had two twin beds and was separated by a door from the other room with a double bed. Thee was adequate room for all of us and much more than other quads we stayed in on this trip.The hotel itself is modern and I imagine the grounds would be nice in the summer. You must have a car to enjoy your stay as the train station, restaurants and access to old Orvieto are more than a brisk walk away. I would stay in this hotel again although there are more charming hotels on top of the hill in the old section of Orvieto itself.

Room for a family of four

Booked a single room for my husband and two teenage children. Sometime in Europe that means wall to wall beds, but this hotel had rooms large enough for all us and still have room to walk around. You will need a car to get there - not walking distance to Orvieto. Breakfast was basic but met our needs. GREAT VALUE!

Very Upsetting Experience

There was a small refrigerator in the room, and I travel with medicine which must be kept cold, and taken with milk. Every day, the maid would take my medicine and my milk out of the refrigerator and put it on the table. I asked another guest who was bilingual to write a note in Italian explaining to the maid that the medicine must be kept in the refrigerator, but she kept doing it. We spoke to the man at the front desk, he just shrugged his shoulders and said he has no control over what the maids do. We bought some duct tape and taped the refrigerator door shut with a note asking her again to please leave the medicine in the refrigerator. Every single day, for 5 days, she took it out. The air conditioners are controlled by the front desk, you have to go downstairs and ask them to turn it on. They turn it off when you leave. So the rooms are like a sweat box. My medicine was destroyed by all this, and we simply could not understand why they kept doing it and why management wouldn't tell the maid to stop. The maids have no right to go through the drawers, dressers, or refrigerators, etc when a paying guest had their personal belongings in them. It was a horrible feeling to know our stuff was being examined while we were out sightseeing.

Hotel near Orviedo

The hotel provides a simple and nice breakfast which consisted of boiled eggs, ham, cheese, various pastries, and fruits and of course a good cappuccino. It is very economical to eat in the local restaurants and the hotel is very close to the town of Orviedo which is located on top of a hill. I had a car and GPS so it was very easy to find the hotel. People in the hotel were very friendly and helpful in providing information about places to eat and visit in the area. I will definitely stay in this hotel if I am in the area.

We loved the hotel, although not being familiar with area it took a while to find it. The manager was great, (he seemed to be there 24 hrs a day,I forget his name but he was extremely helpful in recommending a restaurant,(hotel rest was closed) breakfast was great , internet serv great,we were able to have some wine and relax outside.
Our first time using Hotels.com and we will do it again.

Try Hotel Oasi Dei Discepoli

You never know what you are really going to get when you try a hotel for the first time so we were hoping for the best. Hotel Oasi was off the beaten path but doable with a GPS. It is in a town south of Florence called Orvieto which is a city built on a large cliff.
Staff was nothing to write home about but the room was clean and large for an Italian hotel room and close to the city. We would recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.

fine iff you have a car

it's an easy drive to Orveito but I would not walk around the area as it looks a little grotty. The room was comfortable but the air con in R .324 was a little noisy at times. Breakfast was passable but the pastries and cakes were not fresh...at least there were juices, yoghurt, rolls and ham and cheese as well as real italian coffee. The front desk man \"Marco\" was extremely helpful with initiative and we appreciated his enthusiasism. It was a reasonable choice for its price.

If you have a car, this is a great value

Hotel Oasi Dei Discepoli in Orvieto showed up in a quick search, we booked it, and then crossed our fingers. No worries! Signs on the streets guide you to it, and there is a large parking lot. A beautiful building, large room with four windows and two doors onto a balcony overlooking trees. Very clean, quiet, quality linens, good breakfast, English-speaking staff. But you do need a car to sightsee in the old city (it's not far though), as the hotel is below in the new part of the city. Our only regret is that so little of the hotel's history seems to be available -- it must have been a seminary or religious school, we're guessing, going by the attached chapel and the name of the hotel. There were several tour buses in the parking lot.

The hotel was noisy and clerk was not very friendly. It was difficult to find this hotel. There was signs up to about 4 miles and then there were no signs. It was not in Orvieto. It was in another town. We had to drive a good distance to get food and drinks.

Horrible hotel, not like Italy hotels at all

We stayed two nights in this hotel and both nights were without heat with temperature of lower than 60F in the room. When we asked to fix the problem, we were reassured that it will be fixed; however, the second night it was still freezing cold. They gave us an extra blanket to warm up. Here is what I can add to the description of this so called \"3 stars\" hotel: 1. Furniture is the room was very old and broken; the desk drawers wwre hard to open. 2. There was only one chair; apparently they forgot to put an armchair in our room that was in other rooms. 3. The shower was so tiny that can fit only folks who are in good shape (luckily, we are in decent shape and finally managed to shower) 4. The shower was leaking all over the floor 5. The drainage in the sink and in the shower did not work 6. The blankets smelled very bad and very so old! This is a short list, I can add more. Breakfast was very basic, not even close to what we had in all our other hotels in Italy (this is our 4th trip to Italy). How about having SPAM for cold cuts, for example, and spending your breakfast in a freezing cold restaurant? To conclude, it was a terrible stay and thank you, Expedia, for working with the hotel management: we got a refund for one night when we were literally frozen to death and could not sleep.

The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. From the hotel to Orvieto parking site is just few minutes drive. Leave the car at parking and take escalator to explore Orvieto old town. The only inconvenience of our room is the shower room space. It is the tiniest standing shower I've ever used. Other than that, this is a good value hotel stay.

Ci abbiamo soggiornato una notte di rientro dalle ferie. La struttura è molto vecchia anche se la qualità dei servizi e la pulizia della camera sono impeccabili.
Una bella sorpresa è stata ascoltare, nelle ore serali, qualcuno suonare il violino in una delle sale conferenza.L'hotel è posizionato in una frazione di Orvieto molto silenziosa. Per raggiungere la città occorre avere un mezzo di trasporto.

A szállodát a gépkocsival Orvietoba érkezőknek ajánlom. Kiemelkedő a reggeli, és személyzet hozzáállása volt. Sajnos a hotel felújításra szorul, és olaszországi tartózkodásom során talán ez volt az egyetlen olyan hely, ahol a fürdőszoba tisztasága nem megfelelő volt.

Purtroppo camera 316, evidentemente assegnata ai clienti di hotel.com, visto che non è la prima volta che la sento nominare. Camera fatiscente, bagno con vetro doccia rotto, water rotto e sporco, tapparelle che si alzano con la manovella e pure rotta. Abbiamo immediatamente chiesto di cambiare e ci è stata assegnata un'altra camera, non certo di lusso, ma decente.
Colazione poverissima: la prima mattina, la cameriera mi ha sentito lamentare e mi ha chiesto se volevo un caffè (per gli ospiti è dalle macchinette), la seconda mattina nemmeno il caffè. Che vergogna fare gli albergatori in questo modo!

Hotel incomunicavel

Nao pudemos usifruir da estadia. O portao de acesso estava fechado e o atendente do hotel nao conseguiu se comunicar conosco (so falava italiano) e desligar gava o telefone. Estavamos ligando para pedir para abrir o portao ou indicar outro acesso diferente do endereco constante na reserva.

Buona anche la cena e la colazione ben fornita.
Ampio parcheggio e posizione ideale per spostarsi anche nei dintorni di Orvieto.

Hotel in zona molto tranquilla, immersa nel verde a pochi minuti dal centro. La camera era spaziosa e confortevole.Letto comodo Mobilio e sanitari nuovi. Molto pulito. Consigliato

静かな郊外ホテル

元修道院を改装したホテルのようです。使い勝手は悪いですが、それなりにリーズナルブですが、場所がわかりにくいのが問題です。
設備は良いとは言えないまでも、田舎なので従業員も皆のんびりとしていて親切です。レンタカーで行きましょう。

Bel hôtel de campagne au service soigné

Hotel excentré mais joignable à pieds en 20 minutes. Vieillissant, comme souvent en Italie, mais confortable et agréable avec des environs magnifiques. Une mention spéciale pour le personnel d'accueil et de service qui enchante le séjour par son travail au delà du professionnalisme.

Comodo per visitare la città

Hotel in posizione ottimale per chi desidera visitare la città. Vi abbiamo soggiornato una notte durante un tour tra Toscana ed Umbria. Abbiamo trovato facilmente l'hotel che si è presentato ordinato e pulito, così come la stanza: ampia, pulita e con un bagno comodissimo. Il personale si è dimostrato gentile ed affabile. Assolutamente consigliato!
