The hotel was great and staff are very attentive. The rooms are comfortable and clean. A few minor issues with not having hot water in the morning. We received a free upgrade to a one bedroom suite and that provided some extra room. The pool was comfortable and never crowded. The location is great. If you are parking they will charge $50 per day to park and the garage is not great. We had one day where we could not find a place to park for about 15 minutes and the garage is not easy to move around in if you had to turn around. I mentioned this at checkout and a day of parking was removed from my bill. This was the correct action by the hotel because if they are charging $50 a day to park the parking should not be difficult. Great place and i will stay here again.

Beautiful updates hotel. Staff was amazing and very helpful. The concierge staff also very helpful. Pool small but clean and nice. The gym fantastic! No bartender at pool area and no room service. The bathrooms weee small and shower very small like a cruise ship size. It was nice but small. The pool attendant was great as well. Your also able to get a discount at the pizza place next door because your staying at the hotel.

I would stay here again it was overall nice and great location to Waikīkī Beach.

Terrible experience at the Outrigger Paradise. We arrived to check in at 2:55pm. Just 5 minutes before the guaranteed check in. The front desk informed me that the room wasn't ready and that she would call me to tell me when it was. Until then, we could speed up the check in by \"pre-checking in\" and paying the resort fees and providing identification. I had no problem with this.

However, she then said, to get in line because once the room was ready, she would not be able to give us the key card until we waited our turn in line. What was the point of pre-checking in then? The line was at least 20 people deep, likely a 45min-1hr wait. So now I'm being told to wait in line and that maybe the room would be ready. However, if I got to the front of the line again, and the room wasn't ready, then I'd have to get back to the back of the line and start the process over.

Now it's 4pm and we still have not checked in. We had a 5:30pm dinner on the otherside of the island and had to use the public restroom in the lobby to change and drop off our bags. When we asked the front desk for access to the public restroom, we were told that we had to be checked in guests for that. Absolutely insane. Eventually we got the card and changed in the public restroom.

We finally checked in after dinner at 8pm. I'm not sure when the room was ready. Also, the A/C was substandard. The room was hot. I'd avoid this trash heap at all costs.

If you want to be at home in the middle of the buzzy, fun part with the sights, shopping, and restaurants of Waikiki, this is the place to stay! Although this property wasn't on the beachfront, it was still super easy to go back and forth from the beach and made for a perfect home base for all of our Hawaii fun.

Bonus: All of our tours picked up and dropped off within a 5-minute walk from this hotel, and because of construction, many just dropped us off right in front of the hotel.

The staff was bright and cheerful, it went out of their way to make us feel comfortable.

Had 2 false fire alarms during our stay, the first night at around 12:30am they didn't give us any details just told us there was no reason to leave our rooms. The 3rd night we were there we were again woke up at around 7am. These alarms had 2 follow up alarms to let us know they were investigation the alarms and give us the all clear. The pool is small and shallow. The hot tub temp was very inconsistent, and one night there were feces tracked through the street level of the building. The resort fees were high and it definitely didn't have a resort vibe at all, its just a run of the mill generic hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights before the inter island cruise and 4 nights after. The staff were very helpful. On the last day of our stay, as our flight was at 10 pm, we got a late check out at 7 pm at a very reasonable rate.
The location is excellent with the International Market Place and many restaurants and cafes close by.
As an Expedia VIP member we also got a $50 voucher for each stay which can be used in the two restaurants next door - Tanaka of Tokyo and Appetito. We tried both and enjoyed their food and service.

For a much better price than the airport you can rent a car from Hertz or I believe Dollar across the street at the Hyatt Regency. It saved us 200$ for the week

Incredible value at this property. Conveniently located with restaurants and shopping within steps. Beach is just a short walk around the corner.

We had the studio king which was a corner room with two balconies and modern decor. Biggest highlights were wet bar, microwave, coffee maker, and fridge, as we wanted to refrigerate and reheat meals. This was invaluable to us and hard to come by at other resort hotels.

Pool is small but with decent and calm lounge area. Room and property were clean. Area feels comfortable and safe.

10/10 recommend and would stay again in a heartbeat. After multiple visits to Waikiki and comparing hotels, this one is a no brainer for the value and convenience.

We had a room with two beds and it’s quite roomy. We didn’t need room cleaning during our stay. The staff (cleaning and front desk) did contact us and tell us to let them know if we need anything. The location was excellent, with many restaurants and cafes close by. The beach is also minutes away.

Front deck didn't seem very informative last day we were there we saw that there was a lei making class I asked oh is it free she said yes I asked why didn't you tell us that when we checked in she replied its on the TV!!!!! Really come make your guests feel welcome 🙄🙄🙄🙄

Overall, our stay at Outrigger was great. They cleaned our rooms every day and it was tidy at all times. I would say something that we didn’t particularly like was that it was difficult to cast Netflix from our phones to the TV so we couldn’t connect to it the whole trip. Also, you can hear your neighbors so the walls are a bit thin. It would also be nice if there was an ice machine and water dispenser on every floor vs. just one floor to make it more convenient. I think though for the price of our stay and location was nice since it was close to the beach and shops.

The sink is tiny it’s too small even for a child. The shower is tiny too there’s no room to bend down. The light from the door to the hallway was way too bright keeping me up all night I had to use a freaking EYEMASK to sleep! Paradise hotel? More like motel. The crack of the door was way too big the light was unbearable.

Then the AC. It definitely did not adjust to the temperature it was set to. I had trouble staying asleep due to the warmth of the room. It was not getting cooler even when adjusting it. Not a good experience.

Overall 2 nights of that sucked. Not good sleep quality and I had to literally stuff a towel beneath the doorframe to block some of the light. It still shine through the rest of the doorframe though.

If I was here on vacation I would not have thought it as a vacation to be honest.

Hotel was great except for the day the pool had emergency maintenance and we were unable to use it. Also had a tall vehicle that didn’t fit in their parking structure so we had to park at the international market for $70 a night instead of the$50 daily. Only to find out that the international market charges $60 for 24 hours. Felt ripped off and when I brought it up to the front she brushed it off saying she wasn’t aware and that it “probably” doesn’t allow ins and out. Confirmed it did before I left.

My family had previously looked at this property but decided on a VRBO instead. After an issue on night one with VRBO we pivoted and booked here instead and we are so happy we did. The staff was so helpful by holding our luggage for most of the day so we could go see the sites. The front desk women were wonderful to work with and put us at ease from the moment we arrived. There are only two things that keep me from rating 5 stars. The first is the traffic in their parking garage being too tight which is more about design so I don't take off much for that. The biggest grip I have is the shower head in the shower stall being in the very corner so it only covers half of the area. Think of a cruise ship shower design but water on goes to half the shower. That is completely a design flaw but an inconvenience. Other than those two things, this hotel is super clean, higher end feeling and close to the beach/restaurants/shopping. We would definitely stay here again.

Was looking for a nice recently updated hotel in Waikiki that wasn't far from the beach. Outrigger Paradise was perfect for the cost. Very clean and nice hotel. Open lobby and kind staff. We walked, uber'd, and rode the bus to our destinations and the bus stop across the street was convenient. Tons of shopping and coffee places. Target was a block away inside International Marketplace and ABC was across the street. Cool taco stand up the block for a quick bite. No coffee shop in hotel but there is one next to the taco stand and Coffee Window is a short walk. The room was in great condition and updated. and have balconies, however the 2nd floor opens to the rooftop deck overlooking the city across the street. Very nice when you want some air and walk around a little bit during the night. I received a $50 dinner credit through 3rd party reservation which was a nice treat. Recommend this hotel for your next trip.

The hotel itself was ok. Bathrooms are extremely small as is the shower. The pool was closed for a couple of days while we were there. That was disappointing for my daughter as she loves to spend time at the pool and isn’t a big fan of the ocean. The walls are also quite thin. All of the staff was great except for one of the front desk managers. I was told her name was Cassandra. She was rude, argumentative and just seemed bothered by my questions. I don’t think I would stay at this hotel again after our encounter with the manager.

Would recommend this property to families and couples looking for a hotel near the beach and restaurants. I found it to be budget-friendly in Waikiki. It's within a block of the main Waikiki boardwalk that leads to the Duke Paoa Kahanamoku Statue. The parking structure is conveniently accessible from your room, eliminating the need to pass through the lobby. Loved the gym and the pool. There is also a nice, inexpensive gift shop right across the street called the DKTL gift shop. Parking was $50/night. The staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. Recommended Ono Sushi. Would stay here again.

There are 2 restaurants under the hotel on the street level. They are a pizza, light meals and bar establishment open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and the other is a Japanese Teppanyaki dinner house. We ate at both. Both were good and were able to help my spouse who has many food allergies to have a safe eating experience. At Tanaka's of Japan, they treated us like royalty, giving us a personal dining experience so that he had no issues.
The hotel and it's employees were great!
The mattress was 100% foam on a sheet of plywood. Way too soft for our liking. The amenities were ok. I really think at almost $300. per night they could have a shampoo and a conditioner, real cups and glasses not paper, and a way to have a drink at the pool.
I loved the lei making class in the lobby on Friday morning with Mark. So much fun and a great way to meet other travelers. The Activities Desk salesperson, Jules was also lovely and when I asked where we could get a Hawaiian drink with an umbrella, she suggested a sunset cruise with unlimited drinks. We did that and had a blast.
I was skeptical about staying in Waikiki but am very glad we stayed in Waikiki and would likely stay again at the Outrigger Paradise. Hoping for a better mattress, though!

The entire property is recently renovated with very tasteful Hawaiian decor with lovely shades of blues and splashes of island colour. Rooms are very comfortable and the newly updated property shines in all areas. Most rooms have balconies comfortable for 2 chairs. A very good choice in the middle of the Waikīkī action and only one block from the beach.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Outrigger Paradise Hotel, lovely room, very friendly staff and even with the option to get a room for half an hour on the day of check-in to freshen up after our flight due to an early arrival before check-in was possible. The location is another big plus, as it is right in the center of Waikiki Beach and every local amenity can easily be reached by foot. We can only recommend this hotel to everyone else planning to stay in Waikiki for a few days or even longer.
