A disappointing stay this time (stayed a few times previously). Extremely rude young lady on reception, more interested in her phone than customers. Very poor breakfast, minimal choice. Would recommend ibis Caen Porte d'Angleterre instead, were weve also stayed, far superior in comparison.
That said, if you just need a bed for the night very close to the port, this hotel in Ouistreham is in a perfect location, right opposite the port. This would be the only reason we'd stay here again.

It was very expensive for what it was. Rubber mattress protectors on the beds made it an unpleasant sweaty nights sleep. Very disappointed that there were no tea / coffee facilities in the room.

Right next to ferry port so very easy to find. Rooms basic but good enough for 2 people. if you want to watch TV there are no English channels. Breakfast was fine for a continental one and is included in the price. Small charge for secure car parking. However it wasn't that secure as one morning when i was leaving to visit some D day locations we found a migrant in the boot of the car. He was obviously trying to get to the UK and thought that's where we were going. This is a big problem in this location and you will find migrants in every car park trying to stow away in your car to cross to the UK. My advice is check your boot before attempting to board ferry especially if you have parked up anywhere before boarding.
The hotel is perfect for visiting all the D day location which was the purpose of our 2 night stay there.

We arrived off the Ferry and it was dark. Poor outside lighting. I rented a triple room my my husband and we have a disabled child 17. Room was tiny. Difficult to get around bed. The room was very hot. No air con. Asked for a fan. No fans. Told to open window. Room overlooked a very noisy bar. It there was loud noise until 2am. Then people talking loud outside window. We. Got no sleep!

This hotel is ultra convenient for the ferry port, overall the hotel was very clean and well located for local shops & restaurants.
Rooms were comfortable and exceptionally clean, and we loved the overall decor and friendliness of the staff (unfortunately the restaurant was closed as chef was on holiday!!! which they could have pre-warned us about, but it was only a 10 minute walk into town).

Property is in need of updating. It’s called an Ibis Style but there is not a lot of style in the property. The rooms are looking tired. The only reason you would stay here is that it is very close to the ferry terminal. The staff were very friendly though.

The room was very cramped and had unnecessary furniture in it. The bathroom had a bath rather than the requested shower and it was almost impossible to look out of the window due to the room's design.

This is a nice hotel, really close to the port and so it is in a really good location for travellers, especially if you are on foot, although it has ample parking too.
The hotel has a nautical / ship theme in that all the floors are labelled \"decks\". The rooms have a porthole window in the bathroom, but like a cabin, they are also quite compact. In fairness to the ferries and cruise ships I have stayed in, their cabins are bigger as you will see by the space around the bed in my photos.
The rooms do have a big bed, although it is two singles beds pushed together and unsecured. A gap opened up in mine, so I kept to one side. The rooms need updating. From the decor to the fittings. If the owner applied a fresh paint job and new carpet, it could help. While the room and the bed are very clean, the condition of the tired carpets and the tired paint make it feel like it is not. My room was cold and there were no operating instructions for the storage heater. The cold could have been bearable if there was an extra blanket, but there was none in the room. The bathroom was very good. Plenty of clean and fluffy towels and a good shower, although, the old heater and hair dryer just reminded you that the room is in need of updating.
The staff are very nice and helpful and the breakfast was nice. It is my second time here and I will come back to stay here and I would recommend it, but for the prices paid for accommodation, I would expect a bit of money to be spent on the appearance.

We stayed for a night after our ferry was cancelled due to strong winds. The hotel is strategically located next to the Ouistreham ferry port, and within walking distance to The Great Bunker WWII museum. The check-in process was smooth, but the hotel is a bit scary at night as the lights were all turned off to conserve energy. You have to walk for a few seconds into the hallway before it will come back on. The rooms were comfortable but there were no tea nor coffee in the room; those were offered in the lobby. A bit inconvenient but not too big of a deal for us. Continental breakfast was offered with plenty of loaves of bread. If you like bread the breakfast will be perfect; if not the breakfast is a bit on the limiting side as there were only a few cheese/ ham/ yogurt options to select from. Overall, a pleasant stay if you need to crash in the area.

This hotel is clean and comfortable with a good, secure car park. It is right next to the ferry port so is ideal when arriving late in the evening, but is nevertheless quiet and peaceful in the rooms. The only downside is the breakfast, which is very poor value. There is the usual ham and cheese etc with breads and cereals, but the quality of all the foods is very average and the breakfast is not worth the amount charged. It is better to go to a local café for a cooked breakfast which will cost less and be more satisfying, or to have a continental breakfast for a smaller cost. Having said this, we stay regularly at this hotel and like it very much.

This hotel is located close to many restaurants and is right in front of the ferries. Hotel is clean. Rooms are a little small but it’s europe and that’s all you really need! Also, there is a heavy police presence as many immigrants try to get on board of one of the ferries to England... a little intimidating to walk the streets closer to dark.

Room had an awful smell from the bathroom where the ventilator wasn't working, there was blood on one of the towels, wasn't able to get the television to work, the room radiator did not work. On the plus side the food in the restaurant was very good and the service there was excellent. Paid cash for secure parking which was not noted on the final chexkout bill.

Man on reception was helpful, friendly and polite. We were able to park the car in a gated, secure car park. Dog was allowed. Room and bathroom was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. I booked a twin room for a female friend and myself but when we arrived on the 10 pm ferry it had been changed to a double bed! No email in advance. Quite unacceptable to change a twin room booked for two women to a double.
