The service was wonderful with several employees going above and beyond to help. The hot water and water pressure was amazing. The location is perfect with food and groceries within walking distance. We did the hop on hop off bus that was next to the hotel. Very convenient. I would definitely recommend. Thank you for a pleasant experience.

The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Our room was clean and the breakfast was good. However, for a hotel that advertises having A/C, we had zero air flow in our room the entire time and were unable to turn the temperature down. Our room never got below 75 degrees F (24+ C) the entire time we stayed, and we had the window open in the middle of November. The bathroom had no ventilation and would heat up the entire room every time we took a shower. When we asked the front desk, they were able to give us a portable fan which definitely helped, but if your main requirement to sleep is cool temperature, this may not be the hotel for you.

I had forgot to change number of adults from 1 to 2 and I feel like we got punished for it. We were going through some difficulties in our travels and was an honest mistake with our last second booking when our plans fell thru. The front desk gentleman was a bit rude towards us about it. And we got what had to be the smallest room with the worst view of the AC ducts on 1st floor. 2 people could barely move around in the tiny room. Besides that, everyone else was very nice! All the staff was otherwise friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great! The hotel is clean in great location that felt safe. The beds in Europe I feel are uncomfortable most everywhere we stayed and these weren’t much better. Overall it was a nice experience for 2 nights.

Nice for one night

Hotel was further away from main attractions but had plenty of restaurants near by. No parking at all. Fire department next door so expect to hear noise from them. Staff was friendly enough but asked twice to have our room safe box fixed and it was never done. Breakfast was great but room was small and certain times no place to sit. Come early or after 10 am.

This hotel is in a great location. While the rooms are quite small they are clean and well kept. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great and has lots of choice for everyone. If you're planning on staying in Lisbon for just one or two nights, then the Dom Carlos Park is... just fine. It's not nice, but it's not terrible either. If you're staying longer though (I stayed for five nights) then you'll probably regret it. Hotels in Lisbon are expensive and they've clearly gone with the market but the hotel is old, has basically nothing in terms of amenities and staff will charge you for absolutely everything. Do you need water? That's going to cost you. Did you finish your coffee pods after 3-4 days? They're going to charge you for me (3 pods given for a 5 day stay is absurd).
Did you want to iron your clothes? Forget that, they don't have irons although if you want to pay for it they have a laundry service (hope you don't need it on a weekend though).
The bed was stiff as a board and this caught up with me in a few days to be sure.
Breakfast was included and it was fine. But there are better at other hotels too.
In short, I have nothing good to say about the Dom Carlos Park. I will be back to Lisbon as I visit once a year but definitely not here.

The front desk staff and food service staff are all very nice, very accommodating.
Great central location. Near subway and bus stops.
Like other reviews, our room was very small, so if you need a lot of space see if they have larger rooms. Perfect for a few hours of sleep after sightseeing all day.
The neighborhood can be noisy at night, and the hotel is located on the property of an ambulance company, so take that into account if you're a light sleeper.

Great Location with A+ Staff!

Room was far smaller than what was pictured and my room was facing a brick wall would be the only negative. Staff was excellent with restaurant and transportation suggestions, super friendly as well. Love how quiet the hotel was despite being close to Pombal main train station. Breakfast had a really nice variety of hot and cold options. Good option for solo traveler.

Well located only 5 mins from Metro station. Able to leave luggage securely prior to check in and day of departure for late evening flight. Staff, friendly and courteous. Good breakfast, hot offering, eggs, bacon and sausage were a bit tasteless, lovely fresh fruit and plenty of pastries bread and cereals to choose from. Room was great for a family, twin beds in one room and a single in the other room. Free safe and plenty of storage. Sadly no free water had to pay 2.50 euros for the one provided in the room - a bit steep given the price paid for the room. Bathroom very dated, needs modernising, shower over a tiny bath and a bidet! Who still uses them? Would stay again as felt safe in the surrounding area.

Unfortunately there was a construction site next door which made noise from 8am each morning. Only complaint was it stated there was a bar in the hotel which was completely untrue . Counter with 6 bottles and a fridge with a few bottles of beer isint a bar . Otherwise I would recommend this hotel

We stayed at the “Dom Carlos Park” for four nights in October. It is probably an older building that was updated with all amenities, elevator, WiFi and fridge in room. The rooms were very clean and the bathroom was fully functional. As is the custom lately there is only soap, no shampoo, so bring some.
The hotel is two minutes from a major subway station and also walkable distance from the river and many destinations. Still, a daily public transportation pass is useful; at a cost of Euro 6.50/24 hours, it allows using all subways, buses, most local trains and some ferry service and lifts. Do not just buy online, buy at the subway station (Metro) as it anyhow needs to be enabled at a kiosk (no App that we could use).
Parking is available for drop-off and pick-up, but the front desk staff was very unfriendly about using those spots.
Expedia offered a complimentary drink for the stay, which we appreciated. The hotel put out a bottle of flat water for a cost, which we find less than appropriate for this level of hotel.
Building projects are everywhere, but right now they are on both sides of the hotel; the workers seem to respect working hours (8 AM – 5 PM), so we only had some noise during breakfast. There are supermarkets near-by, but there are also many excellent eateries for all tastes and budgets.

Hotel seems very outdated and has very limited amenities such as waiting/lounge room and on proper kitchen which I thought it was odd, their room service is actually a delivery from a small place who serves hotels. It was okay for my one night prior to returning home and I believe I did overpay for it since it was las time booking, my mistake . Staff was friendly and helpful though, that was nice.

Pleasant stay, but!

We had a mixed feelings in our stay at the Dom Carlos Park Hotel. The bed that was a way too hard, and even then we requested a King size bed, the largest bed they had was a full size. Maybe it was advertised wrong.
There is also a construction site next to it, that starts making a little noise early in the morning.
The area is also a little far from downtown Lisbon, but there is taxis and Uber cars everywhere making it easy and cheap to reach most areas of interest.
Enjoy Lisbon.

The bed was hard, and small. In Hotels.com website says that they have rooms with a king size bed. That is not true.
Not even a queen size is available, according to the hotel.
So, we paid for a deluxe room with a king size bed, only to be given a full bed.
Also, the water that is in the room is not complimentary and expensive.
Breakfast was included, and was nice.

This hotel is... I would say a traditional European hotel. Emphasis on “traditional”. The rooms are very outdated and small. The service was good, they were friendly and for the most part spoke or at least understood English.
Do not count on the breakfast they serve, we found it to be poor quality and very limited, serving the exact same thing every morning. One good thing about breakfast is they leave it opened until 11:00am.
The safe box in our room did not work, they finally fixed it 2 days before we left. They offered to switch our room, but we chose not to since we arrived very early in the morning after an 8 hour flight and were exhausted.
Another thing to keep in mind, which we did not consider, is that staying right in the middle of the city comes with advantages, like the ability to walk everywhere, but also with disadvantages, like the constant noise of motorcycles, cars, police, etc.
Keep in mind there is no parking at the hotel, so if you rent a car, like we did, be prepared to pay for parking on the street every day.

Very mediocre hotel. With just a little effort on the part of the staff, it could have been a more pleasant stay. Shame on them for a lack of good hospitality. They were better at making excuses and not finding solutions to minor issues that could have made an easy difference. Wouldn't bother staying or recommending. There are better hotels for your money. Too bad.
