Super friendly and helpful staff. They were fully decorated for the Women’s World Cup - it is great to see that level of effort. Walking distance to the stadium and convenient to the Tram. I wish they had other nights available during the tournament- I would stay again.

Nice hotel - clean and very pleasant staff. Breakfasts are good value for money BUT beware that smokers gather at exit doors and wall or building. Smell of smoke infiltrates into rooms and smokers loud and laughter until 1 in the morning when we eventually had to telephone reception to ask them to consider other guests and keep the noise down.This has been our third yearly visit as it is nice a convenient for us visiting a War Grave - not any more I am afraid.

Good, clean hotel on the outskirts of the centre
Stay here for a week every 3-4 months. This trip, I decided to bring my daughter along. Don’t usually have any problems with the stay and have based my rating on that, general review of the hotel at the end.
This time, there seems to have been some confusion over my booking, I called to add an additional night over the phone. This resulted in not getting a twin room as requested although the night staff gave us an additional bed and blanket/duvet to put in the room, but no sheet. The room staff did make the bed properly the next day. The next night, someone was assigned our room whilst we were in it. Again, it was eventually rectified after some time when the reception staff spoke with the manager over the phone. Not sure of the exact reason for the problem, may have been a clerical error or glitch on the computer.
This is the first time I have had an experience like this at this hotel. I will still be coming back next month.

Bird-watching base in northern France.
This was an excellent base from which to explore many of the local bird-watching places and to drive through picturesque villages. The hotel was a nice, comfortable, friendly base to return to at the end of each day. Breakfast well and truly set us up for the day. Thanks.

The hotel is in the downtown a bit off the motorway. The room was fine except the climate controls weren't working at all and it was somewhat hot. Seems like they were just disconnected. Not too much around the hotel to we ate at the property and there only about 25% of the menu available. Furthermore the bartender/waiter was having a bad night.

Motorbiking in the Valenciennes area
A group of us got together for a motorcycling weekend around Valenciennes and the Ibis was chosen for its location and price. It was a good choice, comfortable rooms, good breakfasts and best of all secure underground parking for the motorbikes.

The stay was great, but I only used the hotel as a base whilst attending ANZAC day memorial services at nearby Le Quesnoy. As myself and members of the New Zealand Military had to be up at 0430 to be at Le Quesnoy for the dawn service I was pleasantly surprised to see that the hotel had laid out breakfast, some two hours early as many guests were attending the service.

Le personnel est sympathique mais une prestation digne d’un formule 1 , le prix n’est absolument pas justifié.
Le petit déjeuner est convenable pour mon mari qui n’a pas d’intolérance , mai je prend mon repas avec., mais c’est le cas la plupart du temps.

Très bien situé à 15 mn à pied du centre de Valenciennes, l'hôtel IBIS est très confortable (5 séjours) notamment la chambre 215 très spacieuse avec une grande table (idéal pour l'ordinateur) et vu sur le parking. Très bon couchage également. Le seul point négatif serait le manque de places disponibles dans le parking obligeant de stationner sous l'hôtel où les emplacements sont très étroits et les manœuvres difficiles.

Nous avons séjourné une seule nuit, hôtel à côté du parc de la Rhonelle, rue calme et gratiote au niveau stationnement, pas très loin du musée des beaux arts, un petit peu plus du centre ville mais rien d'insurmontable. Je recommande Valencienne et pourquoi pas cet hotel ou nous avons été très bien reçu.

Bien situé et établissement atypique en centre ville mais avec parking donc plutôt bien. En revanche l’acoustique serait perfectible et les salles de bains auraient besoin d'être modernisées : unedouche au lieu d'une petite baignoire serait un plus certain.

Très bon établissement proche du centre-ville dans un quartier très tranquille. J'ai trouvé la literie un peu trop molle à mon goût et j'aurais bien aimé avoir une petite bouilloire dans la chambre.

Evitez la chambre 65, dernière en rdc du bâtiment dans la cour. Elle est froide car encastrée entre la cage d'escalier le mur extérieur, il faut laisser tourner la clim quasi en permanence pour chauffer la chambre qui devient donc bruyante. Nombreux clients fument dans le sas qui donne à l'extérieur et quand les portes s'ouvrent la fumée rentre dans les couloirs du rdc et pénètrent dans les chambres en passant sous les portes le tout bien dispersé par les flux des clims ! Très bon accueil de la part du personnel.
