A room with Breakfast - basic needs sorted.

It was a nice hotel, outside of the main centre, but close enough. I didn't wander too far to see what was around, as I was there for Folsom Europe. Very short walk to the U3 & U7.
Breakfast was okay, it is a continental breakfast but still good variety.
There was no tea/coffee in the rooms but you could purchase at reception.

This was by far the most disappointing hotel experience I’ve ever had. The sound insulation was practically non-existent—I could hear every car passing by all night, making it impossible to sleep. The room lacked several basic amenities: no kettle, no slippers (which were definitely needed due to the itchy carpet), no refrigerator, no toothpaste, and not even a phone to contact reception—I had to go downstairs just to speak with someone. The room was also uncomfortably cold. Considering the price, I expected a much better standard. The only redeeming quality was that the room was clean.

The hotel itself was very good, just what you would expect from B&B Hotels. The Breakfast was a good value I think, especially if you like to have more than one cup of coffee with your breakfast.

My only complaint was the room temperature. It was late April and it was unseasonably warm but there was no way to cool the room besides opening the window. The cooling system was controlled centrally and provided no measurable air flow or cooling. I would think twice about staying here in summer, but winter would be great.

The alarm went off in the middle of the day for very long time and everyone came out of their rooms. They stated service the elevator in the muscle of day and I had to wait until they finish so I could go and pick up my luggage’s. They would not extend my check out time to 1:00 PM from 12:00 PM unless I paid them extra.

Amazing hotel but lacking in facilities

The hotel room was lovely and very comfortable and the staff were beyond helpful. However, I was told that the renovations would be complete on the 16th February by one of the staff members via live chat. However, this was not the case and the renovations were still ongoing with the breakfast and bar area cornered off due to the ongoing refurbishment work. One of the lifts was always out of order and then the other lift also kept breaking and we had to keep getting the stairs. This would not normally bother us but my partner has recently bruised her ankle and climbing up and down the stairs was a bit of a strain on her ankle. Also our hotel key key cards kept having to be reset. Overall the style and comfort of the hotel was amazing but the facilities need some work and there needs to be clarification on when and where the renovation work was taking place. Seems a bit unfair for the hotel to charge the same prices when the facilities are not up to scratch.

Great Stay

The Berlin City West Hotel was a classic Ibis experience. Everything works as it should, check in is easy, the staff are friendly, parking was obviously signposted and bringing our dog was simple. Staff were great with any issues we had and checkout was quick and efficient. We would definitely stay again.

The building looks modern from the outside. The decor of the rooms themselves is somewhat dated. The carpet in my room was dung coloured, and the external bathroom wall painted in a very similar (uninviting) colour. There was a most unpleasant odours in the room when we arrived, and we soon realised that this came from the basin in the bathroom. The only way to stop this (or reduce it(, was to leave the plug in the basin and block the overflow vent. In other respects the room was acceptable.

Looks like it's not had any money spent on it in a long time - old rooms with smelly toilets. Otherwise the room was clean. The room was uncomfortably warm, making it difficult to sleep (in early April) and when asked, staff said various unconvincing things about the aircon only being able to blow hot or cold air (and warm was better than cold supposedly) and there being no engineer available to turn the aircon on... I suspect the real reason was probably cost related. One of the two lifts also not working meaning long waits. All in all, pretty disappointing and not good value for a hotel which is far from the centre of Berlin.

IBIS Hotel Berlin West June 2018 - Worst Hotel

My husband and I are travelling through Europe. When we arrived we were greeted with a lovely young girl, but that is when the friendliness stopped, from then on the staff did not smile at us once and only said hello when we approached them. We were asked to re-use our towels, if we wanted a bathrobe we had to go downstairs and organise it. There were 2 lifts and 1 was broken , it took so long that we had to use the stairs -FROM THE 6TH FLOOR, !! Regardless of this we loved Berlin and decided to extend our stay, when I rang reception to do this the girl said she was too busy and to organise it in the morning, there were conferences on and I was concerned that we woulnt have a room. The girl assured us there were plenty rooms left. When I went to reception in the morning I have never been treated with such contempt in my life ! I was told the Hotel was booked out and when I said the girl last night said there were plenty of rooms left- she checked again and then quoted a price of euro 110 when there was a rate of euro 61 advertised out the front.!! Again not one friendly gesture. I discovered my wallet was missing and I was trying to contact the bank to stop my credit card. The phone in the room was not working. I went downstairs to reception and explained my situation and was told that I need to pay upfront to use the phone, I had no money!!and on top of that it was a freecall. The same woman said I can go to the bank in the morning and do it then. Terrible service. RUDE

The hotel is very well run, spotlessly clean and friendly. As you would expect from a 2 star (Superior), the rooms are small and simple, but comfortable and quiet. Our bathroom had an excellent shower.Staff are friendly and helpful.

We chose this Ibis for its proximity to a venue we needed to attend. Its location proved to be perfect, and it is easy walking distance from an underground station of the U3 line, which takes you straight into the centre of town in 15 minute.

Very good value for a short stay.

Clean and comfortable

I stayed in this hotel for a week for a business trip. It was a very simple hotel, but the bed was comfortable and there was a desk. The staff was very helpful and spoke English. There are a lot of good restaurants in the area and a great coffee shop around the corner. It is only a block from the Ubahn station so you can get anywhere pretty quickly.

A great deal.

We planned to do day trips in/out of Berlin over a few weeks and the Ibis at Berlin City West was our home base. The staff were helpful and the room was basic but super clean. Air conditioning and Wifi were our must-haves but the friendly staff made this a wonderful experience. It's in a safe neighbourhood, very close to the U-Bahn and a \"short trip\" to S-Bahn. Local coffee shops, grocer, and restaurants make is unnecessary to have b'fast at the site but we did enjoy the b'fast on a Sunday and it was good.

Best IBIS hotel ever

All the staffs are really friendly and helpful. I brought a SIM card, but registration is required and all the information was German, the staff helped me to translate those information and helped me to activate the card..Really friendly staffs. Also, the room is quite clean.
I would definitely recommend this hotel in Berlin.

It was fine - staff OK, room OK, location OK - but no more than that.
The room had a very comfortable bed and good shower, but there were no tea & coffee making facilities and the only plug socket was half way up a wall (!) which made charging things and working in the room difficult. Wi-fi v. unreliable in the room too, even for the paid for version.
Staff were helpful on the whole, but occasionally surly for more difficult requests (i.e. dinner recommendations).
Location wise, the hotel is 2 mins away from the tube and buses, so very easy to get into town, but there is very little in the immediate area for dinner and drinks etc.

In summary, the hotel is fine, but I'm sure there are better for the price.

Single and double rooms have the same price which I liked very much as we had ordered two single rooms. Other hotels charge more for single rooms. The rooms were clean, no noise and nice view into trees.The breakfast offered everything you needed. All in all a pleasant stay.

I had to take this hotel, because it was the only somewhat affordable one close to where I wanted to go. The room itself was Ok, but I had to pay for wireless, yet to get adequate wireless reception I had to go into the hallway. Also, the front desk staff was not particularly friendly. Overall, I think I paid too much for what I got.

Sehr nettes Personal, Zimmer waren auch okay. Mit dem Fenster zur Straße hin war es jedoch zu laut, die Fenster sind schlecht eingestellt und dämpfen kaum den Lärm.
In der Nähe ist ein Krankenhaus, Martinshorn kommt somit ebenfalls vor.

Das Raumklima konnte man mit einer Klimaanlage regeln, was ich nicht mag.
Da das Hotel an einer stark befahrenen Hauptstraße liegt, konnte man das Fenster nicht immer öffnen.
Geschäfte und Lokale sind in der Nähe.

Hotelli oli rauhallinen ja hiljainen.
Huone oli siisti. Roskis puuttui huoneesta. Ilmalämpöpumppu piti ilman raikkaana. Olisi kiva lisä huoneessa olisi vedenkeitin ja pikakahvia ja teetä.
Sijainti oli eri omainen Vilmersdorfissa lähellä metroasemaa.

Ich habe an der Rezeption nach Bügeleisen gefragt und mir wurde gesagt dass das Hotel kein Bügeleisen hat. In 2025 ist das ein Skandal und sogar peinlich. Ich hoffe dass es sich ändert sonst ist das Hotel gut.

Gutes Mittelklassehotel unweit der City West. Die U-Bahn Haltestelle Fehrbelliner Platz ist nur zwei Gehminuten entfernt, von dort kommt man einfach in alle Bereiche der Stadt. Das Zimmer war simpel eingerichtet, aber vollkommen ausreichend um für ein verlängertes Wochenende die Stadt zu erkunden. Klimaanlage vorhanden!
