A pleasantly surprising stay in the Saumur/ Doué-la-Fontaine area of the Loire. This property while modern is a gem, we benefited from a comfortable clean and pleasant family room, with a window opening up onto their rear garden area. Woke up to birdsong and quiet , and a great breakfast in their large conservatory. Service excellent and helpful. Only point of note is if you wish to dine in their partner (next door) restaurant , best to reserve in advance , as it was fully booked (despite being almost empty!) at 630pm. But- more choice available in nearby Doué-la-Fontaine about 10 mins drive . Would thoroughly recommend this family run hotel as a stop-off on the long drive south from Calais, or for short excursions into the Saumur area.

Pleasantly surprised

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel, the rooms were clean and comfortable with a good sized bathroom.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
We stayed on a Sunday so the bar closed at nine but the lady on duty made sure that we were ok for drinks before she left.
Good WiFi in the room, and we enjoyed a generous breakfast in the large conservatory dining room.
We will definitely use this hotel again.

Room nice, bathroom not very clean

Room was clean, however the bathroom was not great. Tthere was a large clump of hair in the shower drain and a shower chair for the elderly that wouldn't close out of the way. I took the quickest shower of my life to get out of there.

very quiet location. no restaurant so we had to go into the village. sign said breakfast available at 0630, but the owner would not serve until 0800 and we had to leave without. We suspect too little business to make it worthwhile.

Séjour très agréable avec un personnel très sympas et compétent .Le buffet de petit déjeuner est très bien et copieux . La chambre est très propre .
Seul petit bémol, le carrelage de la salle de bain est glissant car en sortant de la douche , j'ai glissé et fort heureusement je m'en sort avec 2 écorchures mais Céline la réceptionniste à fait une super infirmière.
Je reviendrais avec un grand plaisir dans cette hotel super sympa , confortable avec un personnel compétent .je recommande fortement l'hotel dela saulaie

Un accueil bien agréable ! nous y sommes resté 2 nuits en fin de compte ! nous avons pu constaté le 2eme jours ou nous avons pris le petit dejeuner, que celui ci etait tres varié copieux ! le service à votre écoute tres sympatique avec un super sens de l'accueil !çela fait plaisir d'avoir de jeunes personnes au sourire aux lèvres! exemple à suivre petite parenthèse! très bon séjour aux prochains visiteurs !

Température excessive dans la chambre

Chambre proposé wc et douche pas de fenêtre mais éclairé par une simple applique alimenter par des piles ? Qui ne fonctionnaient pas (piles hs)
Apres notre demande de changer de chambre on nous a proposé une autre chambre seul probleme température excessive pour cause passage de tuyaux d eau chaude dans le sol
Seule moyen de se rafraichir un ventilateur sur pied a disposition dans la chambre mais peu d effet

Étape d’une nuit

Nous avons séjourné en couple pour une nuit dans une chambre avec vue sur la piscine. Bassin qui a été salvateur, compte tenu des chaleurs excessives pour un week-end de mai, on a pu s’y rafraîchir tout autant que profiter de la terrasse ombragée.
Le petit déjeuner est très complet et si un quelconque élément vient à manquer, le serveur se fait un plaisir d’en remettre à disposition. Le cadre (véranda) et la musique sont très appréciables
Notre petit moins aura été la chaleur assommante dans le bâtiment mais nous avons réussi à créer un courant d’air en ouvrant nos fenêtres dans la nuit, sans pour autant subir de bruit lié à la route, donc tout petit moins.
Nous n’avons pas testé le bistrot, ayant préféré le routier d’à côté ( très chouette aussi ) mais des amis croisés sur le parking de l’hôtel nous l’ont chaudement recommandé, une prochaine fois peut-être.

Déçue par rapport à l'an dernier

Petit déjeuner mesquin pour le prix plus de vienoiseries que ce soit à 8 ou 9 heures fruits pommes et orange pas de saison !. Peignoir déchiré dans la chambre. Joints noircis. Sinon personnel aimable, lits confortables chambre propre.

Nous sommes arrivés vers 16H00 et la réceptionniste nous a demandé si nous voulions dîner au restaurant à côté de l'hôtel. Arrivé au restaurant le serveur nous a refusé complet. Il ne trouvais pas la réservation. Le serveur n'a même pas essayer de trouver une solution. C'est la réceptionniste qui nous a réservé une table dans un restaurant en urgence ( surtout avec un enfant diabétique ) insolite et nous avons adoré. Heureusement que la réceptionniste était là. Merci a elle.

Photo mensongère, chambre partiellement refaite mais ça nous le voyons qu’une fois rentré dans la chambre. ( salle de bain vraiment petite, pas pratique...)
Vu de la chambre côté parking sur une usine et de plus bruyant et hôtel située dans une zone à côté d’une déchèterie.
Ont ce dit qu’avec la piscine cela va nous faire oublier .... hors extérieur limite entretenu, mobilier de jardin sale, piscine vraiment petite ... si l’hôtel est plein le soir et que vous traîner il n’y a plus de place sur le Parking

Point positif: les personnes présentes à l'accueil sont très sympathiques.
Point mois positif: j'ai trouvé la chambre peu accueillante (couleur marron sur les murs+éclairage type néon blanc ).
La salle de bain (sans tablette ou meuble pour poser les objets de toilette) n'a pas dû être refaite depuis de nombreuses année et ne correspond absolument pas aux photos mises sur le site. Précision: j'avais réservé une chambre \"confort\" et non \"standard\"

Très déçue de cet hôtel trois étoiles notamment par rapport à la simplicité de la chambre et de tous les détails que vous verrez en pièce jointe par le biais des photos !
Le site de l'hôtel présente très bien mais la réalité est toute autre !
Je suis désolée d'avoir utilisé une nuit gratuite, en plus, pour cela !
Habituellement, c'est l'occasion de découvrir d'autres enseignes par ce biais mais dans ce cas, la découverte s'arrêtera là !

Bien pour un week-end.

Nous avons séjournés dans cet hôtel le week-end du 10 août. L’hôtel est dans un coin reculé et calme à proximité de Saumur et de Doué-la-Fontaine. A l’arrivée, nous avons eu la surprise d’avoir une chambre non rénovée contrairement à nos amis. Ainsi, pour 10€ de supplément, nous avons pu avoir une chambre supérieure qui était bien plus en adéquation avec un hôtel 3***. La chambre supérieure est spacieuse, confortable et propre, le tout dans une décoration moderne. La piscine est plutôt petite mais la salle de déjeuner est spacieuse.
Dans l’ensemble, je recommande cet hôtel pour un petit week-end en famille, entre amis ou en couple.

Standort für Höhlentour

Hotel liegt leider am Kreisel im Gewerbegebiet. Es hat dann aber einen Garten mit
großer Rasenfläche und Pool, eigentlich recht idyllisch, daraus könnte man noch mehr machen. Das Zimmer war schön und die Leute total nett, prima Service. Gefrühstückt haben wir nicht, aber 2x im Bistrot gut gegessen, da wir im Ort nicht gefunden hatten. Doué la Fontaine ist sehr weitläufig und oberirdisch ;-) absolut tot, recht trostlos. Wir waren in Angers (klasse!) und haben einen Höhlentag eingelegt mit Museumsdorf Rochemenier, Mystère des Faluns (toll!) und Abendessen in dem netten Höhlenrestaurant Le Caveau, bei dem die Rezeption für uns reserviert hat. Das hat den Aufenthalt gerettet.

Morbider Charme einer Jugendherberge

Wir waren 10 Tage in Frankreich unterwegs. Dieses war leider unser schlechtestse Hotel. Trist, morbider Charme, Service so la,la. Der grün blühende Garten des Werbefotos entpuppte sich als ungepflegt und vertrocknet.

Un simple retour d'experience'

J'ai passe deux soirs dans cet hôtel situe dans une zone proche d'un rond rond point. L'accueil est chaleureux et le personnel agréable. Le cuisine du restaurant mérite d'etre améliorée .. Les repas doivent être du surgelé mais conforme au rapport qualité / prix. Par contre la chambre que j'occupai (chambre 9), mérite une remise en état de la salle de bain. Sa configuration ne permet pas d'y circuler avec facilité.

Hôtel confortable mais bruyant vu sa situation au bord d'une route très passagère.
Nous avons partagé l'hôtel avec un car de touristes très bruyants et envahissants, dommage!
Dans une région au climat d'été chaud et étouffant, la climatisation d'un hôtel trois étoiles serait un plus, la proposition de restauration le dimanche n'est pas suffisante : un plat de pâtes réchauffé indiqué à 7€ sur le prospectus et facturé 9€ alors que le restaurant le plus proche est fermé!
