Motel 3.5 km out of town. Big hill if bike riding. My room was on the carpark. All fine. Very clean. Won’t win any design awards but was a traditional nicely run motel. Nice staff.

The Wi-Fi was not usable by me (java script not enabled, it said) though others used it. Food was good and plentiful apart from one course of beef steak - very chewy. Dining area could get VERY noisy when fully occupied, probably because of the low ceiling. Bedroom was quiet and fine, and parking was not visible from outside the property - important when going by classic car.

Excellent location
We used it as a stayover en route to home, but it was worthy of far more than this. The location was superb, in a small and pretty town, very convenient for visiting Loire Valley Chateaus. The service was splendid, cleanliness and comfort excellent, and while the cost of the food was a little more expensive than it could have been, the quality was great. We would have stayed for longer if we had the time, and will use the hotel again providing that we can get the same pricing through Hotels.com.

The rooms have comfy beds, but are not really suitable for a weeks’ holiday accommodation. The furnishings are minimal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, but there was no hot chocolate. Dinner in the evening left a lot to be desired. There were no decent restaurants in the area.
There is a major road and set of traffic lights in-front of the hotel, so if your room is at the front the early morning traffic makes sure you do not oversleep. Having had a good stayed in the Campanile in Saumur 6 years ago we were disappointed that the restaurant quality was not the same.

Noisy neighbours
Great hotel, fantastic food ,(superb dinner and excellent breakfast) and service, let down only by a group of very noisy young men in three rooms. Noise went on well after midnight then again at 4 a.m. No action was taken to prevent this noise which seriously disturbed other guests. Limited french speakers would find it hard to ring the emegency number to complain.

L'hôtel est un peu vieux mais en très bon état, j'ai eu une chambre à l'étage et la taille des chambres est un peu plus grande je pense. J'espère qu'il y a la climatisation pour l'été, en ce moment ce n'était pas utile, mais déjà un peu chaud. Le réseau wifi est excellent, la télévision est récente et un grand écran avec les chaînes canal+ cinéma. Pour le parking pas de soucis et pour le bruit on est situé assez loin de la voie rapide.

Nuitee convenable entre 2 sessions au cadre noir. Hotel calme mais vieillissant dont les batiments gagneraient à etre mieux entretenus. Meme certaines transformations de chambres simples en chambre PRM sont limite mal faites. C'est bien dommage. Personnel sympathique, tres bon petit dejeuner, rapport Q/P favorable.

Un réveil à haute voix
Après 900 km dans la journée, j'espérais pouvoir passer une bonne soirée ainsi que me reposer jusqu'au matin afin de repartir pour une journée en pleine forme. Le repas fut parfait, très bon, rien à redire. En revanche, je n'ai pas pour habitude de laisser d'évaluation sur mes hôtels, mais dans ce cas-ci je ne peux que constater. J'ai été réveillé dès 9H00 du matin par deux femmes de chambre, qui semblaient discuter de leur journée précédente d'un bout à l'autre du couloir à haute voix sans se soucier que d'éventuels clients souhaitaient finir leur nuit, en ayant pourtant apposé le document pour finir la nuitée tranquille sur la poignée. Ainsi j'ai été réveillé dès 9h par des conversations à haute voix, au lieu de me réveiller à 10h20 pour quitter les lieux à 10h40. J'espère que si toutefois, j'ai à renouveler des nuits dans l'établissement, je ne sois pas réveillé par des conversations qui ne me concernent pas et à haute voix, qui réveilleraient tous les clients du couloir, de cette maniere-ci.

Calme, situé dans un écrin de vert, à 5 mn de Saumur, cet hôtel mérite d'être retenu pour son rapport qualité/ prix et pour les efforts des personnels. A noter son petit déjeuner, copieux, diversifié et d'excellent niveau. Le point à améliorer se situe le dimanche soir, au restaurant, par un effort dans l'organisation et une offre en concordance avec la carte, notamment pour les vins du pays de Saumur. Sinon, bravo pour les perspectives de croissance à portée de main et merci
