Beautiful hotel on the edge of Old Quarter so easy to reach. Rooms are a little small but offer a great city view. All staff throughout were very friendly and courteous. The spa was awesome. The rooftop bar is great and dinner in the restaurant was very nice. I sent compliments to the chef over the preparation of my salmon fillet. This is a great hotel and I would definitely recommend it to my friends visiting Hanoi.

Great stay at the May De Ville Lakeside. I will say that this being a 5 star hotel is a bit of a stretch but it is very nice and the people are 5 star. The rooms were clean with great linens and towels, comfy bed and adequate plugs for charging. We had dinner at the rooftop bar. We didn’t expect much as it was “bar food” but still it was very mediocre and the service was slow - unfortunate as it wasn’t busy. That aside we were there for the view and it did not disappoint. The hotel is in a great location if you like to be in the heart of activity - right at the night market on the weekend, but lots of shopping all the time, small eateries and great places to grab a beer. Short walk to the lake. We were only there for our last night in Hanoi but enjoyed it and would recommend.

This property has it all! The rooms are clean and spacious, the views are amazing, the spa is wonderful, and the breakfast is superb. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I did not encounter any issues. The location is central to many attractions, such as, Train Street, The water puppet theatre, and Hoan Kiem Lake. Do not skip the breakfast! The variety and quality is absolutely top notch. The staff go above and beyond with service. Arrive early to get a table with a view of the lake. I will definitely stay again. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great location in the old quarter. Staff are kind & helpful. Breakfast is great with lots of choices, particularly liked the egg station from omelets to egg benedict. Room tip: avoid the 11th floor if you want to sleep in past 6:30am as is this is when the restaurant opens that is located on the 12th floor. You can hear the scraping of the chairs. Roof top bar was closed due to maintenance. Overall a very good stay.

Located in the old quarter, we enjoyed walking around. It is safe both day and night but is crowded. Driving would be an issue with heavy traffic.

I had a wonderful stay at May de Ville Hotel in Hanoi and cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and provided excellent recommendations for exploring the city, from hidden gems to the best local dining spots. Their knowledge and willingness to help added so much value to my trip.

Great location right in the heart of the old quarter so lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful and the onsite breakfast and restaurant were fab. I stayed in a balcony room and the outside space was great. The only downside was my hotel transfer from the airport to the hotel which did not show up which meant my arrival was a bit stressful. My advice, book yourself a grab instead

We stayed here for three nights in two stays with our Halong Bay cruise in between them. We wanted to travel light and take just backpacks. Hotel had no issue in keeping our suitcases safely locked away for us.

From the moment you arrive to the time you depart, you can expect top class service with lots of friendly smiles.

One of the front desk managers , Sophie (I guess this as she wore a smart business suit compared to the others who were in traditional Ao Dai outfits), went out of her way to make sure we got our Halong Bay tour bus. As it was a bigger bus it couldn’t come down our tight street so she took the call from our guide and then personally escorted us with one of the doorman up to the corner where she had arranged for us to be picked up.

The room was modern in a classic French style and everything worked perfectly. It was small but it was what we paid for and what you expect in a major city where land is precious. We actually got an upgrade to same room type but a better view on both occasions, one with lake views on the top floor. Very comfortable with a great walk in shower and top notch bed and bedding.

Breakfast is on the twelfth floor with views of the city and Lake Hoan Kiem. Staff are very friendly & very attentive & switched on. The buffet itself is EXCELLENT! Egg station includes Eggs Benedict & also local noodle soup.

The location is very convenient. Definitely no hesitation in recommending this hotel as a great base to explore Hanoi.

My partner and I had an wonderful experience at May De Ville Lakeside hotel. Its service was exceptional, particularly by Hannah. A bit too much salt among other criticisms. But there are some great places just outside the hotel so don't let that put you off. This place was the perfect location in \"Old Town\" Hanoi for us. You step right out into the heart of everything. We arrived by hotel transport from airport to accommodation. Everything ran smoothly from airport. Friendly, accommodating staff on arrival to hotel. We were given an upgrade to one of our rooms to an 'lake view' which was nice. The room we stayed in (President room) had a balcony with views on the city side, and to our surprise a \"massage chair\" - Wicked!! spacious room with large bathroom. Full kitchen facilities available in this room. Very clean and tidy. We had breakfast included in our booking. Large buffet style breakfast with a wide selection of breakfast foods. Hotel staff are friendly, accommodating and would stay here again due to the service we received. Would recommend to other family and friends. Thank you for the comfortable stay!

The hotel is well located. However the description of rooms with an internal windows are deeply misleading. The window is a small light well which means literally no light in a lower floor. Unlike other internal window rooms we’ve stayed in, the window does not look over internal space on the hotel. Very, very disappointing. We raised the issue and nothing was done until check out when the manager profusely apologies and refunded us some money. The pool is also freezing cold - there is no indoor pool (again misleading in description) as it’s just one indoor pool that can be covered with a temporary roof.

The main reason I gave a 5 star to May de Ville was because the entire staff was so welcoming, friendly, attentive and committed to fulfilling the expectations of guests. The restaurant dining and room delivery, exercise facility and cleanliness were all very good. I personally liked being in the middle of all the shops and restaurants, and very close walking distance to the beautiful and historic lake.

Location is 10/10! Rooms are small. Buffet breakfast is a plus. Our pick up at the airport didn’t showed up at all. I called the hotel via Whats Up for several times but no one picked up the phone. I advise them that our flight is delayed but no one responded. We took a Grab car instead. To me this just a 3 star hotel. Otherwise would stay here again if we’ll visit Hanoi.

Best breakfast buffet, would come back to hotel just for the buffet. Staff attentive and friendly. The welcome drink and towel were a nice touch.

Clean and neat place near Hoan Kiem lake, staff are so kind to assist and coop with me. Hope to stay again if I do come to Hanoi again...
