What a fantastic place, the staff always happy to help and nothing was too much to ask for, the room is perfect, clean, spacious, well maintained. Bathroom is spotless, I couldn’t have asked for more. The spa facilities and massage facilities were amazing. This is an oasis of peace and quiet in the middle of a party town. 100% stay again

An Excellent Stay.

Excellent service, friendly staff, I really enjoyed my stay at The Golden Ville Boutique, I was so comfortable there. I will be booking this hotel again when I visit later in the year, I stayed at 2 other hotels on this same trip which were 4 stars but the Golden Ville Boutique beat them by far. Well recommended.

Nice hotel in pattaya

The room was as good as what it was shown on the websites. Nice, clean and spacious. Close to walking street, restaurants and drinking joint. Given discount for spa treatment and afternoons tea set. Super value for money. Will stay there again if visit to pattaya in future.

The hotel is tucked away on a small side road just off second road and is very walkable to both the beach and Walking Street. There's plenty of food choices nearby too.

The room is designed in a Japanese style, with a seating area in the room for tea (very Instagrammable) and a bidet toilet.

The bed has a very comfortable mattress and there are at least 6 available electrical plugins around the room, including 3 next to the bed.

Aircon was quiet and efficient. Water pressure was fine but the hot water never quite got *hot* despite me adjusting the heater setting. It wasn't cold, but was only warm. It wasn't a big deal overall.

Wifi worked just fine but twice in four days I had to call to get it reset for my access. The staff were quick to help.

TV is fine but it's not a smart TV, so no wifi there for Netflix or Youtube.

Overall I was pleased with this place and would stay again. The value is great for what you get.

Very friendly staff and helped with all the questions we had. The location was also great. The room was requiring a bit of uplift, the shower and the a/c didn't work that well. However, we got what we wanted for a short stay in Pattaya.

Everything was fine at this hotel except one thing, we were at second floor and I was expecting to have a window with some view and I got a window with a view to some ventilation shaft which was loud too. Problem of this was that there was no sun light from outside because hotel have 4 or 5 maybe even more floors. This is what I was little disappointed but except of this everything was fine. Clean towels, bed sheets and so on. It is in quiet area too and beach is only few minutes away.

Quality price ratio is excellent

Nice place in a quiet back street away from Pattaya noises but not to far from the action. I would stay there again. Remember, it’s not a 5 stars hotel. For the price, it’s an excellent choice. Bed mattress was new shower pressure excellent and hot water.

Good hotel well situated on the 2nd road. At walkable distance from Malls, Food courts and from the walking street.
Staff is nice and room is ok with the right space for the price.

Bathroom furniture and housekeeping hours can be slightly improved.
I've been 2 times there and never had problems.

Good location (near Royal Gardens mall), acceptable wifi, big room, a few phone charging points in the room, rooms look dated, receptionists are quite friendly, affordable self-service laundry shop just outside the hotel

Minuses:
Deposit only in cash - THB1000, no breakfast (but food easily found in the vicinity), no separate shower area - so the entire toilet floor will be wet, room is quite expensive for Pattaya given the limited amenities within the hotel, no fruits allowed in the hotel, plenty of mosquitoes outside the hotel AND one or two mosquitoes in the hotel room, very small lobby, noisy aircon in the room, toilet has no water spray.

True to its name: Golden

Golden Ville is quite unique in that it is the most QUIET hotel in a city of insane noise. Sandwiched between some expensive high rise hotels, there is no music bars blasting outside, even other guests are respectfully quiet. Newly renovated, beds are comfortable. Keep the door to the shower/toilet open a bit as that's the only way to get the floor dry in there, no vent fan, only a screened hole to the hallway. The angle iron that supports the bathroom sink is a rusty mess and needs attn. The duvet comforter was so heavy and warm, like a sleeping bag, that I slept on top of it. Front desk staff and housekeeping superb. All nearby laundry shops are a total rip off. Walk down to Soi Yamato for laundry, they charge 90b for what the laundries near Royal Palace Hotel quoted over 300b. Golden Finger massage in same building excellent. Room aircons showing their age, but quiet and work. Upgrade rooms are on the front with balcony, standard rooms are on the back. Balconies have zero privacy as one can look at all the neighbors, maybe the reason there were no disruptive balcony parties! Right across from Royal Garden and the Avani Resort, former Marriott. No swimming pool and the top end hotels won't even consider admitting outsiders to their pools for a fee. Perfect location for entertainment, all within walking distance. A hotel of this caliber is screaming for a computer station for booking/printing onward travel. After a 2 month stay (!!!!) I can firmly say that you can't go wrong

Okay hotel, great location close to Walking street

Once arrived at the reception, the only male staff there asked for my name to check my reservation. He then tried to persuade me in picking a different room than the one I booked (one with balcony), by saying that it is a bigger and better one for me. So we go check that room he wants to give me, and it didn't look any better than the one i originally wanted (except for a bigger TV, which I don't care about), and it was actually a down-grade. So I insist to take me to the original room I booked. It was much better, with a balcony, better natural light, and bigger bathroom I think. This was a bad start, and I didn't feel quiet welcomed. Despite this start, my stay for 4 nights was pleasant: the room keeper is super nice and did a great job daily. The bed was comfortable, the shower was okay, and the AC was cold enough. When going to the beach, the reception provided me with a beach towel. The only main issue I had was the bathroom faucet. It emitted a loud weird sound (due to water pressure or something), especially in early mornings. The sound will wake you up like an alarm, and it wont stop until you open the faucet and let the water run. Some mornings you have to do this several times until its 10:00 am.

Great central location and close to practically everything.. friendly hotel but no breakfast in hotel.. close by many options like Casa Pascal which has buffet breakfast.. below they have a good massage shop and recommended for foot massage. Hotel bathrooms are small and separated by a frosted glass door, allowing co-occupant to know all thats happening inside (LOL).. also a hand shower for WC will help for asian occupants which is there only in few rooms.

I was pleasantly surprised after reading alot of bad reviews about this hotel . The room was very clean and bathroom had a decent shower. The only negative about the room is there was no wardrobe to hang our clothes . Also another negative was the noise made by the cleaners in the morning having there walkie talkies on full volume but if you get up early that wouldn't be a problem.

The only problem of this hotel is the washroom designs was very stupid where you don't have room to brush your teeth and sit on the toilet, they also don't provide tooth brush and tooth pastenot you have to buy your own.

A quiet spot in a loud part of town-and cheap.

I stayed over three weeks so I could dive every day with Seafari Dive Center, maybe a 7 minute walk away. The place was difficult to find for my shuttle but it is in a very quiet corner of a very loud town. The staff was nice enough but I was very low key and was gone by 7:30 every day and back after 20:00.

Internet did not work at all the entire stay. water sounds were pretty apparent throughout the day as though there were water pipes in every wall, very constant noises like that.

This could have been a great place if it wasn't for the room bathroom. The shower was completely open without even a curtain to prevent splashing water everywhere. This is not unusual around these parts and normally I would just have to be careful but the floor had several depressions where water would pool. After a single shower, the bathroom floor would be covered in water and the only way to get rid of it was to physically push it out of the pools toward the drain. Using the towels to dry the floor was strongly discouraged and signs in the room and the elevator threatened a steep fine if any towel was found damaged or dirty. Not surprising, mold stains could be found here and there.

The room itself was very nice albeit a bit small (consistently with the price) and the Hotel has well furnished sitting areas in the lobby and outside. All in all it would have been a great value if it wasn't for the bathroom.

Of note, this hotel requires a cash deposit. Credit cards can be used for payment but not as guarantee for incidentals.

Bad arrangement for room for twice time.

1.Booking for deluxe room with king side bed but reached hotel in the end only being arranged with two single bed side by side.
2. Requested to change room to fix problem however can be changed only at 2nd days, however felt shock changed to smaller tight room(noise,annoying Air-con&outer area) with king size bed room.
3. Overall feel disappointed and can't sleep well due to 2nd days annoying air-con smaller. room .

I had a pleasant stay in a very quiet room. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The location is very good, just a few steps from Second Road. The washroom was a little small in that there was really nowhere to place any of your things. I would return here.

Quiet place, close to everything

The hotel is nice, my room was really good - spacious and clean.
It is literally less than 10 minutes walk from both Walking Street and LK Metro - very convenient.
The best thing about it is the staff - lovely reception ladies, always ready to help, also the cleaning crew did a great job and were always very nice.
I will be happy to come back.

A total desaster no one neither the tour operator or the hotel informed us of ongoing repair work was being undertaken during our two weeks stay we just happened to see a small notice in the lift as we entered it. They gave us a room that was un inhabitable for human consumption where the aircon.was blowing out dust and water when switched on plus,water was leaking from the drain pipe when you turned the tap on.To their credit we did changed room the next day but then had to changed room again because we were told that the room they gave us was allocated to someone else which was a complete fabrication.we booked the Golde ville boutique hotel hoping to have a quiet and peaceful two weeks but instead had to endure constant drilling and banging for the entire two weeks duration we were there.The bed linen was not changed and when we enquired we were told it was done every day which clearly was'nt the case.One member of staff was very stroppy and lacking in customer's know-how and politeness.Based on my experience I would'nt reccommend this hotel to anyone.

You get what you pay for with this hotel

Checked into Golden Ville hotel at 2am with my gf and was given the superior room 207 because hotel front desk said that was the last room available, upon reaching the room I quickly called back to the front desk because my reservations was for a room with a king bed and this room had two sperate beds, the front desk said we would be able to switch rooms the next day because this was the last room and there were no other rooms available which I agreed to, the next afternoon I went to the front desk and asked about switching rooms which they then told me I would be able to switch to a golden room for 600 baht more but I could only have it for one night and have to go back to room 207 because the room was already booked for the following night so I said forget it. The next morning I woke up and heard what sounded like water running in the bathroom so I went and checked it out, when I opened the doors to the bathroom I seen water running down the wall above the mirror so I quickly called the front desk and told them I think the room upstairs is leading water down to our room so they said they would send someone to look at it, the maintenance person came and opened a panel in the ceiling and about a gallon of water came pouring out all over the wash basin and our toothbrushes and other things we had in the bathroom, he then used the room phone and called down to the front desk and my gf who speaks Thai over heard him saying that he needs to repair something in the ceiling for the

A bit expensive, but acceptable...

We stayed for 1 night during a short trip. The room was clean, but the only real complaint we had is that the linens smelled quite musty. They were clean, but not really pleasant smelling. This sometimes happens in Southeast Asia if the sheets are not dried properly in the sun and remain wet for too long.
Other than that, the room was fine and appeared to have a recently renovated bathroom.
However, we both felt the price point was a bit high considering the room and amenities compared to other hotels we have stayed in Pattaya for around the same price.

This hotel is exactly as described. Don't expect a 5* hotel, because you're not paying for 5*.

We booked the Deluxe room but got upgraded to Deluxe with balcony, at a cost of 1100 baht per night (Although the walk-in price in Jan 2014 was 1700 baht). So, for 1100 baht we thought it was excellent value.

The room was clean, as was the bathroom. Yes, there was some stains on the grout / walls, but we've come to expect this for hotels in this price range. The bathroom is indeed a 'wet room', but almost all hotels in Thailand are the same, I don't understand why people are complaining about that? Infact, I see it as a bonus as I can wash down the whole bathroom upon arrival (to satisfy my OCD needs!)

I recommend splashing out for the balcony, it's nice to just sit out and chill for a few minutes in the evenings.

The air-con worked well, as did the free Wi-Fi and TV. There is a fridge in the room which is a bonus (although now becoming standard in Thailand).

We didn't talk a whole lot with the staff but the encounters we did have were positive. Reception staff and security very friendly.

You have a leave a 1000 baht deposit but there were no issues in getting a refund upon departure. This again is becoming standard in Thailand, we had to leave a 3,000 baht deposit in a 5* in Bangkok

Nice hotel with friendly desk staff. I had the deluxe room with windows but not with a view as it was only a window well with no sun, etc. next time I will get a room with a view and sunshine. The web descripment does not indicate that but rooms with balconies or rooms facing the outside are the choice rooms. The rooms felt damp cause no air circulation when you leave the room so any papers and clothes left around will feel moist upon your return.

2nd stay in 9 months

After some kind of mix-up with my reservation, they quickly fixed it up and put me in my room. A very comfortable room. The location is great. Good walking distance to anything that matters in Pattaya. The staff are very friendly and courteous. My only gripe was the shower head that constantly de-attached itself from the shower hose. Admittedly, I did not alert the staff to this, but I had left the shower head on the floor of the bathroom twice to alert the housekeeping staff about the problem. I kept forgetting to tell the front desk staff when I left my room and I guess so did the house keeping staff. Overall, I think it is a good hotel and good value for money. I would definitely stay here again. Condition and location is where the value is.

Good value, but failed on very basic services

There was one point during my stay where I had no running water.
I was unable to shower or brush my teeth or even flush the toilet. I can expect this in a country town, but this is unheard of for a hotel in a city.

The staff said they ran out and the tanks were being refilled and couldnt turn it on.
The hotel did not offer any alternative and I was expected to go and buy bottled water to brush my teeth.
Only after complaining about it were they willing to deliver me bottled water, in which i had to pay for it myself.

No running water, which is a basic need scores a big fat ZERO in my books, no matter how good everything else is.

Nice hotel close to Beach Road

Great location, the property is tucked away from all the hustle & bustle of the area. The staff is very professional and helpful. The only discomfort I experienced at this hotel is the towel policy. Guests are only allowed 2 towels per day, period.

Nice little hotel

Nice little hotel that's in a convenient area with lots of places that one can walk to. I booked the suite which is better than their basic room. Towels could be cleaner and whiter. Overall would stay again.
