Location is beside National Stadium BTS. Stayed in a private room and it was clean. However during my 4 night stay, housekeeping need not clean and I have to bring the towel out to change myself deapite I left it on the floor before I go out

Stayed in a double room with shared bathroom. Pretty small room, with some strange dimensions, had to climb over bed to get to the storage space. Bathrooms and communal areas are clean and tidy. Fine if you want a quiet stay, but wouldn't recommend for solo travellers, there is absolutely no social atmosphere.

Party hostel ?

It’s a good place to stay. Pros : staff is helpful ; bathrooms are cleaned I think 3 times daily . Next to the BTS and malls galore; free two month luggage storage -SHUT THE FRONT DOOR 😱 ; Cons: loud music on weekend nights (which is fine- that’s not the con) but there’s a rule that says you “can’t do laundry after 22:00-it can disturb the guests”. The music is louder than those quiet washing machines, ha! That’s the contradiction.Skip the dryer and hang dry. Theatre room is peaceful and has potential but has no movies or DVDs to view. [they can have customers sign out dvds like a library]I think they need a second refrigerator for customers . It can get full in there ; mosquitos; gnats love your blood.

Awesome price for so much

Hostel with a great location, cute, clean. I had iron, washer and dryer inside, and in the bathroom cottons, q-tips, soap, shampoo, and dryer. I sew the cleaning lady all the time - I could not believe it, she was super attentive. I have not seen such a attention to cleaning in other hostels. It had various areas to lounge. Bathrooms only for ladies where always good condition. The ladies area had its own separate key and access.

Good location, just next to National Stadium station. Convenience store at door step to grab a quick bite and Tesco Lotus is about 10 minutes walk from the property. Jim Thompson House just 5 minutes walk away. Staff are friendly. Room needs upgrading.

Greatest budget hotel in Bangkok.

Was amazing help from manager to help change booking I wrongly made at there sister Hotel and get full refund . Great help at organising tour company to pick me up from correct hotel.They also have great tour booking desk through STA Travel for me to book onward flight at a great rate.

Travel Easy with Lub d Bangkok

I stayed for 18 days it was 3 minutes walk to MBK shopping centre where you can purchase meals, drinks, etc if you walk in the opposite direction 650 metres to Tesco Lotus Shopping Centre it has a large department store and attracts the locals.
Everything is here all the large shopping complexes the rail system to get around just research use a computer.

The place is in a good location if you want to shop in malls. My room was loud. NO lockers you must purchase next door at the 711. Got in late. Checked out in the AM.

exactly what I expected. only complaint is they only use small locks on their lockers which I didn't expect and had to buy one. location is excellent and air conditioned in the rooms (not in the hallway areas).

Facilities - I just think they should have put in a lift/elevayor.

Near train station, malls and great staff!

If you're looking for an affordable and convenient accommodation at the city centre, this is a good choice. It's nice that this hostel has a room choice (1 double bed) that has a private bathroom. Also, right outside is a money changer and just a few steps away is the escalator going up the train station (National Stadium BTS). It's a short walk to shopping areas like MBK and Siam Discovery (next to it is Siam Centre and Paragon). Wifi signal needs improvement though. Weak to non existent signal in the room (206) and directly outside. But other than that - - convenient PLUS a very helpful staff!

Beyond my expectations!

Everything was smooth from check-in and out. Stayed at econo double by myself, it was perfect for one night short stay. Bathroom was spotless and well maintained. The room was equipped with a.c. which I found very useful when the weather was extremly hot and humid. Bed was comfortable and pillows, bedsheets and cover were clean. I highly recommend this place! Oh wait, the location. It's located right in front of National stadium station. Very convenient to travel around the city.

Take it if u stay up late

I stay in 4-bed dorm at ground floor
Good:
1) Good location-close to national stadium BTS, 5-10mins walk to SIam Paragon, Siam Sq etc
2) 4-bed dorm with good condition, shared toilet/shower is superior
Bad:
1) Noisy (music) - entrance with bar that music play late at night(or neighbourhood?), I stay up at mid-night, WITH EAR PLUG, but still hear the music & beat clearly interfere with my heartbeat. Only can sleep after 1:30am
2) Noisy (children) - I DON'T expect the hostel will accept children age under 11 stay alone here. With 30-40 primary students occupied 8/10 dorm rooms at ground fl, super noisy at 6am(they wakeup), 10am(they break), 10-11pm, they SCREAM, TALK LOUDLY, KNOCK ON others door heavily+shouting, NO TEACHERS at the same floor to control them. Though child is child, should the hostel also do sth to prevent they disturb other travellers? eg when they book, tell the school the teachers should stay at same floor; or, not to check-in other travellers at same floor if they already accupies 8/10 rooms? or, at least hv some signage to ask ppl to lower the voice b4 7am,after 11pm?

Pleasant stay and hotel right at BTS station

Overall it was a pleasant stay. Thank you Lub D! Most of the staffs are friendly and helpful. Trying to accomodate my request as i also switch from econo double to econo twin room on the fourth day. There was one staff on the night shift who was kinda rude and does not even speak good english as i was trying to ask her about something and she gave me attitude like wait and ignoring me standing in front of her. That's the only bad thing which i encountered there.

they allow us to take a shower even after we check out from the hostel with provided towels! The only disadvantage is we need to climb 4th floor to reach our room. Overall, it is good! Will come back again!

Never give up on basic comfort due to budget

Very safe place for ladies travelling alone. Train station Juz outside. 7'11 next block. MBK 10mins walk n Siam SQ 15mins walk.

Comfy mattress and pillow with clean sheets n fresh towels. Clean toilet n shower area. Washing machine available.

Would be great if offered a lock for the locker. More sitting / eating area at the lobby.

Our 1st time to stay in a small hotel, but definitely not the last time with LUb d Siam, we stayed there for 3 nights, hotel is very accessible to BTS station, near MBK,Siam center,Siam discovery and Siam Paragon. Our room was spotless and comfortable. I would recommend this place, especially if you're traveling with friends, but make sure to get a room with private bathroom (we stayed at deluxe double (the only room with private en-suite bathroom)

Central to shops, right next to transportation

The draw of having the hostel right in the heart of the shopping district and transportation lured me away from their sister location in Silom. However, I was really disappointed with this hostel. It just didn't seem as clean and well put together as the Lub D I had previously stayed in. My room felt like I was in a jail cell and the lockers would only take very slim travel locks. The blinds were sheer and so when the sun rose, it would be very bright in the room. What struck me the most was that they allowed everyone to hang their laundry wherever (albeit, the racks were full). So you would see shirts, shorts and undergarments on the stair railings, on a rope at the end of the hall.

My experience in my room was worst, and out of the 2 nights I booked, I left early and booked the hotel next door through Expedia.

We enjoyed our stay at this hostel enough to come back last minute to stay our last night in Bangkok. Hostel is close to so many things to do....especially if you like shopping....Siam Center, MBK and Paragon all within a few minutes walking.

We enjoyed the private 2 twin bed room on the 4th floor. Had to climb stairs but was super easy access and nice to see the city down below

Very well-designed hostel with spots to hangout and enjoy free popcorn! Plenty of shops etc nearby and really fast wifi. The bedrooms were a little dated but very clean and the bathrooms were phenomenal. Super hot water, great water pressure and spotless.

Modern, clean, cheap hostel accommodation

I arrived straight from the international airport using the fabulous train systems(BTS,ARL) which the hostel staff emailed me with info about during my booking. This was so helpful and cheaper for me! Unfortunately, the aircon wasn't working in the room of 4 but was attended to with in the hour. I was cheerfully greeted by my roomies & instantaneously became friends! The hostel's bathroom facilities were ultra chic and so very clean and my sanctuary especially given the heat and travelling time.

stay cation in Lub D

this is my second time staying in Lub D with my wife and we found the room has been in quite bad condition. the sink inside the room is having issue which spray the water every where on the floor. and the toilet is not properly clean. i can see many stain at the toilet floor which did not clean properly.

fortunately only 1 night stay, not sure how to survive another night here :( will not consider to stay here next time.

Fantastic Hostel

Lub'd is pretty near perfect as long as you accept it for what it is, a hostel aimed at young backpackers. This was my home for two weeks as I explored Bangkok. The location is perfect for getting around the city via public transport,the staff were amazing and the fellow guests were a source of many new friendships.

Hostel Near Shopping & Skytrain

One thing I did not realize - this is a hostel, not a hotel, and has shared bathrooms on each floor. I didn't mind this at all (the bathrooms were very clean) but I was surprised nonetheless.

My husband is 6'6 (nearly 2 meters) and he could barely stretch out on the bed in our room. Very tight quarters. But we only stayed there for a short night, and it was fine.

This is a \"location location location\" kind of place. I previously stayed on the other side of Bangkok and thought this place (and the easily accessible neighborhoods surrounding) was way more fun.

Disappointing stay

We were looking forward to our stay here but the experience was terrible.

We had a late check-in at 3am. Staff gave us room 2501, it looks clean and the furnishing seems pretty new. Just when I was about to shower, got a knock at the door and staff told us that they've given us the wrong room. Ok, it's very late and I just want to shower and hit the bed. So they moved us to a same room which is 2 doors away, 2701. And boy, it was bad! This room was worn out, there were many flies and every night there's an annoying buzzing sound outside the door. The shower pressure was a joke, it could go really strong randomly and wifi is pathetic - couldn't get a proper signal. We moved to the hotel next door after 4 nights, paid a bit of top up and it was well worth it.

Ideal for party animals.

This place is very \"cool\", and if you're a hipster on their backpacking adventure funded by Dad's credit card PLC then probably you will love the industrial feel. These weren't a problem for me, I enjoyed the building itself. Quite clean and very friendly staff. But don't expect to get any sleep. The party van outside was blaring music until well past 1am. If like us, you were looking for a place to get a good nights sleep. Don't stay here.

帰りの深夜のフライトまでの数時間、MBKや食事に行くために荷物を置いたり、シャワーを浴びたりする為に利用。エレベーターが無いので最上階だと荷物を運ぶのが結構大変。両替がホテルの目の前にあるけど遅い時間はやっていない。フロントも両替はしてくれない。トイレとシャワールームは共同だけどシャンプー、ボディソープ、タオルもあり清潔です。水圧はかなり弱い。ホテルの立地はとてもいい。スタッフも感じ良い。バックパッカー向けかな？
