I would have given 5 stars but, one The Smoking area is right besides de main door, so tobacco and weed smell is present when someone is smoking, should place that across the parking lot besides de street or up top of parking lot, and I asked for two pillows that were needed for our family and they had none, because the person in charge was all ready gone for the day, on top I had to go down to get it, a hotel without a person to take sheets and pillows to a room and a hotel without a pillow??? come on.... expected more than that. The room was great, beach was awesome!!, Breakfast was great, Staff mostly very friendly except the night manager with no pillows or staff...LOL!!!!, I still will stay stay there again, now that I know the pros and cons....

This is our favorite VA Beach hotel. Great pool, rooms, breakfast, and location. Rooms have a wonderful view of the ocean and boardwalk. Parking is very convenient.

Room was great (stayed in 700). Balcony are my one complaint as they are SUPER shallow and awkward to use because of it. Also could've used a larger fridge as the one in it didnt even havw a freezer cubby. Other than that no complaints. Parking garage was super useful. Took the trolley everywhere (download the HRT app and add funds, you cab get unlimited rides for $4.50 and kids under 18 ride free with an adult rider). beach access was amazing.

This hotel was for the most part clean and beautifully decorated. There was only a few hiccups. Didn't get the room cleaned but once all week and had to ask for tp and towels twice. The tub was stained and looked dirty with loose caulking on the base of the tub.
The sliding glass door had smears and fingerprints and the patio was basic. But for the staff was very friendly and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Everything was stocked and the right temperatures. Great assortment for food which changed daily.
The pools were clean with a great bar and seating.
You can't beat it for the price. Plenty of parking for $18 a day/night with in and out privileges inside a covered parking garage.
Would recommend this hotel.

Loved the location and proximity to a lot of great restaurants. Check in and check out was smooth. Loved the outdoor pool. We enjoyed sitting on our balcony in the morning and watching the dolphins. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We definitely will stay here again.

We recently stayed at this hotel and found the location to be one of its biggest strengths. The proximity to the beach was excellent, making it easy to enjoy the ocean and surrounding area. The room size was also very good, providing plenty of space for our family to be comfortable.

The complimentary breakfast was popular, but the breakfast area was extremely busy and crowded during peak hours, making it difficult to find seating and enjoy the meal comfortably.

Unfortunately, the cleanliness and overall condition of the room left a lot to be desired. There was visible mold on the shower curtain, the walls showed significant wear and tear, and some of the linens appeared dirty. The balcony was also not well maintained and could have used a thorough cleaning.

While the location and room size were positives, the property would benefit greatly from improved housekeeping, maintenance, and better management of the breakfast area during busy times. With more attention to these areas, this could be a much better guest experience.

Stay away from this Marriot. Place has the rudest misinformed employees. People here are miserable and not helpful. I was given wrong information about parking my sister vehicle across the street for like triple price I was told. They couldn't even let her park at the hotel when my reservation was for two people. I had a handicapped placard and they still wouldn't allow her to park there. They said they were sold out Friday and Saturday yeah well I was a reservation and as a Marriot member and someone with health issues didn't appreciate the treatment. Very unpleasant not very clean and disorganized place. No beach towels or chairs ??? On an oceanfront hotel what a joke. The breakfast was same every morning and chaotic. Stay away from this place ! So disappointed drive 6 hrs to be aggravated and annoyed.

Our room was on the top floor with a view of the ocean, so we were in an excellent location in the hotel. The room was very clean and was up to date. We had a nice suite with two queen beds with a separated area having a sofa, desk, TV, and kitchen. The buffet breakfast was very good. The bar area, lounge area, and dining area were all clean and well maintained. The hotel was right at the beach front. There were a few restaurants right on Atlantic Avenue across from the hotel to walk to. I would definitely stay here again.

**Honest review**

Our stay was okay... Family of 4. 2 adults, a preteen and a toddler. The hotel itself was beautiful and clean, the lobby smelled amazing!
I didn't feel that it was very family friendly though. We got looks like we were an inconvenience most of our stay..
We never received any type of housekeeping services in our 4 day stay. You have the option to opt in or out of the services but even opted in we didn't receive any. I had to go to the desk to request trash bags and towels and ask them to take our trash out.
We were also charged $200 extra for our stay that wasn't on our receipt bill. Only thing I can think of is it paid for parking, but again it wasn't on our receipt..
We had a room on the 10th floor which was nice for the ocean views. Our balcony rails were made out of pvc pipes which didnt feel very safe but I'm assuming it was over metal or concrete. And the wifi was so-so from time to time.
Those were really the only issues we had. The staff was helpful and quick to fill requests, the indoor pool was very nice, hot continental breakfast was great every morning, showers were always hot and all around a peaceful environment. I'd rate around a 7.5/10.

great beach view from inside and the room's balcony. The only very minor \"minus\" was that the balcony space was small, barely enough for two chairs and no table. Also (not the hotel's fault) very close to the flight path for the naval base, frequent landings and take offs of fighter jets during daylight hours.

From beginning to end this lot is worth every penny spent for your hotel stay, from plenty of parking, valet if needed, elevator or stair access from higher level parking. Main lobby clerks are attentive and happy to help, dining/bar is directly across within the lobby and also has private gated back patio seating with gas fireplace providing you with inclusive view and dining/drinks. Gym amenities are also on the first floor along with indoor swimming pool across the hallway. Accents within the building are clean and up to date. Our Room was on the 4th floor (3 elevators and stairs available) and included a fantastic view of the ocean front and had a balcony with two chairs - up to date and nice amenities throughout the bedroom/areas although perhaps it’s a west thing there was not a blow dryer. Breakfast was very busy but orderly with great options.

Overall the stay was okay. Check in a few minutes after 4P and the room is not ready...until I pushed back then it was a miracle. Then no carts were available...The parking garage elevator was out of order with no ETA. So, there was no $15 parking charge on my bill...The breakfast buffet lines were horrible; Friday there were less options then the days before...I asked if the garbage could be moved from the dining area that was already full of people eating. I called for room service on two separate days and received voicemail. The Hyatt Place in VA Beach provided a better experience last Springbreak...I thought the Marriott would treat us

We were in room 1409. The view was breathtaking. The room was spacious. I could not have asked for a better stay. The only complaint, and I had to search hard to find one, was we tried to order room service the last night and never got it. They were booked up with a National Wrestling Tournament in town, so it's understandable.
We plan to come back twice a year to see our kids in the military there and will hopefully be staying in the same room. I could have stayed in my room the whole trip and been very satisfied.
You could hear the white noise from the wind and waves even if you closed the sliding glass. Stepping out onto the balcony we saw dolphins playing in the ocean on our last day there.
I have never wanted to stay on vacation like I did on this trip.
The continental breakfast didn't taste like a homemade one would, but free is free.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Just don't go on the weeks I will be there, so it stays quiet. (Wink wink)

The breakfast was extremely limited. They only had bagels, grits, eggs, waffles, cold cereal and yogurt. They didn't have bread, which was an issue for my son who cannot chew bagels.

Upon check-in, I was slapped with an $18/day parking fee, although Expedia listed this property as offering free parking. The manager on duty was kind enough to remove the fee.

The worst hotel down the beach ! Don’t ever go here ! Racist / can’t guest or anything ! They expect people to be in bed by 9pm ! Bathtub was dirty ! Windows were dirty ! No soap for the dish sink .
Smelled old ! I had to buy cleaning products just to feel safe and sanitized!

My name is Mary Martin, I purchased this overnight stay for my granddaughter and her new husband for their honeymoon night, thinking I was getting the best hotel on Virginia Beach for the money. However, they froze to death all night and then discovered in the morning that the slider was open. Maybe you think they should’ve known this, but they’re young and it was obviously left open by some workers because they were unaware of it. Anyways, they left early in the morning without ever being able to enjoy the hotel really. It made my heart sad because my husband and I spent a lot of money to make sure they had a beautiful spot for their honeymoon night. I’m wondering if we can get some compensation for that? Then maybe we could make it up to them another way. They are moving to Japan with the military December 26 of this year. Please let me know how we can handle this matter.

There is carpet in the rooms…was very dirty found crumbs on the floor. Bathroom needs to be updated (peeling bathtub and paint peeling from ceiling) otherwise the bathroom was clean. Bar/Restaurant was understaffed for NYE - bar tender was working the bar, waiting tables and running food upstairs for room service

The front staff was friendly and the parking was easy. The breakfast was a good feature and of course the beachfront location was awesome! The only issues were the bathroom. I dont like tub/showere combos. The curtain was dirty so I had them install a new one. The tub was really grubby looking, which I feel was unacceptable. Why renovate the bathroom and leave a dirty looking tub? I dont have a dirty tub at home, so staying somewhere like that was very disappointing. Other than that, the room was great and the bed was very comfortable. Had the best sleep! Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

Great location! The room overlooks the boardwalk and ocean. It was very clean and well appointed. The staff were super friendly and the amenities were nice. My only complaint is that I was specifically looking for a place with a hot tub (visited in November) and they advertise that they have a hot tub. But when I arrived, the hot tub (outdoors) was closed for the season. Bummer. Otherwise, they have a nice bar/restaurant area and the food was good. I'd definitely recommend, unless you want a hot tub in the off season!
