great beach view from inside and the room's balcony. The only very minor "minus" was that the balcony space was small, barely enough for two chairs and no table. Also (not the hotel's fault) very close to the flight path for the naval base, frequent landings and take offs of fighter jets during daylight hours.

From beginning to end this lot is worth every penny spent for your hotel stay, from plenty of parking, valet if needed, elevator or stair access from higher level parking. Main lobby clerks are attentive and happy to help, dining/bar is directly across within the lobby and also has private gated back patio seating with gas fireplace providing you with inclusive view and dining/drinks. Gym amenities are also on the first floor along with indoor swimming pool across the hallway. Accents within the building are clean and up to date. Our Room was on the 4th floor (3 elevators and stairs available) and included a fantastic view of the ocean front and had a balcony with two chairs - up to date and nice amenities throughout the bedroom/areas although perhaps it’s a west thing there was not a blow dryer. Breakfast was very busy but orderly with great options.

Overall the stay was okay. Check in a few minutes after 4P and the room is not ready...until I pushed back then it was a miracle. Then no carts were available...The parking garage elevator was out of order with no ETA. So, there was no $15 parking charge on my bill...The breakfast buffet lines were horrible; Friday there were less options then the days before...I asked if the garbage could be moved from the dining area that was already full of people eating. I called for room service on two separate days and received voicemail. The Hyatt Place in VA Beach provided a better experience last Springbreak...I thought the Marriott would treat us

We were in room 1409. The view was breathtaking. The room was spacious. I could not have asked for a better stay. The only complaint, and I had to search hard to find one, was we tried to order room service the last night and never got it. They were booked up with a National Wrestling Tournament in town, so it's understandable.
We plan to come back twice a year to see our kids in the military there and will hopefully be staying in the same room. I could have stayed in my room the whole trip and been very satisfied.
You could hear the white noise from the wind and waves even if you closed the sliding glass. Stepping out onto the balcony we saw dolphins playing in the ocean on our last day there.
I have never wanted to stay on vacation like I did on this trip.
The continental breakfast didn't taste like a homemade one would, but free is free.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Just don't go on the weeks I will be there, so it stays quiet. (Wink wink)

The breakfast was extremely limited. They only had bagels, grits, eggs, waffles, cold cereal and yogurt. They didn't have bread, which was an issue for my son who cannot chew bagels.

Upon check-in, I was slapped with an $18/day parking fee, although Expedia listed this property as offering free parking. The manager on duty was kind enough to remove the fee.

The worst hotel down the beach ! Don’t ever go here ! Racist / can’t guest or anything ! They expect people to be in bed by 9pm ! Bathtub was dirty ! Windows were dirty ! No soap for the dish sink .

My name is Mary Martin, I purchased this overnight stay for my granddaughter and her new husband for their honeymoon night, thinking I was getting the best hotel on Virginia Beach for the money. However, they froze to death all night and then discovered in the morning that the slider was open. Maybe you think they should’ve known this, but they’re young and it was obviously left open by some workers because they were unaware of it. Anyways, they left early in the morning without ever being able to enjoy the hotel really. It made my heart sad because my husband and I spent a lot of money to make sure they had a beautiful spot for their honeymoon night. I’m wondering if we can get some compensation for that? Then maybe we could make it up to them another way. They are moving to Japan with the military December 26 of this year. Please let me know how we can handle this matter.

The front staff was friendly and the parking was easy. The breakfast was a good feature and of course the beachfront location was awesome! The only issues were the bathroom. I dont like tub/showere combos. The curtain was dirty so I had them install a new one. The tub was really grubby looking, which I feel was unacceptable. Why renovate the bathroom and leave a dirty looking tub? I dont have a dirty tub at home, so staying somewhere like that was very disappointing. Other than that, the room was great and the bed was very comfortable. Had the best sleep! Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

Great location! The room overlooks the boardwalk and ocean. It was very clean and well appointed. The staff were super friendly and the amenities were nice. My only complaint is that I was specifically looking for a place with a hot tub (visited in November) and they advertise that they have a hot tub. But when I arrived, the hot tub (outdoors) was closed for the season. Bummer. Otherwise, they have a nice bar/restaurant area and the food was good. I'd definitely recommend, unless you want a hot tub in the off season!

My family and I stayed here nearly 1 year ago and liked this property so much that we stayed here again this year. What a difference a year makes in cleanliness and maintenance. This property has 3 elevators. We have yet to see all 3 operating simultaneously. In fact on one day only 1 elevator was working. The laundry room is dirty. The floors in the hallways of the guest rooms are dirty. The floor in the exercise room is dirty. The trash in the exercise room wasn’t changed our entire 11 day stay. There was trash in the southwest corner of the outdoor pool that remained there all 11 days of our stay. My wife found chicken nuggets under our tv on our first day of check in and our room wasn’t regularly serviced even after request.
That being said, we really like the staff here they are very friendly. In fact I knew a couple of the breakfast staff by name. I think the staff works hard. I really think the majority of this hotel’s problems are the result of poor management. In order for staff to know what areas of the property need maintenance and cleaned the management may need to come out from behind their desk.
Last year my wife and I fell in love with this property. We liked the location because it is in between 2 playgrounds which is ideal for our young children. However due to the lack of cleanliness we will likely seek out a new location for our Virginia Beach vacation next year.

Consistency, thou art a jewel...of the sea!

Anything marked by its consistency and reliability for delivering on expectations needs widespread recognition. All rooms face the ocean and are spacious and clean with no frills but all the necessities. Location is good if you want easy access to shops and restaurants but do not want to be in the thick of it. The staff (housekeeping, front desk, breakfast hosts, facilities, etc.) are professional and friendly. They genuinely appear happy all the time. Breakfast is one of the best we have experienced in the US. Gym and pool are satisfactory. Parking is convenient--access to multi-level garage from lobby. This is our second stay within the past two months. We plan on making this our go-to place when we visit family in the area. I am a native to this city and have stayed in nearly every highly rated hotel at the beach over the past three decades.

It was very clean, very quiet also. What we did not like was we has to ask for towels and we had to find workers to take our trash from our room. No one cleaned, even after they mentioned every other day no one came. Still it was a nice place to stay.
