One night in VA Beach
Check in required two extra trips to the front desk. Our keys didn’t work and the second time back to the desk the clerk realized he’d given us the wrong room number. We were only here for one night. The room was clean and spacious enough for 4 adults. They provided body lotion and shampoo but no shower gel. There was one tiny bar of soap, we didn’t request any products that may have been on us. It was fine for our one night in Virginia Beach.

There was a lot of rainfall, but my family and I woke up to a leaking bathroom & leaking in the sitting area, we were on the top floor(3) so that tells me that the roof needs repair. The front desk personnel told me to let the engineer check out my room to see if we needed to change rooms!! Well we did now this room was dusty and black spots( look like mold was around the vents in the ceiling. I was told that this place is closing in October till next March 2025 for repairs, I wish i knew that before booking, my 5night stay I would have made other arrangements. You need to be closed now!

It was our first time staying here and we had a great time at the pools and hot tubs!!! The hotel is outdated but the staff were very nice and welcoming. The room we stayed was VERY spacious and had everything we need including a full kitchen. Short Walking distance to the beach and restaurants.

This oasis has such potential. Needs an update. During our short 3 dat stay one pool was broken down, another hot tub broken down and a family of ducks using the pools. The balconies are all under construction. Nice to see management fixing them, but more needs to be done to bring this beauty back up to what is should be. Loved the size of the unit and kitchen was well equipped, laundry was a great feature. Great location, nice staff.

The young lady at check in and the young lady at check out were great, parking was easy and location great but, our room was not worth what we paid. Not clean, chip pieces and crumbs on the floor, several large stains on the floor, furniture did not look clean, trash and nail clippings on the floor in the bathroom. Again, a great location, friendly staff, just needed to be clean and furnishings, flooring upgraded or cleaned.

Everything was great until the lady trying to sell me Delta membership kept harrassing me. I have never sray at a hotel that send so many texts messages call my room phone everyday, and fake like they going to give me birthday discounts just to get me to a mettering that sells Delta timeshares. Just tell me the truth. That alone make me never want to come back. The other staff were great and the room was nice. Its weird the bedroom was by the entrance into the rest of the suite but that was doable.

Hotel looks cute on outside, even with all the construction on the balconies. The inside looked run down, and the room I booked didn’t even have a shower curtain in it. It felt more like a $60 a night room and not nearly $300. Definitely not worth it.

Great pools for the kids. Super close to the boardwalk and beach. Located in a good area for families, away from the partying and college crowd. Good sized room and bathroom for a family of four. Only negative was our room bordered Pacific avenue and the sound of traffic was loud overnight.

Our room was okay, but not stocked like it should have been. Only 1 roll of TP for a 5 night stay, no pool towels provided, empty soaps/shampoos. Had to take the time to reach out and request items that should have been there in the 1st place. The girl at the desk told us they do not come in the rooms every day, but they never did. 6 days and no room service. Expect to have dirty towels and bed sheets unless you request new ones. We had sand all over our floor, i requested someone come and vacuum, but i did not expect to have a vacuum dropped off outside my door and a message to let them know when i was done with it so they could pick it back up. For the price I paid, you would expect some light housekeeping.

I liked the hotel and my large suite. The construction on every single balcony was not pretty to look out. The parking situation was very very tight. It was hard to get out in the morning because other guests were loading their belongings into their vehicle and were slow to move those things out of the way, while another car waited impatiently for me to move so they could grab my parking space. The hotel is close to the beach but you still have to cross one street.

The staff is rude and they don’t even have enough to run the place so you can’t even check in on time The so-called abilities are mostly broke in the hotel the rooms don’t even work properly, such as none of the plugs you have to park in another parking lot in order to be able to park the keys. Don’t work properly to get into your room. The facility itself is under construction so it’s dirty. The list goes on and on so again if you wanna throw away your money, go ahead and book a room here, I suggest staying someplace else

This is a very expensive, high-end hotel which calls itself a resort. It was overall dingy, filled with ugly construction surrounding the pool, loud and not private exposed to the main road, had no real amenities except the pool, and there was a terrible smell in the room the whole time. Also, no internet TV, so no Netflix or anything but normal channels. The pictures are so pretty, so the hotel was a real let-down.

Some areas does need updating like pull out sofa, beds, and our washer/dryer combo was replaced during our stay...Love the pool area and activities throughout the day. Great location.

I've always loved turtle cay! The property is beautiful and the rooms are great. Staff is always wonderful. This time the computer was down and we couldn't get room keys until about 6pm. I understand this is no one's fault but we had an early relative with us who unfortunately wet herself while we were waiting for someone to open the room door.

This place was able to accommodate us last minute. My two girls loved the pools and hot tubs, huge plus. Our room was very clean and quiet. They are in the process of rebuilding balconies so we couldn’t use them, but I would still stay here again. Very short walk to restaurants and beach. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Always love my stay here. It was a little noisy with the people setting off their alarms at 6am in the parking garage to find their car. Probably heard it 4-5 times between 6am-9am but it’s nothing the hotel can help. The staff is always super friendly and it’s nice that their rooms have a living room and a kitchen and everything you need to stay comfortably while you are there. Probably the only place I would ever want to stay at if I got a room at the ocean front and I’m a local if that says anything. Just need the tourists to learn how to be quiet. No one wants to hear yall all day and all night.

Rooms are old and dirty, broken furniture, cracked tiles on the floor, bath tub cracked and peeling, mouse droppings in corners, cobwebs everywhere and curtains are disgustingly filthy. Beds are bowed and uncomfortable and they had exterior construction going on the construction is understandable but for the price of this hotel it is dumpy! It used to be a beautiful place to stay and had a reputation of being one of the best at the Virginia Beach oceanfront, now at best it’s run down, neglected and old. Not worth the price. Only good part is the pool are!

I have suggested to them that it should be mandatory to have updated pictures/information regarding locations. Once it is book 9 time out of 10 it the stay will be nonrefundable, regardless of the condition of the property etc. This particular location in Va Beach sent a text blast a few days prior to our reservation letting us know that ALL balconies are close due to construction. By the time we received the notification it was too late to try to pursue a refund! This location should invest in carpets, new furniture, and paint! The furniture in the rooms had cigarette burn in the cushion. The pull-out couches for the kids to sleep on the mattress was soiled and moldy. The rooms have an odor. This entire location is in a badly need a facelift! The pool area/front desk were the cleanest part of the property! It is in a good location; you literally walk across the street to the beach! Planet Pizza is about a five minute' walk from the location. I would recommend it the food was amazing! The kids really enjoyed the pizza and wings. If I could give a no star I would for the rooms! The service was great the young lady that checked us in on May 4 was very professional. However, that does not make up for the price charged for this stay! I was highly disappointed I do not recommend this location.

The parking garage will not accommodate a large truck so we were told to park at the check in parking lot, we received a call from the front desk at 11:30 waking us up demanding we move the vehicle, very unprofessional and uncourteous. The shower had discoloration and cracking in the shower pan. Balconies sealed off.

Room was spacious and comfortable and the kitchen was nice..not well stocked but stocked enough to get the job done. The balconies were undergoing renovations but they seemed super nice. The pool grounds were very nice and made you feel like you weren’t in Virginia but maybe somewhere more tropical like. Easy walking distance to some great restaurants especially a breakfast joint called Sunnyside (you get a discount if stay at Turtle Cay).

The grounds rules are handed to you at check-in. Big red letters, no smoking or Marijuana use while on grounds. Open door to our room and strong smell of Marijuana throughout the room. Stayed that way entire weekend. Also, noise of people running down hallways into late hours. Not an enjoyable stay.

They rent rooms to drug addicts!! It’s super outdated and very scary at night. The rooms have mold and are filthy. People were knocking on our doors late to play games in their room. We booked this place for a one night stay because all of the reviews said it was clean and nice. Our first room had a clogged toilet and the beds were completely unmade when we pulled back the covers. They moved us to a new room which was fine, but there were hairs in the sheets. By that point we gave up and went to our event. We got back pretty late to a raging party next door that lasted for hours. Overall, would not recommend. Should have paid the extra $20 to stay at the Hilton across the street.

First off the entire place is under construction. The indoor pool and spa is across the street in their sister location. The laundry facilities was broken down. The beds were literally falling out of the bedframe. The carpets were disgusting we ended up checking out after the first night and we had it booked for five days. Oh, and be prepared to be solicited to listen to their time share spiel because that’s what people want to do on vacation is listen to a 90 minute presentation about their timeshare.

This trip was in the off season so it was not crowded. The staff were friendly. The room was nice and large. Parking in the basement garage was a plus. The pools looked inviting but it was too cold for us. Overall, this is a good place to stay.
