Staff was rude and condescending. Refused to let me stay in the room that I paid for. Refused Ada service dog. Management needs to be fired. Absolutely incompetent, unprofessional and unacceptable behavior by manager

I was sincerely impressed with this hotel. The check-in host was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. I love the location as well. There are several restaurants, a Starbucks, a grocery store and drug store within a short walk. I really think this is among the best deals in Scottsdale.

The room was very spacious. The beds were very comfortable. They did a great job keeping the room clean. The buffet breakfast is amazing. The pool is always clean as is the hot tub and both are nice to use.
The staff was always courteous and respectful.
Also in a great location convenient to everything.
I highly recommend it as a place to stay.

Booked our 20th Anniversary 5 night stay and were not disappointed. Our suite was on the 1st floor. The room was clean, quiet and perfect for us. Spacious, air conditioner worked great, kitchenette/dining/sofa/desk was exactly what we wanted. We didn't eat the continental breakfast or use the pool & hot tub, but they were plentiful, good variety and clean. The area around the hotel was safe and easy to navigate. Plenty of free parking too. Our trip was awesome and would definitely book here again!

This is by far my favorite place to stay when Im in town. It's perfect for couples, friends, families,or just a solo getaway. The rooms are big and clean with a kitchen and dishwasher. The beds are comfy. You cant find a better breakfast anywhere ( and its free)! The staff is always super helpful and amicable. I cant think of one negative, highly recommend!

The place was exceptional, the only disappointment was at night TV had a couple of issues which was fixed right away. Should not even mentioned. The breakfast was also fantastic. One incident where no homemade salsa, ran out, delivery truck late. Really can't complain had tobacco, a jalapeño sauce. Was very great breakfast !!! Awesome selection. Server on top of keeping everything nice and full. ( warm ) Pool nice opened earlier( for us earlier raisers ,) 6.00 a.m. ( does have a hot tub ). Husband had muscle aches. Worked out very good. Loved the gym as well. Cycling and tredmill (walking )which was awesome . Temperatures was pretty high outside. Came in handy being inside and with A. C. Being up in age the AC was wonderful able to get some exercise before starting the day as well as getting in some at end of the day . Housekeeping was great as well . If out had a replacement for what ever in no time . 😀

Staff was more concerned with the incidental deposit than with the comfort of the guest. When trying to add an additional day they woke me up to ask for another card to redo paperwork and reissue room cards. While putting things in my vehicle I was locked out of the room with my pocket book and cell phone still inside the room! Will never return if they paid me! Would prefer a refund.

The TV lacked cable. That's the only thing. The Breakfast was outstanding and actually hot . So a big plus, my highlight was meeting a long time Resident Harvey Cox. The Staff was outstanding from check in t check out.

We had a very chill stay at the Sonesta ES suites. It’s a nice laid back atmosphere and everyone was friendly. The room was clean when we arrived, updated, spacious, and had ample desk and table space. The mattress was very firm but surprisingly comfortable to sleep on. My son used the pull out bed and the mattress was not supportive at all, but comfortable enough for a tall teenager to sleep comfortably. The full kitchen was great: everything but a regular oven.
Our only complaints:
1. The tap water would not get colder than lukewarm. We couldn’t take a shower cool enough to cool off or get cold tap water to drink. The full size fridge had an ice maker though so that helped. Maybe most hotels have this problem in AZ when it’s over 90°?
2. We stayed for three nights and room service never once came to even pick up dirty towels or empty trash. We saw them working throughout the day when we were at the pool, but there are no elevators and they never came to our room on the second level. There were magnets to put on the door if you DIDN’T want them to come in, which we didn’t use, but not one to put up if you did want service.
Overall, it is a great value for what you get and I would recommend.

Really disappointed in the thermostat in our room. Locking it at 75 when it didn’t function well in the first place was frustrating. Place was showing signs of wear and not the cleanest. It served the purpose of our visit but was noticeably worse than the last time we stayed there 3 years ago.

Great location near lots of dining and shopping options. Central Scottsdale made it convenient. William at front desk went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The rest of the staff were helpful too. I cannot give 5 stars for 2 reasons though: there is no elevator. Also the back part of property felt unsafe for solo travelers. Everything else was enjoyable, so I do recommend.

I missed breakfast which closed at 9:00 AM, but still the concierge got me some food to eat and the staff turned back on the juice maker and I was allowed to sit in the area they had already close and cleaned. So I felt they went out of their way to take care of me. Thank you staff

This is an excellent smaller property in the heart of central Scottsdale within walking distance to many local amenities and fabulous restaurants. All at a reasonable price in comparison to resorts while still maintaining the views of Camelback Mtn. Very well-maintained property, spacious rooms that have all amenities like a studio apartment. Excellent staff! 1st time there and will recommend to others interested in a great accommodation.

The desk staff was excellent. Beds were comfortable. Both bathroom faucets were extremely difficult to turn on and the water never got hot, barely luke warm. Kitchen water also did not get HOT. Couch was terribly uncomfortable. No control of a/c temp, we were cold when watching TV and had to cover up with a blanket.

The rooms are huge, comfortable, and very clean. The kitchen was fully equipped. Access to the rooms was so easy and there is plenty of parking close to the rooms. The breakfast menu changed each day. The location is perfect for visiting Papago Park and all it's sights. Also easy to get to and from the airport. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Our room was great! Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bedding. Room was clean and quiet. We ate at the breakfast, and it was very good with many options. Pool and hot tub clean. Outdoor grill area was very nice and covered from the AZ sun. We did not use the exercise room. Parking was never a problem and we were always able to park near the entrance to our room. We will definitely stay again.

I have to travel to Arizona often, and this is a reasonably priced option for long-term stays. The staff is delightful. I love the fact that they have a laundry room that's 24 hours. Breakfast is included. They have all sorts of an amenities that you would expect at more expensive hotel chains. The location of this Sonesta is ideal because you're within walking distance to virtually everything you need from groceries to bars and restaurants, to drugstores, etc..

I like the location, amenities, breakfast of the property. The amenities include pool, hot tub, BBQ area, the room includes a full kitchen, full size fridge. Once again this hotel was listed as excellent with a high number. It wasn’t excellent! The room needed renovation! The beds were uncomfortable, The water faucet’s in the bathroom and kitchen weren’t working correctly. The mixer’s were backwards so, the hot water was cold and the cold water was hot. The garbage disposal was broken and the ice maker wasn’t working right. The couch smelled like cat urine.
We have enjoyed using Expedia for our trips recently…but the hotel’s and room’s that we’ve stayed in have not been represented well…Which has been very disappointing!
