Was nit dine properly i drayed from monday to friday and every time except for thursday i had to call to get water , where when they do the room they leave you a feesh one . Same the towels inly had a small towel every day except for thursday where i guess the person who did my room dud it well .

Nice welcoming spa/hotel. Room large with plenty of space and amenities. Use of spa ( not treatments) was a welcome bonus, but you need to be out by 10 am and return after 5pm if you are there for a few days if you have the bed and breakfast package only. If you want to stay all day it will cost £70 including a 3 course dinner. Will stay again in the future 😉

Check in was a little slow. Some staff not responsive to the queue of people waiting to check in, however very friendly when they came. Dinner was not included in my package so I opted for only 1 main course. I was surprised at the cost for 1 risotto and a glass of wine. Food was excellent though. Breakfast selected was superb and very tasty. Would definitely stay again, but may eat elsewhere based on cost alone.

Room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The food was delicious, we had a 3 course dinner and breakfast. The leisure facilities were great and staff were polite and helpful. I would recommend this hotel resort and definitely visit again.

Room 10, you could hear every footstep the people above made due to creaky floor boards, when we changed rooms they had deactivated our old key card so we couldnt get pur things and then not activated the new one. I advised Champneys 3 times that I had booked the 2 nights on seperate bookings so that they could be linked this was never done. Room 38 needs the radiator cleaning and bath panel cleaned/replaced

I don't like the cleanliness of the room is just reasonable standard. The facilities are relatively old. Too much rules during your stay for just simple B&B booking. The environment is good but the staff are just average standard. Luckily I found one lady called Oriel, she is exceptionally helpful and friendly with her professional care and services.

I like the resort environment. Quiet and safe place for relaxation and rest. I don't like the hotel rules and regulations are so many things to be aware to use the facilities, time etc.
Not very nice for customers who want free holidays and simple time to enjoy during the stay.

Room 2 is noisy for the ventilation fan when operating. Flush is a bit heavy buttons. Curtains are quite old and not so unclean.

The communal areas are pleasant and clean.
Unfortunately the bedroom that I was allocated could do with a bit of TLC.
The bath was in need of replacing as it had a brown patch where the white coating had worn away. Not a very pleasant sight. Also I found strands of hair from the previous guest on the tiles and in the bath.
The carpet in the room had stretched and was a trip hazard as it had a lump as you walked in the door.
I had a treatment which I felt was not up to standard. Lesson learnt don’t be frightened to speak up if not happy during the treatment.

We were booked for 2 nights but as we only had b & b was told we neede to leave the hotel between 10am and 5 pm unless I paid another 70.00 (which included lunch) but I just wanted somewhere to stay and work whilst my grandson went to a local college. I cancelled the second night because of this.

Space to truly wind down

The perfect place to switch off. No pressure to dress up for dinner, rest of the day just relaxing in my robe. Only thing that lets it down as day spa guest is the quality of food at lunch, it falls significantly short of both lunch and dinner offerings. Wonderful spacious spa facilities.

Don’t go here if you want luxury it’s over priced and not clean . Rooms so dated , no regulated temperature so we were so hot all night . The senior members of the team are rude, but junior team members lovely . Gym is new but that is it . It deserves to be a 3 star so just expect that through out . Needs a good hoover and a refurb !

The resting area of the SPa was in the swimming pool which was noisy and had a class of aqua aerobics, screaming woman and loud music.
Bedrooms were tired and nee a make over.
Bar was stocked with one lager no beers ciders etc and a small expensive wine list. Dinner was served no mention of coast and what options available. Food was served just luke warm and was cold half way through.

Stayed for one night with work, hotel was nice setting, however the rooms were not comfortable, two single beds pushed together and you could feel this when you moved, there was also an emergency light on in the room all night so it was not dark. The walls of the room were thin and you could hear the other guests alarms going off in the morning!

Okay but needs improvement

The room was a good size and a pet hate is ziplock mattress but still okay. The floor above was wooden and very noisy not correct spec for a hotel. The breakfast for some reason needed to be booked was only from 7-15 am the. Very slow seating you. Okay continental but no danish or rolls. Then you had to order cooked breakfast that took an absolute age to come (25 mins) and when it came. It was a very small breakfast with poor quality sausage (1) very over cooked bacon. Not good.

I find it amazing that a health spa has no sparkling water! Thy had run out of gas. There is no bar (I only drink sparkling water as a preference) so only wines available to others. I followed my sat nav and found myself the wrong end of the cut-in-half lane the hotel is situated in. 8 miles wrong way and hard to turn round. Check, Check, and double check before leaving. They have two postcodes, right one and wrong one.

Great chill out time at Champneys

Visited Champneys spring for a surprise birthday treat for my wife. We were greeted by a great staff, I think her name was Annette, she is a great credit to Champneys. She was able to put us at ease and she had a really brilliant personality, most importantly she was able to tell us all about the activities at Champneys .
The whole experience of Champneys was great, because my wife just wanted some chill time and this experience didn’t fail to deliver. Everything about the experience is good including the food and helpful staff. We especially enjoyed yoga for one of the sessions/classes.
In conclusion, we most definitely will be visiting again in the near future. We had a great deal because we are members of vitality life insurance, which entitles us to have quite a great discount.

The overall stay was OK, but nothing to write home about. Dinner was good, but nothing special. The breakfast was awful as was the coffee. When we arrived we only had 1 towel and 1 mug in our room so had to ask at reception for more. The spa was nice enough, but I've been to plenty of nicer spas at much lower rates. I wouldn't stay here again.

Overpriced for what it was!

They had had an IT outage so a bit frazzled. Got checked in only to find it was standard not the superior room I had paid for. After sorting were escorted to room, but no key. Let us in and promised keys within the hour, so no power until they arrived 15 minutes later.Room very clean and spacious. No water, so it was delivered. Dinner only 6 or 9 pm left so asked for room service menu. Received normal menu and told that was it.Food arrived on time and was excellent. Booked breakfast and it transpired that the \"breakfast included\" at £229 a night excluded anything cooked!!

5pm till 10am doesnt really give enough time to appreciate this complex fully. Used the pool, sauna and jacuzzi and running machine in the gym.
Evening meal was lovely, though pavlova had rather strange consistency meringue which proved chewy.
Breakfast had good variety.
Shame shops closed at 5pm.

On arrival we weren’t given any overall details so looked for the Booklet in the Room which wasn’t there so had to ring Reception for further information that I feel should have been given at check in
The Room was lovely but the Food choices were very poor
Also Tea and coffee drinks arrived just before you had finished eating. You also were not allowed to choose where to sit even though there was spaces and felt extremely cramped in the Restaurant. The overall comfort of the Hotel was very good

Good for a Spa not a great business stay hotel

I wouldn't recommend this as a business stay hotel, breakfast doesn't open til 7.30am and the food is totally geared towards low calorie healthy eating - not a bad thing - but not a lot of choice and you can't unwind with a decent beer as no bar.
Service was exceptionally slow, I had to ask to order at dinner, and at breakfast I had eaten my food before I got my coffee (I had to ask for it twice) same for many of the diners around me.
The spa facilities are great, can't fault them but this is where all their emphasis is.

Our room was very pleasant but my bed was hard and lumpy and the sink in the bathroom didn’t drain. As Champneys is being offered as a hotel stay on Hotels.com, I feel that they should offer meals to cater for people who are not looking to lose weight without charging extra for it both for evening meals and breakfast. I don’t really think it is a hotel stay although the pool and spa facilities are very nice.

I rang in advance to say i would be arriving a couple of hours early and could i use the communal area until the room was ready to send some emails, on arrival i was told the charge would be £55! This was subsequently reduced to £25 and included lunch but this could have been communicated earlier.

The spa was in a peaceful location which was nice. We turned up early by accident - the room booking was for 2 people but the hotel only had it for 1 person. Reception swapped room and let us check in earlier than planned which was nice but they didn’t seem particularly happy with us. Room had a couple of things missing (soap, water etc) but rectified quickly. Also twin beds not a double. Pool was nice but freezing, as was jacuzzi. Breakfast was uninspiring and again at check out when asked about our stay we mentioned things missing from room and we were basically told to be grateful as we were allowed to check in even though we were early. All in all small things but wouldn’t stay here again and glad we didn’t pay full price

Beautiful hotel in beautiful surroundings but staff let the hotel down. Although I explained I hadn't stayed there before, all staff assumed I knew the way the hotel worked. Apparently the prices on the menu in the restaurant is a 'surcharge' but this wasn't explained so a bill I had calculated to £16.00 was now £33.00.

If you want to drop in, meet colleagues and have an informal meeting, this is certainly not for business use, it has a dreadful mobile reception. But its a Spa hotel (that has an odd feel of an airport duty free), so the idea is to relax and take a break from the rush of business and the outside world. Sadly there's no bar, which was disappointing, even the most healthy like to relax and have a glass of wine. I would also advise to read the menu if you're having dinner or breakfast, anything with a price next to it means an extra charge on top of price (which isn't clear), you may just lose more than weight if not careful.

Took us far too long to check in... Firstly saying I didn’t add a guest onto the booking which I did, then again saying I only booked 1 day when I booked 2. They had complimentary drinks on the front desk, but they weren’t offered to us. We were shown our room... I booked a double... 2 single beds pushed together... Ridiculous.
The facilities didn’t live up to their expectation. Jacuzzi had metal bars to sit on, not very comfy... The jacuzzi you see in the pictures... you have to pay £20 to use it. Whilst we are on the subject of money. We don’t have a fridge in our room and wanted ice to go with our drinks... we went down to the restaurant (as there is no bar) and asked them for a bucket of ice... £2.50... For a bucket of ice... that we collected ourselves... Never heard anything like it.
Woken up at 8am by everybody going for breakfast... A full 2 hours of doors banging... Every time I fell back to sleep another door would slam.
On our first morning we were given a letter telling us to check out even though we had an extra night booked... Felt like they were trying to get rid of us and made us feel uncomfortable as this was the 3rd time they’d told us we only had 1 night instead of 2.
There were no signs in our room to hang on the door to say we didn’t want to be disturbed.
Sparking water in our room, no still water.
Very disappointing stay indeed.

This is a great hotel for well being and relaxation. However, for a business party it lacks certain facilities such as good Wi-fi coverage throughout the hotel. The health food is excellent but again does not cater for all guests. The Spa facilities, especially the pool are beyond reproach. Staff are friendly and helpful.

What a disaster of a stay. I checked in and went to my room. It was unmade and dirty. I went back to reception. No apology and was told to come back in half an hour. After an hour I returned and was given the same room. It was still dirty and had not been cleaned from the night before, empty bottle and dirty glasses and an unmade bed. Back to reception AGAIN. Finally a manager got involved and found me a room at 7pm( over 2 hours later) this hotel is dirty and the service is very poor. AVOID. This hotel looks lovely on the pictures but is tired and dirty

great hotel with good facilities for leisure. healthy food only in the restraint so that is a nice change from a burger and chips type menu

Dirty bedding.

The hotel was very good.The room nice and big in inside.. very nice view. But
the room Wasn’t clean Very well When I came back from work. For the standard of the hotel. The bedding was Change for the three days I stayed there The bedding had the red mark on the sheet.But they never changed it..
