Room was very clean with nice furniture and modern shower room, staff fantastic, food amazing.
We were in the room right above the kitchen, so very noisy (though quieted down at a reasonable time).
The bed was very soft (or maybe worn out?), so every time my husband rolled over, the bed sunk in the middle, causing me to roll towards the middle as well.

We choose The Boot Inn to stay overnight as we were meeting family for dinner in nearby Mercia Marina, we were warmly greeted and shown to our room which was as described on website, very comfortable and stylishly designed, breakfast was very much to our liking and the options were plentiful should you need.

Room as expected was of a similar old theme (given the age of the property) and while pleasant, the en-suite bathroom was a little small for my liking. Ambience in the restaurant on the evening was second to none, and while the service itself was excellent, I hadn’t really appreciated that the half board arrangement was a cash allowance rather than an invitation to pick and choose within reason (until it came to pay the next day !) - my bad perhaps, but then again it would have been good to have received a heads-up beforehand. Other than that, it was a really enjoyable stay

We had a lovely stay at The Boot Inn. Spacious and well furnished room with a super comfy bed. Friendly and helpful staff. We had a meal at the restaurant which was 10/10. Only minor issue was the bathroom in the room was really cold, even though there was a small heated towel rail it never really warmed up. Despite this would definitely recommend and hope to stay again if visiting the area in the future.

The room was a reasonable price, just not well thought out re layout. Shower was quite mouldy and the showerhead needed a good descale. It was also a tad noisy as it was almost in the car park.
Service wasn't great - quite slow, and they seemed to be struggling with the 'system' but staff were all pleasant.

Stayed for new year. Restaurant is excellent food really is superb and staff attentive. Things that need improvement no water in rooms, rooms are at very different standards eg one room had nespreso machine other booked room was half the size and no express machine. Also should have dressing gowns etc as it is not a low cost hotel and needs to compete with the competition. All that said would we go again possibly, or more likely stay elsewhere and just go to the restaurant as a guest not a resident.

Had a wonderful stay at The Boot. Comfortable, spacious room and very comfy bed. We had dinner which we would recommend - very interesting menu beyond a normal pub menu. Breakfast was also delicious. Service was excellent. We did a great 4 mile walk from the pub the next morning.

Fantastic stay, just a couple of little niggles

Check in staff were very friendly.. Food at the restaurant was very high quality, room was spotless clean and well appointed. Shame the TV didn’t work (when mentioned to staff it seemed it had been faulty for a while) Comfy bed but was woken early as the curtains let in a lot of light. Despite the little issues I would recommend and would happily return, particularly to the restaurant

The Boot is a very friendly and inviting pub and restaurant. The staff are attentive to your needs and the food is excellent along with a good choice of beers and other drinks.
The accommodation is lovely and all individually designed, giving it an upmarket and more opulent feel compared to many other comparable venues.
You won't be disappointed if you attend here and i would highly recommend a visit.

The Boot Inn was a lovely place to stay. Very comfortable with lovely staff. My only (slightly) negative comments are that the wash hand-basin in the bedroom was tiny and my vegetarian Sunday roast was roasted cauliflower with more cauliflower (and other veg) on the side. And the portions were HUGE!!!

A lovely pub providing great food and accommodation. A very popular pub with nice beer garden in the summer. The restaurant was very busy with the food well presented and very tasty. The cost of drinks and food was reasonable. The accommodation was spotless, very comfortable bed and good quality toiletries. The only downside was the car park was supposed to be for resided after 4.00pm. We arrived about this time but no cars moved out of the car park so we had to park on the road. Not a major problem and would definitely stay again when in the area.

A little Gem a place - really outstanding

Ah, this place is a little gem. The room was brilliant - such a lovely room - really high std. it’s the 2nd time I stayed and it was the same high std.

And the food is just fab. I still can’t get over the chocolate sorbet pud!

So easy for main road networks but still feels very much in the countryside and quiet.

Stayed here as a work trip whilst visiting Alton Towers. Really loved it, food was great, staff were friendly and attentive and the rooms were really clean. My only gripe would be that we had a family room and the two kids beds were just blow up ones, not actual beds. Apparently they didn't sleep that well on them, other than that top notch and would definitely stay again.

Quaint pub like a tardis once inside! Busy, but plenty of staff kept everything flowing and all staff were very friendly and helpful without exception. Food amazing especially the breakfasts which certainly kept us going all day! Parking a little tight, so don't take a big car, but do visit and definitely eat at the Boot!

Very nice pub with rooms. Service is friendly and relaxed. I stayed for two nights during the week and paid £150 total (excluding breakfast and any other extras). I was very happy with the accommodation overall, which, being in a very old building, had exposed oak beams and oozed charm. Nice furnishings and good amenities such as an iron, ironing board, beauty amenity kit including cotton pads, cotton buds and an emery board. Breakfast was extra, but excellent; I opted for the full English on Thursday morning and pancakes, maple syrup and bacon on the Friday, but there are also many lighter options like smashed avocado on toast, homemade granola, toast etc. Would stay again..

An absolute gem, this Inn., with its own micro brewery, has everything to offer. The staff were friendly and helpful, the pub is dog friendly, our room had two dog bowls and a blanket. The room was beautifully furnished and equipped, although the wash basin was amongst the smallest I have ver used - but it did the job.
Dinner was of the highest standard, nudging up to Michelin class. It was a Saturday night and the place was packed with live music, great atmosphere.
Breakfast on Sunday was a bit haphazard, the only thing to mar our visit.

we opted for the delux double room. The bed was huge and very comfy. The room was very modern. The only small drawback was a very tiny handwashing sink, which made it a challenge to brush teeth with a large mirror frame also encroaching over rhe sink. Breakfast service was also a little slower than expected. Overall a good hotel with friendly and helpful staff.

They do not answer the phone

Impossible to contact this property... I tried phoning for several days to notify that I would be arriving a few minutes past the 10:30pm checkin cut off but no one ever answers the phone! Once I arrived there was no one around to let me in.
Thank god there is a Novotel around the corner or I would have been in real trouble.
My advise would be to use the Novotel instead as the price is comparable and you can be certain of no issues.

The size of the room and bed was smaller than anticipated. The location of the room was at the top of the stairs above the bar so very noisy when people come past and all the bar noise. The toilet and taps were really loud and you could hear other people’s bathrooms too.

The room was beautiful and comfortable, the food was excellent - I have never had such a hard choice of many dishes, and the beers and beer choice were terrific. The roast beef may have been a bit expensive but you will rarely have tasted beef like it. Taking into account the quality of the full breakfast, it was one of the most reasonably priced I can remember. There was one problem; we were there during the height of summer so noise through the open window from the patio below us until past closing time was inevitable, but this is one of the prices to pay for staying in a fantastic pub when we did.

Extremely impressed with the hotel. Probably the cleanist hotel throughout I have ever stayed in with such friendly and accomodating staff. The room was beautiful, very well set out and again spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Fantastic value for money and a large menu also resonably priced. I will be booking this hotel as and when I need one in the area and will highly recommend it to anyone I know looking to stay in that area.
All in all I don't think I could praise it enough. Most definately 15 out of 10 all round.

A fabulous stay at The Boot, vary efficient but friendly staff, a beautiful room, very quiet with a super comfy bed and lovely complimentary toiletries. Althought the restaurant was very busy the service was very good, and the food was terrific. Hope to visit again soon.
