Food, staff and on site facilities were all excellent. However, I was in room 35. It has a fixed pane window. There is no way of letting air flow through the room whatsoever. I really don't think this is acceptable under environmental health. There is no air conditioning unit or extractor in this room. A fan is provided, but all this does is move the hot air around. At night, there's no way you can let cooler air into the room whatsoever. It's the same stuffy air, heated up by the sun during the day.

A farm environment has to provide adequate ventilation for animals in sheds/barns. How does a hotel a hotel get away with this for human beings? What about a fire escape?

Lovely, quiet, hotel in a residential area very close to the River Trent. Ample free parking, although the staff will need a note of your vehicle registration.

Our superior king size room was fresh, modern and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. There is an in room kettle, tea, coffee etc as well as a coffee machine with pods

Although we were only there for one night there was plenty of space in the wardrobe and there were also lots of hangers - which makes a refreshing change.

We had Sunday Lunch in the bar which was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. The staff were friendly and chatty, prices were very reasonable.

This hotel also has a small, if a little cool, swimming pool. A sauna, jacuzzi and a sizeable gym. The pool area is very inviting and looks like it was refurbished quite recently.

The only disappointing part of our stay was the breakfast. It’s meant to be cooked to order but the bacon was seriously overcooked (as if it had been sat around for a while and had dried out) and the fried eggs given to my husband were very unappealing - their bottoms were an odd green/black colour.

Overall it was a great one night stay and we’d happily stay here again. It was perfect for the event we were attending, the leisure centre was a real bonus, the staff were lovely and the room was very comfortable. It was also great value for money

Only downside would be maybe some of the soundproofing between rooms especially where there is an adjoining door. Whilst in bed the sound of the light switches in the neighbouring room could be heard.

Have stayed at The Beeches on numerous occasions for the football (U-Reds!). Superb hotel. Room was quiet, spacious and comfortable. Staff, as always, were extremely pleasant and helpful. In fact, on this visit, my wife forgot her reading glasses, and so the manager (I think) very kindly and thoughtfully lent my wife his old glasses for the duration of the stay. Hugely appreciated and typical of the great customer service provided by the hotel staff.

Thoroughly recommended and of course we will stay here again on future visits to Nottingham.

We had booked one night’s stay as we were at a show in Nottingham and this served as a good base to go to the show and see family. First impressions from the roadside were good, car park is free and at the rear of the hotel. You then walk around the front to reception, all on a level. We had the option to check in on line, but we checked in on arrival. Check in was efficient and the lady was really friendly and made sure we had all the information we needed. We were on the first floor (room 1). The lift felt a bit dated but did the job. The room was clean, although some old needed in some areas (especially the paint on the bathroom fittings) good number of plug sockets. Good size tv, although it would benefit from being mounted on a bracket on the wall.
The bed was really comfortable and we both had a good sleep, although the pillowcases were a strange colour. Shower was good, only small amount of showered gel, so best to take your own. We got a drink in the bar after the show, but the door is locked at 10, so you have to go through reception.
Breakfast was good, selection of cereals, orange or apple juice. Selection of teas and filter coffee. Toast/croissants and a buffet style for hot food. The bacon thick and fresh cooked and great scrambled eggs.
Some tlc is needed throughout the hotel, but in all we had a good stay.

The room was great as always, other than the window being unsealed so we could hear outside very clearly.
The ugly: The first night was great, but unfortunately the rooms around us were so loud and drunk on the 2nd night that, after hours of complaining to front desk (and them coming up to ask them to quiet down, repeatedly) we had to move room at nearly 1 in the morning. Staff were apologetic, but it would've been nice if we'd had our room changed earlier so we could get a nights rest, and the staff wouldn't have had to run up and down stairs for hours.
Everything else: Other than the loud neighbours, we can't fault the place. Amazing food, lovely staff and clean facilities. Super comfy beds and all round our favourite place to stay.

We received a warm welcome on arrival. The room was compacted but well presented and clean. Modern shower, ironing board and built in walldrobe. There is car parking at the rear with cameras and spot lights to keep your car secure. We used the swimming pool and sauna during our stay it was great to relax for while!! The breakfast was well presented and catered for special requests ie poached eggs. Overall we would stay here again in the near future. Many thanks. Well done.

Super Staff, friendly, helpful and were interested in why we were staying.
Last September I ruptured my Achilles Tendon, this is still causing problems and the young lady on Reception - who also had a problem with a broken arm - was extremely helpful and we had a discussion with regards to how life is very difficult with limbs that are damaged!
Lovely room - although the shape led to an odd small window and a large wall that gave the impression a window had been removed!
We had a lovely time whilst there, although were unable to use the facilities due to family living close by and important events happening!

Even though I booked a single room it still felt very small considering what I'd been charged and the bathroom was tiny. Bedroom had no window so felt a bit like a prison. Bathroom window had a blind but no blackout curtain, and the bathroom door had a window, so light from outside streamed into bedroom and woke me up earlier than I'd planned. Had to put towel over bathroom door to block out light. Not enough room to hang clothes in wardrobe because there was a fan and an ironing board in the way. Bed was comfortable, had an undisturbed night sleep, however could hear music through the walls or ceiling from around 8, either from other guests or I think the cleaners must have started early. Breakfast was unremarkable, coffee in cafetiere had gone cold, and they'd run out of fruit and hadn't replenished it. No choice of pastries, just croissant. A very nice lady brought me a fresh coffee from the bar.

The room was on a main corridor and overlooked the main road, which was less than 10 metres away. Road noise all night for the 4 nights. No sleep then incosnsiderate guests speaking loudlyas they moved along the coridor late at night. If anyone stays here, make sure you ask for a rooom not overlooking the road. Just wished I had that forethought.

Breakfast buffet was great, restocked regularly, and we were seated quickly.
We had dinner there on our second day, and the pork steak was the best Ive had, as was the chocolate sundae.
The swimming facilities are clean and well lit, and aside from the discomfort of a random man watching me from the sauna the entire time my friend and I were there, it was a pleasant experience. We ended up leaving the pool because of the creeper and didn't go back. Luckily changing rooms are separated by gender so we didn't run into him again.

Rooms are clean and comfy, the bar service is fast and staff are all friendly and have a smile on their faces. This will be our go to stay whenever we're in the area, even after the pool creeper incident

Really disappointing stay. I was expecting a good night’s sleep, but the room was noisy due to constant traffic from the street outside.
Cars passing by throughout the night made it impossible to sleep properly. I was woken at around 4 a.m. and couldn’t get back to sleep at all.

I asked the night staff for earplugs, but they didn’t have any available and it was not possible for me to change the room, because there was no receptionist.
I felt there was no adequate support for the guest.
This lack of service is unworthy of a supposedly “4 Star” hotel.
If rooms are affected by this level of noise, this should be clearly stated in the hotel information, so guests can make an informed decision. After checking other people reviews, I realised noise from the street is a significant problem in this hotel.
I would strongly advise light sleepers to avoid staying here, at least not the room with the street view.

The room was clean when we came but to get to the room is complicated. The rooms location like a maxe up down the step . The day after no one came to clean the room but they dropped clean towel which is quite strange for us. The breakfast just very simple bread tea coffee jam n hot food to order . Not buffet as in the advert. No toothbrush either.. its just very simple R b&b type accomodation. . I stayed at The Beeches for one night in a one Queen Bed room (Room 41), which was quite small. The hotel staff were great and the bed was very comfortable. There was a decent size car park round the back and the hotel was in a nice residential area, so I felt safe leaving my car.

The biggest issue during my stay was the UPVC window which wouldn't close properly, letting in a lot of road noise from Wilford Lane, which has traffic all night, so I am glad I packed some earplugs! The window and its recess were dirty too, with some black mould. The second issue was the TV which had constant picture breakup with a \"Weak or No Signal\" message.

Breakfast at The Beeches was very good with a decent selection of food and the cooked food was good quality. Service was good too, with attentive staff.

However, I don't think this hotel meets the standard of a 4 star property. Some areas of the hotel are old. The lift call button sometimes didn't work to call the lift to the second floor. The decor was a little tired in places.

One final point - there's no bath mat and the shower floor was extremely slippery. Take care when getting in and out of the shower.

Always a pleasure staying at the Beeches hotel. Your Greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean and tidy. I do recommend the king or queen rooms rather than the single and doubles. They are a upgrade and worth it. The gym and pool/sauna are a lovely relaxing treat. The breakfast buffet is worth it. Fills you up for the day. Free parking included. A new surprise from other stays was the location of the hotel, hidden behind the main road estate is a beauiful river and park that provides an relaxing walk away from the busy road. I will continue using beeches as my go to 2nd home when staying in that part of the country. Thanks

Easy to sign in & use the gym, pool & hot tub although the temperature in the pool & hot tub were too cold for me.
Room ok, bed comfy, as described.
A lot of noise from next door banging I assume cupboards & people coming past in the hallway.
Got woken by a family passing by with children early.
Shower nice & hot. They do have notices everywhere to warn of hot water.
Didn’t use the restaurant so can’t comment.

The room was very hot, even with the provided fan but the bed was comfortable.
Kept having to log back in on the internet, which elderly relatives found very tiresome.

Was well priced and convenient for our needs. But a few things did annoy me:

-no hooks in bathroom for hanging towels on
-bathroom was not cleaned one of the days yet we received new towels and bedroom was cleaned
-one of the replacement mugs was dirty
-bin collection at 6am was not appreciated as our room was above the bin area at the back of the hotel
-room 38 was interesting, classed as floor 1 yet in the attic and such a crazy route to get there invoving going up a few stairs, then going down a few stairs and then going up some more stairs to a landing with 3 rooms off it. Was tricky negotiating the route with a large suitcase

The pool and gym are nice and the location also very good. The room was very hot, no air conditioning, bathroom smells cigarette and very tiny. The shower cubicle is so tiny you can barely move. The staff is good and tries to sort the problems and offered free breakfast (which is also nothing special) but I would rather have a better room and pay for my breakfast!
