Yes and Yes. 1 point. As an older person, my head is dropping to bits. I have a single tooth denture. Such thing is quite small. I tend to brush it under a running tap. Had I done this, there would have been a severe danger of it disappearing down the plughole and lost for ever (Cost £250). Because the plug mechanism is missing which leaves the drain hole completely open! (Room 5).

Clearly pumping money into refurbing, as there was a lot of waste outside and smell of paint inside. Has to be done sometime. Pleasant staff and good room especially the shower. All for £46 for a twin. As a contractor working all round the country, if they were all this standard for this price Id be happy.

Happy with our stay

We just had a one night stay to attend an event nearby. The room was very clean, you could smell the cleaning products. Had everything that you needed and we had a good nights sleep. We were already having breakfast at the venue we were going to, but the hotel breakfast did smell lovely when we left.
The only negative was it is in need of a lick of paint.

The hotel rooms are tired looking could do with some tlc. I stayed for 2 weeks as it's the closest to where I was working.

The rooms I stayed in had limited internet strength also the beds were not comfortable as mattress went down in the middle.

We arrived to a poo left in the toilet, which refused to flush until the next day. Adjoining door to next room was locled but could see straight through the key hole. Only noticed when leaving. Beds were so bouncy they were like sleeping on a bouncy castlr!

Nice staff, comfortable bedroom but dated bathroom

There are some good pros of this hotel but unfortunately there is also some room for improvement.

The pros
- The staff are helpful & friendly
- The bed is comfortable and soft
- The towels are soft and fluffy
- The hotel bar is open all night
- The location is good and the car park is pretty big.
- There is a fan in the room
- Nice view of the bowling green from the room (no 10)

The Cons
- The bathroom of room 10 needs completely redoing - the paintwork is a mess, the shower unit is wobbly on the wall, the door only stays shut if you use the lock
- There is a nice tray with biscuits and tea/coffee making facilities but there was only 1 spoon for 2 of us
- Whilst the towels were soft there was only 1 hand towel for 2 of us
- The ironing board was filthy and stained
- The door is thin and has a gap under it which means you can hear everything from every bedroom you walk past
- A complimentary bottle of water was provided but only 1 to share between 2 of us.
- There was a few holes in the net curtain at the window

I didn’t try any food at the venue so I can’t comment on that.

I would probably stay here again but ask for a different room, perhaps in a different part of the hotel to compare quality. This hotel has potential to be really nice with just a
Few small tweaks, attention to detail and some work on the bathrooms.

4 night business trip and as Coalville only has 2 hotels choice was limited. But I can honestly say my stay was very pleasant.
As 3 star hotels go it looked slightly dated but the bed was very comfy, fresh linen and towels every day. Room was a very good size and well stocked with beverages. It was very quiet at night outside and in.
I didnt try the breakfast as I'm not a breakfasty person. Limited staff on duty but those there were very helpful and pleasant.
Overall a nice stay and I would definitely use the Hermitage Park again.

Very happy with my stay

I wasn’t sure what to expect due to mixed reviews. However I had a ground floor room as requested. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and importantly for me the hairdryer was good. The bathroom had a bath with a shower. The overhead shower was powerfully enough and the water was hot. I wasn’t disturbed by noise, it was peaceful. My tv worked. Kettle was clean.
The only downside was my room felt a bit cold. I didn’t ask about the heating, maybe if I had they’d have helped.
Breakfast was amazing. No complaints.

Beds very comfortable and bathroom very clean, staff quite friendly, but clearly not equipped for a bunch of people turning up all at once. Place was a little dated and just needed a few little things to make It more appealing, cellotaped table numbers to cutlery baskets, better ways of doing that surely. Also no hash browns for breakfast. Gutted.

Although my room was looking a bit tired, it was clean, warm and very comfortable. Unfortunately there was no evening meal option due to the kitchen being closed in the evenings but we were informed of this upon check in. We were also told that if we fancied a delivery meal they could set up a table for us with plates and cutlery but we decided to take a short walk out to the town centre. The breakfast was tasty and hot with plenty of choices available. Would I book again? Yes, definitely.

Lovely Hotel and very good value for money

Check-in was very quick our rooms were ready on arrival. The room was clean and adequate for my requirements, I cannot fault it. The full English breakfast was very good, and oh my gosh the staffs are so friendly it’s unbelievable. I would definitely stay there again.. PS. parking is free

The rooms are a bit dated but were spotless. Our room was tended to and new towels provided without us having to ask. Big bed and was really comfy which was a big plus!
We stayed for a friends wedding and the food was simply brilliant.

I can’t say anything against our stay at all. It was fab from start to finish

Great stay

We were attending a birthday party in Ibstock Leicestershire, and the Hotel was very convenient to both Coalville and Ibstock.
The receptionist on our arrival was very pleasant and welcoming along with the night porter and the young lady in the morning on Breakfast duty.

We will stay there again. Good value for money.

Clean and good service, just a bit tired

Clean, friendly & good service. Good parking. Decor is a bit tired, and the room was pretty basic, but otherwise fine. Restaurant not open Fri-Sun but there's a good Turkish restaurant and an Indian Tapas restaurant in town. Try the micro brewery pub, nothing flash, just good beer & cider. Easy walk into town from the hotel (10 mins). Give the 'Biker pub' over the road a miss, it was crud!

Have used the Hermitage Park Hotel for several years, and it's defnitely showing the wear and tear.

Paid Breakfast is very lacklustre, Saturday I belive the chef was late in so food was delayed coming out, and by the time those ahead of me had picked up their food, I had to wait for refills to appear. Sunday was much the same, though the food was on time, there was not enough ready at once for all present. Monday I provided my own breakfast. Items advertised such as Fried Eggs and Hash Browns were missing both days.

Rooms are very dated, no USB points or Aircon.
Bathroom is very cramped together, I bashed my elbow on the glass shower guard when opening the b-room door. Also, said door locks from the outside, which is confusing and concerning. Wifi is patchy at best.

Documentation in room & on website is currently out of date. Sunday dinner was offered in restaurant, but checking with reception this is only once a month and not the Sunday I was there.

Staff are friendly enough, but on departure sole receptionist was taking a work call, and neglected to ask about my stay or any questions other than did I need a receipt.

I've been using this hotel for convenience as it's within walking distance of venue for the event I was attending. Appreciate that it's 3*, but may have to look elsewhere as it's now feeling not too far off 2*.

Looking old but still good value.

Hotel is looking slightly old. I remember it being built back in early 90’s. Rooms were very hot. Didn’t sleep well. Comfortable though with soft bed.

Hermitage park hotel Coalville Leicester

We were very impressed with the hotel as a whole and the price we paid for the room, which was very pleasant and had a nice view. There was no noise from traffic either so very satisfied.

Issue at the start but lovely breakfast

Arrival - arrived at the hotel and gave my name, signed the document with my car reg and given room key. Went to room and took a shower to then get a phone call telling me to come down to the desk - they’d given me the wrong room and made me feel like it was my fault. I gave them my name when I arrived so no, it wasn’t my fault.
Room - the room was ok, a typical basic room. Coffee and kettle, biscuit, Wi-Fi was too weak to connect.
Nights sleep was comfortable
Breakfast - this was lovely. Selection of cereals, yogurt, and a full English breakfast order taken at the table. The lady working the breakfast time was very kind and polite.

Staff not around to help, have to find them

Very difficult to get into the hotel as i arrived around 10pm. Breakfast not good service as have to go to the kitchen door to get someone to serve. Also key card kept failing so had to keep going to the kitchen to get someone out to help me as no one in reception.
Room quite old fashioned, but clean and fairly comfortable. Paid on arrival but could not be given a full receipt until check out otherwise my room would be kicked off the system. Hotel seemed very empty.
Asked to borrow a hair dryer, it seemed so old, and had not got a PAT testing sticker on it. Was worried my hair would get stuck in it. Bring own hairdryer if you can

I have stayed here quite a few times now but on this occasion the room was cold although the radiator was on full it wasn’t even warm and I went to have a shower but was only cold water. I rang reception who switched it on but I had to wait for the water/heating which wasn’t what I would normally expect from this hotel

Pretty good for the money, would stay again.

Overall the place is clean. The lady I originally seen at check in was very pleasant and welcoming.
Room clean and tidy, comfortable and a good size, bit dated now, toilet took serval pumps of the flush to work.
First impressions walking into the hotel, it's like walking into an old gentlemans club, twin doors, low roof, and wood panels on a bar on the right as you go in.
Food menu, good fair prices, mainly everything comes with peas and chips.
Breakfast is pretty good, full English offered, seemed to be lacking baked beans, no hash browns or black pudding.
You get mushroom, bacon, egg, sausage, half a tomato, and toast. Still good but you need baked beans I think.
Overall, clean, nice and pretty good for the location I required for work. Close to other shops and take out places, not far to motorway.
Would stay again, fairly decent bed and room size.
Did seem rather quiet, don't think many people where staying here.

The net curtains needed a good wash very dirty looking also the main curtains were hanging down in places not on the curtain rail looked very neglected.
