The room was great as were the staff. But the bedside lights not working, having to move furniture to get to the switch for the TV was not good.
They have always had a limited menu which could do with expanding but the worst thing was the buffet hot breakfast. Only scrambled eggs, not good, the rest was not hot. The fried bread was OK.
Such a shame as the breakfast was one of the highlights of my last stay. Apparently they put on the buffet when they are busy but I don't think being busy should be an excuse for such a shabby effort.
Before I book again I will check if they have changed this policy.

Staff are very good, lots of good food places nearby. Rooms are of a good size. Only downside I noticed was that the pillows and duvet definitely need changing. The hotel location is very convenient for Derby , Nottingham and Leicester. Of course I would book again.

Front of house looks quite good when you arrive, with friendly staff but everthing else from room cleanliness, to working electrics in the room, to choice and quality of breakfast, definetely needs some TLC. However, it was a good price and has free parking so, for what I needed (3 nights solo accomodation whilst helping my son do some DIY on his house) it was adequate.

The room was in good condition, but there were a few issues. 1) there was a smell eminating from the toilet 2) the bedside light worked intermittently, 3) the heating controls were hard to decipher and there were no instructions.

Very friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms. Menu for dinner was OK, not extensive but enough choice and the lasagne was brilliant.
Free parking and even EV chargers if you have an electric car.
Nothing bad to stay and far better experience than the last hotel I stayed at in the area which was a major chain.

Recent 2 night stay the hotel is very dated and we upgraded to a better room it certainly didn’t feel like a upgrade the room was very dated the French door onto balcony wouldn’t shut properly the bed was like laying on a brick wall very uncomfortable and heavily stained and for £200 for 2 nights was very expensive when for cheaper could of stayed at premier inn and I know them rooms are more comfortable than what we had we won’t return to stay there again when we do Donington park weekend

The hotel looks very tired,needs refurbishment. There is a notice informing people that there is a problem with the hot water. It takes 15/20 minutes to get hot water in room 11. Bed was very comfy and clean but the decor needs updating also the bathroom. (Black mould around the tileing)staff were very helpful and friendly. Would i stay again only as a last resort

Very noisy as is on flight path to East Midlands airport. There’s cargo planes landing about every 45 mins all night long. If you are a light sleeper this isn’t for you. Rooms are fine and bed was comfortable.
However we were leaving early and tried to have a shower but no hot water. When we checked out mentioned this to reception where the guy just pointed at a sign saying “run taps and shower for ten minutes” this was never pointed out to us at check in and this information really should have been put in the rooms.

When we checked out mentioned this to reception where the guy just pointed at a sign saying “run taps and shower for ten minutes” this was never pointed out to us at check in and this information really should have been put in the rooms.

The bathroom, bed, bed linen and towels were clean and comfy and there was a kettle for tea and coffee and a reasonable tv that worked well. Unfortunately, the side table lights didn’t work and the air conditioning unit in the bathroom was constantly on and very noisy.

We just needed a bed for 4 nights so as such it was ok. BUT: there is very little sound proofing between rooms, the decor is tired to say the least, neither of the bedside lights (and therefore sockets) were working, the curtains were insufficient to block out light, no extractor fan in the bathroom so everything was soaking after a shower, shower curtain sticks to you, shower head very clogged. On the plus side the reception staff were nice. We didn't use any of the other facilities.

Went to watch the superbikes in donington park and staff were very friendly allowing me to park my bike next to the main door and the hotel even brings breakfast times forward to ensure you can eat and get to the track for opening time.
