Despite no option to ask for a double, we were allocated a twin, which the reception staff then tried to say was my fault for not specifying. The room in the West Wing was cold, and despite raising the temperature, this did nothing to heat the room. The food quality in the Brasserie was average and not up to 4* standards. Breakfast options were satisfactory, and only one coffee machine was provided with extremely long queues of more than 15 mins. This is totally unacceptable for an establishment marketing themselves as a luxury experience. All in all, I am rating Crewe Hall as poor, and warrants a 3* rating at best, when compared to other establishments I have stayed in locally such as De Vere Cranage, Weetwood Hall and others. I would not recommend others to stay here but to stay at the above mentioned alternatives

A pleasant stay on Christmas Night. We arrived late and were welcomed efficiently and given clear directions to our room.
When we arrived the room was 28C - so the A/C had clearly been running at this temp since it was serviced earlier in the day. It was pretty efficient at cooling the room down once we adjusted the temperature.
The curtains couldn’t be closed, so i found myself stood on a chair repairing these (an issue with the rail & hooks) before we went to bed.
The breakfast service was busy and staff were struggling to keep tables & crockery refreshed - but the food was good and there remained plenty of choice.
The pool was quiet given the number of people staying and we were able to enjoy use of this before heading home.
I would recommend to others but it could do with a little more attention to detail to really make the most of what is a wonderful setting.

Highly recommended we had an excellent overnight stay at the stunning Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa. Good choice of bars and great choice of breakfast. What puts this hotel above the rest are the staff who made us feel welcome and were all friendly and attentive. The room was beautiful in the old part of the hotel. Dinner in bistro ok, but coffee not available and brandy served in water glasses when I asked for brandy balloons it was brought back in tumbles the poor waiter had no idea what a brandy balloon was the bar manager said only to be used on special occasions but failed to come to the table to explain to us. For a hotel of your calibre it falls a little short.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crewe Hall Hotel and would happily return again if we have reason to stay near Crewe in the future. The building and grounds are impressive and there's plenty of parking. The buffet breakfast was very good and thanks largely to a wedding reception taking place at the same time as our stay, we were upgraded at no additional cost to a lovely room in the main building.

Crewe Hall is absolutely stunning — the grounds and historic architecture are breathtaking, and the whole place has such a romantic, luxurious vibe. The staff were polite and helpful, and the atmosphere felt really special, perfect for a weekend getaway.
The only downside was that we were allocated a disabled-access room, which felt a little unusual given that we hadn’t requested one. While it was spacious and clean, some of the features (like the bathroom setup) didn’t feel quite as comfortable or luxurious as we would have expected for a standard room. It didn’t ruin our stay by any means, but it was a bit of a surprise. Had to pay extra for a different room type, but I am glad we did because the upgraded room was in the main building and beautiful.
Overall, it’s a gorgeous venue with so much character — just maybe worth double-checking the room type

During our 3 weeks visit to the UK we visited of 25 historic homes and gardens. This was our only opportunity to actually stay in one. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Not only did we stay at a historic site but one that had modern facilities and amenities also. Couldn’t have been better. The staff was great too.

A beautiful venue with great amenities, taken advantage of the gym and spa area as well as the bar. Great night sleep and perfect for proximity to a wedding i attended. Did have an issue with the key cards needing to be reset , but this was minor and didnt create any issue. Breakfast buffet was really top notch too.

My name is Rob Stanford and I stayed at your hotel the 24th of May until Monday 26th of May.
You have a lovely premises, but you’re really let down by your maintenance team. My partner and I went for drinks in the bar and the amount of lightbulbs out showed a real lack of care. There was loads of lightbulbs also out in the pool area.
Breakfast in the brasserie is not a great success. Eggs needs to be cooked more to order as they was hard as bullets but the real concern is the lack of control from management. No one was directing staff what to do,where to clean and what to tidy up. I know we came down for breakfast quite late on the Monday but to have an 81-year-old man doing all the cleaning and tidying up while all the rest of the staff stood around pretending to do nothing. It’s not on. People are having to queue to get clean mugs, tables littered with debris and managers wandering doing nothing but pretending to be working hard.

My name is Rob Stanford and I stayed at your hotel the 24th of May until Monday 26th of May.
You have a lovely premises, but you’re really let down by your maintenance team. My partner and I went for drinks in the bar and the amount of lightbulbs out showed a real lack of care. There was loads of lightbulbs also out in the pool area.
Breakfast in the brasserie is not a great success. Eggs needs to be cooked more to order as they was hard as bullets but the real concern is the lack of control from management. No one was directing staff what to do,where to clean and what to tidy up. I know we came down for breakfast quite late on the Monday but to have an 81-year-old man doing all the cleaning and tidying up while all the rest of the staff stood around pretending to do nothing. It’s not on. People are having to queue to get clean mugs, tables littered with debris and managers wandering doing nothing but pretending to be working hard.

Had a great stay at Crewe Hall to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Sage were lovely, even upgrading us to a better room with four poster as a recognition of our anniversary.
Food was great, champagne bar was lovely and the sun even shone so we could enjoy outdoor seating whilst waiting for our room to be ready.

Our toilet seat was broken, but I didn't mention it to staff as it was only one night and we were moved to that room last minute as I couldn't access the other room so I assumed that was why. I'm confident they'd have moved us or fixed it if we said something though, they were a very good hotel.

The venue is in a beautiful historic building. The facilities are great including a pool with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.
The rooms had massive comfy beds and were cleaned daily with plenty of towels and extra tea, coffee and biscuits.
