Doing an event in Bedford so stayed the night before. Very convenient location close to Bedford, very clean and excellent value for money. Staff were efficient and friendly. Even though there was a wedding with an evening DJ we had a room at the back of the hotel and were not disturbed by the disco. Great pub less than 10 minute walk away.

Shower was warm with good pressure, our only concern was the floor tiles got very slippery when wet, care had to be taken!

I feel disappointed with my stay as my basic room (advertised as budget room at other sites) I got. I had to move out of it due to a water leak in the building. The room that I was offered instead (after some persuasion with a member of staff) was nowhere near I asked for during the booking. It was far to close to the kitchen area, so noises of cooking/washing up was from 7AM till very late at night. Because the stand of the fan in my room was broken, I had to have the window open during the hottest days of the year yet.
I decided to move out sooner than booked for, despite being paid.
The only reason I'm not giving lower ratings is the quality of breakfast and lunch options.

Me and my partner stayed here last weekend for 2 nights when we checked in we were greeted by Dan who is an amazing young man and should be definitely promoted to management , we were early but he checked to see if our room was ready for us, we went to the bar for lunch and he went to the kitchen to see what they didn’t have on menu to let us know, he was extremely friendly and was up for the laugh. That evening we ate in the restaurant followed by a few drinks in the bar, we were served by the manager bijay who was also very friendly and chatty, the breakfast was lovely everyday and staff were amazing , we will 1000% return here again in future.

A lovely property set in rural Bedfordshire. I arrived and checked in with ease and the staff are very friendly, polite and welcoming. Went to the bar, had food and drink and all was excellent tasting, and served in a good time.

Secluded, peaceful, edge of village, a stone's throw from Bedford and only a mile off the A6. Would definitely recommend, and I'd stay there again (always the best review in my opinion!)

Whilst the hotel is a lovely building in nice grounds, the corridors to the room were extremely cold. Unfortunately so was the bedroom. There was no heating on. I used the plug in heater supplied to warm the room and it did, after 6hrs and time to wake up. I do not expect to have to use a hairdryer to warm the bedroom to get to sleep.

Things one should know: no elevator. You'll be hauling your bags up stairs...and upstairs... and then down to get to your room. On this visit we skipped the breakfast but we had it previously and it was wonderful. My brother-in-law booked an afternoon tea with us there last week. Maybe they were just too busy due to a wedding. They dropped the tea and goodies and never checked back. Our visit last week.... we had a clean room. This stay however: crumbs and a bobby pin on the floor and some remaining water in the kettle so it did not feel like a clean room. No air conditioning there either and one of the two windows was evidently broken because they put screws in the corners so that it could not be opened. It was a quiet place to sleep. The beds were not comfy but ok.

Woodland Manor night away
We stayed at the Woodland Manor for one night. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with the friendliest team of receptionists. Our room had great facilities and more than comfortable for a one night stay. A fire door alarm went off within the middle of the night however once again the team in reception were superb and quick to resolve the issue. Great stay, would definitely recommend if staying in Clapham or the wider Bedford area.

Poor customer service, got back one night no car dpaces had to wait gor one to appear then the Thursday night you had a school prom, which took me over half an hour to get from the main rd to the rear car park where there was only one space, plus music on till 11pm then the staff banging about putting stuff away till after midnight, the least you could have done was inform guest about this event

We have stayed at the woodland manor a few times now. The building itself is gorgeous, and has ample parking.
The issue we have is the beds and the bedding. Some of the beds (room 15 for example) need to be replaced urgently as they are simply broken.

The Woodland Manor Hotel is set in beautiful grounds. Staff at reception were friendly. Our room was clean and spacious with both Bath and Shower. Unfortunately, there was no full length mirror and the Hot water tap needed a note of caution. It ran very hot.

I looked at the pictures and for some reason expected the hotel to be in a more work state but I am glad to say I was wrong. Yes you can tell it’s used but it was not shoddy and immaculately clean.
It did seem to be run on a skeleton staff, however this did not detract from the service. The member of staff that greeted me and waited on me during my meal was an absolute delight and there are many who could learn from his customer service skills. I can’t recall his name unfortunately but he was from Nepal, and he could not have been more pleasant or welcoming. He is an absolute asset the this hotel.

I have stayed here a number of times, so in general the hotel is not bad. However on this occasion I stayed in room 11 and the bed was like a slab of concrete. I will avoid staying again if I can. If I cannot I will refuse to stay in room 11.

We picked the Manor as one of the few available hotels for our stay. We were happy. We got notified the day before arrival that there was an event happening which might be noisy - it wasn’t too bad. We had a lovely stay at Woodland Manor. We booked a suite and we’re given the signature suite which was huge and had patio doors out into the garden. Although it was the warmest weekend of the year, the room was lovely and cool (it had a fan for back up) All the staff we met were warm and courteous, nothing was too much trouble.

Unfortunately our trip coincided with a wedding. We needed lunch quickly to get to a function elsewhere ourselves. Two salads should not have taken nearly an hour. Also the food was of a very poor standard so we didn’t bother turning up for breakfast the next day. As a man old building we certainly missed having air con on the hottest night of the year. Room was comfortable but bathroom was cramped and body wash/shampoo etc could only be reached if showering, not from the bath.
