Location is fantastic! Being steps from the beach and with direct access to the boardwalk was such a plus. The staff was helpful and the property was well maintained. The views were stunning as well! Would like to come back again next summer.

The best feature of this stay was the ocean view and location. While parking is included it can be scarce and then you are offered to park on the street if their lot is full. Where you have to wake up early enough so that you are not ticketed. The hotel itself could use many renovations. Stayed on 4th floor and multiple lights were out in the hall way. Also the hallway is partially outside like a motel. The room was dusty and tv was old (not a smart tv) luckily the wifi does work if you bring your own devices. All in all with such great location this could be a really nice hotel if upgraded.

We had a very nice stay at this beachfront hotel. The location was excellent, with easy access to the beach and beautiful views. The room was clean, comfortable, and the staff was friendly throughout our visit.
My only complaint is the breakfast situation. There wasn’t a full breakfast offered—just coffee and muffins. Unfortunately, on the morning we stayed, the coffee machine wasn’t working, which was disappointing.
Overall, it was still a pleasant stay, and I would consider returning because of the great location and comfortable accommodations.

Walking into the room, I immediately noticed multiple flies in the room. The floor was sticky, the AC was dirty, the curtains were dirty, the towel rack was moldy, and the soap dish was full of hair and residue. I don’t know anyone who would want to continue staying at an hotel after this was the first 5 minutes. The manager offered “lite cleaning and lite extermination”, have you ever heard of such a thing? I was refused a refund and left anyway, that’s how bad it was. Besides all that, the entire property is dated and lacks any character. Do yourself a favor and book the Hilton 3 minutes away at Rehobeth Ave & Second St.

We had a great stay. Was worried from some of the reviews we read online but took a chance and glad we did. Staff was helpful and friendly from check in. Parking was on site and easy. Room was clean and well maintained and we even had a partial ocean view even though I didn’t select that option. Location was great. Right on the boardwalk and a short 6 minute walk down to Rehobeth drive.

Overall excellent, there is some minor repairs that need to be done that are usually addressed in a routine maintance plan. Specifically the screen door and a few loose wall outlets.

Quiet, and great beach location being the last hotel on the boardwalk. See you. Not too far from all the things on the main Street, but you're away from the crowds that the main Street attracts

The staff is very nice. The hotel is clean. The best amenity is that you’re right on the beach. The room is quite normal. We did have to go downstairs and request more basic items that would usually be in the room like bar soap.

We had a suite on the 3rd floor for the 5 of us. 3 kids in one room with a double bed and pull out couch. Other room had a queen bed with the 1 bathroom. Nothing fancy but was good enough for 3 nights. Cleaners only come when requested, but that was fine as we just got towels as needed. Parking was tight for my SUV with limited spots. No pool but right on the beach. Location was decent with the hotel not in a crazy busy area, but at the end of the boardwalk. About a 10 minute walk to the more popular part of the boardwalk.

This hotel is in a great location; it is on the boardwalk, but it is away from the busiest area. There are many restaurants within walking distance on the boardwalk and in town. The hotel has a parking garage, which is fabulous! It keeps your vehicle cool and out of any rain, which was helpful since we had our bikes on our SUV, and it did rain. Our room was adequate for our needs; nothing fancy, but it was clean and had amenities, like a mini refrigerator and a microwave. The bed was comfortable, and the linens were fresh. The staff is friendly and courteous. They also have a changing room with a shower, which we took advantage of since we had checked out but spent the day on the beach. All in all, this is a wonderful hotel! We enjoy staying at the Henlopen Oceanfront Hotel and look forward to returning on our next visit to Rehoboth!

I get that people are in there to have fun enjoy yourself but when me and my wife are in the heaven, some fun between adults and then we get a knock at our door to tell us we’re making too much noise. That’s crazy when you pay almost 400 a night for room.

We went for quick 2 day getaway room 705 and I have to say for 350 a night it was not what I expected. We stayed on the 7th floor it smells so horrible when getting off elevator. Our room had black hair in the bathroom. The air conditioning was so loud we could not sleep. We could feel the springs on the bed. Toilet has yellow stains they need to change the cover. Not worth 350 a night!

I really enjoyed this place. This was my first going to Rehoboth to begin with so being right on the beach was amazing! The room was clean, spacious, it came with a full body mirror, mini fridge, hair dryer, microwave, tea/coffee, laundry accessories. stayed at the Henlopen at the start of June in the middle of the week. weekends and deeper into summer may be quite different for price & crowds.
1st things 1st: no gym. No pool. No beach items. Don’t ask. No pets.
The hallway is open to the elements, makes a difference during the cold & hot months. For when we went, though, it was great. Cool breezes. The views will be blocked on the first three or so room floors by the building next to the hotel, FYI.

You cannot beat the location of this hotel. Close enough walk to the main Rehoboth strip but far enough away that the beach is more secluded and the beach itself is well maintained. Rooms were clean and staff were friendly and helpful. This was our first stay, but we will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Location, and we rented an Ocean Front Apartment, so that was the best part of our stay at the Henelopen. There was a delayed check-in due to the cleaning staff; we had to call to request clean towels everyday; there was no room service (trash, towels, sweeping,...) the entire stay; and the area directly outside of our door was quite filthy the entire 4 days of our stay (as was most of the hallway on the entire 4th floor). I would rate the overall stay as a 3 out of 5. They can do much better for the price customers pay to stay.

The best part of this hotel is the fact that it is right on the boardwalk (easy access to the beach and to the surrounding area). The room we had was a bit too exposed to the rest of the hotel. Didn’t like how half the hotel could look right into our room, so we had to keep the curtains closed most of the time to have any sense of privacy.
The air conditioner blows right over the bed and there is no way to guide the flow of air. You have to have it on if you want to be cool, but having it blow across the bed will either freeze you or cause dry sinuses by morning.

We put the towels on the floor as the sign directed to get fresh towels and washcloths..did not receive them..saw cleaning staff and asked for towels and washcloths..was given a stack of towels and hand towels but no washcloths. This is the second time that we stayed here in an ocean front room and everything was excellent both times. We had a really great view from our balcony and it was very quiet. Other than that the beach and boardwalk is less than 100 yards from the elevators and there was plenty of onsite parking. A lot of reviews mention tight parking spots which had me a bit concerned but we found that is not the case. The spaces are plenty wide.

The staff were very nice and friendly. But the floor in the room was not vacuumed so I was walking om beach sand. I was not told that the maid service had to be requested so I had to call for the floor be cleaned and for fresh towels. My suggestion is that the desk staff informed your guest that they need to ask for the maid service.

Beware the eight floor is an event/wedding venue. There was extremely loud music and bass playing well past ten o’clock at night. It was so loud we couldn’t sleep. When I called to ask when the wedding would be over the front desk said they didn’t know but that at least they had already seen some guests leave. That certainly didn’t help with the noise. I asked for the manager, Izzy, to call me the next day. He never did. Go somewhere else where you will be able to get sleep!
