I had a wonderful stay at Mauad Hotel in Santo Domingo. The hotel has a great atmosphere, very comfortable rooms, and an excellent location to enjoy the city. What really made the difference during my stay was the exceptional service from the staff. A special thanks to Baez and Milan, who were incredibly helpful, friendly, and always available to assist with anything I needed. Their professionalism and warm attitude truly made me feel welcome and taken care of.
Customer service like this makes a stay memorable, and thanks to them my experience at the hotel was even better than expected. Loved the breakfast with the view at Carmela restaurant!
I would definitely recommend Mauad Hotel to anyone visiting Santo Domingo and I look forward to coming back.

Nos gusto mucho el hotel, el desayuno muy rico a excepción de los jugos, las habitaciones muy limpias sin embargo la música de la discoteca se escuchaba hasta la 1 de la madrugada, el staff muy atento y amable pero al momento de nuestro check in el staff estuvo discutiendo frente nuestra lo cual recomendaría hacerlo en momento y lugares que los huéspedes no los vean.

En resumen nos gusto mucho la experiencia, no obstante, deben mejorar rn algunas áreas.

Nuestra estadia fue magnifica. Desde que llegamos nos recibio Baez, muy amable, al igual que el personal en recepcion. La habitacion fue grandiosa, muy limpio todo y con sus amenidades, y una vista de la cuidad y el mar de ensueño. La gerente Laura Jimenez fue increible, mas alla de lo esperado y super profesional y atenta. El restaurante es excelente y el trato de sus empleados, Andrea en el desayuno, una persona muy dulce y amable, y en la noche nos atendio muy bien Tommy. La comida suuuper buena. Agradezco a todos por sus atenciones. Definitivamente lo recomiendo y volvere de seguro.

Muy buena localización y vista espectacular, Ocean View. Siempre estuvo limpio. El personal fue muy amable y servicial. Hay seguridad en el hotel. Los cuartos son grandes y espaciosos. A la habitación le hacía falta una silla ya que solo posee las camas y el gavetero. Además, hacía falta algo para colocar la maleta y no tenerla que poner sobre la cama siempre.

El baño es muy espacioso. La ducha muy buena. Sin embargo, el lavamanos carecía de espacio para colocar los productos de higiene tales como cepillo de dientes, pasta dental, scrubs, cremas, entre otros, que nos gusta tener justo al lado cuando se utilizan.

En general, fue muy buena estadía en el Malecón de Santo Domingo.

Suite 1001 with the ocean view and bathtub, INCREDIBLE view, tub experience is great, very spacious room, beds are comfortable and breakfast is healthy BUT Few things I’d say they need to work on.

1. when it rains the water filters through the concrete ceiling near the window causing even potential hazard since the electrical outlet gets saturated by the water.
2. electrical plugs aren’t close to bed making it a little hard to place your phone near you when charging or at least in places where it’s not reasonable to get to
3. Not much on amenities like a clothe iron, just water on the fridge with not much selection to choose from. Almost like a Airbnb where you would have to come prepared with your own items
4. Parking indoors is super tight so you have to squeeze between cars so much so it becomes hard to open the door. Have to strategize to park well
5. Employee barged in the room at 3 am in the morning uninvited assuming it was empty without confirming with the front desk or knocking. Guy apologized but communication is needed.

6. Room service, has yet to be established and ongoing construction is still taking place

Other than that still was an amazing experience overall

**Title: Beautiful Lobby, But Felt Like Sleeping in a Nightclub**

We had high hopes when we booked Mauad Hotel — it’s new, the lobby is gorgeous, and the service at check-in was excellent. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended.

The rooms were a major disappointment and didn’t match the upscale look of the lobby. Furniture felt low-quality, and simple amenities like bathrobes, slippers, and proper toiletries were missing. Even the air freshener was overpowering, and there were no plugs in the bathroom for a hair dryer.

We have stayed at dozens of hotels in Santo Domingo and many more internationally, and we have *never* experienced anything like this.

Our biggest issue — the noise. We were traveling with our two young daughters, and both nights we stayed, the bass and music were unbelievably loud. The first night we didn’t realize it was coming from the hotel, but the second night we complained around 9pm. We were told a private rooftop party would finish by 12:30am. After 1am, it only got worse. We changed rooms multiple times (from the 11th floor to the 9th, and later again down the hall), but the music continued — eventually coming from the hotel’s own disco. It was after 3am before we found a room that was only *slightly* quieter.

The staff did try to help by moving us, but nothing truly resolved the problem. If you want to stay inside a nightclub, this is it.

My recent stay at the Mauad Hotel Boutique was genuinely exciting! You can tell this place is brand new and super stylish—it's got tons of potential and a modern luxury vibe. The hospitality was genuine right from the start; the Front Desk staff during check-in were seriously outstanding, setting a world-class standard for warmth and efficiency. They deserve major praise!

The hotel feels really fresh, but you can see they're still putting on the final touches while construction wraps up. The only little letdown was the check-out staff, who weren't as friendly as the crew when I arrived.

Honestly, the few things they missed in the rooms are so simple to fix, which is awesome because it means quick improvements are ahead. They just need a few basic things to make the rooms five-star: a full-length mirror, a hook for towels in the bathroom, a proper electrical outlet near the vanity, a small shelf to act as a nightstand on either side of the beds, and a bench or suitcase rack at the foot of each bed.

The true star of the show is the speakeasy club, La Biblioteca. It's nothing short of amazing—it’s super trendy, upscale, and beautifully designed. The vibe for a high-end night out is perfect.

I stayed at Hotel Mauad from Nov 19–23 and had a very positive experience. The property is beautiful, modern, and still very new. The lobby is stunning, the rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, and the staff were consistently friendly, bilingual, and genuinely welcoming.

There are some areas that could be improved as the hotel finishes opening: hallways are noisy with rolling luggage, the bathroom sink/outlet setup is awkward, and the room could use more furniture. The nightclub’s shared entrance creates crowding during peak hours.

Still, the staff, especially Mr. Báez, made my stay exceptional. With a few refinements, this hotel has real potential to become a top choice in Santo Domingo.

The hotel was very nice, its not completely open and its missing some details but it was very good. The staff was excellent. My suite was missing some details like night table with lamp, more lighting in the bathroom mirror, a mirror outside the bathroom, us womens need a mirror☺️. Even with all the details missing it was a good experience. I would definitely go back.

Hello,

I am requesting a refund for our recent stay, as the hotel was clearly not ready to open and the experience was far below expectations. We encountered multiple issues during our stay, including:
•Cold shower with no hot water
•AC not working
•Lack of beverages and several food items
•Loud music throughout the night, which made it difficult to sleep
•Overall unpreparedness of the property

This was especially disappointing because we were there to celebrate our cousin’s wedding, and these issues significantly impacted our stay.

The property it’s beautiful. Don Luis & the front desk staff, cooking/cleaning staff go above & beyond to provide top notch service. The rooms are designed to have a quick stay in for a night while traveling. Breakfast it’s good, comfy bed, AC it’s great, water doesn’t get completely hot & does not have much pressure but im fine on that. Hopefully they’ll be able to add internet/wifi coverage to all rooms, I enjoyed getting work done on their roof.

It's a gem! With a swimming pool in the courtyard, a restaurant upfront, next to the city's main thoroughfare yet quiet, not far from the historic center and some wonderful neighborhood restaurants. The room I got was a bit tight and windowless but cute, great bed, extraordinary bathroom. No complains. I'd do it again.

My only advice to management is to try to invest in improving noise cancellation. Better noise cancellation room doors and placing a hallway rug, will improve privacy. Ice machine will be an asset as well. Overall experience was a very pleasent stay.

The hotel is perfectly situated close to many restaurants and located in one of the safest neighborhood in Santo Domingo. It is less than 1 block away from the Malecón of Santo Domingo and a short taxi ride to all tourist attractions. The room was adequate in side for 2 people and although the housekeeping took until the late afternoon to clean the room, it was always done very well. This is a small hotel with a small pool in the rear and has a quaint feeling, without lacking luster. The only shortcomings were minor. Breakfast is served outdoors, which for a tropical location is no big deal, unless it rains. The hallways echo sounds, which can be disruptive since not all guests have common sense to be quiet at late hours. Perhaps the hotel would be better if they offer earplugs to guests who want more quiet at night. We always travel with our own and the noise did not bother us during the night, but I can see how it could be an issue to some. The staff was always helpful and friendly. The hotel does not offer currency exchange. We would stay again.

The hotel looks exactly like the pictures, very nice and kind staff upon arrival. The bell boy would help us since we arrived and was very nice. Room was ready and clean, everything was exactly as promised . TV is a bit small and the quality of image a bit poor but we watched a movie in my computer and it was great. Due to curfew the outside restaurant was closed so we ordered some pasta with room service , it was delivered within minutes and it was warm and delicious. In the morning, we had breakfast, which was included and. It was very delicious , I had seen several comments about the delicious omelets and indeed we ordered one and it was very very good!!! In our overall experience we would recommend it and repeat it as many times as possible! Oh. And also super important the location of these hotel it’s amazing super close to everything and one block from the ocean (malecón).

It was a nice hotel. The staff is amazing. This people should get paid very well because of their services. Very attentive. The hotel is very clean. The breakfast was good for the price also if you don’t want what is in the buffet they cook something for you if they have it. The AC was the best. I turned off because I was freezing.
The only thing that didn’t work properly was the hot water but it was ok for DR weather.

Awesome! Simultaneously quiet and convenient. Just off the main drag (George Washington Avenue) about two miles west of center city, so you can drive in or take the metro. Easy to park on the street. Gorgeous building designed to mimic a castle, with artwork on the walls. Great breakfast in their outdoor dining area included in room rate. Friendly and helpful staff.

I feel cat-fished by my experience at the Muaud Hotel - there are most definitely some misleading photos and reviews posted online for this property. While the staff was friendly and the hotel was conveniently situated near the Malecon and the Colonial Zone, I was disappointed to discover my room had no windows, none! The daily breakfast was not very appetizing and was fly infested. The neighbors were engaged in noisy construction projects which made sitting outside unpleasant. Would not recommend.

I've stayed here several times and I've noticed that the rooms upstairs are better than the ones downstairs. The bed in my downstairs room was uncomfortable and there was a problem with the movable shower head. The housekeepers are very good and the breakfast is also very good.

the way it look in the outside is good, but the cleanliness it was not that good at all, the pool was dirty, the sheets were dirty the bathroom was filthy, the staff was good

Castle like hotel

Hotel Room was the \"Extra\" Room..why NEXT TO THE PUBLIC BATHROOM - BOTTOM FLOOR NEAR THE POOL . NO WINDOWS.
Breakfast was good and the service good as well. Decore is basic but nice. The Place has potential IF THE LAND ACROSS THE STREET is nice at night..
