We had a wonderful stay in Innsbruck. The location truly couldn’t have been better—it was right in the heart of everything and made exploring the city incredibly easy.
The room itself was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. We especially loved the view—looking out over the town with the mountains in the background was incredible and made the stay feel even more special.
Check-in was simple and seamless, which made arrival stress-free. What really stood out was the location. We were just steps away from major sights, great restaurants, and convenient transportation options, making it easy to get around and experience the city.

Lovely hotel in the middle of shops and restaurants. Everywhere I was walkable. Staff were very attentive. Nice breakfast. The only odd thing was there was no wall between the bedroom and bathroom sink/shower area. If someone got up early to take a shower, the lights would not allow anyone else to stay asleep. Also you stepped out of the shower directly into the bedroom area. May be awkward for some people traveling together.

Just returned from a fantastic 2 night stay at this superb stylish hotel in an excellent location in the old town, right by the golden roof.
We stayed in the rooms with a balcony, which were situated at the back, felt very peaceful with stunning views of the mountains. The rooms were very clean and well thought through, with comfortable beds. Really enjoyed the variety and high quality breakfast. Would recommend this hotel.

The quality of the mattress and pillows are very poor. The mattress had a massive imprint off the previous thousands of people it was terrible to sleep in and we needed to leave a night early.

Absolutely lovely stay at Altstadthotel in Innsbruck. Probably one of the best hotels I've stayed at for customer service, the staff were absolutely fantastic and made the stay a joy. There was some street noise in night so I'd probably recommend a room towards the back of the hotel if you can but otherwise, I'm struggling to find fault with the rest of the hotel. Can't wait to visit again for longer.

A wonderful hotel located in the heart of the old city, close to everything. We had a very spacious clean room with lots of character on the top floor. A sofa made it extra cozy. The bed was super comfortable. We would hear church bell and see the mountains from the window which was priceless. The staff is very helpful and friendly, made us feel welcomed from the beginning to the end. One of the most memorable hotels we have ever stayed anywhere. Can't wait to go back!!!

It’s a cute hotel. Great location. Unfortunately upon entering hotel there were two housekeepers swearing in Russian. While I live in Canada, I understand Russian very well. It’s really not a nice vibe. I haven’t encountered such behaviour in Canada, UK or Russia. So it’s person specific not culture specific. The housekeeping employees need better training. Breakfast seemed overwhelmed. They didn’t have bowls for yogurt, then they didn’t have plates. In the evening bar looked cute but the cocktail we ordered was poured from a 1.5L plastic water bottle that was being reused. I understand they pre-made it, but the presentation needs to be better. Hotel rooms do not have an option of setting desired temperature. They set it at the reception and in the room I was only allowed to adjust 1.5 degree up or down. It was so hot in the room and I had no option of lowering the heat pulling. Wasteful of energy and very difficult for a customer.

The best location to stay in Innsbruck. Nothing beats staying at the heart of the old town. Easy access to plenty of nice restaurants in the area, very walkable. The rooms are clean and the room scent they use is a nice touch. Breakfast at the rooftop bar was really good as well. Decent variety and great quality alongside magnificent views.

I had a great time at Weisses Kreuz. The staff was wonderful, friendly and efficient. They provide excellent recommendations for restaurants (loved Piano Bar) and were helpful with directions. The only problem, if you have car you should call ahead to get directions to the garage. Cars are not allowed in the old city center.

We had a great stay. It was walkable from the train station and was right in the old town center. Perfect for seeing all the sights, shopping, eating and even walkable to the gondolas up to the top of Innsbruck. Breakfast was amazing. The staff was all so nice and helpful. What a wonderful hotel located in a very pleasing area, Altstadt Innsbruck. The owners have done a fantastic job updating this hotel built in the 1400s. Everything is top-quality from the furnishings to the hardware to the environmental intelligence to the breakfast. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I have stayed at Weisses Kreuz twice now, and will stay there every time I visit Innsbruck.

The Altstadthotel Weisses Kreuz is a unique hotel in the middle of the old town of Innsbruck. It is probably one of the best locations in town. The building has so much character being from 1465, yet the rooms are modern and top notch, with smart A/C that turns off when the windows are opened. It is a small business and the owners work themselves at the reception and the bar. Yes, bar and reception are both the same and they are on the 6th floor of the building! I rented one of their smallest room without breakfast for only a couple of nights, and the staff made me feel like I was their only guest. Incredible hospitality. I will recommend this place in one breath with Innsbruck.

Given we arrived before official check in time - we were cordially invited to have a complimentary drink, which we did enjoy sipping in comfortable chairs at their bar and breakfast room. Once we got our keys, the staff gave us complimentary ticketsto use as tourists around the city. Our room was well appointed including the stylish bed side tables, two seater sofa and very comfortable beds. The staff were happy to assist first time travellers to Innsbruck and answer any questions we threw at them. They gave us great restaurant recommendations within a few minutes of walking distance from the hotel. I loved being able to have drinks at the bar after 7.00 pm - once again the bar staff were attentive and happy to have a chat. The gin and tonic was perfect. I am looking forward to going back to Alstadthotel Weisses Kreuz and would recommend this hotel to my family and friends.
