This is the 3rd time we’ve stayed here. The price is great and it’s not too far from Downtown or Cannery Row. The rooms are clean, the staff is nice, and the water gets hot.

Only problem we had during this trip was the bathroom shower did not drain very well.

The room was very spacious and very clean with all the necessary amenities, including a microwave and a fridge. The staff, front desk and housekeeping, were all amazing. The first night we stayed in a room on the first floor. The guest in the room right above us was the problem. This person was walking back and forth making SO MUCH noise from 9 p.m. -12 a.m. Then it was quiet. Then the noise started again around 2:30 a.m until 3:30 a.m., and again from 5 a.m. until 8 a.m. We only slept about 3 hours. The next morning I went to the front desk and requested another room on the second floor. The young man (don't remember his name) was very nice and went above and beyond to accommodate our request. He gave us another room on the second floor, and we slept beautifully that night. The hotel is close to several shops, such as CVS, 7-Eleven, and a restaurant. All in all, I would stay here again but in a room on the second floor, and I really recommend it.

Overall this was a good experience for what I was looking for. I was in town for Mothers Day and was not expecting to spend much time at the hotel but I wanted a nice place to relax and sleep at the end of the day.

The hotel management was very nice. I was able to check in as soon as I got there and was able to find my room quickly. As I was not requiring much of the staff and hotel amenities I do not have a lot to say on that end. The parking was decent and I noticed a washer/dryer area on our way to the room. I did not see a pool or gym on the map so I am unsure if they are available.

The room itself was nice. It was simple and clean and perfect to walk into after a decent drive. The shower was good and maintained cold water, however I was unable to plug the drain to use the bath. I will not say it wasn’t user error but I could not find a way to plug the bath which was a bit sad.

Check-out was also very easy and we were able to get on our way on time.

TLDR: I was looking for a nice place to decompress and rest after weekend family festivities. I did not want to spend a crazy amount of money on a super fancy hotel that I wasn’t going to spend a lot of time in-but I didn’t want to be in a place that made me feel gross or uncomfortable. The reservation was easy, but confirming it was a pain and after reading several reviews of Monterey Hotels not having Hotel.com bookings I was worried. After a website chat I was told the hotel had my reservation but be aware if you call direct to the property to confirm it might not be there. Mine was there upon arrival.

This is most certainly an older hotel but the room was completely updated and had a super comfortable bed and pillows, great shower, nice Kerig coffee maker, fridge and microwave. The place was immaculately clean! We would only have hoped to have two bedside tables but there was just one. Parking was easy and just steps from the room. It felt safe and convenient to shopping and restaurants. We highly recommend staying here!

Despite the listing saying it is 24 hours front desk—what they actually have is a virtual call box that calls someone random from elsewhere. They make you scan your face which I did not want to do but it was late and we had to check in. They claim free parking but do not actually have many spots and tell you you can just park at the breakfast spot next door (sus!). The walls are very thin and the bed is hard and extremely creaky. The people who own this place are around but won’t do check in, just come out to scold you on where to park. Should have read the bad reviews honestly.

The bathroom smelled like sewer for some reason so luckily we only stayed one night and didn't use the shower. The room wasn't bad, but the noise level is insane. We didn't get a good night sleep, so I wouldn't recommend for a nice relaxing vacation. Staff is nice and everything was easy.

This room was perfect. The bed was comfy, The location in town was good, The bathroom was well stocked. Even the keurig coffeemaker was a nice touch. This property is an older set of buildings but the interior is clearly updated and renovated.

We laughed when we saw the earplugs on the counter in the bathroom. The TV playing in the neighbors room was loud enough to be annoying until after midnight, when I finally used the earplugs. I didn’t want to complain when the host had provided a “solution”. Unfortunately the earplugs came out sometime in the night and I awoke to stomping feet and the TV again a little after 5 AM. All was quiet again by 7 AM, so I got about another hour of sleep before we had to leave. I’m guessing the walls are paper thin and any noise between neighbors makes for some discomfort. We did not use the AC and perhaps the fan could have created some “white noise” to help diffuse the sounds from our noisy neighbors.

Second time staying here. Room is clean. Parking lot small and cramped but always able to find a spot. Good location. My only complaint this time is how loud it was. There were planes flying directly overhead at 530 am, I could hear peoples alarms clocks, road noise, any noise in the parking lot because the parking lot is right outside the rooms. The staff must be aware because there were earplugs in my room which I used and could still hear all the noise. If i could have run the fan constantly it would have helped a lot but it would turn off and on. I still would stay here again and would recommend this hotel

I was looking for a reasonably priced hotel near Carmel for two nights. This hotel, while only a two star, seemed to fit the bill. My main concern was cleanliness and this place did not disappoint. Parking was a little tight but we had no issues. It is only about 10 minutes from Carmel so the location was pretty convenient. I would certainly stay here again and at its price it is a bargain.

This is our second time staying here a year apart and it’s still a good stay! You can’t beat the price point for the location and a safe clean stay. We booked two rooms and here’s what I can say- check in and communication is easy. They have a new text system that is really convenient. The front desk worker we met this time was very nice and efficient. Both rooms were very clean. No smudges on the headboards, even the baseboards look dusted. You can tell they’ve done a renovation of the place and work to upkeep it. Rooms are simple, but come with a table, dresser, closet and plenty of space. There’s an ice machine and soda vending machine near the front office. There’s plenty of vacationers going in and out and it’s central to a bunch of food places.

Pacific Inn was the perfect place for a one night stay with an early flight the next day. The rooms appear to have been redone recently and are very spacious. My only suggestion to future guests is to request an upstairs room as the ceilings do not have much insulation to muffle people walking above you - especially when it's little kids who are jumping all over the place!

The room was clean but required us reaching out to staff for towels and a shower curtain. Parking is a bit of a challenge around the hotel. Our bed was very uncomfortable and squeaky. Any time people moved upstairs it sounded like Bigfoot and we could hear entire conversations next door. We will not be staying here again.

The TV was acting funny, it kept pausing. Also the ice machine was out of service one day. But overall, had a great stay!
